Fantastic Stay at Jardines del Sol!

We had a great time at Jardines del Sol. The villa was spotless, spacious, and located in a peaceful area — perfect for a relaxing break. The pool area was very well maintained, and the on-site pool bar and restaurant served excellent food with friendly staff.

It’s about a 15-minute walk to the nearest beach and supermarket, which was easy and pleasant. If you enjoy walking, there’s a lovely coastal path that takes you to a larger beach and more shops in around 25–30 minutes.

Overall, a wonderful place to stay — highly recommended if you’re looking for comfort and a quieter location, and don’t mind a bit of walking.

The staff at the hotel are great. They were extremely helpful. The only issue we had was ants in the sugar packets, but they were quick to offer a solution. We found it odd that you had to pay 2 euros to rent a pool towel.

Fabulous well equipped apartments.

Fabulous accommodation with lovely pool area. The apartments were really well equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. There was also a filtered water tap which was really useful.
There was no shop on site but you could order bread and pastries to be delivered each day.
We hired a car which was really useful as it is about a 30 minute walk to the harbour area.
I would definitely stay here again. 10/10

Third time we've stayed here, the resort is exceptionally clean everywhere. Staff always helpful and friendly. Had an issue with the drainage and the shower flooding the bathroom, one phone call had maintenance, fresh towels and housekeeping in within 10 minutes to sort. On site restaurant and bar not as good as previous stays as it has become well used by ex pats and local residents which unfortunately means service not up to par if you can actually get a table on event nights.

Not the quiet break we were looking for!

Have been staying at Jardines Del Sol for years now, it matches our needs, clean and lovely bar and restaurant onsite.

The problem here is the customer service it never fails to disappoint and this time was no exception, yet again building work going on right in front of our villa, said they were full and wasn’t, it was available to book and we was told by a member of reception staff they were not full. Asked to move on checkin and they fobbed us off for 2 days until we finally gave in and unpacked. Spent the next week listening to sawing, banging your name it - meant the terrace we paid for was useless - couldn’t even have a morning coffee out there. Just a warning any problems will fall on death ears - believe me!

Ok, but could be better.

It's ok overall, bungalows are spacious but there is room for improvement with regards to service. Service ranged between absent to bare minimum. International standard for a hotel doesn't apply here (things like helping with carrying luggage etc.). Complaints are responded to with defensiveness - it's not a debate club but a transaction between a customer and a business. If the business fails to satisfy, then it's on the business, not the customer. Also, the food was edible, but could have been better. Given the relatively cheap price, I can rate it ok, though. On the other hand, I won't be coming back.

It’s a good property, a long walk to the restaurants but we didn’t mind that. unfortunately there was noisy building work going on, we had to move rooms, we got a damp smell in the new one. The hotel did try to be accommodating and the filter water tap was excellent. Despite some inconvenience we’d go back.

Good Cocktail choices, the prices for food and drink are great. Definitely recommend Jardines Del Sol, Playa Blanca, The location is great, my advice would be to rent a car you will see the entire island at your own leisure.

This was our second stay at Jardines del Sol and again we thoroughly enjoyed it. The complex is situated at the top end of Playa Blanca but only a 20 min walk to the Playa Flamingo beach and 10 mins from the water park. The complex itself is nice and quiet but there are good facilities including the bar & restaurant which serves very good food. The villa's are well equipped with the bonus of a full kitchen and appliances.

We checked into the resort and found the receptionist to bw very helpful and polite. It was spotlessly clean throughout the resort and the apartment was also spotless. Facilities in the kitchen were very good and included a washing machine and dishwasher.
The only down side was we could hear the next door neighbours talking very clearly when in the bedrooms , apart from that everything was perfect.
I feel the resort is perfect for adults as it is very peaceful but did not see much for families with children to do to keep them entertained.
Bailey Bar 2 was also excellent, the staff are amazing as is the food served there and all at very reasonable prices.
I look forward to returning in the near future.

Pros: The resort looks lovely, the staff is incredibly nice and polite, the pool is amazing! We really enjoyed our stay. The Wi-Fi is also excellent. We had to work a bit during our stay and thanks to the quiet resort and good internet we had no issues with work. The apartments are spacious, the kitchen has everything you might need to make breakfast or dinner.

Fact: The booking sites show that there is a fabulous breakfast buffet option, which unfortunately does not exist anymore. We were sorry that we had false information.

Location: 15-minute-walk from the closest beach. The closest big supermarket is about a 25-minute-drive away.
Renting a car is absolutely a must, otherwise you cannot see Lanzarote's sights. While this resort is quite far from many sights, it is not really a problem since the island is very small.

Cons: The sound insulation between two neighbouring apartments is non-existing. We heard everything from the neighbouring room, their phones vibrating, their alarms at 6 and 8 am, their talks and their sex... It was really terrible. Luckily we only had a few nights with neighbours.

Really good facilities especially for families. Were able to provide a potty, pools were fenced for safety and shut securely when lifeguard wasn't available. Restaurant was pleasingly good, as well as serving a very wide range of food throughout the day, they also offer a take away service - great when you have little ones in bed to look after.

