We had a wonderful stay. It was close to all the things you would want to be, staying downtown Toronto. Only issue we had was our window rattled non stop, so my husband had to find some paper to wedge in between it so we could sleep. Also a lot of hallway noise, more then a typical hotel. We were woken up multiple times throughout the night by others coming and going at all hours. Not ideal when travel with children like us, thankfully second night was there wasn't much.

Perfect location and excellent property when staying in downtown Toronto. Very short walking distance to the subway/public transit and tonnes of great restaurants and stores in the immediate vicinity. Rooms weren't overly spacious but it didn't matter to us, bed was very comfortable and room more than met our needs for our stay. I also have the mention the cleaning staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful! We will definitely book here again and if we do will certainly have to opt for the breakfast - which it seems many others had as it was quite busy every morning (the World Cup was going on so it was a sea of colorful jerseys). Lobby bar also looks very inviting and has some nice Happy Hour specials.

We stayed for one night and enjoyed the stay. The check in was fast and efficient, the room was comfortable and well sized. Check out was equally as easy, and we had no issues there. Clean place, although we didn’t use the pool or eat any food at the hotel so can’t say anything about that.

I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn on Carlton in Toronto. The room was very clean and well maintained, which made for a comfortable visit. The staff were especially helpful and friendly, always willing to assist with any questions or requests.

A fun highlight of the stay was the bar, which had special FIFA-themed drinks available. It was a nice touch that added to the atmosphere and made the experience more enjoyable. Overall, a pleasant stay with excellent service, clean accommodations, and some fun extras. I would happily stay here again.

When we arrived at the room we booked there was a very strong, very terrible odour that permeated it. We left for dinner, hoping it would fade on its own, but when we came back, the smell was still there, plus we found the carpeted floor was wet?

The receptionist was great and upgraded us to a room on a higher floor without carpets, and from there, we had a good experience. The location is very central and close to the subway, making it easy to access all areas of Toronto.

I'll also add that we stayed around the FIFA World Cup, so the prices were heavily inflated. It was definitely not worth what we paid for it per night, but I would happily stay here for $150-250 a night.

Not my best time at a Holiday Inn. Check in was quick and easy, parking was nice and accessible through the back entrance. Room was spacious and pretty clean. Sadly the hotel had a pipe burst resulting in the AC going down for the tower, in the late afternoon on plus 28 day in June. The team looked to be working very hard at it, but there was no communication from the hotel about a hopeful resolution or expected time frame, just sweaty stressed maintenance team getting in and out of the elevators with the sweaty guests, the rooms didn't get too terribly hot - but sleep was not as comfortable as it could have been. At check out not a word about the situation, and my folio was not ever presented.

We arrived at our room after checking in to find a bunch of industrial air dryers in the hallway and in a number of rooms near ours. I figured maybe the dryers would be turned off during the night. Nope. I contacted the front desk and then the night manager and there were no other rooms available. We were offered earplugs instead. The dryers ran non stop for the 2 nights we were there. Barely got a wink of sleep. When checking out I requested a refund because of the situation but we were only offered a refund for one night. The corporate policy we read stated that the hotel should reimburse us because they were responsible for the noise. Like I said we only got one night back. While I can appreciate that they had water issues in a number of rooms they should have at least stopped the jet engine noise overnight. It was our first and last time staying there.

The Hotel is old, very small and noisy, AC is not working well and made noisy, we could not sleep because the noise from Ac, you can hear water noise when next room take shower, the bathroom sink water does not drain quickly, brush teeth you have to wait for water to drain before you can wash face, we definitely will not stay in this hotel. location is ok, facing street, so very noisy from traffic and the bus tram even at night

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel upon arrival. I was informed that my room had a water leak and was unavailable. While I understand maintenance issues can happen. What was concerning the hotel continued to check in other guest while telling me they couldn't accommodate my reservation.

Instead of providing a comparable alternative. I was relocated to a much more lower quality budget hotel about 5 min away. It appeared this arrangement had already been. Prearranged, which makes question was the hotel aware of the issue well before my arrival.

I paid for a room at this hotel expecting a certain standard of service and accommodation, but was ultimately forced to stay somewhere significantly below that standard. Although the staff coverd the cost of the alternate hotel. It did not make up for the inconvenience, disappointment and down grade quality.

I would not stay here again and would advise future guest to be cautious, especially traveling from out of town and relying on a confirmed reservation.

