The location of this hotel is decent and some of the staff are lovely particularly the receptionist and the bar man at night. However the atmosphere is horrible. No music at the pool or at night until half past 10 but the bar shut at 11. No day time activities at the pool either. Actually the pool area during the day is so silent you wouldn’t think anyone was there. The food was absolutely horrendous if you don’t eat fish or pork don’t go! As that’s all that there was every day. The so called ‘heated pool’ was dirty and freezing. Our room was right next to a campsite with skips and campervans and the gate that separated it didn’t lock so anyone would wonder into the hotel at any point. The night activities was live music two nights in a row… was a really disappointing hotel/all inclusive experience

Had a lovely few days here. The bungalows were lovely, clean and comfortable. The food was not the best but fine for a few days. Breakfast probably the best meal. Only 10 mins walk to the beach with shops and restaurants. About 30 mins to the main Playa Blanca beaches but there are taxis available. The hotel is definitely in a windy spot as others have said but the heated pool made up for that!

Atlantic Gardens was a disappointment. Our bungalow was clean and in reasonable condition, but the outside areas were in very poor condition with pealing paintwork. The hotel seems to be mostly used by package holday companies which made the pool area very busy and congested. Most people seemed to put towels on sunbeds very early!
Pool towels were not supplied.
We were surprised to be asked to pay to use the room safe.
The breakfast included in our booking was poor quality.
On the positive side when we complained about the air conditioning not working, it was replaced within two days.

Peaceful tranquil holiday in the sun

We arrived at 11.30am so knew our room would be be ready. We were welcomed by a lovely receptionist who immediately set about giving us our all inclusive wrist bands so we could start our holiday. She told us to head back after lunch when our room would be ready.
We enjoyed a couple of cocktails each, then our lunch and a walk to the promenade before checking in to our bungalow.
The bungalow was decorated in white and was clean and spacious
There was a lounge/diner with a sofa, English TV, and a dining area, with patio doors leading to our private outdoor seating area. There was also a bedroom to the rear and a shower room. To the rear was an enclosed garden… too hot to sit in but ideal for drying clothes on the airer.
Food was good, as were drinks. There seemed to be just one drinks menu which is kept behind the bar so just ask for it.
Meals can be eaten inside or outside and outdoor tables are laid at mealtimes.
The resort is shielded from the wind so always warm and calm. It’s much windier outside.
Mini golf was covered in gravel so couldn’t be used but we walked up a nearby volcano and also walked along the promenade to the strip of shops. Both walks were lovely, picturesque and not too far.
There were 2 pools, a jacuzzi and plenty of sunbeds even with people reserving theirs by 8am
There was a singer on each night for entertainment.
This was a lovely peaceful resort.
If you’re looking for a chilled hot holiday this is the place for you.

Overpriced basic accommodation in poor condition

This accommodation was hugely disappointing. Very small, with basic living furniture and in dire need of repair. On the first night the bungalow entry lock was faulty and we had to call for someone to try and open the door for us. It had to be repaired the following morning. My husband got an electric shock from some exposed wires below the bedside light. No soap was provided for the hand basin and the shower had little power with only a curtain screen. The shower plumbing was also hanging off the wall. The coffee from the machines at breakfast was undrinkable. Price-wise it was comparable with the smart hotels nearby! Maybe the price seemed more reasonable for those on an all-inclusive package which seemed to be the majority of guests.. Thankfully we were only there for 2 nights.

No air conditioning

The air conditioning in our bungalow did not work and they were unable to do anything until the following day. It was 31 degrees and we were offered a fan. Neither myself or my wife slept that night. Not sleeping ruined the following day as we were like zombies.

Trying to get a taxi was a complete joke. We had to wait and hour. Completely unaware it would take so long and having to wait outside wasn’t pleasant at all.

