I ran into an issue where my flight was delayed which caused me to miss my connecting flight and not get to the hotel until the next day. Even though I technically lost my reservation because I couldn't check in on time management was super helpful when I got there and helped me get everything sorted and got me a room for the time I needed. The entire staff was very helpful during my stay.

The room was clean. A lot of wear on the couch and chairs, though we saw what looked like a delivery of new couches in the hallways. We only stayed overnight, so I don't have a lot to add. We stayed in a one-bedroom, which had a comfortable king-size bed. The location was good and just off the highway. The hotel and room served the purpose at a reasonable price, and the staff was friendly.

Ok but a long way from good!

Claims to be a non-smoking hotel but was obviously a smoking hotel before and was not completely remodeled. Could smell smoke when the AC ran. Water pressure in bathroom sink was pathetic, not even strong enough to rinse toothpaste out of my toothbrush.
Also, long-term tenants just put their trash outside their door in the hallway giving a really poor impression to newly arriving guests.

I enjoyed a large spacious room with a dishwasher, cook top, refrigerator, microwave, some dishes, coffee maker, soft chair, desk, phone, huge TV, laundry facilities. It is a room where you could live comfortably for an extended period of time. I was positively impressed for a hotel in this class and price range.

It was a decent stay. Disappointed with no continental breakfast. I should have read that in the details. The elevator was extremely noisy and very slow. Room was very nice, except one of the charging plug's next to the bed didn't work. Overall decent stay but we will try somewhere else next time.

There wasn't any big issues of cleanliness except mirror was dirty, some dishes weren't very clean and counter had some stuff that wasn't wiped up. Over all I was still pleased .

We got there and the check in counter was dirty and had hair on it. I thought oh no…..They had no water to sell and very limited snacks. I got on the elevator and it was filthy. The corners were built up with dirt a grim from not being cleaned. I thought maybe I’ll skip spending the night and push on the 3 hour drive back home.

I got in the room and was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and in good condition. My room was next to the elevator but I didn’t hear it at all.

Checking out the next morning and the lobby floor was very dirty. The check in counter was still dirty from the night before.

OKC Trip

Location was perfect for my trip to OKC. I have seen this hotel from the road on my other visits to the area, however was leery due to other reviews. I am glad that I did book my stay.

The check-in was seamless and efficient. They were training new staff, however the trainee was excellent in my check-in process.

The room was my initial hesitation due to the reviews. How way off base those reviews were. The room was perfect - all of the pictures and the usage of the room were spot on.

Location is definitely a plus - just a word of advice when using Uber for a pick up - text the driver not to follow the drive app as the direction will take the driver the long way to get there. The location is easy - right off of NW 12th Street.

I will stay again on my return visit. Could not recommend this place more - price, location, safe, and a great to rest and relax.

The property itself was better than I expected from the photos. The only issue was with check in. Never in all my years of vacations, have I been charged the full amount AND also had a “second pending charge” for the full amount. We stayed 2 nights in a studio so it was like almost $900 held in limbo. I couldn’t imagine if I only had that amount for weekend to eat or play with. There’s something suspicious about that. I’ve stayed in multiple properties across the United States and there’s a charge for the stay and a second pending charge for a lot smaller for incidentals. This should be looked into for those that would be screwed if all their money was held because whoever checked them in, mischarged them for the incidentals. So my advice is when checking in, to clearly ask how much they are charging. Other than that, the room was clean and proper and much more updated than the pics give it justice. Would stay here again even after the issue at check in.

I stayed one night. The room was big. Included a refrigerator, microwave, little burner, and a coffee pot. Ironically it had plates and cups but no silverware so that was odd. Very clean, desk clerk was nice, no breakfast served but they did have frozen stuff and snacks you could purchase. No condiments for them though. For a quick stay it worked great

On this day the room that we had featured a recliner. It had been moved into the middle of the floor and cleaned around. I moved it back in the corner and there was money and food underneath the chair. The end table by the bed was not wiped down because it had sticky residue on it.

