The location of this apartment is great, close to many main attractions in Barcelona and we were able to walk to many sightseeing places or take the Metro nearby. There are quite a few restaurants nearby as well.
If you want to cook breakfast by yourself, you will need to buy oil and salt because none of the basic spices is provided. It’s the same situation with washing clothes at this place because only one tablet of laundry soap is provided and the washer is tiny so you will need to buy laundry soap yourself. They only provide 2 tablets of dishwasher soap as well. The toilet paper is also rationed and there is no paper tissue provided either. There is no microwave so heating up food is challenging as they only have the toaster oven.

Excellent location and walkable to a lot of attractions and dining options. We had a 2 bedroom suite and one of the bedrooms didn't have good blinds so the morning light was a bit bothersome. The oven wasn't working so they sent someone to fix it. After it couldn't be fixed they brought us a microwave oven instead. Appliances were a bit old but the staff was very friendly and attentive.

We had an excellent stay at inside Barcelona, we were close to so many great restaurants and shops in Born and near trains and busses for everything we wanted to do outside of Born. They accommodated us with an early check in and a crib and high chair in great condition. The app was easy to use and the staff was very responsive by email and messages. Everything was clean and comfortable and away from the high traffic touristy parts of town. We had a great time, very satisfied with our time here!

The property was as described and perfect for our long stay. It is in a quieter area but with ample dining options as well as groceries within an easy walk. There is a hop-on/hop-off bus stop just down the road which makes seeing all the sites easy. The property was clean and well presented and was cleaned once during our stay which was perfect. Accessing the property was easy and when I dropped the coffee pot the housekeeping manager was extremely accommodating and delivered a new one very quickly without fuss.

Well-equipped gem in El Born
Conveniently located in El Born across from the historical market/archaeological museum (Born Center of Culture and Memory). Walking distance to so many museums, parks and zoo. Despite being in an active nightlife area, the apartment was super quiet when windows closed. Apartment has all you need (including washer/dryer, dishwasher, dishes, etc) for a long stay. It was very comfortable, but nothing fancy inside. Has one double bed and two singles. Although I was one person, three or four people could be very comfortable in this apartment.

It felt very safe and quiet, and just on the other side of the cultural center there was a plethora of dining and shopping options as well as the Picasso museum. on our departure day the office people were very nice and friendly and we were able to leave our luggage there, which gave us a few more hours to enjoy the El Born neighborhood. Our family was very happy to stay here and would stay here again if we return to Barcelona.

Our room was very comfortable and had all the amenities we could want. Most importantly, communication with Mariana was excellent from before we even checked in. We forgot our passports and cash in the safe and she immediately found a way to let us know. We had already left the city but she was able to overnight everything to our next hotel. Overall we enjoyed the stay. The location was perfect. I loved the check in/out process. I would have given it 5/5, if not a few minor things:
- Kitchen was missing a few essentials like salt, pepper, oil, etc

And it is really quiet most of the time until you have a noisy neighbour arriving in the same floor. We got some drunk girls next to us on the last few nights, who were singing and shouting at 12pm and 5am. But overall, we are happy with the apartment

The apartment was spacious and the kitchen well equipped. There was a lot of back staining on the sealant and tile grout around the bath, which spoilt the look. The washer/dryer was German so even with the instruction booklet in English, it wasn’t much use. There was wear and tear on some areas and it would have been good to have motion sensor lighting in the entrance lobby as it was very dark on a night.

Walls are quite dirty and need a paint job. the beds are uncomfortable. No supply of extra linens in case you feel colder at night. The location is fantastic. The front desk and support service is top quality: very kind, knowledgeable and hospitable office.The apartment furnishings apart from the bed are great and the patio area is a brilliant addition to have. I believe their other rooms were a lot better but the one we stayed in was decent value for money. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect apartment!
The location of the apartment was fantastic - in the quieter El Born district, but very close to many of the main attractions. We were able to walk to most everything. For a few things that were too far (La Sagrada Famila, Park Guell), we took the metro, which was nearby and very easy to navigate with the help of Google Maps. There is an Aldi grocery store within steps from the apartment, so we were able to fully stock the kitchen with what we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable, perfectly dark for sleeping, and it was very quiet. The space was open and bright. Only downside was that the tv only offered programming in Spanish, Catalan, or German. But on an international vacation, non-English tv is not a deal-breaker for us. Be aware that the apartment (at least the one we got) is 2 floors - the master bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor, and the living room, kitchen, and second bedroom are on the second. This was just fine for us, but may not be ideal for a family with small children. If we return to Barcelona, we will absolutely stay here again!

Comfortable clean apartment with fully stocked kitchen including washer/dryer. Great location in El Born, close to train station, park, old town, beach - just about everything, or close to public transportation if desired. Easy check in and out. Excellent customer service with things like recommendations, arranging for a cab, etc. The secure building has a lift. The apartment itself is over two floors with stairs. Would not recommend for small children, but charming for adults. We will return.