Bungalows are perfect air conditioned couch tv two chairs dining table with a decent shower and hairdryer. Wi-Fi wouldn’t work for us but we didn’t bother trying to fix it either as we didn’t really need/want it. Pool area is nice decent number of beds however it’s dead silent it’s missing some background music. We only found out on the last day that there was activities we could have done throughout the day but nobody approached us to make us aware of this. Food was good it’s all inclusive we know it’s not going to be gourmet but we had a choice every night and were pleased with everything. Staff in the restaurant were very good and abdul in the bar was very fast! Entertainment was the exact same every night one person singing 70s and 80s which was fine except they all sing the same songs so very repetitive. Overall though we went for a relaxing trip and that’s exactly what we had!

Lovely Quiet Break - Don't go foer a sea view!

Loved our stay. quiet and relaxing.
The food and staff were great
We booked a Sea View (and paid for it!} but only got sea glimpses. Did report this on you checking in feed back but the hotel incorrectly said it had been resolved with us - it had not. We didn't want to ruin our stay by complaining so left it. Loved it there and would return but would NOT pay for a sea view!

Lovely and friendly staff. Great selection of different foods in restaurant.
Kept very clean everywhere. Lots of sunbeds all around the pools.
It was very peaceful and quiet at night and if you wanted to you could take a short walk along the seafront to shops bars and restaurants.
Everyone we spoke to were either returners or first timers who wanted to return.

Very average - would not book again

The hotel is average, wouldn’t rate it more than 2 stars! Pro - located on the south coast of the island, sea view, walking distance to bus stop, lighthouse and a few small bars/restaurants. Playas Papagayo 2 hours walk away or 30 mins/1 hour by bus/car. Cons - Basic bungalow accommodation, cold shower (hot for 30 secs only!), single beds put together to make a double, not a great variety of food at dinner time and food labels not clear (careful if you are intolerant to specific ingredients as they aren’t specified - always ask the chef), breakfast lacking of sweet spreads (chocolate/peanut butter) and burnt pancakes! Also, not the best customer service, the staff kept themselves to themselves and never even mentioned there’s a lovely sauna area with showers within the hotel.. by the time we realised there was a sauna it was too late for us to use it! And it would have been included in the price! Overall, Playa Blanca is a quiet area ideal for who wants to stay away from the busy side of Lanzarote and wants to visit the Papagayo beaches, however I’ve seen other hotels around the area which could be possibly offering a bit more than the Marconfort Bungalows. I wouldn’t personally book again.

Pleasant stay T Atlantic Gardens, this being our second. Good food, plentiful and varied and served hot! Room comfortable Beds very comfortable. Weather not too great this time, but about what you expect for January. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is nicely situated out of the back gate and on to the promenade. It's a bit of a walk into Playa Blanca of around 40 minutes but the taxi's are plentiful and very reasonably priced.
Be very aware of THE step outside the bar and dining room. It falls from about half an inch to four inches over about 10 feet. My wife missed the step and fell awkwardly. We would recommend it to other travellers and we would be happy to stay here again.

We booked a sea view and fed back to Hotels.com that it wasn’t really a sea view. Very quickly the local management reacted and moved us to a junior suite with a great sea view. The food and service were excellent. We were also very impressed with the amount of time the maids spent cleaning the rooms daily. The all inclusiveness was very relaxed with no fuss.

Great location, great Staff, good hotel.

The Staff are lovely, very hard working and always pleasant to guests. The food is good overall, lots of variety but fresh fruit salad would be nice rather than tinned. Little bit more work but it's the small things. The hotel it's self is getting tired, badly in need of the much talked about refurbishment! The pool area was okay, nice new double beds with sun shades, but could do with going around and getting rid of the few old and broken old ones. It was our second time staying here, would we go back again? Yes, would we recommend it to friends and family? Yes, but with a warning it's not the most fabulous hotel but it's good value for money!

Fabulous Stay, Fantastic Staff, Fantastic Food!

