The apartment we got was very moldy, and i had an allergy attack within 15 minutes of reaching the property. I had to leave the apartment and got an accommodation at another place. Their bathroom sink was broken, opened a maintenance request , but i got a communication that it will get considered as non urgent. Overall a horrible place. I tried getting a refund, and no luck.

From the Airport to Espoo (Elosamante 2)
Now that Uber is back in action in Finland - use it! The drivers are super friendly and excited to tel you about how amazing Helsinki is, which it is!!!!! Uber does not show 2A, 2B or 2C) It only shows 2..so make sure to tell your driver which building you are in, we were in 2A.
Travel time from Vantaa is about 35 minutes

The Apartment Complex
We were able to quickly get customer service on the phone and they emailed us the door code within 3 minutes. Nice to only have a code to enter your apartment

The Room/Flat
Very tidy for the 2 single bed room we had, the two beds were pushed together to make a queen which was nice for us. All the toiletry, silverware, paper towels, basic body wash dispenser on bathroom wall and cleaning supplies are already there so no need to go buy any. The TV is small but who cares, you should not be spending too much time in your flat except to sleep, shower and go outside! The windows all open up to bring in fresh air which was great, the floors can be heated which is really nice.

The Washer
Was a challenge. The instructions for using it not online or understandable on the single laminated paper they leave in the room. So we washed our towels and hung them by the window. Problem solved.
Location
Close to the new giant megamall they are building in Tapiola Park, it is a 5 minute walk. Shopping, grocery and cafe are located there.
Overall
We will stay here again, we loved it!

Great value wonderful design in quiet spot

The apartment is wonderfully designed, clean, and nicely furnished. Very good value, compared to other alternatives I found near the university. The building is in a very quiet neighborhood, but only 3 mins from bus, 5 mins from a mall, and 10 mins from the metro (via the mall). No coffee shops in the immediate vicinity, though. The only thing I found peculiar is that ine cannot lock the apartment door from the inside (there is only the code lock from the outside). So if someone sonehow discovers your code, they can enter the building and your apartment. This could form a security issue, and I hope the managers would fix that.

The apartment is large, clean, well equipped ( a frying pan would have been nice and the absence of bath soap/shampoo just looks cheap, but otherwise great), and close to a shopping mall and metro and bus stations. Staff, when you get them, were friendly and helpful. But we had two serious issues: first, there is no reception. So when we got there, with phones that hardly work in a foreign country, and the wrong code for the entrance supplied by the place we were stuck outside. not what you want in the rain, after a long flight, lost baggage etc. AND there was no answer at the 24/7 number (we asked people on the street to make a call for us). So we spent a long, uncomfortable and anxious time just waiting to get in. Second - we reserved a place for 3 through expedia, but the room was for 2 - and this, we were told, cannot be changed. So our daughter slept in the living room throughout our stay. This wasn't terrible - they got us a folding bed, but it is not what we paid for and is simply wrong.

We really liked this apartment. It's in a nice location near a mall, bus stop and metro station. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is very handy, and there is a washing machine for laundry. Our apartment on the top floor got a little hot, but that's probably due more to the unusually warm weather.

Nice place close to everything

We chose this location because it was close to family and friends we wanted to visit and staying in a regular hotel can be costly. We were unfamiliar how the door code works but were pleasantly surprised how easy it was to figure out. The code was sent to us as they promised and getting in was easy. The studio apartment was perfect for our needs, it had a full kitchen with a microwave, coffeemaker, dishwasher, dishes, a fridge and cleaning supplies. There was a kitchen table with chairs, a sitting area with chairs, table and tv. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was great, it had a nice shower, a heated towel rack and there was even a washing machine which came in handy. It was nice to be able to make some of our meals instead of having to always eat out. All and all, it was a nice place, great location with short walk to the metro and shopping mall. Walking and bike paths everywhere. Customer service was A+. I will choose this place from now on and will recommend to everyone I know. Loved it!

Clean & Comfortable

Clean and comfortable, with all you could need. Close to shopping centre which has supermarkets, places to eat and a variety of shops and metro station. Takes about 10 minutes to get to centre of Helsinki using the metro. Buses nearby too. Easy to book and quick response to booking. Would recommend and will use again.

Poor customer service

I was assigned a room for which I received a SMS from SATO but the door code didn't work so I called the Forenom customer care who gave me a different room but door code again didn't work.

