The bathroom was a disgrace. The floor of the shower/tub showed great sign if irreparable harm to the surfaces as something had worn through the layers exposing deeper layers. Even at that price we would not stay here again. Pay attention -- this is the first poor review I've ever written.

Room was clean enough. Bedroom was comfortable and the 1776 decor was amusing. Bathroom was organized with small amenities, but did not seem 100% clean. One bath towel had a cigarette burn in it when we got there. Worth the price I paid however.

We just stayed at this place for the first time, my family and I… it was a pretty large group. We brought the New Year in here, so we checked in late. Came in to our rooms and there where literally roaches crawling on the wall in the bathroom.. I complained about it and they said they couldn’t get in touch with the manager.. still waiting for a response

The color of the room was very dark (brown color walls and dim lighting) the remote control on the TV was an old style and was not easy to use. Bathroom was nice but the facuet in the bathtub would still run when you turned on the shower.

The place is dark and dingy. They could not be bothered to sweep the elevators, they have you place your trash outside the room for pickup before 4PM otherwise it will sit there all night. They do not make up the room daily. Cheap for a reason.

We checked in alright and it was smooth enough. Checkout was also very smooth. That being said, we had reservations for a room with a king bed and sofa bed and had to be \"downgraded\" to a two double bed room because of a \"system update\" and the rooms were \"booked out.\" There was no communication beforehand of a change to our reservation's status. With having two small children, we had picked the room specifically for that need. On top of that, there was a smell of marijuana in the hallway. This can't be helped without PA law enforcement, but it was not something we expected or want to expose our young children to.

If it was just my wife and I, things would have been more tolerable.

Rooms and service are on point? The staff is welcoming, attentive and do a great job checking in, fast and easy. We use this hotel a lot as we travel with our team from Massachusetts to near by West Chester University and other local showcases and we love staying here as it’s convenient and there’s a Wawa’s walking distance or a minute drive.

It is the start of winter, and when I turned on the heat, I experienced sinus issues. After letting it run for a day, things finally calmed down with micro dust. The hotel was clean. It is an older hotel, so the tubs are worn out. There are many traveling maintenance workers, so the carpets are a bit worn.

The Hotel was good and we had a plesant stay for two nights. The rooms were recently renovated and clean. The carpet could do with some shampooing. The beds were a bit small for two people to sleep comfortable. The shower needs an upgrade. The bath tub was getting clogged, but was quickly attended to by the maintenance.
The overall stay was good and great value.

There was no breakfast offered. The whole place smells. The beds were not very clean. The sheets were paper quality.
I only stayed for one night. And moved to another hotel. Bathtub was broken, room phone no dialog. Tv remote with no batteries. One one outlet for charging phones & iron. The hall way was smelling cigarettes & more cigarettes stubs in the hallway floor. No stuff to be found for help.

Room smelled like vape. Whole first floor smelled bad. Paint was peeling in the tub. Room was cold. Temperature was hard to regulate. Desk was dirty with food stuck on it. Door on cabinet fell off. Fridge was broken. Towels were cheap. Breakfast was not good. Eggs tasted artificial, hash browns barely warm. Ate toast and Raisin Bran and paid $7 for it.

When I checked in the younger man at the desk barely spoke to me and then picked up his cell phone and began speaking to someone else in his native language while checking me in. I didn’t even have the opportunity to ask any questions. He charged my card without stating how much he would charge or if there would be a temporary hold of any kind for incidentals. He told me nothing about parking, check out time, or WiFi.
I was then quickly rattled off that I had to walk down the hall to the right for the elevator. What he didn’t mention was that I had to walk down 2 hallways on the right past 3 multipurpose rooms and the bar to find the elevators.
When I asked if there was a luggage cart available he said “yes but nobody brought them back” and that was that. I had manage all my luggage and extras for an event I was attending without a cart.
Check in was the worst but it didn’t end there. Trying to get clean towels and extra toilet paper was another chore.
I don’t think I would be staying here if my event wasn’t in this hotel but i definitely won’t be staying here next time regardless of where the event is taking place.

The tub in my room does not work properly. I was not able to move the level to change the water from shower to the faucet to take a bath. The lever was stuck and I could only take a shower. And the tub looked old / worn not clean and attractive.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was ample parking available throughout the day. I stayed here for a quick business trip to the area, and it met my needs. My schedule is sporadic, so it was a big help that the front desk is open 24/7 for late check ins. I will definitely stay again if/when I’m back in the area

The food was expensive and terrible not even hot boiled sausage unbelievable. The pool was filthy rotten dirty, and they had stuff in the bottom of it and people kept getting cut. The water was dirty. It didn’t even have chlorine in it.

Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend

From the moment we walked in, it was clear this would not be a great experience. The lobby was a confusing mix of mismatched decor, and the overwhelming smell of cooked food—seemingly embedded in the air over years—was immediately off-putting.

The journey to our room did little to inspire confidence. While the property seemed as clean as it could be, it bore the marks of years of wear and tear. The elevator was defaced with etched-in graffiti, and the hallways carried the same lingering food odor as the lobby.

When we entered our first room, we were hit with the stench of old cigarette smoke that had clearly seeped into everything. It was also uncomfortably warm due to a non-functional air conditioner. We went to the front desk, and before I could even finish explaining the issue, they handed me a new room key—clearly, they’d heard this before.

The second room had working air conditioning, which was a relief, but came with its own issues: stained towels and a toilet lid that wasn’t properly attached and kept sliding off.

We stayed one night out of necessity—it was late, and we had an early morning meeting—but I would not stay here again. Other friends who stayed at the same hotel also reported problems, so this was not an isolated experience.

Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere.

The bathroom floor was so dirty. My kids picked the towel off the floor and it was disgusting. The tub was cracked, the toilet handle was on backwards and the AC unit was filthy. Most of the outlets in the room didn't work. And we had to move the lamps around to have light. The AC was so old, it was extremely loud.

Pictures look great! Your eyes know the truth…

Pictures say a thousand words! Place looks great on camera. In actuality it’s not fantastic. Just an old, beaten down property that could use landscaping and some light renovations. Oh, and there was a hair tie in my bed that I found the next morning after I woke up sooooooo, probably not changing the sheets. If I am signing up for a less than stellar place, then I at least want that less than stellar continental breakfast. This place is less than stellar and you have to pay for the, more than likely, less than stellar buffet. The air conditioner worked great though!

Unfortunately, the accommodations were not good from multiple standpoints. Dirty towels, no AC, refrigerator making noise all night, ceiling pieces missing. The shower water hardly got hot and the faucet in the bathroom sink was broken. To think all rooms from our respective baseball families having similar if not same issues and then some. The location was good for us, but the hotel itself was not good, and this is why 1 star was given. If I could give no stars I would have done that instead, but you have to add at least one star to this rating.

We booked the king bed room for one night to attend a wedding a short distance away. First thought, the room needs an update. There is a soft spot in the floor about 1 foot from the bed. The air conditioning did not work correctly and the room was a constant stuffy 73 degrees.

Our toilet seat was broken, the lock on the door was broken, our card wouldn't let us in on our 2nd day. The room smelled like rotten bananas along with the hallway. Our shower faucet was spraying water outside of the shower and all down the back of the toilet wall. On our last day at 5am our smoke alarm kept going off for no reason.

This was the worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in—and I travel often. To make matters worse, the air conditioning wouldn’t go below 72 degrees, so the room stayed uncomfortably warm. The room itself was extremely outdated, musty, and damp. On top of that, the pillows were tiny—more like throw pillows than proper bed pillows. Very disappointing stay.