I can't rate this hotel highly enough. The bungalows are set in beautiful, quiet, well-kept gardens - each bungalow has a front and back patio area which are great for sitting and chilling out on. The bungalows are perfectly functional, clean and tidy with tea making facilities, a safe, hair-dyer and all the toiletries you could possibly need. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels are changed daily.
The all-inclusive option is amazing! We ate like royalty for the duration of our stay - the food was always tasty, well-presented and plentiful. Wine was served at the table and food was buffet style. The options were endless with so much variety. We were a party of 6 and each one of our party (including 2 vegetarians) all found the food to be fantastic! A special thank you to the kitchen and waiting staff (especially Pablo) who were always so attentive, helpful and professional.
The entertainment at the hotel was great - there is a varied programme of activities led by the amazing Konstantin who was enthusiastic and really very good at his job. Every day, there were several activities to try out, but equally if you did not feel like joining in, there was no pressure to do so. I would especially recommend the volcano walk which was a great experience.
The pool area is beautiful, the 2 pools are clean and well-kept, there is a Jacuzzi and more than enough sunbeds to go around. A fantastic holiday at a very reasonable price.

Great 3* hotel in a perfect location

We had a great 4 night stay here. The hotel was clean, in a great location and above all peaceful. The food was hot, plentiful and varied. The staff were all friendly, especially David in the Restaurant! We found the evening entertainment slightly ‘hit and miss’ but the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Overall a fabulous hotel in a perfect location. We’ll be back!

A quiet bungalow resort , well laid out and adults only. The all inclusive was fair but not great. Rooms were ok with bedroom bathroom and living area with cleaning ever other day. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Check in was not so good as we arrived on time at 2pm but our room was nor ready until 3.30pm.

This is a great hotel with plenty of food and drink choices, with some nice evening entertainment in an excellent location. Bungalows are a little tired but clean and comfortable. My only negative comment would be the housekeeping is only every other day which is not advised at check in or in the literature provided. We would go back to this resort for another quiet and relaxing break

Nice basic little hotel

We had a lovely 5 nights here in December. Few pointers that I hadn't read before booking here...

1) It is a really tiny resort, can't remember exactly but less than 200 bungalows. One small restaurant and bar. Not that this is a negative, it made a change, but you don't have the level of facilities. There were very few organised things to do, not really any classes. We did have a go at some archery one day.

2) The rooms were clean but very dated, do not expect anything posh. And yes beds were hard. Towels very old.

3) They do not have pool towels - bring your own!

4) Really good location, 30 mins walk into play blanca which is fairly chavvy so that's a plus really.

5) Food was nice - quite a lot of choice, but again it's a small resort so not as varied as i've had in the past.

6) Staff were friendly and helpful.

7) They did make an effort on NYE

I stayed over the Christmas and New Year period and was very pleased with the efforts made by the hotel and all staff to make this period special. The evening buffets on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve where excellent. So much effort had gone into the food and presentation the kitchen staff must hardly have stopped in their efforts to make each of these meals memorable.

Only problems was location with little to see locally and the need to hire taxis to travel into the town and/or Marina.

Food was excellent something there for everyone, the staff are really friendly and helpful, lovely beach within 500m, lots of tours to pick from on display at the hotel in the form of flyers , so you book it yourself, the bungalow was just right for 3 of us ( one bedroom and a pull out sofa) it was very clean , we all enjoyed our stay here our ages are from 20 to 49, there was a mixture of age groups while we stayed but obviously no children.

Fantastic hotel

I booked this hotel at very short notice as I decided to have a few days break, so ending up at the Marconfort was a (happy) accident.
The rooms are spotless as are all the walkways between the various apartments.
The pools are clean and well kept ( in my few days there I watched as they checked the water quality) . They are underused but that is not the fault of the hotel.
What can I say about the food? It was all in with the price and there was a varied buffet - my only problem was deciding what to leave off the plate.
During times when the restaurant I shut there is ready access to coffee, tea and a variety of cold drinks, including beer.
Other alcoholic drinks and snacks can be obtained by asking the staff, although this is not something I personally did as I didn’t feel the need to.
That I didn’t take alcohol during the day was entirely my choice - it is there is you fancy a cold one!
Check your booking is all inclusive and if it isn’t, try to get it. I thought it was excellent
If you have mobility issues the hotel is a fair distance out of town but I made friends with a wheelchair user and he didn’t think that was a problem as town can be accessed along the sea side walk and the staff had not problem arranging taxis either.
I couldn’t speak highly enough of this place!

