Room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfy and they provided plenty of pillows and blankets. The kitchen had all the tools you could need to store, cook, and eat full meals. There's shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided in the shower.
There's a small fitness center and a pool. Parts of the room and building could use small updates, but nothing was broken.
There's a charge for parking, but you can park for less at the garage on the next block or on the street, if you can find a spot.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Free breakfast was a nice bonus.
The area is nice. It's a semi-long walk to get to downtown businesses but you can catch the bus right out front if you want to.

They staff was amazing! I had to book another room coming from another hotel with the worst experience and the Hyatt Staff made sure we were taken care of from the start. They upgraded our room to make us feel more comfortable and even made a to-go breakfast bag for our girls. Which was very thoughtful since we had to leave before the breakfast area was opened. Will definitely stay there again. Thabk you again Hyatt for the amazing experience.

First off we were kindly received by Jeremiah at the front desk, he was very patience with us and he took the time to explain all that was included in out stay and he told us all about our rooms. I would like to greatly thank to Jeremiah he immediately reported us that we forgot important items at the lobby, please give this person a raise!

I want to express that the room was spotless, the breakfast spot on specially the potatoes, the coffee and the eggs. Never disappoints the time they have open the breakfast buffet!

We were also kindly supported when we requested to keep our rooms for a second night and this was done by: Christine and her manager (please forgive me I forgot the name of the manager).

It was a nice space for having a 10 year old and a 18 month old. The accommodations were wonderful, the place was clean and the small suite had everything we needed. Breakfast was ideal for the different energies in my family. Hahaha.

We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of our room. We have stayed many times at Hyatt houses in Hawaii in Anaheim and in Portland and Beaverton. This was our worst experience! Greasy handprints above the bed, dirty bathrooms with dirty, grout, mold, growing near the shower, grime on doors, ripped and shedding blinds, carpet frayed near door edges, bathroom door that wouldn’t stay closed, loud heating noises coming from the roof we assume? We are really disappointed because we are a huge Hyatt house fans and specifically choose it almost every time we go away. I hope something will be done to make this right.

Loved our stay here. We had two small kids and it worked well for us. We got a one bedroom suite and it came with a kitchenette including dishes & a dishwasher. It was so nice to have the option to make food in our room. Breakfast was good but the H Bar was closed during times it said it was open and that was a disappointment.

You can't beat the location! You're super close to lots of food/activities and right on the max line. We also loved the pool.

The hotel is perfect for those who are staying in Portland longer than a day and would like to have the option to stay in and cook. Rooms have a dining area and a fully furnished kitchen. The family wanted to stay in one night, cook and watch a movie…. After touring Portland and shopping the whole day.

Reception folks are helpful too. Jaden took leaps to find me a chopping board. Only to find out, there is actually one in our room.

Gym is the right size…. Pool is heated. And so we got our daily exercise in and enjoyed ourselves. Breakfast is available for guests. Pretty good buffet.

This could be my hotel for long stays in Portland.

I was pleased with the convenient location near the river but separate from downtown. The room was large & clean, with an excellent view. The kitchen had all the key utensils. The pool was warm and big enough to enjoy a daily swim. The breakfast, though generic, was all-you-can-eat and I'm glad it was offered. The staff was always courteous & helpful.

Wonderful stay! Booked 2 rooms for the in laws & ourselves. Had a family member at OHSU. Rooms were king bed suites with a little kitchenette. Staff was amazing, indoor pool was a hit for our son, continental breakfast was great! Lots of choices for food. I was really surprised. Parking the hotel only offers valet, but not even a block down is a parking garage that we used. (Height of parking garage ceiling is 6’5”). Easy walk to the water front with a few stores & restaurants. Great stay & will definitely stay here again!

Everything is max 10 min away from this property. ONLY DOWNFALL IS THEY DONT OFFER PARKING AT ALL. PARK DOWN THE STREET NOT AT U PARK PEOPLE BREAK INTO CARS THERE. CLOSE TO THE DOUGLAS ON THE LEFT SIDE IS A PARKING GARAGE THAT IS GREAT.

Our first room had some interesting stuff going on. Bed sheet was pulled back and ripped. We could see the mattress. Someone had been in the bathroom. They upgraded our room but the bathroom lights didn't work. After talking to the front desk, apparently there is a master switch in the kitchen area that had to be on for the bathroom lights to work. Ooook... The next morning as we left, there was a pile of dog puke in front of the elevator. Needless to say, even though the staff was great about trying to make things right, it's just not the sort of hotel we would visit again.

Everything was very nice. The only process that we'd love to see better refined is extending a stay and credit card authorization when a third party is paying for it without the credit card physically on site. That was the only wrinkle, which involved me having to physically come down, having to place a whole nother reservation, and redoing the card keys.

Note: I rented the room under my name, listing my daughter as the 2nd adult on the reservation, but because it was my card, she wasn't able to simply extend (booked through Expedia versus Hyatt direct, which may have made this element moot), I had to come to Hyatt and navigate the check out/check in on the new reservation. It would be lovely if policy would include sending the reserving party a credit card authorization form if they cannot be physically present - or simply to simplify the process.

Besides that, again, everything was lovely and this is a location that we will gladly return to.
