We had a one night stay at Pembroke Arms. There is no lift and we were put on the top floor - lots of stairs. This is an old building with lovely features including air conditioning which was great as the weather was very warm. Staff were friendly and efficient.

The communal areas are delightful...wood panelled rooms, squashy sofas and a huge open fire. The room was small but was advertised as such and was fine for just the 1 night. Very comfortable bed with lovely white crisp linen. The welcome brownies were also lovely. The room was only lit by lamps, so the lighting was very low that meant I was unable to read in the room. Breakfast was good. The customer service was efficient but lacked warmth...the bar staff/ waiters were fine but didn't smile or seem particularly concerned as to whether you were having a good time or not. Saying that I'd probably stay there again.

Hotel was an old world coaching inn with lots of stairs, loads of character and large rooms. Decor in keeping. Variety of different eateries and food style on the premises. Ample breakfast with plenty of choice. Room was cleaned daily with fresh milk and cookies replenished daily too. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location allowed easy access to Salisbury by bus.

Pembroke Pines was fantastic! Not only was it a charming and furnished country inn, with a few fireplaces, it has a fantastic restaurant. We had one of our best meals of our trip. The staff was very helpful and totally British! Would highly recommend Pembroke Arms.

The staff was exceptional. The food was a great suprise, we dined for dinner and were treated to the most luxurious breakfast. There is no elevator as this is an old charming building, this could be tough for some people to navigate but the room was well worth the short hike. I highly recommend you relax in their tub and soak away the traveling pains in the tub in your bathroom.

Lovely, comfortable room which had lots of extras including fresh, ground coffee, beautiful toiletries and bottled water. The brownies and fresh milk that were given to me when I checked in were also a thoughtful touch (I hate those little cartons of milk!). Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasted great. The bed was really comfortable and blackout curtains ensured I had a great night’s sleep. The key ring was definitely quirky!!

We travel throughout the year and The Pembroke Arms is without doubt one of our favourite hotels. So often the staff in hotels imagine just because the accommodation is attractive there is not the necessity to actually be hospitable. This is certainly not the case at The Pembroke, the staff make what might be an enjoyable stay into something really special occasion.

A lovely stay at the Pembroke Arms. There was plenty of free parking to the rear of the Inn. Reception was efficient and friendly. Our room - two double beds so for four people - was large and comfortable with lovely touches like TeaPig teas and ground coffee. The room itself was quite cold but reception turned the heating up for us and it was a really cold day so no complaints.
We ate in the hotel that evening - a really nice restaurant and delicious (massive) pies.
Breakfast was one of the best I've had - fresh fruit and granola followed by a scrummy full English.
Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon - thank you.

If you are going to Wilton House, it is an ideal location (in fact, there are no alternatives in Wilton, unless you come from locations outside Wilton). That being said, it is a pub, but a very attractive pub. Particularly since they have taken great steps post - Covid to move the pub experience outdoors, using tents, fire pits, etc. to put the catering experience outside. You still get breakfast inside (and, incidentally, it is a substantial breakfast) , but everything else is in the tents and gardens around the property. Unexpected, but the food/service is good, and they are obviously attracting a substantial local clientele as well as the pub dwellers. And the rooms are comfortable, although there are some quirks. And they have done a fabulous job in sounding proofing the bedrooms/breakfast room/building generally against the significant outside traffic noise.
It's unique but I would have no problem directing anyone going to Wilton, or indeed anywhere in the Salisbury area, using this as their base.
But BTW, if you want an alternative lunch location, try the Ship Inn, in Burcombe, just down the road from Wilton. Just re-opened and really worth a visit/detour. Watch for the signs on the roadf because otherwise you will miss it.

Really pretty looking hotel. Lovely area to sit outside had a fab pizza and salad from Noles, which is onsite. Lots of parking. Staff all really friendly and helpful. We had a very small room as we were only staying one night but lovely and clean and the bed was comfy.

We booked this hotel just minutes before we arrived and they had received our booking and were ready for us. Alex welcomed us, gave us our key and gave us a quick introduction to the hotel.
Our room was very nice, bed was super comfortable and the ensuite was well appointed. One of my pet hates are those showers with the little electric water heaters where you have to press a button and run around under the tiny stream of luke warm water trying to get wet!!
This shower had mains pressure water!! Sooooo good.
I'll write a separate review of the restaurant - but have to say......if you're staying here , you must try the home made pies: They are to die for!! In fact, I'd recommend you stay here if you're anywhere near Salisbury or Stonehenge.
