Hotel room was clean and had all the amenities needed. Booked the privilege room expecting service to be better, but ran into multiple problems over the course of the stay that the hotel staff were able to work with me on.

Just know...
1. There is a rental car site on property, but hours aren't consistent.
2. Cabs can only be requested through concierge from hotel to destination. Then, it's up to you find your own way back.
3. Reservations are 100% necessary and some restaurants are overbooked.
4. Upon check-in, you can start your dining package right away.
5. Luggage assistance is only available at check-in and then you have to carry your own luggage back to reception to check out.

I cannot fault the hotel in any way. My girlfriend and I had the most amazing experience. The greeting we received from the staff when we arrived, to the spotless room. The restaurant el Vulcan was amazing!
We visited the spa also, another fantastic experience.
Thank you to all the staff for an amazing hospitality- it was second to none.
We will definitely be back

I booked this hotel, after reading the reviews on Expedia!. This place truly is a gem - for sure, this is a palace - the hotel expands over a very large area on Playa Blanca, Lanzarote!. Staff are very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. When booking, you have various options on the kind of stay you would like - if you prefer not to venture out, and stay at this 'palace' for your holiday, then All Inclusive (with extra Privilege) option is the one I would recommended (Which I purchased). The 'Privilege' option provides personnel service on breakfast/lunch and dinner, across a number of different themed restaurants...dependent on the number of days you stay, also will include access to the spa area (and what a lovely spa H10 has!). Would I come back - for sure - I stayed in Dec 2025, and the daylight hours, similar ish to UK, H10 is blessed, in that the sun will stay across the sea/ocean(there is no real beach) front, during the month of Dec, and also the sun sets to the side of the hotel, around 6 pm (same time zone as UK) - well worth a watch, when you are situated in this hotels Piano bar (main bar) area, which is at least 3 floors up.

Zimmer sehr gut, Personal sehr freundlich. Schöner pool, gepflegte Anlage. Sehr reichhaltiges Essensangebot, Frühstück sehr gut, große Auswahl auch beim Abendessen, geschmacklich eher durchschnittlich.
Im großen Speisesaal ist es extrem laut - es gibt ein paar Ausweichmöglichkeiten.
Die Anlage ist riesig, entsprechend viele Gäste. Allerdings dafür erstaunlich ruhig. Wer sowas mag ist dort gut aufgehoben, ich bevorzuge etwas kleinere Unterkünfte.

Fantastic hotel and service. Visiting with our daughter this time, the staff went out of their way to help us. The facilities were great. Only negative was the policy that you can’t take drinks up to your room. With a baby going down early, we were cheap all inclusive guests but would have loved to pop down to the bar and bring a drink back for the evening.

The hotel was very beautiful. Worth to update to the superior room. We had the most amazing view. The only criticism is that during meals, lunch and dinner, the drinks take a bit too long to come. Sometimes you wait for the entirety of your meal. Everything else was perfect.

We stayed for a week and upgraded to privilege (which i would recommend) the majority of staff were fantastic and very helpful. Food was very good with plenty of choice for an all inclusive. The problem we did have was booking specialty restaurants and the choice wasn't great. They book up very quickly. But both the steak and Italian were good. Sports bar was limited opening hours, which was disappointing when there was football on.

On another positive the manager of the vulcan was superb and very friendly. Bruno in the piano bar was also excellent. Very attentive. I would definitely recommend but only with privilege

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. However what the “Hotel / Resort” has to offer was not what we expected. Food available was terrible, forget about trying to book a dinner reservation as it’s fully booked by the time you get there, but trust me you’re not missing anything great! The bar, prepares horrible drinks, they should invest in getting their entire bar staff trained to make ANY drink the guest requests. As we asks for drinks that were not part of their menu and they said NO we are unable to prepare them. We are very thankful we only did “half board”.