It was very difficult to connect to customer care number as I needed to call couple of times because of this issue , once it took me 35 mins to get connected.

I was finally told that there was some problem with door code and they activated or fixed the problem and I should be able to access my room.

So I tried again and open the door and saw that there was a old lady already staying in that room. She was shocked that I could access the room and I felt the same that it should not happen that other guests are disturbed or their privacy is compromised.

So I called forenom again and explained this and a new room was assigned, the whole process took around 90 mins from the time I made the first call.

The new management should take care of such issues, this never happened when it was under SATO.

Simple, basic and well equipped.

It was ok. The apartment was very cheap, so in all it was price worthy. The entire access is automised, you get a code for the door and that's it. Very smooth and efficient. The apartment was well equipped (I didn't need allt the utensils and stuff, but there was a dishwasher, washing machine and all). The bad thing was that the bathroom was not really clean and smelled weed and cigarette smoke. The shhets were clean and the singl bed ok, but the pillow and cover were old and clumpy. You get what you pay for, I guess.

Perfect Hotel outside the city..

Perfectly located next to bus lines. So you can get to the city in maybe 15 minutes. So easy...also you can bus to the airport. Grocery store and mall is located 3 or 4 minutes by foot. Rooms are perfect. Always stay here when I am in Helsinki. Will stay again.

Very nice apartment in a town near Helsinki

I found everything as described in the information.
Apartment is very comfortable, fully equipped and faces a small forest.
Beware if you get there by car because parking is not included in the price and it's very hard to find nearby.
I had to park my car about 10 blocks away for 10 euros per night when I wasn't able to find a spot around the building.

The room was well furnished for a family of four, with easy access to local amenties (about 5-7 minutes walk) and a bus stop close by to take a bus to Kamppi in Helsinki. Unfortunately could not buy day ticket in the bus as the driver could not understand English, so had to buy a single ticket and then buy day ticket at Kamppi.
Cons: Shower gel/shampoo in the shower cubicle would have been nice. Also the pans were good but no ladles to use with it.

Overall, good experience, would surely recommend this.

Nice location, purpose built, all amenities

The apartments are well laid, decorated, and complete with all the basic amenities. The bus stop is just a short walk to go to Kampi bus station. Another 5 minutes walk is a shopping mall with a supermarket. Easily accessible to and from Airport as well as Helsinki central, however will need a 'Region' day ticket to travel within all the zones.

Wonderful apartment living in the Helsinki area

SATO HotelHome Tapiola was a delightful experience! The room was just what I wanted - with a washing machine, full kitchen, comfortable bed, and very clean. Using a code for entrance to the building, as well as for the apartment/home was very easy. I felt quite at home here!
This apartment/hotel is located within easy walking distance of three different bus stops. Public transportation is quite easy in the Helsinki area. Many shops and restaurants are also located within easy walking distance.
I highly recommend staying here!

Stylish and comfy.

I went to this hotel room with my 3 year old son. It was lovely, so much better than your average hotel room! However one or two things to bear in mind, if you do go with a child. There is no way to lock the door from the inside. He was able to open it very easily! You might want to empty the drawers too as they are perfect fun for little ones! Finally there is a play park near by!
However the pillows were awful. And I personally felt black out curtains would have been a nice touch. Please be aware that there are no cleaning products or tolitieries included in the room, so you might want to pack some. The buses and also local shops are very close. Overall though a fab little room about a ten minute bus drive to the centre of Helsinki. Deffo recomend it!

Nice cheap big hotel with no staff around

There is no keys, only a passcode. I was not certain at first, and called to make sure. The passcode turned out to be very convenient. We do not need to worry about sharing or losing the keys any more. Though I am still not certain about the safety of that 4-digit code.

I have not see any staff during the whole stay. This is very different from other hotels.
The room is quite okay, clean and big.

Extremely well equipped and comfortable apartment.
Quite close to local centre although there was a lot of building work going on.
Very quick and convenient bus trip FROM central Helsinki but due to the location near the motorway the journey TO central Helsinki could either be undertaken by a much longer walk to Westend bus terminal for the fast bus OR a short walk to a local bus stop for a much longer journey on a local bus route.
The Helsinki Metro extension opens in 2017 which will, no doubt, make access to central Helsinki much easier, if not quicker.

