Everything was great! Only issue was the link to access the building entrance, so had to call the office to get the code. (They should just give you the codes for both building and unit entries.) Definitely would stay again. Perfect for a couple or solo traveling.

Perfect location, in the Gothic quarter. Lots of great restaurants nearby. The keyless entry (link via a phone) to the building and elevator is really straight forward. The apartment was small, with a balcony but perfect for what we needed. It’s equipped with everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Would definitely stay here again due to the location.

Great property really quirky and cute. Had everything we needed. My only gripe would be the lift in to the room. I’m sure it’s safe as all our stuff was fine but it just makes you a little worried, I’ve just never seen direct access to the room from the lift.

When we arrived, all seemed well. Small space, great location, perfect for 2 people. Within the first day we discovered that the Air Conditioning didn’t work, there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling (which someone had to know about because they left a rag on the sink to absorb water), and a cockroach visited the first night.
The company sent an auto email inquiring about our first day and I reported the issues, but received no response. Prior to our arrival, I received plenty of correspondence to my questions.
The location is ideal, right in the middle of Barri Gotic, but it is quite noisy until 2-3 am - especially when you have to leave the windows open for any air flow or relief from the heat.
Spectacular Empanada place across the street, a tiny pharmacy, as well as ice cream within 150ft of the door. Wifi worked great within the building, but was sometimes tough to connect to when trying to enter the front door (which is needed to open since there are no keys)
Just very frustrating when by the time we left, no one bothered to contact regarding the broken AC, and by the time we left (after 6 days) there were three leaks in the bathroom ceiling. And the night before we left there was a robbery on the street not far from the building - sadly not uncommon where there are lots of tourists.
Glad we visited Barcelona, but would not stay here again.

When we arrived, we were told that our apartment building had been flooded and that we were being put into a different apartment. This turned out to be a pokey little room, nothing like the picture here, with stains all over the blinds and a hard bed. Our 'balcony' that we were told about as an added bonus to this replacement room was pretty non-existent and we feel like we were on the receiving end of a bad car salesman! We were told to ask the next day if we could be moved, if we didn't like the new room, but when we went back to ask, we were told that everything else they had was booked. We were not offered any discount. One good thing was that the room was very central and easy walking distance to local amenities. I wouldn't recommend this place, unless you are expecting it to be the same quality as a student hostel.

The only positive comment was the staff at main office, everything else was awe full. Properties do not look at all what your website post. Property not close to office checking (took us 1 1/2hr hawling our luggage to find), room was dirty, no amenities included (no toilet paper), ceiling lights with no bulbs & hanging expose wires, mold around shower in some areas, lots of clutter around staircases & elevator door ways. Property being book while under construction. Charge per night was robbery. Will not recommend or stay at these properties EVER!

Do Not Stay Here

Our room was not prepared as promised so my family had to split up and stay on separate floors. Elevator was broken. Bathroom was dirty with no soap. We contacted hotel to tell them we were unhappy and had to leave and got not response. We also contacted them when we realized we left our child’s lunch box in the fridge so we could come retrieve it. Again they did not respond. We found a 4 star hotel with pool for the same price range.

Reception staff problems

The taxi took us to the address, which apparently was only for colleccting local fee and gving you the address and key for the room. My wife and I had been traveling acrxoss the US on busineess for several meeting and formal events, then to Europe, so we had two large suitcases and a hang up bag, plus two carry one for our comuters and business papers, etc. We were give the key and a map, and told we had to carry our bags several blooks through Barcelona into the Gothic section and the young men at the receptions, who were sitting behind the counter would not assist. I am in my 70s with high blood pressure and my wife is disabled. They said I should therefore just carry one ag at a time and make five round trips. They desccribed it as a good short walk each way. Finally they offered to call a cab, which charged us 40 Euros --- not such a short trip. But once in the room, which was quite small, but with a modern bath, stone walls and old wood beamed ceiling, we were fine and the location of the room in the Gothic area is very nice.

Great location, nothing else good. Started off with person at reception complaining that she didn't even have time to eat. Rollaway bed immediately collapsed so I spent the whole vacation on the floor. Blankets actually had mold on them.... unbelievable. Would never return here.

Small apartment needing some maintenance. We came back one evening to find that some electrical work had happened in the apartment while we were out. We were not informed by the hotel. Had a visit from a mouse during our last night, chewed through our muesli packet. Fantastic area full of bars, restaurants and quirky shops. Overall good value for price.

The appartment is in the center of where it all happens in Barcelona, everything is nearby. The only thing that bothered us, but that's the case in every city regardless the hotel, is the noises during the night. It sometimes cut back a bit on the hours of sleep, but in general we were very pleased with our appartment which had everything we needed and the rest was easily found outside.