The air conditioning in the rooms was deplorable as well. Rooms were hot to be able to sleep comfortably. I was glad to have brought portable fans as we had to use them at night in order to sleep ok. Pool area, was a turn off as well. They don’t have enough loungers for everyone. You have to be up super early to go and grab one otherwise you’re out of luck. No live music during the day to get a nice pool atmosphere, nothing.

Overall this is more like a 2 start facility. I’ll be polite about the rating. I will not be a returning guest.

Amazing family stay. Entertainment for kids and adults was on throughout the day and night. Staff were friendly. Food options included plenty of variety. Lots of different pools, only point would be to request that an additional pool is heated during winter months as the bigger ones weren’t used a much. Spa was lovely, games rooms kept the children busy. Room was as you’d expect, a little extra wardrobe space would be good. Quiet spot location wise, roughly 30 min walk (enjoyable along the coastal path) to the sandy beach and shops at a slowish pace. Would highly recommend as a Christmas / New Years break

The arrival and check in wasn't great but when I pointed this out to the Guest Services they were very very good at recovering the situation. Other than that the stay was what you would expect from a good quality hotel chain. The restaurants were very good but beware, the pool isn't heated so a bit chilly in December

We have stayed at a H10 hotel before and really liked so it was a no brainer. This hotel kept up the excellent experience and did not disappoint at all - it was a super nice, comfortable, chilled, always with good service/friendly staff. Depending on your point of view it's a little out of the way but there was local transport. We did not use as we hired a car.

Very average definitely not a five star hotel- our door to the room was broken for the entire stay and despite
Repeated Phone calls nothing was fixed. Just lots of trips to the room by staff - lifts are too slow to use and the hotel is full of stairs and steps so it’s a terrible hotel for anyone with mobility issues - the food is average at best and the entertainment is awful.

The food options were not as expected. The staff were very quick to clear up and not a good experience.
We had to inform reception to ensure the minibar was stocked, this should have been done and checked prior to stating the room is ready.
The voucher we were given for the Bottle of Chava, we had to ask the Restaurant (El Valcano) twice to provide a bottle. Not a good experience.
Service in the Piano bar was very poor. And not enough staff. Had to wait over 40mins to be served.
As privilege customer the self service area provided was not a privilege, this area was not worth the extra cost we had paid.
On the positive, the Sakura restuarant was very good.

The hotel welcome was a lovely touch with complimentary access to some of the amenities which was nice.
The sea front location and hotel grounds were amazing with enough pools and sun loungers which was good and avoided the rush of people running to reserve them like to see in other hotels, plenty activities to do around the hotel.
All in all, had a really good holiday, the only point which need improving is on the food, although good a varied with plenty options, it was not always seasoned and got repetitive.

The grounds were beautiful however needed a lot of repairs as it looked quite dated. Our rooms were 'cleaned' on a daily basis but there was always still dirt on the floor that hadn't been swept. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable and the kids pool was so cold that you didn't want to get into it. The buffet food was good and a large variety but the staff were rude and it is almost impossible to get anyone to take your drinks order! There was a larger pool which was heated however all the main pools are salt water so not great for the kids! Very family orientated which suited us however all the information is on the app which is hard to navigate so maybe entertainment could be featured more clearly around the hotel.

Not a good start - hotel did not have reservation (made via hotels.com app an hour earlier - asked me to wait in the lobby till the reservation came thru (yes - because that's the way computers work!). After 20 mins or so they admitted they had the confirmation but not the booking and would have to enter that \"manually\" - which then took them about another 20 mins - literally 10 times longer than it took me to make the reservation myself.
Room was nice and comfortable - decent aircon - wifi was OK - room safe not working.
Breakfast buffet was excellent - with the exception of the orange juice (In Spain?)
Pools were nice and relaxing
Didn't use restaurants - they seem to go out of their way to make it difficult unless you are on one of their meal plans - and none looked especially interesting - but plenty of good choices outside.
Will quite happily stay there again - though stay was a little bit overpriced.

