They are always accommodating. I am disabled and require special attention. I don't want to even have to consider another spot. Staff are excellent, very friendly.

We really loved our stay at this hotel. Right from check in to check out the staff were so accommodating and efficient. They offered free parking and late checkout as part of our VIP booking with Expedia and even extended our parking until later on the checkout date, so we could visit my dad at Toronto General Hospital. Outstanding!!! Thank you for everything and we will see you again for sure. Shout out to Jin!!! Be well!

I did not like breakfast at all. For family with 2 kids the breakfast are not good enough. I was expecting something like table from I can pick up what I would like to eat... to have different possibilities what to drink (coffee, milk, tea,...).
What did I not like was that it was quite loud on the hotel other quests were noisy during night

The hotel was in an excellent location. If you are looking for something in the middle of downtown this should be an option for you. Rooms are small but comfortable. Our first room was at the front and we asked to move because of the traffic noise. Back of hotel or higher floor much quieter. Staff were very good - pleasant and efficient.

A very positive firs time visit to the Saint James

Hotel was a very nice discovery. I arrived earlier than standard check in time but reception kindly gave me a room right away which was greatly appreciated as I had to get to an appointment and needed to freshen up. I requested a 45 minute delay in checkout time so I could get to a luncheon engagement which was happily accommodated. Overall a very pleasant stay with very nice front desk staff.

This is a small 38 room boutique hotel right in the heart of Toronto. Just 1/2 a block from Yonge St. it is within walking distance of the Eaton Centre and many restaurants. I was just gobsmacked when I entered my room. It was HUGE! the bedroom itself was larger than my master bedroom at home and the bathroom was larger than my guest bedroom! The bathroom was nicely appointed with a large shower and a free standing bathtub. The room itself had a king sized bed, small cube refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, and microwave oven. Other amenities included hair dryer, steam iron and ironing board as well as bathrobes and slippers. The few things I could nitpick about are that beside the office chair for the desk, there was nowhere else to sit. The room certainly large enough to accommodate a sofa and chair. The bed itself was comfortable but the sheets felt overly starched and stiff. The refrigerator was positioned in such a way that the edge of the door would hit the hinge of the bathroom door when you opened it. I found this out the hard way when closing the door! Breakfast was included with the room and was provided by Freshii, a chain restaurant you would find in many food courts in the city. They offer \"healthy options\" such as wraps and bowls and smoothies with ingredients including kale, quinoa, and avocado. Would have been nice just to get a bagel or croissant. The place was kept immaculately clean and was very quiet. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

This is now the hotel I choose to stay when I'm in Toronto. Their rooms are neat, equipped with bathrobes, slippers etc. It is a smaller hotel and allowed me to feel at home.The best part was the complimentary breakfast at Freshii which is in the hotel. They had a number of options, all healthy and delicious. Will definitely be back at the St-James Hotel.

Two nights. First night the heater didn’t work. It was winter. They moved us from room 401 to 501. Second night heater stopped working too. At 1am they gave us a space heater. In the middle of the night the circuit breaker blew. Woke up freezing. Will not stay in this hotel again despite the price. Front desk staff were friendly and location was convenient though

Great Hotel

I had a lovely stay at the St. James Hotel. We arrived a couple hours before check in but since there was a clean room available we were allowed to check in early. I arrived on my birthday and they very sweetly placed a birthday card and delicious box of chocolates in my room! Our room and the overall hotel was clean, service was good and the complementary freshii breakfast was great (except for the Cali bowl...I personally didn’t like it and thought it was runny and lacked flavor). The location was great as well, because it was so close to the city center we were able to walk virtually everywhere we wanted to go. It was also conveniently close to a subway station (Yonge/Dundas) when we had a slightly longer commute or needed a little shelter from the cold or rain. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to others.

The Saint James: Comfortable and Convenient

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at The Saint James. It is close to the subway, along with fun neighborhoods in downtown Toronto.

