After a 13 and 10 hour flight, a hot shower and clean bed was the best part of our travel. It was exceptionally convenient for the hotel to be in the airport. I wish more airports had a hotel like this. We stayed on our way to our destination and on the way home.

Checking in is a bit laborious but I suspect that's due to Qatari bureaucracy. The staff are great.

The gym is now open 24/7 so I went and shared it with just over other person at 2am. It's good for a hotel gym (10 resistance machines, some free weights, treadmills, towers, elipticals). I think I works have complained, though, if I had paid US$55 to use it without a hotel stay.

The rooms are really comfortable and the people are exceptionally nice. It is, though, very expensive!

If you have Dragon Pass or Priority Pass, you can use the lounge on the lower floor of the hotel rather than paying for room service

We stayed at the Oryx Airport Hotel in Doha during our 9-hour layover and had a very pleasant experience. Check-in was quick and effortless, which was especially appreciated after a long journey. The room was clean, spacious enough for us to relax comfortably, and well maintained. We also found the amenities to be more than sufficient for a short stay, making it easy to rest and refresh before our next flight. Overall, it was a convenient and comfortable option for a layover at Hamad International Airport.

Room and staff ok. Clean and everything worked. However this is a transit hotel where you are trying to get some sleep in between long international flights. The room noise insulation is terrible. Loud announcements could be heard from the airport until gone midnight. Then until about 2 in the morning a stream of arriving guests that showed no regard for the hour and talked loudly in the hotel corridors. Can’t blame the hotel for inconsiderate guests but room sound proofing is terrible considering this is a in terminal transit hotel . Got maybe 3 hours poor sleep until woken in the early morning. An expensive stay that was a complete waste of hard earned cash. Waste of good money.

Initially we thought that we were lucky to get two rooms with the view of the centre of the airport where a large yellow bear is located. Odd number rooms 181 and 183 facing the central giant bear.
Dozen of men kept playing tampourine regularly over night waking us up. I only got 2 hours sleep. Perhaps it would have been nice to see the show during the day.

Customer service terrible. Fine details about it being in the transit zone of the airport are not obvious. Checkin email provides details but they send it after the cancellation cut-off, then refuse to refund.

Hotel is well-appointed, staff were polite. Washcloths in the bathroom would be a nice touch, however, and one water bottle left for guests had already been opened. Not good. Others have commented on the lack of breakfast in a hotel of this price. Even breakfast vouchers at the food court would be appreciated. Harrods might like the business

A big concern was poor directions to the airport from plane arrivals. After 14 hour flights, you do not want confusion as to where you are going.
The hotel said \"To find us, after you have departed from the aircraft, follow signs for Transfer passengers. If arriving at C, D & E gates, take the train to gates A&B. ...\" Following Transfer leads to a security check site at some distance away. The train is actually near the baggage claim. The train is not marked for gate A&B, rather \"south terminal\" or somesuch. Once you get to the train's destination, you need to go through security to get to gates A & B. That was not mentioned. There is no other way to get to the hotel.

What I Liked About the Oryx Hotel

✔ Convenient location
Perfect for an overnight or long layover—being directly in or adjacent to the airport made it very easy to access without hassle.

✔ Quick check-in and courteous staff
The staff were polite, efficient, and helpful, making the arrival process smooth.

✔ Comfortable bed
The bed itself was comfortable enough for a short stay, allowing for decent rest despite travel fatigue.

✔ Quiet rooms
The room insulation was good, blocking out most airport noise and creating a calm environment, but could be better.

What I Didn’t Like About the Oryx Hotel

✘ Dated rooms and furnishings
The overall look and feel of the room was older and felt tired. Furnishings, carpet, and décor could benefit from a refresh.

✘ Cleanliness could be improved
Certain areas—corners, bathroom details, surfaces—felt less clean than expected for the price point.

✘ Bathroom issues
Showers or fixtures may feel worn, with inconsistent water pressure or temperature. Amenities were basic rather than premium.

✘ Limited food options
Btter and more dining options because what is there is minimal or not particularly appealing, especially for late arrivals or early departures.

✘ Rooms can feel a bit dated and bathroom,

✘ Pricing vs. value
For the cost, the overall experience didn’t always feel like a strong value—particularly given the dated interior and limited amenities.

Everything in Doha Qatar is first class. The staff at the hotel is professional, friendly, helpful and respectful towards their clients. A perfect stay for the tired traveler after a long-haul flight or between layovers. The staff work with your flight schedules. The room sparkled with cleanliness. The bed was super comfortable. The pillows are like sleeping on a cloud. The rooms are incredibly quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel when you are flying through Doha Qatar or on a stopover.

This hotel needs better costumer service for foreigners. We arrived at 10pm to be told we had to wait for our room to be cleaned and waited one hour. The receptionist was very unpolite and in progressional for my opinion. Not considering we just travel on Qatar airlines (Business class) and couldn’t have a room ready. According to them.

The check in was fast so was check out. The room is a good size. Not large, yet has enough space. The bed was so comfortable! The bathroom is very good. We had Ritual amenities along with extra last minute items. the pool was open until 2h along with the jacuzzi. On weekends it operates 24 hours. You will need a swimsuit. They offer a golf stimulator and squash ball. The best part is after your rest you have a 15 minute walk to your flight.

Convenience is the best feature of this hotel. Very helpful staff. I booked the wrong date (due to multiple flights and time zones confusion) and Nazmul was great changing our date to a day early, when we actually showed up. I was very grateful for that.
Tea/coffee area was on top of a mini fridge, and the outside fridge heat was heating up the milk/creamer on top, so I didn’t want to use it. It would be nice to have breakfast included in the price as it’s quite expensive, but I guess you pay for the convenience of not having to leave the airport.
The room is quite soundproof, in terms of not hearing the crowds (that you can see out the window) and the planes, but there were occasional random loud bumps and voices from the hallway.
Didn’t use the facilities, but had a look at the pool and the gym and it all seemed to be well equiped.
The room was clean, beds comfy and the shower was great. I was a bit cold in the room and couldn’t work out how to change the thermostat, or if it’s possible. A manual of some sort would be good. There is a wooden cube in the room, with QR codes on it for room service and some other things, but no user manual, which would be handy. You can call the service desk, and ask, I guess, but it would be more convenient if the room contained instructions.
All in all, it was easy and convenient and a positive experience, overall.

Expensive, but the best option inside the airport

The location of the hotel is ideal. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff are very polite and the hotel is run very efficiently. The cost of a stay is quite high, but a stay here is definitely better than staying in the nearby pod hotel. We will stay here again on future trips, but I feel that the business is price gouging customers who really have no other comparable alternative for an overnight layover at DOH.