Nice stay in a quiet resort

A good value stay in a clean quiet complex bungalows a bit dated but clean and tidy.staff very friendly with one exception,they all work hard and the matre de was very good at telling me what I could eat and what to avoid,l Am on a gluten free diet.the only downside was the attitude of the person running the activities,who was very rude and arrogant when we asked to borrow the stones to play boules he point blank refused saying we might lose them although this was supposed to be a hotel activity,we are reasonable players and have played all over the world and never experienced this before and his dismisive way we were spoken to is not what one expects.

Very relaxing, a little tired and dated but lovely and clean.
The food and drink were pretty good,breakfast and lunch being the best.
Some of the sunbeds were a little old and uncomfortable but if you choose wisely you will be fine.
Within 20-25 minutes walking distance of the main area of Playa Blanca (or 4 euros in a taxi) and an hour to Marina Rubicon (or 6-7 euros in a taxi). Would recommend for a nice relaxing break, this is not luxury but you don't pay luxury prices. Expect to get what you pay for and you will definitely NOT be disappointed. Would definitely return.

Lovely, relaxing holiday. Great value for an all inclusive break and the food was really good for a 3*! The bungalows have everything you need and are very clean, just starting to look a little bit tired in places but that didn’t bother us. If you don’t want to stay by the pool there’s a lovely beach in a cove 10 mins walk away with a few shops. We went snorkelling which was great, lots of fish to see and scuba diving to the under water museum, also well worth a visit. Playa Blanca is a half an hour walk away with lots of shops, bars and restaurant. Overall we would definitely recommend the Atlantic Bungalows, the staff were so friendly and welcoming and the place had a nice relaxed atmosphere.

We stayed 4 nights all inclusive. Our bungalow had a sea view and was lovely. Private patio with table and chairs. Lounge area comfortable with couch, large flat screen TV and small table and chairs. Coffee and tea were supplied with complimentary bottle of water on our first day. Food was of very good quality, lots of roast meat, chicken, fish and salad. Always a decent choice. Staff all hard working and friendly. I couldn't fault anything about the hotel and would definitely return.

Nice calm hotel, 5 min to beach, lovely food/drink

Love that the hotel is on the promenade and as you face the sea you have a manmade beautiful beach and a couple restaurants to your left 5 mins walk. 10 mins walk to you right is a little sports bar showing all football and €3 pints... The grounds need some love. Minigolf etc is all very tired. The rooms are really clean but 70s feel decor. Food is great and varied- surprisingly high standard. Slush puppy cocktails everyday, loads of soft drinks and alcoholic drinks available all day. David is a real gem. He is lovely and so friendly. Paco alway looks stressed and doesn't seem as friendly. The lovely girl behind the bar is brilliant and the entertainment guys are brilliant. Varied ages in guests but very calm hotel.
Breakfast: 8-10.45am
Lunch: 13.00-14.45pm
Dinner: 18.45-20.45pm
Bar open 11pm
Snacks available between meal times at bar but small charge. 3 pools.
Safe in room €18 for week + €12 deposit.
Papagayo centre €5 taxi where there are loads of irish bars, karaoke, authentic Spanish bars. Mollies bar stays open until you leave. No matter what time it is. Live music pretty much every night. And big beach area for day time.

A very enjoyable week. On arrival the reception was very helpful & informative. Bungalows a bit tired, ours was comfortable & clean, the air-con was excellent & the Wi-Fi pretty good. The pool area was good but needs to be bigger for the amount of guests. The restaurant was better then expected, with good choice of food & replenished regularly. Waiters & waitresses worked hard serving drinks & keeping it tidy. Could do with 2nd toaster to reduce queue's at breakfast time. Snack bar was adequate (just), a bit more imagination with the snacks & service with a smile goes a long way! Evening entertainment better & worse than expected. 'Karaoke without a singing compare!!!!!!' Bingo is a must when you see the top prize on 1 day was 69 Euros!! Overall -Great!