Been to the hotel before and its still the same. Coffee shop amazing as per usual, them frappes are the best. Although i do think opening earlier in the morning would be better.
Buffet restaurant 😋 yum. Them restaurants you book i dont think the food is that great but definitely edible.

Great hotel complex. Room was spacious and comfortable. Great choice of pools. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good choice of food in buffet restaurant with great breakfast choice.
Lunch in Pool Bar was disappointing with same choice every day. Bistro does not allow take out. Was not able to book any speciality restaurant for an early sitting which was disappointing as we were there for 9 nights. Would still recommend.

Great Hotel-Just needs more Staff and a little TLC

This is our 2nd trip here. Its more of a 4 star than a 5 Star. Our rooms was lovely and clean and the cleaner did a lovely job each day. The pool area is very busy and everyone reserves sunbeds whichever pool you go to, if you are wanting to be be on the front row around the pool some folk but towels down as early as 06.30, thankfully we never wanted to the front row so was a little easier to get bed. People go on trips etc and still reserve sunbed and return at 3/4pm which I think is unfair to reserve when others are wanting them.

The hotel main restaurant is OK, not really many veggie options. drinks service is very slow but this is only because they dont have enough staff. We didnt go into the the evening entertainment but walked past the room it was in and the queue for the bar was usually around 10 deep and 1 person serving again not enough staff.

The pool bar could do with an update and as this serves the pools throughout the day it does get busy and could do with more staff.

Pool areas are kept clean and tidy. Personally cant see why when you have had a drink you cant dispose of it in the bin which are allocated around the pool instead of letting it get blow over and roll around.

The reception staff were great very friendly at check in and check out. if you want a taxi into the centre you just ask them. taxis are around 5 - 10 euros depending on the time of day.

The place was kept clean most of the time. Though at tea times the area around the pool was subject to a day’s worth of glasses and food left lying around. Staff would come and clear it up eventually but this was what I faced each time I went swimming in the large pool. I felt sorry for the staff that guests left the place in a mess.
The food and service in the Vulcan restaurant was very good. Though I would have liked to have seen capers, cucumber and other salad items on the breakfast bar. Also, as we stayed a week and ate in there each night the menu should be changed more often.
The buffet restaurant was awful. Not the food you would expect from a five star hotel. Service was slow, just trying to get a glass or a spoon took forever.
The Prestige bar area was nice. We spent most time in there as the main piano area was bedlam with so many people being on all inclusive there were queues at the bar all the time. It felt a bit like being in a workingmens club. Great if that’s your scene. But not what I would class as five star.

The outdoor pool was nice, staff are not friendly and don’t come to the pool for drink orders. Staff throw guests stuff if they find it. Outdoor pool water was very cold (heated would help) In the hotel, disco/dancing wasn’t there everyday. Music was old school too and not new music. Restaurants in hotel are booked up for 7 days. Buffet has more or less same food at dinner

Overall a very mixed experience.

The room location was superb, right on the sea front with an amazing view and patio. Also very private. The room and bathroom was also very nice (we upgraded to superior) and the room was mostly kept clean and tidy, although on a couple of days there was a failure to replenish tea/ coffee etc. Also towels just dumped on the bed not in the bathroom and bed not turned down.

Could not fault any of the staff: all were lovely, accommodating and friendly.

The Spa area and gym were what had drawn us to the hotel. You need to pay extra for the sauna 20 euro pp on each entry. Gym is free. The gym is okay, rather small. The Spa is mostly very nice. Could be cleaner in some areas and the jacuzzi is COLD. Also it's unpoliced, so we witnessed some quite inappropriate behaviour occurring in there.

We did not use the themed restaurants so cannot comment on those. The buffet food was excellent. A good variety and fresh. The Bistro Bar was a real let down. Food rubbish. The Sports Bar was a joke. It opened at 8pm every night (even when the 6 Nations rugby was playing over the weekend) was grubby looking, dim and dreary.

We were all inclusive and although we're not big drinkers in our opinion the alcohol was very watered down.