This is worst Holiday Inn/ IGH property we have ever stayed in. The parking garage had the most horrific smell of sewer, and the room was not cleaned so they tried to spray something to mask the smell but it was the equivalent smelling a barbershop/axe body spray on your sheets. Nightstand was sticky and the curtains had black around the edges. The hallway floors were the dirtiest thing we’d witnessed in all of Toronto. We’ve never had a bad IGH property in all our travels but this location makes me rethink sticking to the brand. Avoid!

Staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast buffet was decent. Overall, a great affordable hotel in a very convenient location.
It's a large hotel so the elavator sometimes takes a while, but that is not the fault of the hotel. Just part of staying in a large highrise hotel in a big city.

Staff were all super helpful and nice. Breakfast at the restaurant is AMAZING, and kids eat for free! Rooms are small, but well maintained, and the ladies who looked after our floor tidied them up every morning. The hotel is pretty conveniently located with quick subway access. Would stay here again.

A/C was down for 21 hours in 37 degree heat. The front desk kept telling us someone was on their way up but nobody came until several requests and 21 hours later. Maintenance had it back on with in minutes. Frustrating to pay $2000 to say at a hotel that brushes you off

Over all Solid. Very good value for Money.

Staff were polite and responsive. Rooms was small but clean. All basics covered. If looking for a clean, reasonably priced and central "hub" to stay out of I highly recommend. If you are going to be using it as anything more than a place to sleep (and quick drink in lobby etc) you may want more (but you'll pay more).

Stayed 2 nights and paid a very high price per night and complained multiple times to the staff about the AC not working. First afternoon was moved to another room and same problem. For the price they are charging we expect the room to function properly. After the second complaint and offered another room, no further resolution was offered regarding the room being too hot. Checked out today June 13, 2026 and I see some other recent reviews experiencing the same issues we did. They should be offering some partial refunds.

A special shoutout to Scott for his patience and professionalism during the check-in process. He was welcoming, attentive, and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. His hospitality truly stood out and helped create a positive first impression.

Overall, the stay was comfortable and relaxing, and I felt genuinely welcomed by the staff throughout my visit. The property provided a pleasant atmosphere that made for an enjoyable stay.

My only criticism would be the pricing. While the experience was good, I felt the cost was somewhat high relative to the amenities and overall value offered. That said, I would certainly consider staying here again, especially if the pricing better reflected what was included with the stay.

The hotel is very well located, the staff are friendly and attentive, everything is clean, breakfast is good, and the parking is right under the building (although the directions they give for how to access it make it sound like it is up a block). The off-putting part is that the rooms are extremely small. There is not even enough space to roll a suitcase into your room, and the ceilings are low. The impression is that the company tried to squeeze as many rooms into the building as it possibly could. Quite frankly it was somewhat claustrophobic. It is also a very busy hotel with only a couple of elevators which means that you wait quite some time everytime you need to take it.

Just be aware when using the electrical coffee maker in your room, not to use the plastic cup; the machine won't do anything until you place the organic paper cup 😅 I made that mistake by just wanting to reheat some water to pour on my instant mashed potatoes cup I had to eat for a late arrival. I called the reception and they were very helpful and were going to replace it, until they figured what the issue was 😅 They also informed me there's a microwave on the 3rd floor. Thanks

Go next door to Loblaws for your meals because the price for the quality at this hotel really doesn't add up. $30 for a mediocre buffet breakfast?! Nope! Will never do that again. But the beds were comfortable. Room was noisy with lots of sirens outside all night.

Great location with lots of restaurants and things to do nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

We had an issue with the thermostat as the room stayed at 74°F and we couldn’t get it any cooler. Maintenance came by and explained that this is their usual temperature setting, but they were kind enough to look for another room for us. They did find one, but since I was out all day and leaving the next morning, I didn’t bother moving.

We stayed in a room with two double beds. The beds were very comfortable, but the room was quite small. There was only enough space to open one suitcase at a time, and the bathroom was pretty tight as well. I’m only 5 feet tall and found it a bit cramped, so taller guests might notice it even more.

Overall, a good stay thanks to the great location, comfortable beds, and helpful staff.

The night staff was so rude. There was no coffee in the lobby. They stood there while guests were filling their plastic water bottles with the lemon water and putting the top of the bottle where their mouth was on the tap and did nothing. Yuck completely unsanitary. The gate exiting parking was broken. One of the elevators was broken. My search said breakfast included. Nope. The breakfast is 24.00 and doesnt start until 6:30 which by the way is where you can get coffee. So I hope you dont go to work early because the coffee is not available except the dirty horrible coffee in your room. The pool was disgusting. Dirty floor, bandaid floating in the filthy water along the side of the pool. The deck had signage that it was under construction. All that for 300.00 a night. Crummy service, over priced, no coffee.