I would start by saying we hope to return next year. We've never done that before.

A wee bit down at heel in terms of the buildings and furniture but this is a small gripe in an otherwise great place to stay! No issue with cleanliness.

Location - on the edge of Playa Blanca but close to the sea. We had a hire car so no problem accessing the town etc. Those with mobility issues may find the walk into town a bit too much. Taxis are supposed to be cheap though.

Food - great! (apart from the desserts)
Entertainment at night - great!
Staff - very nice!

All in all I would highly recommend for a nice peaceful (no kids screaming!!!) holiday.

Relaxing all inclusive with great staff

Had a relaxing holiday here in August at the Atlantic Bungalows. Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Hairdryer, kettle and toiletries all provided. Towels in room but no towels provided for the pool area. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Food was ok, lots of roast meat and fish. Wine and sangria both nice but the spirits were low quality. Entertainment provided in the daytime (shooting, ping pong, aqua aerobics etc) and in the evening (bingo, quiz, karaoke and singers). There is also a gym, sauna, jacuzzi and tennis court. It's quiet and relaxed, just what we needed.

Clean 3 star hotel, nice but not amazing

Clean nice 3 star hotel. Food was basic but good enough, hotel was quite small but we quite liked that. Hotel is about a half hour walk from playa Blanca town and probably 15 minutes walk from the first beach. We would have liked to stay closer to everything but we wanted adults only. The bungalows have very thin walls and we were kept awake from about 5am most mornings by people moving chairs around! This did sort of ruin the holiday as we were in bed before 11 most nights due to being so tired! This is due to other guests rather than the hotel but that's unfortunately our experience. The guests are mostly older rather than younger which we didn't mind as we were out and about the majority of the time. Rent a car as there isn't much to do at the actual hotel. Rent from airport rather than hotel as a car from the airport for the week cost us the same as renting for a day from the hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay but we didn't spend much time at the hotel to be honest and would have preferred to be self catering.

Nice adults only resort.

Probably best for the over 40s ... That's not necessarily a bad thing.. Food is good with a fair choice each evening but does get a bit repetitive after a few days.. Good location right on the sea front with a leisurely 20-30 min walk into town. Some nice eateries & bars on the way..
Hotel staff work very hard & really try to please you. Animation is a bit dated but again caters for the older clientele & again he works hard is is not pushy if you don't want to join in..
Pools were cold & could do with some solar heating but plenty of sun beds available but not overly comfortable..(don't forget to take your own towels for these) Bungalows are a good size & well equipped, clean & comfortable.
So all in all a good relaxing place to stay...

Nice and peaceful hotel

Nice clean hotel, which has all the basics you need for a nice and relaxing holiday especially as it's adults only. Never a problem getting sunloungers and it's about a 30 minute leisurely stroll to the main part of Playa Blanca, turn left along the coastal path (at the bottom of the hotel complex) which is a lovely walk. There are a couple of smaller beaches closer and the small Natura Beach with some restaurants and sports pub about 5-10 minutes walk if you turn right on the coastal path. The food was good for an all-inclusive, a decent selection of meats and usually 2 nice fish options as well as a nice salad selection which is perfect in the heat... Drinks were decent as well, with beer (Amstel) and soft drinks you can help yourself to throughout the day... We went at the end of April and it was 26 degrees but felt scorching, a bit of cloud and breeze made it more bearable! The gym and mini golf are not in the best condition but tennis courts and pools were in good condition. We are early 40s and probably brought down the average age by 20-30 years, the evening entertainment was quite good fun with us playing \"Name That Tune\" pretty often, washed down with drinks...! Overall a lovely and relaxing break

Fantastic accommodation and resort

Excellent stay from start to finish. Accommodation is amazing value and service from staff is really 5 star. Always accommodating and going the extra mile to help.
Location is fantastic for a weeks stay. Plenty of nice walks and local shops. Beaches are particularly nice - man made so nice calm water and never overcrowded .
Shuttle transfer to location only took 40 minutes. Easy to use and professional with stalls in the airport to make it easy.
From start to finish great holiday with accommodation being a fantastic find .

