We arived and saw we had a larger fridge so went to go get groceries for our trip came back to the room to find the fridge door wouldnt close and the floor was soaked.. they tried to make it better but all that was on hand was a 1cbft fridge like In the normal rooms .. they placed us in a different room the next day but it was on the construction floor where major renos were going on .. room was good if yiu can look past the construction... breakfast buffet was fabulous and staff went up and above to help you out highly recommend just bad timming on our trip this stay

The lobby area, restaurant, pool and our room were all clean however we were there for three days and the hallways carpets were never vacuumed and clearly needed to be. The hallway walls also appeared to have either water damage or badly patched holes. The staff at check in and in the restaurant were exceptional though.

We had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and honestly much better than we expected for a 3-star hotel. The rooms and common areas were well maintained, and everything felt fresh and welcoming.

The location is excellent and made it very easy for us to get around Toronto and visit different attractions. The staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even better.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Toronto looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay.

The best part about this hotel is it is located right at the heart of downtown and a few steps away from the subway station. The rooms are a bit cramped but real estate space must be a luxury in this part of Toronto. The breakfast is great and the staff are friendly.

Deliciously prepared, good size portions, and reasonably priced. Similarly the breakfast included was excellent. Anything you could want was on the buffet. Overall, a great location and a great day.

Breakfast was delicious, lots of options. Staff was amazing, subway and tim hortons ( both of which i required), were just down the street, as were a grocery store and food options. I would recommend this hotel. Also has a spa on site and day trips to niagra falls available!

It was the cheaper option for our stay, the hotel was \"Ok\". It is a big hotel, at peak check in times the queues are long, same for getting on the elevator.

I stayed here 2 weekends ago and had a very disappointing experience.

After checking in, we went out for dinner and returned around 10:00 PM only to find there was no running water in the room. The front desk said the water would be off until 5:00 AM and that bottled water would be brought up right away. After waiting 30 minutes, I called again and was told someone was on the way. Another 30 minutes passed (now midnight) and nothing arrived, so we went to bed assuming it would be left outside the door.

The next morning at 7:00 AM, there was still no bottled water and no running water. I called again and was told water would be back on shortly. Since we had to leave just after 8:00 AM, we waited hoping to shower. The water finally turned on around 7:40 AM, but it was freezing cold and never warmed up, forcing us to leave without showering, which is unacceptable from a basic hygiene standpoint.

When checking out, I explained everything and was told I’d be refunded $20 for parking as compensation. That credit never appeared. I called days later and was told it would be fixed — it’s now almost two weeks later, I still haven’t received the refund, and the hotel no longer answers the phone.

While maintenance issues can happen, the lack of communication, follow through, and resolution was extremely frustrating. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel.

The room was small but clean and fine for what we needed. There is a lot of street noise ie sirens and car radios but earplugs helped. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We were referred to Thirty for dinner when we checked and it turned out to be excellent, again small but the staff were great and the meal was surprisingly good. Breakfast buffet was pretty good and had a good variety of hot and cold food. I especially appreciated the lactose free yogurt. All in all a good stay and we will return when we are back in the city.

The hotel lobby really nice not sure about breakfast I didnt get any. Staff was extremely nice. The room was just extremely hot. I turned the fan on and still hot there wasnt an AC option & the vent was small. You need your key everytime you use the elevators which was annoying & the parking spaces just sucked. You have to constantly have someone buzz you into the parking garage. Worst part its in the back of the building. It was very close to the Venue I attented and had a few things near by but I prob wouldnt book this one again.

The hotel staff was friendly, and the breakfast options were exceptional. But I left very frustrated overall and it was not worth the cost. The parking garage wasn’t working when we arrived, which incurred extra fees. The elevators were painfully slow, often leading to 10 minute waits. The room itself was very tiny, making it difficult to manage with 2 adults and 2 young children. Our window was closed off due to construction equipment blocking any view. Then were the neighbours. Due to the poor sealing around the main door, you could hear everyone and everything in the hall; from screaming kids to the party groups. Overall, a very suboptimal stay.

The staff asked us to return after an hour to check in to avoid additional $50. We came back after an hour and spoke to a different staff. The staff was pouting and told us to come back again after an hour! We told he the conversation we had earlier and she decided to then help us check in when we told her that…still pouting, not accommodating and told us that they might not have a room clean for us but he handed us the keycard anyways after checking us in.

Clean. Amazing location. I stay at Holiday Inn’s frequently and this breakfast was the same as a regular Holiday Inn but they made you pay for it. When I checked in, I had some perks from hotels.com with a reduced parking rate and a free breakfast but when I checked in, they didn’t really mention it. I prefer when they confirm the perks right away and apply everything so you know what’s going on and you don’t have to ask about it.

Very convenient location in a busy area near Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). It is right downtown, so even though there is visible homelessness, there is also ton of people and students in the area. Great small restaurants all around the area and included breakfast at hotel was great -friendly servers. No stopping place to drop off luggage for check in was the most stressful thing about the location - except in the coach bus area. Rooms are small but bathrooms were recently renovated. Gently closing hotel doors is great - so no banging doors.

My room was clean but small. The problem was that there was no water in the hotel due to a planned water outage...why were guests not notified? Because of this you could not shower, have a drink at the bar etc. etc. When it came back it was cold of course as it had to heat up.
The breakfast was expensive for what you received...it was just an ordinary buffet that you can get in most other hotels for free. $40.00 a night for parking is absurd!!
If the property knew they were going to have a bunch of disgruntled guests why was there no manager on the property??? Just a poorly run hotel.

