Generally clean and comfortable. Nice bed, nice bathroom, nice restaurant downstairs, and a very friendly staff. No noise complaints, but I stayed out in the city until about midnight each day. It was missing a few standards that make me think it shouldn't be a 4-star hotel. No coffee maker or kettle in the room. Also, no tissue paper, no bathrobe, slippers, or other basics that you would find in a 4-star hotel. BUT I would call it a HIGH 3 star hotel.
All of these missing items weren't a big deal. My main complaint was the air quality in the room. The windows don't open, and the fan/AC unit can be loud and disruptive during sleep. Since you're relying on the AC for fresh air, the air in the room sometimes seemed stagnant and humid. Simply being able to open a window would make a big difference.
The neighborhood is a bit quiet and 3 or 4 stops from the center. Not too far from the center, but a bit far to walk, and definitely in a residential, suburban area. Luckily, there is a tram stop right outside.
Don't expect any late-night food options nearby. However, it's difficult to find late night food in the entire city.
In all, there are a few drawbacks, but I would recommend the hotel, and I would consider staying again.

Everything was great, with one exception...
Staff was incredibly helpful, breakfast was just right. Location is very good also. The only problem we had was that a loud party was held in the hotel our first night, and obviously this was less than optimal. They assured us it was a rare event, but I encourage you to check.

Sono Hotel is definitely one of the best ones when in Brno! It has an amazing restaurant on site, almost daily concerts and is close to the city center. It also offers a great breakfast and has free underground parking!

Fantastic view, breakfast, and staff. Just know there is a nightclub downstairs and if a band is playing you hear it all night (till 4:00am). For us it was only one night of noise. Overall great hotel, dinner was great, bed was comfortable and large modern bathroom. I would go again.

Cool hotel. Good location, modern, stylish and next door to, allegedly, best concert theater in Europe! The sound was incredible, though. not bothering in rooms >] we were in the suite on the top floor, free upgrade. Room is very cool and modern incl. bathroom.

So much more at SONO...
We had a wonderful stay, in large part to Petra who greeted us, gave us a tip on a fantastic Italian restaurant in the neighborhood, took us into the SONO music club to see it, despite the fact we had booked when there was no concert. The hotel was modern - very hip and the club looked amazing. Next time, we will want to stay there for a music event - hope it's jazz. OMG, I can only imagine the acoustics and brass!!!

Tolles Hotel mit guter Lage zur Straßenbahnstation und umfangreichem Frühstück. Direkt an das Hotel angeschlossen ist ein Pub/ Restaurant und ein Music Club. Man konnte in der Nacht den Bass des Clubs hören. Das war das einzige Manko, sonst ist das Hotel sehr empfehlenswert.

Great Brno stay in Sono
Funny hotel located not far from Brno city centre, loud design in the walls makes it quite the business stop or also a party gathering club and stay. The reception staff were very helpful and detailed, so we're the restaurant staff. The only minus huge bathroom, big space not too welcoming, more like a hospital or handicapped bathroom in a gallery mall. Good breakfast included and overall positive experience 4/5 or 9/10 to my expectations.

Hotel, kterému by se v podstatě nedalo nic vytknout. Nový, moderně a stylově v duchu pop-rock hudby zařízen a designově vybaven, čistota ok, ochotný personál, snídaně ok. Pouze. Na pokoji nebyl psací stůl, pouze velmi nízký konferenční stolek, na kterém se nedalo nic dělat, pokud by si k němu člověk nelehl. Tenké stěny, přes které bylo slyšet, co si vedle povídají, a internet byl pomalý.

V hoteli sa pravidelne uskutocnuju diskoteky a podobne akcie, tiez v den nasho pobytu (v stredu) sa konala akcia a hudbu bolo pocut az na siestom poschodi. Nedalo sa spat do stvrtej rana, nikde pri bookovani upozornenie na tento fakt nebolo. Ak sa chcete v noci dobre vyspat, vyhnite sa tomuto hotelu.