The 325 sq. meter room was basic. The overall cleanliness was not great. The A/C was dirty, walls were smeared and floors were dusty. The bathroom was slightly clean. There were no hooks or any place to hang even a bath towel, let alone clothes. The housekeeping was classified as \"limited\", but there was none. I requested the first night for extra pillows and a blanket. My request was never fulfilled. The staff at the office are great and overworked. They can not keep up with the volume of clients checking in and out. They also hold, luggage at check out for folks that need somewhere to stash luggage before leaving the city. For 3 nights, I paid $463.00. Very overpriced for what we received. I will not do business with AinB again.

Lovely apartment in the El Born district

We thought was well well positioned and the room was very comfortable. It allowed us to immerse ourselves in the local culture.

The only issue was we were placed in an apartment which was not the one we had booked. And this apartment was not of the standard of the booked one. However we were able to chance to the original room which we both enjoyed very much.

Not as good as it looks!

The photos are correct but the smell in the entrance area can not be shown via photos. This apartment is smelly, the cleaner doesn't give new towels daily and it's not comfortable.
Also in the lobby it's a trip Hazzard, there is beds and bags on the stairwell... its a mess.

Without saying anything, reception checked us into a different property that was significantly inferior and is almost 20% cheaper on the website.

Had to call hotels.com to get this resolved - didn't ever get into the 'Picasso' building and the apartment we were 'upgraded' to was OK but poorly equipped (soap, shampoo etc.) and was next to a construction site.

Recommend you avoid this company.

Fun adventure in Barcelona!

Pros:
1.Literally walking distance to everything.
2. The kitchen is a nice touch.
3. The staff is very pleasant and attentive throughout your stay. I.e. came in early and left late, they stored our luggage for us.
Cons:
1.There were some guys talking very loudly on the phone until around 12-1 am. In US they would probably be labeled as shady, not sure why they were there or what they were selling. Nevertheless, they were not threatening or presented a sense of danger at any time. Just simply hanging in the street and super loud. This was a little disrupting and again, only because we were a family. I group of friends renting this place would probably not care much about this. A family or couple WOULD as the guys sound so close they could be on the other side of the window looking in :o)
2. The shower water was draining off the shower and into the bathroom.
3. Beds were hard, combined with a loud noise from the guys hanging by the window and the thin pillows hardly supporting our necks sleeping was a little difficult.
4. I think it all comes to the price. What you get for what you pay. Being very fair I think we probably paid about 30-40$/night more than what the place is worth for this floor. Would we come again, yes. We would just be more insistent that we get a top floor which would most probably alleviate any issues.
In conclusion I would highly recommend the hotel placing families and couples on the upper floors while groups on the lower.

Great Gothic area apartment. Easy walk.

This location was perfect for us. Easy walk to the beach, anywhere in the Gothic area and more! The metro is one block away and very easy to navigate, and taxis are readily available. Nearly everything has an English translation in the area, on menus, etc.

Draw backs would be:
* They didn't have more than one key for our room and then complained when they had to let my daughter into the room because I was not back yet.
* The address and picture they have on Expedia is only one of their APARTMENT locations. Their RECEIPTION location and the location you have to go to for your keys, check in, etc is in a location they never give you on this booking. Expedia needs to be updated. ACTUAL ADDRESS IS: Calle Jaume I (that's a capital 'i'), 13, 08002 and phone is +34 933 106 623

We loved this location and I would visit again!

A delightful apartment with a wonderful location. Room is spacious with all amenities you need. A great base to explore this vibrant city. Tiny gripe, the kettle was broken however in the scheme of things this is no massive problem with so many cool cafes a stones throw away!

We had a great stay here - really quirky apartment, in a central location so we were within walking distance of all the main attractions. We absolutely loved the stay here, and would definitely return

The only slight criticism if I'm being really picky is that we were in the 1st floor apartment, so it was quite noisy from general hustle and bustle down below, which meant we had to keep the windows shut at night. There is air con though, so not a major issue, but next time we stay we will request an apartment slighly higher up.

Amazing Location

We stayed at the AinB Picasso Apartments on the last weekend of November. Being our first time in Barcelona we were keen on getting the location just right. The apartment is situated between the Gothic Quarter and El Born. It's also a short stroll down to Las Ramblas. There's a metro just a 2 minute walk from the apartment and plenty of bars, restaurants and shops surround. The apartment itself is pleasantly basic, everything you need is provided with a large shower and neat kitchenette. The only downfall was there being two single beds with two single duvets when a king size bed was advertised. Other than this, AnB Picasso Apartments is extremely great value for money!

Awful reception staff.

