This isn’t a hotel, it’s part of an old building. if you get a room and balcony it’s very nice but others you could be looking at a wall. 10-15 minutes walk to the cathedral, lots of bars and restaurants on route.

We stayed in the quad room with our 2 kids and ir was a nice big space and beautifully decorated. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Tiny elevator and room on the 4th floor but we got good exercise.

Good, no-frills b&b in center of Barcelona

A nice, no-frills b&b near Arc d'Triomf. The neighborhood has plenty of food options, and is centrally located to the metro.

Stayed in the 1b room, which is understandbly a bit squeezed, but it was more than fine for my needs. Nice shower/bathroom.

The only true issue is that the hall and stairwell are quite echoey and can be loud when people are chatting outside your door or are opening/closing the doors to their rooms. Fortunately, this wasn't an all-night issue, but I was awakened 3 times. Not sure there is much that can be done except asking guests to be quiet and mindful.

Smelled weird in the bathroom, probably because of the air conditioning. A lot of noise early in the morning or late at night by the other costumers or by the staff members. The room are not really isolated and the fact that their is no door separating the entry desk from the rooms amplified the inconvenience.

Infelizmente foi muito ruim, o quarto tinha uma janela que dava para parede, totalmente escuro e claustrofóbico. Não havia nenhum copo ou mesa no quarto e não havia lixo, apenas no banheiro. Não tinha como manter o quarto organizado e tudo que pedíamos achavam alguma desculpa por não ter, o copo por exemplo falaram que era para evitar o COVID, e não tinha nenhum no hotel inteiro para nos oferecer. O chuveiro do banheiro estava danificado e o recepcionista disse que tinha alguns quebrados e pronto, perguntamos o que seria feito e a resposta que estavam quebrados e pronto. O lugar que pedimos para aquecer o alimento era um depósito largado. As fotos não condizem em nada com o que vão te oferecer, fotos e avaliações são lindas mas digo que não é a realidade e isso será determinante para atrapalhar toda sua estadia em Barcelona.

This is a comfortable but basic place. The rooms are on the 4th floor of a multi use block.
The lift is small and if you have mobility issues; this probably won't suit you.
On arrival, I received a friendly welcome from the receptionist
The room itself while not the biggest, was perfectly good for my needs on this visit. There is quite a bit of noise from the floor above and from adjoining rooms; so if you have trouble sleeping, bring earplugs.
There are plenty of bars, restaurants and coffee shops within easy reach and the excellent transport system is only a few minutes walk away with Metro stations and bus stops within easy reach. Taxis and Uber are also plentiful.
If you are looking for a good value bed for the night to explore what Barcelona has to offer; then this place is a good call.
I'd happily stay here again.

I made my reservation months in advance to enjoy the beautiful views of this hotel while visiting Barcelona for the first time. When we arrived, I was given a room with no windows and completely different from the pictures. The bed was divided and was very uncomfortable for my partner and I. The air conditioning is controlled by the front desk and the temperature is the same for all the rooms located on that floor. When I requested to be changed to a different room they said no and asked me to pay extra if I wanted a different room. Lastly, I was asked to pay a different amount for tourist tax than the website was indicating and the receptionist couldn’t explain why.

Most definitely won’t stay there ever again!

the room does not reflect the images online. there is barely one foot of space to move around the bed. Tiny bathroom. No space for your toiletry bag. a plastic cup. no glass for water. I asked for a cup to put hot water in, no response.
There is no reception. You have to buz-in for the door to open..Same for the first floor. The reception desk is on the 4th floor manned with one person. VERY UNFRIENDLY.
One night around 8pm, when buzzing to open the door a guy out of nowhere jumped my friend to step her iPhone..She cut her hand and was bleeding..Very unsettling. The stay was unpleasant and uncomfortable.

Our stay at this hotel met all of our needs during our time in Barcelona! The room was very small and basic- just a bed and a desk, but we didn’t need much more than that. Staff was always very helpful and friendly, and the location is fabulous if you’re looking for lots of eating options close by. We were walking distance from pretty much everything we wanted to see in the city. Overall, would recommend with the condition to probably upgrade to a deluxe room if you’re looking for more of a hotel vibe :)

Don’t go by the picture in the ad. It’s a very small hotel with very small rooms. Black mold in the shower. Blankets were dirty and had to be replaced. When u walk in there is a window - it’s broken. The hotel is an overpriced hole in the wall. It was close to the Arch however. Wish we hadn’t pre-paid…..would have left.

The room was small but clean. Had nice shutters on the balcony windows so that you can make the room dark and quiet. Room did not have a full length mirror which is something that would be helpful.