I will never stay nor recommend this hotel to anyone and intend on contacting their corporate offices to file a complaint. The room phone did not work the evening we arrived; when I told the girl at the front she looked at me like I was crazy. My 8 year old granddaughter found a small picture under one of the chairs, pulled it out and it ashes and half a joint. Obviously the room had not been cleaned efficiently. The bath tub drain was slow and while taking a shower the wall pooled around my feet.
The people across the hall were up all night; going from one room to another; each time slamming the door. Needless to say I was exhausted the next morning and had to drive 7 hours to get home. I travel extensively and this was the worse place I have ever stay. My card was charged $241 and my nightly rate $80 is not sure how or what they charged for “incidentals”.

Didn't enjoy my stay at all. My shower head so dirty water Barely even came out. Then I noticed that as soon as I got at there 230 to check-in they decided they were just going to clean my room and did a Sloppy job.I just worked a long shift at work i was tired. The little older lady at the front looked like it was so Unconvenient that I was there 30 minutes early.

When arriving late in the evening (which I did) one the front parking lot was full and the only parking available was in the rear of the building. The building could not be accessed via the rear and side doors forcing a person to walk around to the front of the building. This was not an issue with me except for the inconvenience but I can understand others concerned about their security having to walk around the building at night.

OMG Where to start? When I got there the credit card reader wasn’t working. I had to go to ATM to get cash to pay for visit. Then was told I had to leave a deposit because I was paying cash!! Then keys didn’t work when I got to room. Back downstairs to reprogram keys. Got in room. No ice. Back downstairs for ice. Told it was in freezer in room. Nope. Finally they just gave me a 10 lb bag of ice. Room door stuck & I had to force it open. Found dead French fries on floor between bedside table & bed. Reported to desk. Was asked, “what do you want me to do? Sweep them up?” Would have been nice, but when I came back from dinner, they were still there. Room was never serviced during 5 day stay. Disgusting. If I’d had time I’d have moved but was there for dogs show & was tied up so much of time. PS-I wear a prosthesis for my leg amputation. I got to my room on second day and took off prosthesis when I got back to hotel because I was having pain. About 30 minutes after I got settled, front desk called to have me come sign the statement verifying that I’d left a cash deposit!
Just don’t stay here. Just don’t.

Some snags with our stay

Were put in a room whose door opened without the key card, were told “we thought they fixed that”, and were given next room having to pack back up just to move next door. Then the key cards in that room didn’t open the door easily and one card didn’t open it at all. Had to make us new cards which also didn’t work well. Struggling with them was the word we used. The air conditioner on auto clicked off but didn’t come back on even though room got hotter. We had to leave fan on for it to cool room consistently. Staff was nice, hotel was clean n comfy but discovered on my online bank account I was charged $100 more than was on my check out receipt which put me in overdraft but hotel clerk told me it was backed back out. Will have to check with bank to be sure that is the case. Likely won’t use Candlewood suites in future.

My RESERVATION was canceled 2 1/2 hours prior to my check in time, I was already 6 hours from home, The managers excuse “we are an extended stay facility and “they” decided to stay, so we can no longer honor your reservation ....their policy states extended room requests will ONLY be honored pending availability, well that didn’t matter to them! All hotels were booked and I was not able to secure a room till the next day so I was forced to sleep in my car! And I still have not heard from their corporate office, nor have received an apology. I was there to see my son off on his deployment!!!

Cassandra is over-worked (and probably under \"appreciated\"). She was the only visible person on staff when I checked in. She was handling phone conversations and working with \"the guest in her face\". Thank goodness I use Hotels.com. Tired and annoyed as I was (that others aren't savvy enough to book through an app), Cassandra had SUCH a nice demeanor, that I exercised MUCH patience. She had a sold out night, accidentally gave me the wrong room, accomodated guests in her face and some on the phone...and STILL had a smile. EVERYONE...GET AN APP...mine happens to be Hotels.com. Candlewood Suites, please appreciate Cassandra. Oh, and the hotel eas clean, comfortable and what I expect of the major brands.

