Our stay usually here is a great time, but this time it was not so great. Check-in was easy and staff was very friendly. Our room was fine and as normal (great). Everything was fine until around 10-12am. As my husband and I were getting settled in bed, we heard lots of running around and noise from the floor above us. I brushed it off and was able to soon fall asleep, until about 11/11:30pm. My husband and I were abruptly woken up due to someone either kicking or banging on our door. My husband got up and checked the hallway, and no one was there but we could hear giggles in the area. I got dressed and walked out the hallway and yelled down at some teenagers in the hall who stated they didn’t know who did that. Whatever. We got back in bed and tried to fall asleep but every noise after that we were listening to and not being able to sleep. I can get past a little teenage fun. But not at 11:30pm at night. I decided not to go to guest services because there’s not much I thought they would do. Hoping next time our stay was not as bad as this one. Otherwise we love this hotel.

We got to the hotel and the front desk clerk had an attitude. She appeared to be annoyed that we were checking in at a time where she was sitting at the front eating a bag of Chick-fil-A. The cook told us that he does the bartending the dishes and the cooking. He took forever to get us our food and when we got the food, it was terrible, the guacamole was frozen! We couldn’t even use the guacamole on the quesadilla. The bathroom in the bedroom had not been properly cleaned. There was some sort of pile of dirt or dust or something just sitting on the sink. It was obvious that the sink had not been properly wiped down. Lastly, there was an alarm that was sounding for hours on and off. We weren’t sure if we were supposed to evacuate the building. The alarm sounded while we were still asleep and continued to go for awhile. We were looking to have a couples weekend getaway and this was disappointing.

The view over the creek was nice. Room was mostly comfortable. You can hear everything that's happening in the hallways. Stained carpet, dirty towels, the bed was very oddly positioned, very small pool. But fine for a few nights if you are passing through.
Downstairs coffee bar was convenient even though a small coffee is $4. The staff is nice. For $100/night it makes sense but would not pay more.

We were unable to use the sofa bed because the mattress was in terrible condition. It was soiled and grimey. There was no way we could have slept on it even with the sheets covering it. Unfortunately there were some loud, smoking and unruly guests each evening due to a couple of teenager events (high school prom after party, and some sporting event). The housekeeping staff failed to take care of our room, although we were there for 3 nights. Had to go to desk to get our own clean towels and make up bed each day. Needed a handicap accessible room, which we got, but the toilet was not stable on the floor. After speaking to the manager, she was very apologetic and tried to make things right, like hand delivering towels and offering a comp meal. The hotel needed security at night to deal with unruly guests. The hotel was conveniently located between our two designations for the weekend, so that was a plus.

You owe me money !

When I checked in I was asked to leave a $40 deposit for incidentals. I was told my card didn’t go through. So I had to put my card through again. I didn’t think anything of it. Saturday I checked my account I had 2 charges one for $40 the other for $290. I brought it to the front desk’s attention and they told me there was nothing they could do because there is NO manager on duty on the weekend. The room had mold all on the door frame.

We went up to Coatesville to join Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church's 36th Annual Messiah Sing-Along - an incredible musical event celebrating the Savior's birth. life, death, and resurrection. The Courtyard staff were very welcoming, helpful and patient. We needed a cot, needed to know a great place to grab breakfast, etc. Hot tub was a wonderful way to wake up. The scenery was gorgeous and it was less than two hours from where we live. The favorite part of our stay was finding the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ that was in the nightstand. I didn't know the Savior ministered in the Americas after His resurrection!

The doors to the outside did not work. Could go out could not come in. There were people screaming and slamming doors from 11:15 pm to 2:45 am. The front desk would not answer the phone or address the problems. The staff I dealt with were miserable. I was having trouble with Expedia and called to make the reservation through the hotel. Some guy told me I had to make it through him, the price was $80 more, get finished giving info - oh that rooms not available and added $30 more. For a total of $290. I got back on Expedia and had the same room for $183 immediately. There was a gentleman that came in, had a reservation through Expedia and was turned away because they had a walk in immediately before him and was able to charge them \"your\" increased price. We travel frequently and this is the worst experience that we have ever had in past 10 years. The reason we chose this hotel was because you accepted pets.

Great spot for a business trip

Upon checking in the young lady was bubbly and professional, setting the tone for my stay. The woman at the barista was enjoyable to talk to and we shared many laughs! I thought I left my phone in my room and the employees were prompt at letting me back in after I had checked out to let me check there before the cleaning crew arrived.

I just stayed here for the three days and have stayed here in the past. This time, it was dirty. Hair in the sink and shower, stains on the carpet. The extra lock on my door did not work and the light outside my hotel door was out. As a woman traveling alone, this does not provide the comfort and safety you hope for.

I had major travel issues the day I was supposed to check into the hotel. I called ahead to let them know I wouldn't be arriving until after 3am. The woman immediately said she would give me a late checkout of 4pm!

When I arrived, a different woman checked me in. She was very kind and even gave me a voucher for free breakfast for all my troubles, even though it had nothing to do with her.

I'm a loyal Hilton brand guy, but this experience has encouraged me to look at Marriott more often!