My family and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express during our recent trip to Toronto. First off, the good points. The breakfast that was included with our reservation (through Expedia) was phenomenal. Usually, continental breakfasts are decent at best, but this was more of a buffet / restaurant style with waitstaff. And there was a huge variety of breakfast foods to choose from. Also, there were security measures in place where you had to use your key card to enter the stairwell, pool area / gym and access the lobby bathrooms and choose a floor in the elevator. We didn't have much interaction with the staff, except for the front desk, and they were very helpful.
The downside - lots of construction in and outside of the building. Of course I understand that upgrades need to take place but 1) we never saw anyone working on these projects 2) they looked more like \"abandoned jobs\" and 3) they were very unappealing and in some cases a pain the butt. Also, our room had to be the absolute smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. It was almost claustrophobia inducing. Honestly, there was hardly any space to navigate the room. Even our eight-year-old, who is very tiny, had to love the desk chair out of the way to get on the other side of the bed. There was only a few feet from the end of the bed to the opposite wall. There were no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels, no vent and very little counter space. For that reason alone, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.

Bar selection was very limited. Bar staff was not welcoming at all. Elevators are slow and constantly packed stopping on every floor. Restaurant food was frozen Tyson nuggets.
Rooms were dirty. First room looked like a ran down motel, stains on the walls, shower curtains, bedding, just everywhere. Also had an old rug smell to it.
We were moved to a second room and given a voucher for $80 to have dinner. While the voucher was appreciated, the rooms were still below standard/ expectations. I will not be staying at another Holiday Inn as I feel the reputation has declined alongside service and hospitality. Everything felt cheap

Yesterday from 9 pm to this morning 9 am there was no water in the room. This means no shower, no brushing teeth and no flashing the toilet . When the water was back this morning , it was impossible to take a shower because not even warmth water. I checked out not being able to shower. I have a long international flight today before reaching my final destination and be able to wash. This has never happened to me . I travel a lot and work in LDC countries. Hotel staff were not honest enough to tell me last night that the water won’t be available until the next morning . This morning none of then mentioned that warm and hot water will be available only after few hours. I request a reimbursement for the night .

The staff were friendly and helpful. But I was in the Accessible room as I am handicapped and use a wheeled device.

Big picture: the bathroom was too small. I had to wheel into the shower in order to close the door. Then I had to wheel out to get to the small sink that was behind the door. Way too small!. The room was too narrow and only had room for an end table on one side of the bed. I could barely role in beside the bed in order to transfer.

There was no built-in seat in the shower. Nor was there a portable seat in the narrow shower stall. I had to ask for one, but I had to explain the requirement multiple times to to the housekeeping rep as he didn't know what I was talking about. He finally brought me a plastic seat that sufficed for our one night stay. There should have been a seat in the shower stall beforehand. I guess they presumed that I would just wheel into the shower and then shower while sitting in my wheelchair!?!

When designing an accssble room, get advice from a handicapped person, not an architect!

Everything was good except when considering parking. I'm accustomed to a parking lot or garage but this parking garage was full when I checked in. My car would not have fit anyway (I drive a pickup truck) as the max height allowance is 5' 7\" and my truck needs 6' 6\" clearance.
There was an overflow that accommodated my truck but there is no access to the garage from inside the hotel. It wasn't a terrible outcome but it would have been better had I known ahead of time during booking. Hot breakfast was included in my booking and it was excellent. Staff were very helpful despite the difficulties and limitations.

Meryam at the front desk was lovely. Check in was crazy busy, as there was a volleyball tournament in town and she made it a good experience. The room was fine. Nothing amazing super wow, but clean and comfortable.

The staff, overall, was great.

However, the breakfast was disgusting. Cold, dry, like everything had been sitting out since yesterday. And the fruit was sitting in platters with the utensils just in them, or with the handle on the side, so they kept FALLING IN and people would put their hands IN THE FRUIT to take them out. No way that would pass an inspection. I spoke to the woman in the restaurant, and she just changed the whole platter, putting the utensils back in the same place. So, clearly she didn't get what I was trying to say. I did not eat after seeing this.

Another issue was that a (tiny, because the is Canada) double brandy cost me $70 including tip, which I didn't realize until after the fact. That's on me. I know. For not checking. But still. Whoa.

Anyway, shout out to Meryam but AVOID THE BREAKFAST AT ALL COSTS.

Generally a decent hotel. Room was clean, but obviously high turnover. My biggest complaints were that the window was absolutely tiny and in between two buildings where you couldn't see anything other than the concrete walls of the other buildings. it was way too hot in the common areas of the hotel and even in my room, and there was no AC option, only heat.

The gates for their parking garage were broken, which made it a bit of a pain because you had to call to get in and out every time. That was being fixed, so it shouldn't be a concern for future travelers.

Parking entrance is behind the building, look for hotel parking only signs, there are other public parking garages. I went into the wrong one first. Breakfast is decent continental.

While I did not use the pool nor the gym, it was available. The location is really what makes the stay. the pillows are great. they give you soft and firm options. overall, comfy spacious room. i had free breakfast every morning but the breakfast isnt great. if you dont have to pay for it, dont. lots of close by, walkable restaurants/options. they even allowed early check in when we arrived at 1pm. also the dove bathroom products smell very good.