Pros - The gentlemen at the counter were really nice. I appreciated they let us store our luggage prior to check in, however they were unable to hold them for a couple of hours after check out. I love that the room we were in had a balcony. While it was really hot outside the air conditioner cooled the room adequately after a relatively short while. The hotel is situated in an area close to the metro and close to really nice areas for walking and it felt safe. Comfortable for four people (2 adults and 2 young kids) but pretty tight with only 2 luggage.
Cons - I was very nervous because while it is advertised as a hotel online, the sign outside says “hostal”. That said, there was a private bathroom so it was okay. The room was not cleaned one of the days despite us being out for quite some time and not having the “do not disturb” sign up. The elevator did not work one of the days (we were told via email the night before check in) making it challenging as the hotel is located on the 4th floor with two flights of stairs per floor.
Overall - I do think the price is a little high but I’m happy with it overall.

Hotel is hidden away- no visible sign. However it’s centrally located.

Staff superb. Location great with nice dining choices nearby. At night walls vibrate with noise from motor (of a pump or a/c?). Also, in order to access elevator one must walk a flight of 8 stairs. So, if you have mobility issues this is not the place for you.

This hotel does not hold luggage outside of check in/out. I have stayed in 6 hotels in Barcelona so far and others on different travels and a baggage hold is something I have come to assume is standard. It doesn't mention on the booking website that luggage storage is not available. The hotel website says free luggage storage is available! Then, in the fine print of the booking email they say they do not have this service. We used a nearby \"locker\" service which was the back room of a newsagent. It was fine but another deadline to get back for before the transfer to the airport. I could've booked a hotel I had stayed at previously for the same price and been happier but decided to stay here to be in a different location. The reason the hotel gave as to why there was no luggage storage was that it is a boutique hotel without the space. I don't accept that as good enough since one of the Barcelona hotels I've stayed in previously was clearer about being \"boutique\" and still ensured they had luggage storage. The photos of the rooms look spacious but I had to climb over my boyfriend to get in/out of bed because it was pushed against the wall. The room was modern and clean with a nice sized en-suite that had a really good shower and decent water pressure. The location was central and the staff spoke English well and one was very polite and professional, but sadly I can't say I will ever stay here again because of the luggage.

Not sure how the cleaning lady cleaned but there were were bleach spots on our pyjamas, something we noticed first when we left. Why anybody would be cleaning around the bed with bleach is beyond me. So that really ruined the experience. Also the heating didn't work the first night so it was very cold. They explained that all the ACs were connected so if one guest turned it on that it would be turned in all the rooms which also made absolutely no sense. So they really need to work on the hospitality part.

Room and bed were clean. Staff was kind and exceptionally accommodating for early check-in (an hour before scheduled time) as they had rooms already cleaned and ready. My only concern was in terms of the noise as the hotel is in an old building. Nonetheless, very nice location (12 min walk from Plaça Catalunya). Overall, good price vs quality ratio, especially for Barcelona.

This was our first time in Barcelona. The area was just outside of the Ramble. The room was very small for 4 people and one of the beds was crammed up against a wall so if you wanted to get out, you had to climb over the other person. The view was awesome and had our own little balcony. The staff was very nice and let us check in an hour early.

I would probably come back but do know that it is probable that the room you get is smaller and not as nice as the pictures.

Pleasant room, right for the price and in a great, safe location. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was in good shape when we arrived and cleaned each morning. I would have appreciated being told that the balcony had no view but it was nice to have the extra space anyway.
Only minor downside was the bathroom door, which doesn't completely shut the room off and is instead almost a frosted glass swing door... No other way I can think to descibe it. As this was a friends trip it was slightly uncomfortable but for the price we paid I don't have any real complaints!
The lift was a little small so if arriving with a lot of luggage it could be a bit of a pain, and unfortunately they don't have the space to hold luggage after check out, but the receptionist was able to direct me to what I believe to be their partner luggage storage, which had very cheap daily rates and was right by the centre.
Everyone we interacted with was very pleasent, friendly, and helpful. I would stay here again.

It was our first time in Barcelona. Even though we arrived a little early from our flight, the owner was able to arrange a room for us. The room was lovely, especially the balcony. The lift had a strange smell, but I am sure that can be easily fixed. There were numerous restaurant options within a two block radius and we really enjoyed our stay there.

We just stayed for one night as our plans had changed and we arrived one day earlier. For one day, the hotel is fine since the hotel is clean. But for longer stays, one may find the room to be very tight, especially if travelling with another person. One thing I wished someone would have written was that the entrance has an old fixed wooden door with the opening raised about a foot off the ground. As such, you have to lift heavy suitcases over it and then carry them up about 7-8 steps before reaching the elevator. For backpackers this is not a huge problem, but for families with big suitcases, it's not something I wanted to do after a long flight. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and helpful.

I was charged a unusually high rate for a hostel style room. Not even a bottle of water offered in the room. No place to unpack for the 3 of us. The staff were all very nice but a room like this should never ever be going for this rate. The photos are misleading. This was a very special occasion for my family and although rooms for 3 are hard to find they should never be allowed to charge so much for this type of hostel style place.