Towards the end of our stay the hotel got extremely busy and they were unable to cope with the volume of guests. There were massive queues for the bar and buffet.

Overall we will not be returning.

It’s a beautiful resort . Issue for me was that I made the mistake of booking a resort when I did not use it! Location not great when traveling around to see and do things . Had to drive out for dinner - on sit restaurants too expensive
And room was soooo far from reception as well as from parked car .
Was also very cold when there- no heat and draft coming in from the door.
I am sure if you plan to stay there and not go on excursions the experience may be better

Great food and sunshine was the best of it. However misleading expectations, no minibar with all inclusive unless you upgrade to Privilege Club, tiny balcony for standard room, self serve hotel despite 5* claims. Cold salt water pools. Theme restaurants not open all of the time and limited availability, plus only entitled to limited number of visits depending on duration of stay. Pool in poor state of repair and lots of broken floor tiles around the property. Not what you would expect for 5*. Queue for drinks in the evening although there is waiter service if you want to wait. Guest relations attempted to address our disappointment but didn't follow through with their promises, other than a free late check out.
If you want good food and sunshine then this is ok, but expect 3 - 4 * service for paying 5* prices. Wouldn't go back or recommend. Have previously stayed at ELBA suites down the road which is better.

Opportunities for improvement

First room offered did not meet my partner's requirements for security and ventilation.
Second room offered was much better.
At dinner one evening I was served ice cream containing a sharp fragment of plastic or glass.
Hotel management offered Cava and complimentary meals which were appreciated
However, avoiding the problems in the first place would have been better. Five star rating is questionable.
Overall though, staff were helpful and courteous and the resort is very attractive and service is good.

Overall this is a fabulous hotel where staff work incredibly hard to maintain this huge village-like complex. There’s plenty for everyone and we didn’t want to leave! We travelled as a family of 4 with children age 5 and 3.

Best bits:
-Plenty of swimming pools to choose from, childrens pools, chill out pool, pool with music and/ or activities.

-Great views of the sea.
-Choice of Cafes and restaurants.

For an affordable resort experience it's likely pretty good, but for those seeking a seaside town, well, you still have to drive everywhere (or at least be prepared for a really long walk). And the rooms, while nice enough, are showing just enough wear and tear to no longer feel all that special.

Privilege rooms were attractively decorated and we managed to get one with a wonderful Seaview. We were on half board and the food was a variable quality. Although this is a convenient option, people should consider bed and breakfast, if they have a car so they can try all the great local restaurants. The staff were generally, although not always, helpful and approachable.

Lovely hotel only €5.00 into town by taxi great staff really polite & professional good listeners but failed on more than one occasion to act upon my requests. I made it well clear before travelling for provision of halal food items for breakfast and was promised it would be noted to the kitchen management. When we arrived nobody had a clue about my request.. The staff blaming the restaurant management and the restaurant blaming the reception either way we was told at the hotel that there where no halal option although their menu did have vegan sausages..! My biggest concern for me personally was the bed, the matteress was way too hard I had 2 bad nights sleep before I requested a mattress topper, although it helped a little.. my sleep wasn't much better for the remainder of the stay and was such a dissapointment.. on top of that not to be given a gown or slippers but only to the premium rooms I find that belittling when your staying at a 5 star hotel as I believe everyone should be treat equally I requested them and got them but reminded by staff that I'm not supposed to have them then comes the spa facility I had to pay €15 to use the indoor swimming pool with was like any other swimming pool in England but only difference it was salt water from the Atlantic.. no children are allowed after midday in the spa and outside pool shuts at 6pm which I wasn't made aware of, the bar was full of roudy people with loud music therefore
nowhere to have a quite chill time