My wife and I stopped through Barcelona on our honeymoon. The apartment was in an absolutely perfect location. Close to the best tapas bars, beaches, metro, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only small complaint I have is that our 2 bedroom apartment didn't have a queen bed (it was two twin beds pushed together). I would still easily stay here again though!

We kicked off our Spanish honeymoon in Barcelona with a five night stay at Inside Barcelona Mercat and are so happy to have found such a wonderful place to stay. El Born is definitely THE place to be in Barcelona - it's tourist friendly but not a tourist trap and has a lot of great bars, shops and restaurants that are frequented by locals and tourists alike.
The apartment is in a gorgeous old building but is very clean and modern inside and has a full kitchen and spacious living area that is separate from the bedroom. It felt really comfortable and homely and we loved it. Check in was really easy and all of our communication with staff was great. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone coming to beautiful Barcelona.

We had a great stay in our Barcelona flat! The location is awesome! The flat has laundry, espresso machine, & a great kitchen. It is also quiet a night! The stairs btwn floors threw us a bit at the beginning- but we got used to it !

Comfortable, modern, quiet apartment. Good location - short walk to shops and restaurants. Within 10- 15 minutes walk to the sea, Gothic quarter, metro station (jaume 1) so great for sightseeing. Inside Barcelona staff were great. Provided good instructions on how to get from the airport to their office, then Andrea walked us to the apt and gave us all the info about the apt. The staff also booked and printed our tickets for Parc Guell which we wanted to visit on the last day of our stay. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed 5 nights, and wish that we would have booked it longer. Easy check-in procedure. The customer service was amazing, not just with how to operate appliances in the apartment, (we did not read the language), all of the staff was also extremely helpful with suggestions on sight seeing, restaurants, public transportation, and the like. Had to work a bit, and the wi-fi was great. Perfect view from the juliet balconies of the Barcelona Cultural Center, right across the street. One block from old town El Born on that side, and one block on the other side is Parc de La Ciutadella, 1 1/2 blocks to the train station, and a short 5 minute or so walk to the beach. Perfect location. Although we were right in the middle of everything, the apartment was very quiet. When we return to Barcelona, we would love to stay here again. And, it as an elevator!

Really comfortable apartments in a very nice location. We were expecting a duplex apartment but were given a 2 bedroom apartment on the 1st floor with the added bonus of our own terrace. The facilities were very good with very good wi fi. The bedrooms were good though the 2nd bedroom was small ok for two smaller children but a bit squashed for two teenagers.

We stayed in apartment of 8 nights and had a very pleasant stay. There was lots of room, the apartment was well equipped, the staff were great. A great location to walk around the \"downtown\" of Barcelona. We appreciated it was not too close to La Rambla because that area is very busy. There are loads of great places to eat nearby, or you can buy food and cook yourself. The wine is excellent and inexpensive. I gave it less than full marks for the hotel facilities because the sofa was a bit rough and really should be replaced. It was like you were sitting on the floor. The tub chairs were fine.
The TV channels were limited, but that was not be very important for us. The wifi worked fine.
There is no one at a \"front desk\" 24 hours a day; however the staff provide an emergency phone number if you need them on off hours. The office is about a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

Also within walking distance of the marina, beach, etc. Directions to the agency (Inside Barcelona) were easy to follow. We were escorted to the apartment and the agent showed us around. They were very helpful when we reported a leak from the shower cubicle. All things considered we would recommend these apartments.

The only change we would suggest to improve the apartment would be to have a double bed rather than 2 singles pushed together. Other than this the apartment was superb...do NOT let this put you off staying here...it is only a minor point which stops it from being perfect!!!

Before we arrived, we were given very clear and helpful instructions on how to get to the office either by taxi or train (we took the train from the airport which was really easy). On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly staff member and taken to our apartment just a few minutes walk away from the office. We were then given some maps and really helpful info about the area. The apartment itself was clean, spacious and airy and in a fantastic location in a quiet street but near the beach and next to the bustle of the older part of Barcelona. It was just the two of us but we would definitely consider bringing our two children next time as it is a great apartment for families. The kitchen was really well equipped to. The only little thing was the bathroom was a bit more tired looking than the rest of the apartment but that really is only a minor thing. We stayed for 3 nights but would definitely consider going back and staying longer.

Almost, but not quite. Really nice people helped us with the apartment, great location and great value for money. Only problem was the bedroom was 2 single beds with very uncomfortable mattresses. We will go back to Barcelona next year, but we really need a decent, comfy nights sleep.

Travelling with teenagers, we've learned that apartments are so much better (and no more expensive) than staying in hotels - and so much nicer and more family friendly. We have just stayed at the Apartments Mercat and I am delighted to report that this place has totally made our short trip to Barcelona completely wonderful ! What really delighted me most however was the neighbourhood; I echo everything already said by other reviewers about the apartment itself and the helpfulness/friendliness of the staff, the proximity to everything and so on. But what I wanted to highlight was the El Born district itself - beautiful old town feel, narrow winding streets, the park on your doorstep, and hundreds of bars, tapas restaurants, little shops, plus the beautifully restored market building which contains some carefully preserved excavated remains of the old city. I will without doubt stay here again!