The hotel is in a great location near 2 subway stops and lots of great restaurants. The parking is a little confusing as the parking is underground and located under the office building next door. It is secure, but hard to find. It was so easy to get around on the subway and buses we didn’t really need our car. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good for a snack, but not very filling. The staff was very friendly and even called around to help us find a place to watch a football game we were interested in. Great place to stay!

Nice little hotel right in the middle of downtown Toronto. Very convenient location to all the shops and restaurants downtown, and nearby transit stations. Our room was super spacious and lovely, and I have to say, the shower was incredible. For that shower alone, I'd stay here at every possible chance. Breakfast choices are a bit limited but the food itself is quite good. Parking is not free unfortunately, but the hotel offers parking at the garage next door for a pretty good price. All in all, definitely recommend staying here while in Toronto.

Room was very nice, but the view was meh. The hotel was difficult to find for me, with busy rush hour traffic, but after circling the block a couple of times, I found it, then had to drive to an underground parking lot which was not included In The price of the hotel. Other than these issues, nice central location. 45 min walk to CN tower. 10 min walk to Eaton centre. I was able to leave my car the entire next day which was nice.
Breakfast was excellent, and bed was super comfie.
I would stay there again

Great value in a good area

Excellent facilities in the room - 2 large comfy beds and 4 lovely squishy pillows per bed. Extras including coffee machine and microwave. The best shower I think I have ever encountered. All spotlessly clean.
Convenient location- do take a walk into Cabbage Town, about half a mile along the street - really eclectic housing and interesting area.

Hotel is a ten minute walk from Dundas Station and busy Eaton Centre a very busy area, so no shortages of shopping and places to eat. We were welcomed with a little gift bag a nice touch. Public transport is everywhere and very efficient to get around. Hotel is just out of all the noise so is nice to come back to after a full day of sightseeing. We had room 404 at the front of the building it was very spacious, big comfy bed, nice big shower. The only thing was it said we had breakfast included, so when we went down to have our breakfast it was a small shop within the hotel and we were told we could have an egg dish which was in a pocket bread or a yoghurt and fruit. This does not equate to breakfast a bit of a let down. Coffee machine in lobby was handy

Room was huge, with a comfortable seating area and a big bed. So plenty of room to chill out at the end of our 3 week trip. Very busy area and convenient for College subway stop.
The incuded breakfast is from a food outlet, part of a chain. The breakfast items are maybe not to everyone's taste.

Everything looked rather cleanly however I did realize I had been bitten by something while sleeping the first night of our stay, I did not say anything to staff since it is a smaller property and did not think another room would be an option. It wasn't until I arrived at home that I realized I was actually bitten on both legs and am hoping it was just a spider and not bed bugs :(

Lovely dog friendly hotel!

Loved the hotel. The room was super spacious and the bed extra comfy. It was so nice to be able to take our puppy with us too. The hotel is next to the Ryerson campus which has beautiful gardens and parks. Breakfast was simple but tasty. I would recommend that hotel to anyone, especially animal lovers!

Nice place with good sized rooms and very comfortable. However the breakfast place needs more people working there and there was always a wait for the coffee. That silly machine that slowly grinds out one cup at a time should be replaced with a coffee pot or urn that is quick and easy.

From the time we checked in we felt welcome, comfortable and happy with the whole experience. We stayed for three nights and didn’t want to leave. The decor and style of our room was lovely, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. This hotel is right downtown near both College and Dundas subway stations, and it is very easy to get around. For the price and area it was a fantastic as well. A not-so hidden gem! We will definitely be staying here again, thanks for a great vacation!

St James is in a good spot just off Yonge so easy to get around. About a half hour leisurely walk to places like CN Tower, Ripleys and the waterfront. Our first room had a plumbing problem and we were moved to a 2nd room unfortunately the 2nd room although larger wasn’t as nice as the first on our last day a different guy on reception said the first room issue could have been fixed without us having to move which was very disappointing to hear obviously too late to move back. Most of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast at the in hotel Freshii was a plus. Rooms quite dark in the evenings ceiling lights only in the door area I moved a lamp to give more light in the room but it was moved back by housekeeping.