The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Reception, especially! Helping us with any questions we had, e.g local restaurant recommendations and helping us call a 7 seater taxi

The apartment was perfect.
Big comfortable beds, even the sofabed, plush pillows, fully equipped kitchen which was very handy.
The only slight downside with a toddler was there was no option to keep the door fully locked on the inside, as soon as you pull down the handle, the door would open. So, you have to keep an eye on your little one! The door obviously is locked from people on the outside

3 different pools: including a toddler pool with some toys, which was nice for my toddler.
There's also a lifeguard onsite.

Location: 30mins to the main strip with all the restaurants, at least 15 mins to the beach 'playa flamingo' where there are also restaurants
Taxis parked right outside as well and taxi prices are cheap compared to the UK
35-40mins transfer from airport. Transfers can be requested via the resort or booked separately yourself.

There's an onsite place to eat, serving food throughout the day as well. We ate there once and the food was reasonable. Steak was unfortunately tough and chewy.

Overall, I can't fault our stay.

Our 3rd visit as a family to this resort. It’s a fantastic place to stay with small children, the rooms are spacious and the service is fantastic. Don’t expect kids clubs and mini discos, it’s not that sort of place, it’s quiet and friendly. It’s a bit of a walk to the beach but the 3 pools here are fantastic. Playa flamingo also has a few places to eat although not many, a 3 euro taxi into Playa Blanca gives a lot more choice. Highly recommended for a relaxing quiet break.

We enjoyed everything about our stay at the property. Although it was a fair trek to local restaurants etc this did not spoil our enjoyment at all.
The reception staff and bar/restaurant staff were very helpful and always offered a smile.
It was great to be offered large containers of water. This was a real bonus.
Having English tv channels was weird - but welcome.
We loved Lanzarote. A hire car certainly helps. Walking up the volcano behind the resort was brilliant and gave access to some fantastic views.

A well maintained timeshare complex comprised mainly 2 bed semi detached bungalows, well equipped in well maintained gardens. Good pool area and bar / restaurant on site (changing hands the day we left). No problem with acquiring sun beds, it was very quiet during our stay. About a 20 minutes / 1 mile gentle walk to the centre of town or €3 in a taxi. The marina is further €5 taxi ride. There is a taxi rank directly outside the main gate and we never had to wait. Note if you are getting a taxi from the airport there are two Jardines del Sols in Playa Blanca, ask for the Diamond resorts one.

Jardines Del Sol is a lovely little resort that is very well maintained.

The resort consists of lots of little bungalows that are very well decorated, both inside and out. Each comes with a little terrace area with seating as sun loungers - perhaps lacking in privacy, but otherwise functional. The interiors are lovely, the TVs are a bit small in the rooms but likelihood is you’ll be outside a lot.

For me, unfortunately, the first of the below cons would mean I couldn’t come back to this particular resort. To be woken up every time your neighbour goes to the toilet is completely unacceptable. The hotel really needs to address this!!!

Cons:
- bedroom walls are paper thin, I could actually hear the person next door breathing; let alone every word of their conversations.
- There are a lot of extra costs. Towels cost extra, the safe in your room costs extra, if you want the place cleaned more than once it costs extra, early & late check in/out. A lot of these are basic hotel accommodation things and should be included.
- Many Scottish people.
- Food is ok, but price versus portion size can often be wrong.
- Food was inconsistent. Some dishes were really nice, I.e. tapas was nice & mushroom Alfredo was nice; however the burgers were very ordinary and the meat not great quality.
- You can’t turn the “this tv is in hotel mode” off, so it blocks part of the image.

Nice hotel but got food poisoning would not return

Our overall impression was really good, lovely spacious apartments and the grounds are lovely and clean and well kept.
We were very happy with our stay but unfortunately I wasted 2 days out of my weeks stay I’ll in bed with food poisoning at the on site restaurant . I had a rack of pork ribs at the pool bar restaurant which I believe was undercooked. Very pink and when I got to the thicker part of the meat it was quite bloody. Didn’t eat any more but obviously the damage was already done.
I told the staff I’d been ill when I was able to get back up and about and although they did say a half hearted sorry, I wasn’t even offered a refund. They seemed completely unconcerned.
Very disappointing and put me off eating there. Just had veggie pizzas after that which is obviously safe.

Very well looked after resort with excellent views across to Fuerteventura. Our 2 bed room was well resourced and had loads of space for us and our 14 & 11 year olds. The reception staff were a real help at all times and were supported by a friendly team especially their animator member of staff. Restaurant and bar couldn't be faulted as there was a good menu range all day and regular themed menus.

Staff always make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.
The bar has changed hands since our last stay in 2015 but still has great food, service and entertainment that finishes early to respect visitors.
Came home after a week feeling fully relaxed.
Think the Gardiner may need some help as some of the plants looked a bit parched and were dying - which is unusual.

Beautiful hotel

Fantastic comfortable, clean hotel. Only downside was the distance to the seafront and restaurants and the lack of taxis for 5 people. Taxi drivers seem very rude and unhelpful, no attempts to ring for a larger taxi for you, just stayed in their cars ignoring you.
Was very disappointed that pools were out of use and being refurbished, no information to that effect when booking. Totally spoilt what would have been a perfect stay otherwise.