Great adult only hotel.

We have just returned from a one week stay at Atlantic Gardens, it was so peaceful and relaxing during the day because there were no kids screaming and splashing round the pool.
The hotel is in a good location not too far out of town, it is lovely and staff are really friendly and helpful.
The food is very good however can be a bit repetitive like most all-inclusive hotels, everything is well presented and replenished regularly.
There are a good variety of drinks to choose from and the entertainment is very good in the evenings however for an adult only hotel it finishes early, it would be better if extended at least until 11.30/12 midnight.
We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again, adult only is the way to go if you want a chill out break.

Quiet, friendly hotel

The bungalows are well designed and carefully maintained within the interesting black soil gardens. Everyone was friendly and helpful and we never had a problem finding a lounger at the poolside. Liked the adults only ambience of the hotel.
Evening entertainment was fairly pedestrian and predictable but people seemed to enjoy themselves.

Location was great

Easy walk down to sea, did a lot of walking and hired motorised scooters one, great fun. Went on boat trip to lobos island. No whales or dolphins this trip. Used the pool everyday and the staff were lovely, food more than plentiful and the accommodation more than adequate and was kept clean everyday.

January break

Stayed at this resort for a week in January for a little Winter sun. We had read previous reviews and had a booked with a good feeling .... we weren't disappointed! (Expedia once again you didnt disappoint !)
Atantic Gardens is in a lovely area just outside of PlayaBlanca near the lighthouse and within an easy 15 minute coastal walk of the main resort.
Keeping in mind this a 3 star all inclusive... The staff work really,really hard and nothing is a problem, the room although perhaps a little dated is however spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The pool facilities are good with plenty of sun beds (although some are pre booked with towels early morning!)
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are self service Buffet style which was always of a good standard and plentiful. We're vegetarians and always found something to eat.
We had no complaints with our all inclusive drinks either!😉
Entertainment guy (sorry forgot your name) was motivated, dedicated and humourous despite a lack of participants on days.
We would and probably will return.

Hotel in quiet setting

This is a popular hotel with people aged 60+. It is situated close to the sea and there is a lovely walkway all the way to Rubicon Marina, The closest beach is Flamingo and it's approx. 1/2 mile away. We loved it as it was sheltered from the wind and offered safe swimming. The main town is a good 25 to 30 minute walk and has a nice selection of restaurants, cafe's where you can sit looking at the sea. There is a good selection of shops and on Wednesday and Saturday there is a market at Rubicon, which gets very busy. We were all inclusive. Food was good and was constantly replenished. Getting a table wasn't always easy as the hotel was quite full. Some of the tables are very close to each other so private conversations aren't possible, but on the plus you get to know the people on the next table !! The waiting staff are brilliant. A carafe of wine is offered as soon as you sit down to lunch or dinner . Evening entertainment is very good but mostly aimed at the older generation. If you like Elvis you're on a winner. The rooms are clean and you get room service every other day. Forget the TV as there are only 3 English channels ( Disney, Discovery and BBC World News) Internet is very frustrating but if you're patient is does work well sometimes. Don't get too excited about the Gym as it isn't worth the effort. The hotel does Pilates, Yoga and Stretching if you want some keep fit. All in all this is a excellent 3 star hotel and we had a very enjoyable holiday.

We had a brilliant holiday at the hotel. The staff were really friendly especially Costi the Entertainment guy. Loved the day entertainment including the aqua aerobics and had a good laugh on the evening with Costi and the entertainment. Small hotel but very friendly and quiet. Food was brilliant too. Lots of variety to suit everyone. Would definitely go back another time.

Great hotel but a distance from any shops.

A really enjoyable holiday in a great hotel,the only downside was the distance to any shops.
It was a 15 minute walk to the nearest shop,and a further 20 minute walk in to Playa Blanca although you could get a taxi from the hotel reception for about 4 euros.
The hotel and staff I couldn't fault and the food selection was good and well cooked.