The property did not look like the pictures on line at all. It was in the process of being renovated and all torn up. They also wanted an additional $25 pet fee which was not listed in the details of the booking process. I also called early morning before our arrival to confirm and there was no mention of any additional fees. I would not stay there again.

Unfortunately the site was under renovation and construction. The computers had gone down, we couldn’t check in, we left but then they called us and we went back. Had to ask for glasses, no breakfast (unless you wanted to buy vending machine stuff). The night staff was as helpful as she could be but not a great experience.

This trip was terrible. Number one the hotel is under construction. Number two someone knocked on my door at 11 at night. Number three the staff sucks and the manager refuses to call you back. Number four, there was loud construction starting at 7am. Number 5, there was literally a work man outside my window. Number six the hotel isnt safe and looks terrible.

There was real bad parking. remodel crew was a lot of the vehicles in the lot. Nails every where. At the end where are room was there was alot of remodeling trash every where. THE ROOM WE STAYED IN HAD A STRONG PAINT ODER. The coffee pot had a lid that was damaged prior to our stay. Tv was not working had the young lady come getting started not something we wanted in the morning while getting ready for a funeral. Really unhappy with the one night we stayed out of the two nights we paid for. They just offered another room. Not with all the problems in the parking lot paint smell at a sad time. I would like the one night chages back

Very upset with this location the whole reasoning of me needing to get a hotel was due to plumbing issues at home because of the recent Ice storm after booking and paying online I arrived around 5pm and I was refused a hotel because of the debit card I provided for a $20 incidental fee and I provided a second card was told no I wasn’t able to speak to a manager for some odd reason but a gentleman behind me sitting at a desk area appeared to be a manager for the property let me say this I’ve never had an issue with Candlewood properties using this same exact debit card in Dallas Tx And Bricktown Oklahoma City Location where I book frequently. Due to it being spring break every room I tried to book afterwards for my children and I were booked and couldn’t find a hotel until 10:00pm that night I won’t book with Candlewood because for such a small incidental fee of $20

The hotel was having construction done. ( perfectly fine) I came to check in and they were having system issues with getting my booking as well as many others. Took over an hour to get fixed but nevertheless was situated. I finally get to my room and the cabinet bottoms were chewed up creating a hole. There was splash marks and dirt around the trash cans. I had a toddler with me and his ball rolled under the bed...I reached under and pulled out quite a bit of trash, bottles and receipts dating back to November. I stayed here January 1-3rd. There was hair in the bedding and crumbs under one set of the pillows. I personally will not be staying here any further.

Even though my synchrony bank card was used to pay on Travelocity, they wouldn't take it forthe deposit so i had to go get cash. Another person that same evening i overheard had the same issues.

The hotel was undergoing renovations which we were not aware of. There was construction dust in the hotel hallways. Our room was not cleaned after our first night, bed not made, not replaced coffee packets, etc. The kitchen equipment had some missing items. Definitely would not go there again. This is our second visit to this hotel and this was not a good one.

Comfortable and clean with a kitchenette

Bed was comfortable but it kept feeling like things were crawling on my legs and I couldn't sleep. I checked for bugs but saw no signs in the bed or any bites. Maybe it was the sheets/detergent? I don't know but it kept me from sleeping well. The room was nice. Kitchenette with cooking supplies. The bathroom was very spacious and clean clean clean. The fridge and microwave came in handy to heat up the food I got the night before. Very close to restaurants.

Nice set up with a working kitchen and full size fridge so you could cook which was great. Cleaning staff ignored me when I told them we had a late checkout and knocked or tried to enter the room multiple times while I was still in there. Rest of the staff seemed professional and knowledgeable. I’d stay again.

All in all it was good for the price. Hair dryer didn’t work so we needed to track one down after asking a couple times. Room was clean and comfortable...another poor couple had the tires of their truck slashed the night we were there

room not as clean as I expected

The staff was super friendly and common areas were clean, however, the room not so much. The light switches were dirty, there was hairs on the shower curtain and something black on one of the towels, as well as something crusty on the bed skirt. It did not smell great, but the sheets and bedding were clean and the bed was comfortable.