The staff at the reception is very nice until you ask specifics things, such as a second set of keys. Check in is not before 3pm -- and in my case I had to wait until almost 4pm. Bags can be left at the reception, but there is absolutely no control on who pick them up. Be also prepare to buy everything you usually find in an hotel room. There was no soap, no shampoo and no toilet paper refill (half a roll for a whole week).

The AinB Picasso apartment was a great surprise. It's located in El Born, my favorite neighborhood in Barcelona. The apartment itself is a real treat. Very clean, comfortable. Has a kitchen if you like to cook some of your own meals. Only downside is having to walk a couple blocks to the main office to check in, but it's less than 5 minutes.

Comfortable apartment in easy loaction

The studio isa good size, enough for my partner and I but I won't recommend it for any more than 2 people. Everything was comfortable, clean and within easy walking distance to attractions (beach, El Born, Gothic Quarter, etc), plus the metro was within a couple minutes walk to get to those attractions that were further away. Only downfall is that you can hear furniture being moved in the studio above you in the morning which was a little annoying if you like to sleep in like us :)
All in all a great little studio and I would stay again.

A really good place to stay.

I found this studio apartment easy to find from the information that was provided and the street that it was in was very convenient for shops and bars. When we arrived we were early, but even though our room had not not been cleaned, the person who checked us in gave us a key and we left our bags in the room. This was a real bonus, as it meant that we could begin our holiday, rather than having to go back later.

The apartment was great, very clean, had a small balcony to see the street from above and aircon!! The small kitchen was useful and we sometimes ate in. We couldn't work the hot plate, so asked one of the cleaners and we hadn't put a pan on it!

Everyone was really nice and we would definitely go back, next time though we'd like the apartment with the roof terrace.

These apartments are better than a hotel room and if you have a problem, the staff are willing to help.

I read some of the reviews before we left and a lot of them are really negative...I think people forget that they are staying in a studio apartment!!

The apartment is very small but nice. One thing that's cool is that the elevator opens directly into the apartment. The shower is nice but the hot water didn't last long. Also be aware that the check-in desk is not at this location. It is approximately a 3 minute walk to the office. We stayed on the first floor so we were closest to street level...the noise from the street invades the apartment.

Good aparrtment-2mins walk from Picasso museum and 5mins from Ramblas. Clean and good quality apprartment. No bedding other than a sheet-eventually obtained blankets. People running the hotel difficult to contact-twice-no answer from emergency number-office to leave bags at intermittently open so was difficlut to leave and retrieve luggage on last day. Cleaned room once during 4 day stay.
Good shower and firm bed. Few cooking facilities if you wished to prepare own meal.

Apartment ok, but description is wrong

I stayed in a Picasso Corders apartment (no. 5) for 3 nights, in September '11.

The apartments are in a good location, easy walking distance from the metro (3mins from the Jaume 1), many local shops and restaurants, catherdral, park, a market, and the picasso museum. It is about 10-15min walk to the Ramblas or the seafront.

The apartments are in the older part of town, which is a maze of narrow streets crammed with small shops, bars and restaurants. The graffiti makes the area look a bit rougher than it is, but it is safe enough. This was my 4th trip to Barcelona, and I prefer this part of town, rather than near the Ramblas which is touristy, crowded and overpriced.

On arrival the apartment building was locked, but luckily another couple were waiting too, and had already contacted the representative who arrived shortly. Note that the apartments DO NOT have a 24hr reception, as described; to get your key, you need to contact the representative or go to their offices 5mins away. There is also NO bar or lounge.

The apartment itself was clean and nicely decorated, but was a bit smaller than expected, and had no balcony or outside sitting area (shown in photos); I think the top apartment 6 has a outside area. The kitchen and cooking facilities were more limited than expected; you just get a sink, kettle, toaster, microwave and an electric stove top. It wasn't a bad apartment, just smaller than other places we'd stayed, and not a bad choice if you can get it at a good price.

If You Want Location This Is it, But............

Just come back from staying 4 nights at this apartment. Its location is great literally 200 meters from the old cathedral and gothic quarter and the town and shopping area from Plaza Catalunya within easy walking distance. The apartment is nice although the kitchen area is a token effort with fridge, microwave, plug in ring, toaster and kettle. Apartment has been done out quite cheaply particularly the bathroom that was already showing signs of wear and age. Neighbourhood is a little run down but perfectly safe and quiet after midnight. We were on the first floor so quite a bit of noise carried up from the passage, its not a street, but most of the noise came from the other occupants with an almighty row that went on to the early hours of the morning. Our apartment was not cleaned and the towels & sheets were not changed during our stay but that didn't bother us too much. Its fine for a short stay.