We absolutely loved staying at jar dines del sol, it is so quiet and relaxing it is a 15-20 min walk into town but during the day we enjoyed that and at night taxies sit outside.It is only 3 euros into town our apartment was at the back of the complex which was really quiet but at the restaurant area I would imagine it could be quite noisy at night as they have singers etc on.The reception staff are excellent and can help with anything you need.
The apartments are cleaned and sheets,towels are changed every third day and cleaning is to a very high standard, we will certainly be back.

just back from a week here, first time staying at a Diamond Resort. Would give everything 10 out of 10 as could find no fault. We had the accessible room which was brilliant. Pleanty of room to move around. Roll in shower with all the equipment in place. A short distance to the reception, pool & restaurant/bar. We looked out onto the carpark with the main road in front but even that wasn't a problem as the sun was there whilst we layed on our sun loungers in the morning and promptly fell asleep. It would have been nice having a pool view, HOWEVER, the accessible room was more important and it was a quick less than 1 minute roll to the pool for the view. The hoist at the pool was an added bonus and allowed the other half to go swimming everyday - the pool girl attendant was brilliant at getting him in and out of the pool every day with no complications and always a smile on her face. The food in the restaurant was very good value for money and huge portions. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We were not pestered by timeshare sales people, and would not hesitate to stay at a diamond resort again if not a member as the attention to detail is second to none. It is about a 20 minute walk to the main square or we got a taxi each time and it cost just over 3 euro and the taxi rank is just outside the hotel grounds. Loads of them there from 18:30 onwards and reception will call a taxi if required.

Great setting. Staff helpful and always available to help. Apartment very clean.

The only issue is the wifi - we paid for a week but very slow and kept blocking us. The cost was refunded when we complained.

Lovely quiet complex.

We had a great time at Jardines del Sol!! The villa was well appointed ,spacious and peaceful. Staff were helpful in reception and in the bar/restaurant. Would certainly return.

I've stayed at this hotel 5 - 6 times previously and have always loved it. It's very peaceful and the apartments are nice and spacious. Whilst we only require one bedroom these apartments have two bedrooms which I always have found very useful simply for storing suitcases and more space for hanging clothes. It also has two bathrooms which is very useful. However on this occasion I was most disappointed that access to the spare bedroom and the second bathroom was denied without any prior notice. The doors to these rooms were locked. Given that the bathrooms are quite small it did create some problems when we were both using it.

Just Perfect

Me and my husband stayed here for a week at the beginning of September in a 2 bed bungalow. We had a lovely warm welcome when we checked in and that same professionally friendliness was the theme from all staff throughout our stay. The bungalow was in a good location tucked out of the way (2B) with no footfall walking past but only 2 mins from the pool/bar and reception. It was absolutely spotless and it was cleaned/serviced 3 times during our 7 day stay. It had all the facilities needed for a very comfortable stay including British TV channels, dishwasher, washing machine, very comfortable furniture in a bright and clearly refurbished property. We didn't use the restaurant too much as we like to try different places but we had a couple of breakfasts and lunches by the pool which were well cooked with good service.

We have visited Jardines Del Sol about twelve times and seen changes, a lot for the better, sum could be OK. The staff are Great and do not change a pleasure to deal with.

Gem with silly rules

This place is a gem except for silly rules on inflatables in the pool for kids???? Although a blasting ball skimming off the water and annoying the pool residents was accepted??? Other than the jobs worth pool attendants individual rules the place is good and a gem.

Excellent all round accommodation and service that could possibly be made a tiny bit better by being able to have access to your room/villa before 4 p.m....it was a long 4 hours having arrived at mid-day.

What a beautiful hotel!

This is a wonderful hotel. Very well presented, very comfortable and exceptional service (they couldn't do enough for you). The pools are heated and inviting, with all areas very clean. The food is decent, and the rooms are also immaculate, with all mod cons and plenty of space and comfort.

The gardens are beautiful - various cacti are everywhere, which makes for an interesting walk around the grounds.

We've stayed in many places abroad and this is one of the best - we were pleasantly surprised and the children loved it.

We would have no hesitation returning. Why would we need to look elsewhere in Playa Blanca/Lanzarote?

A must stay location in Playa Blanca.......

Superb complex we would highly recommend. Apartments were spacious and allowed parents privacy with 2 seperate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Staff were very friendly and service and pricing at pool bar was excellent. We would certainly not hesitate to stay there in the future. Location wise it is a short 10 minute walk down to the sea front, around 20 minute walk (or €3 in a taxi with the rank ideally located outside the complex) to Plata Blanca and around 30 to 40 minutes to the Marina (or €4 in a taxi). Only downside I would say is being charged for Wifi and for a safe in the room which I would expect as standard now in the industry - It was however nice to not have Wi-if and have our kids being active rather than their heads stuck in iPads and iPhones ;o).

Well run complex

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped bungalows, with nice pool area. Have stay here about 20 times, do I need to say more?
Only let down is the price of wifi.