If you want a genuine 5* experience this is not the hotel for you. As a 4* the laundry list of faults is fine, and there are many guests who come back year after year. We won’t be though. It would be best to compare the experience to a mid range cruise. Everything is on a grand scale and suffers as a result. Long queues for reception, with battle weary staff, chaotic breakfasts with cold food and self service coffee machines. The food in general is inconsistent, and has many rules owning to the mix of guests staying on different food plans with different coloured plastic bracelets around their wrists. If your prestige that’s a grey bracelet with access to an a la carte restaurant for breakfast and lunch, if you’re a blue bracelet that’s access to various cafes and bars but you can’t take the food away, and regardless of meal plan room service and red cupcakes are extra. It feels like post covid this place is suffering, teams seem understaffed - we had one turn down service in 10 days and corners have been cut: Only a subset of the swimming pools are heated, and not to a temperature that made it comfortable and budgets for maintenance are clearly limited. We were upgraded as our initial room looked directly over people sunbathing on the pool deck, and this seems to be a standard tactic to placate guests leading to long queues at guest relations.

This place is not ready to be opened yet as staff at reception and in the restaurants appear to be in a very bad mood and are rude to customers. The gym administrator obliges you to wear a mask while using the gym including running which is dangerous and against WHO recommendations. The telephones in the rooms did not work so you have to walk to Reception across the resort to get things for the room (e.g. iron). There is a permanent queue at Reception while the Concierge is permanently absent. The Reception think they are there to market the hotel services so spend time trying to sell you them.
Save yourselves some money and book somewhere else!

Beautiful Hotel with great spaces. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the terrace bar as well as the animation for the kids even though miniclub was still closed. Restaurant Janubio was not a 5 star neither for food or service especially at dinner.

It is a very good hotel for families with children but with few downsides are the the Wi Fi in the room does not work at all & not much choice to choose in breakfast but overall very good. Swimming pools are nice & clean. Entertainment at night is not great but was ok to sit in the bar for couple of hours

Beautiful hotel spotlessly clean, excellent food.

Just returned from a 7night stay, beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean, spacious rooms, food excellent.
Only disappointment was the adult pools were freezing for the time of the year, the pools were empty really think the management team need to consider this point.
Despite the cold pools we shall definitely be returning next year, highly recommend.

The food in the 2 main restaurants was very good, however we were not able to try any of the other restaurants as they were fully booked constantly.
As we were on an all inclusive package and were booked into a junior suite, I would have thought all inclusive was “all inclusive”, this was not the case.
I asked for help to take our cases to the room however we waited over half an hour and no one arrived. We took the cases to our rooms even though we did not know where we were going and my husband is disabled.
The bed was extremely hard to sleep on. On our first night we both had a restless night sleep due to the bed being uncomfortable, we both woke with pains to our hips and back. I went to reception to ask if something could be done, I was told that they would look into it and provide another mattress top - nothing was done. I ended up sleeping on the settee mattress.
I misunderstood that there was a beach near to the hotel however this was not the case. On our third day I left the hotel and went to Papagyo which enabled me to go to a more relaxed place and to enjoy the sea. Both situations I was not able to experience at this hotel.

Brief stay at the Rubicon.

Very nice hotel with friendly customer focused staff. Upgraded to a superior room which was well equipped, great sea view, large balcony. The only downside was the bed, which whilst large was extremely firm and uncomfortable. Breakfast was extensive and varied, food of high quality. Hotel facilities are very impressive with a number of pools, well equipped gym, nice bar areas. Recommended.

Lovely hotel , much better since its upgrade.
Given smelly room to begin with ? drains , moved us straight away, very helpful at reception , very efficient especially Daniel.
Food good lots of variety. Spacious hotel no rush for sun-beds even during half term.
Spa hasn’t been upgraded unfortunately , quite scruffy.
Staff at snack bar friendly especially the lady who had days off weekend of 2nd Nov didn’t catch her name.

Lovely hotel all inclusive food and drink excellent only draw back was that staff at reception were not very helpful when you asked questions also staff in general especially the small bistro very rude .
It says 5 star but service for a 5 star and friendliness off staff is very very poor .
Still a lovely place but need to look at staff issues
