We stayed here for 2 nights in the ‘quiet rec’ however it was anything but quiet and we barely slept even after purchasing ear plugs for the second night! We were in room 101 which was right near the lift so it could have been that, banging, sliding doors and noise all nigtt he long. Apart from that it was very clean, staff were lovely, good central location for everything you could need. Would we stay here again, yes but definitely not in the rooms next to the lift!

Room was weird. A couch and a twin bed put together was the bed. I emailed two weeks prior to my arrival to ask about their laundry service and no response. The day I get there I asked and was told “I don’t know “ “I don’t know it’s an outside company” and no further assistance with laundry. The staff was dismissive.

The room and hotel were modern and comfortable. We were warmly welcomed with a glass of cava at the reception, which was a lovely touch in the room as well. The rooftop space is an excellent spot to enjoy a drink or snack while taking in the Barna landscape, and it can also be a perfect place to work for a few hours. Great place and location! And their restaurant downstairs is superb!

The location was the best, right by the Arc de Triunf and the big park, very close to La rambla. Clean, great quality service. I cannot recommend it enough. The rooftop was nice but not many people used it at night. Probably because there is so much to do in Barcelona.

I stayed at Hotel Rec Barcelona recently and had mixed impressions. The location is excellent — very central and convenient for exploring the city, with lots of restaurants and attractions nearby. The design and style of the hotel are modern and appealing, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful.

However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness. My room didn’t feel properly cleaned, and some areas could use more attention from housekeeping. The bed was okay and fairly comfortable, but the overall room maintenance didn’t meet my expectations.

Booked the hotel as it’s a great location also right on both the bus & hop on hop off buses.
Receptionist was very accommodating & booking in was seamless. Room spacious & clean. Shame there was no fridge as apparently it was a premium room.
Breakfast was ok. Didn’t use the restaurant as ate out on our stay.
Beware if booking because of pool facilities. It’s very very small. More a plunge pool than a swimming pool. So a little disappointing. Overall a pleasant stay.

Great and modern hotel, rooms and facilities. They offer a variety of activities to do for free across the week. Staff were helpful and friendly. Greay variety of hot food, fruits and pastries alongside juices and coffee for breakfast. Breakfast and the bar are also on the rooftop whoch overlooks the city. Great location within walking distance of most things and a subway if you're exploring further out. Definitely recommend!

Hotel REC is the perfect base for exploring Barcelona. There's loads of restaurants and bars within walking distance with bus stops and metro station within a few minutes' walk.

All the staff we met were really friendly and helpful. I'm sorry I didn't get her name but the receptionist who checked us in was lovely and helped us get our safe working.

The room was spotless, huge bed, the shower, toilet and sink were all separate, so really practical and there were loads of sockets for electrical items. The safe in the room was free.

Breakfast was excellent - lots of choice of meat, scrambled eggs, 3 different cereals, toast and baked goods, yogurts and was slightly different each day.

The pool and bar were fun. On Saturday 20th there was a fantastic singer/keyboard player in the bar. She played and sang beautifully with a mix of English and Spanish songs.

The hotel were happy to store luggage for us on the last day. They have a room with different size lockers (big enough for suitcases) and we got a card that unlocked it.

I'd highly recommend staying here to explore Barcelona.

Uber and taxi can’t stop in front of hotel you need to go to the bus stop which is fine if it’s t late night or you are not carrying luggage’s!!
It was some sort bug/insect on the sofa in the breakfast /lounge area. I saw couple of them on the sofa.

We stayed as a group at the Hotel Rec and had a great time! The rooms were as expected, very nice and comfortable. We really enjoyed the roof top lounge and bar. The nightly events were great, we did a beer tasting with good information on the local beer. Had a great time!

Location is great, bus and metro very close which can get you to the beach or anywhere else in Barcelona. Room was spacious, shower was big and beds were comfy. Only issue I had with the room is : 1 there is nowhere to put your clothes. There was a very tiny wardrobe to hang 3 dresses and one small shelf for some extra clothes but everything else we left either in the suitcase or on the one table that was available. 2 the room is in tiles so you will need slippers to walk around unless you don't mind it. The room has aircon. Shower and toilet are separated.
Breakfast was ok ISH. Nothing special but it is fine for what it is. The Pool area is very small altho very lovely to enjoy the breakfast, for swimming or sunbathing is to small.
Staff are super nice and helpful and attentive.

I had a wonderful stay in Barcelona — the hotel’s rooms were absolutely gorgeous, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond, even reserving a taxi for me and offering a glass of cava at check-in, which was a lovely touch. I would definitely stay here again.

One thing to note: while the hotel itself felt safe and comfortable, the surrounding area seemed a bit sketchy at night. I unfortunately witnessed a pickpocketing incident just outside the hotel, so extra caution is advised when walking around after dark.