The apartment was minimalist but comfortable and complete. The only thing was the first day, the application used for the access was loosing the connection with the server and stayed in the elevator without knowing what to do, pushing buttons and nothing was working. Finally it resolved itself but was a little bit frustrating. The communication using Expedia and the owner was a little bit confused. Expedia was sending textos about received messages but there was nothing when looking into the application Expedia. Finally received email and all was resolved. The technology is practical but when it fails humans are supposed to be accessible, more important when you are in another country and another language.

There are a lot of pictures on e.g. expedia about this hotel. But none of these were from our room which was less nice than these on the official pictures. The King size bed was a little too small for us and had only one big blanket.
The bathroom was superficially clean but black in the corndes (mould?).

You definetely need a phone with internet access to open the main door and to use the elevator, which opens directly in your room! You get a link to a mobile website where you can open the doors and use the elevator via toggles!
The main door was not easy to open (with a lot of power)!

I got 3 numbers, where only the WhatsApp number worked. The responses of my messages were fast.
We were one hour too early at the location so the mobile website was still locked! I needed to call the reception so the website was unlocked one hour earlier for us which was good!

The location is great if you want to walk around the gothic quarter.

Läget var helt fantastiskt och enkelt att hitta. Rummet var toppen, men det luktade inte så gott från badrummet - det verkar vara fukt eller annan doft (kattpiss?!) där inne. Golvet i pentrydelen var fuktskadat och bolvbrädorna var buckliga så det knappt gick att öppna nödytterdörren. Vi använda inte denna dörr för hissen går rätt upp i lägenheten.

Die Unterkunft hat eine perfekte Lage für alle Unternehmungen und ist dennoch nachts erstaunlich ruhig. Unser Apartment war im fünften Stock, hat circa 32 m² und war sehr geräumig und Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet .Es gab ein sehr bequemes Bett und ein großes Bad. Der Aufzug führt direkt ins Apartment, dies ist etwas seltsam ,wenn plötzlich die Putzfrau drin steht.Es war alles sehr sauber und alles was man brauchte vorhanden.Die Kommunikation verlief bestens und die Rezeption war sehr hilfreich. Wir konnten das Apartment sogar gleich vormittags beziehen da es glücklicherweise frei war. Insgesamt können wir es uneingeschränkt empfehlen

Vi var et par med en 14 årig dreng som fik et trippeværelse. Alle senge var gode og komfortable. Badeværelset var lækkert og rent og der var masser af skabsplads.
Servicen i re eptionen var fantastisk, både om natten ved indtjekning og om morgenen hvor vi fik lov til at få opbevaret bagage, mens byen blev besøgt. Der er gode Morgenmads steder 3 min Ca g fra hotellet. Virkelig god oplevelse😀

ambiente angusto buio una specie di mezzanino con una sorta di finestra carceraria sopra il portone.con questa cifra saremmo potuti andare in hotel

Ok but not without spots

First surprise, the reception was in another building about 500m away. Second surprise, I got a wrong key, entering somebody else's appartment... finally after another trip to the reception (the cleaning woman helped me to put the loggage in the right room so I didn't carry them again) finally I landed in the right one. It loked less good as the other person's... nnyway. The room is a bit smelly after you come back to it and the floor looks about to burst. Otherwise clean and comfy and well, it was quite ok all in all, I could even come back. But I could have lived without the initial adventure...

Mooi appartement

Het appartement welke wij bezocht hebben was een beetje moeilijk te vinden. Je kunt je auto niet voor de deur parkeren en bent aangewezen op de parkeergarage. Houdt rekening met hoge parkeerkosten. Wij waren 94 euro kwijt voor 2 dagen. Het appartement zelf is voorzien van alle gemakken en is ook nog erg nieuw maar wel met hoge plafonds en de oude deuren en luiken maken het heel sfeervol. Toch deed de tweede dag de TV het niet. Waarschijnlijk had dit te maken met de kabelaansluiting. Wifi deed het wel goed. Appartement is ook heerlijk stil en voorzien van een lift. Zeer apart was de glazen vloer op de begane grond. De receptie zit om de hoek en is maar beperkt open. Wel zeer vriendelijk personeel. Restaurants en winkeltjes zitten op loopafstand evenals de kathedraal. Zeer mooie plek om vanuit hier Barcelona te verkennen. Ook bus en metro vlakbij. Je kunt vlakbij ontbijten bij de bakker om de hoek maar ook een supermarkt is in de buurt voor degene die liever zelf zijn ontbijt klaarmaakt. In het appartement zit ook een keuken inclusief een magnetron, koelkast en broodrooster.
Wij hebben hier twee heerlijke dagen gehad.