Great place to stay

The studio apartment was spacious and well-equipped with everything you might need. The access code system worked well. There was a little welcome present of very nice filter coffee, milk and tea. The only thing it didn't have was laundry detergent. Shops (supermarkets, Stockmann, fashion and home ware shops etc ) are a 5-minute walk away and there are also many paths for cyclists and walkers. The whole area is undergoing a building boom, so it should be even nicer in the future.
Many buses from Helsinki (5,50 Euro) stop near the accommodation complex, but you have to be quite careful about getting off at the right one (there are no announcements on the buses). It is the second stop after you enter the Espoo area (second stop after the Espoo bridge). There is also another stop close to the hotel, but not as many buses from Helsinki stop there. I used it on the way to Helsinki. The directions on the Sato homepage are very good.

Great Hotel with a catch

This is an amazing hotel, with great rooms, they include everything you need to feel like you're at home. However if you have a vehicle, be ready for either trying to find a free parking spot within walking distance or pay a small fortune to stay in the parkade that is not close.

Very nice apartment-type hotel

On condition that you are OK with (1) door-to-door commuting to Helsinki about 30 minutes with public transportation, (2) no on-site parking lots but public parking lots within 5 minute walking distance, (3) no room service or on-site restaurants, (4) no fantastic view from your room, this furnished apartment-type hotel will be one of the best choices in terms of price and cleanliness. One tip: bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, barsoap, razor, shaving cream, etc., though towels, hair dryer, liquid shampoo & body wash and other toiletories are in order.

Finnish style and all the comforts of home

We had a great stay at the SATO HotelHome in Espoo. It was like having our own apartment during our trip - all of the amenities of home (full kitchen, sheets, towels, kitchenware, stereo and TV), plus free wifi. Location was great too: within 5 minutes of bus stops, a nice mall, and various restaurants. I would absolutely stay in a SATO location again!

Beautifully furnished and clean, this company has spared no expense. The apartments are great with a big, spacious shower and bathroom, a kitchen with everything you could possibly need, a washing machine, seating area and TV. Free wi-fi. Closest bus stop is 5 minutes walk away and the flat is 4.3 miles from the city. A bit out of the way but otherwise perfect.

The apartments are great with a big, spacious shower and bathroom, a kitchen with everything you could possibly need, a washing machine, seating area and large TV. The beds are comfy, but seem to glide apart on the floor at times when you move (double bed better).
And when it comes tothe area, there is actually both supermarkets and a whole shopping centre about 3 minutes away, with banks, pharmacies etc - anything you might need. The only thing is that this area is slightly out of the way (around 10km out of Helsinki). It's quite easy to get back into Helsinki if you just find the right bus stop. They go often and are pretty quick. But you need to prepare yourselves for getting there. Look at Google map. Find your bus stop. Find the bus number. (Buses tend to go from Kamppi bus station). Then, when actually taking the bus, make sure you have google maps open all the time (and not run out of battery like me) because the is no sign saying which bus stop you are at, no voice coming from any speaker and when I tried to ask them bus driver in a friendly manners, I was shouted at and cursed at so I won't makes that mistake again. Unfriendliest man I've met in...a long time.

Sängyn patjassa kuoppa, kapea ja eikä pysy paikallaan lattialla vaan lähtee liukuun liukkaalla lattialla. Myös silloin käntyilee sängyssä. Oikeasti kansainvälisessä keskitason huoneistossa on tarjolla tee, kahvi, sokeri ja maito. Myös yksi annos pyykinpesuainetta. Muutoin huoneisto suht siisti. Koska espoon Tapiolassa on täysmyllerrys eikä kauppaan ole helppo pasta, olisi kiva jos olisi eväsautomaatti tai vastaava vaikka rapussa sisääntuloaulassa

整體來說很好, 地點也算方便, 有少數設備有點問題, 像是抽油煙機等, 但對我們並不是特別困擾, 倒是附近正有大型工程, 所以google map的路線並不適用, 明明距離地鐵站很近, 但第一天我們拖著大行李在附近繞了2小時才抵達, 如果飯店可以預先讓房客知道週邊的狀況及建議的路線就更好了

Uunihella ja pesukoneet löytyivät muiden peruskodinkoneiden ohessa. Sauna jäi kokeilematta. Majoitustila on yksi jakamaton tila, joten vauvan kanssa piti valvoa ja nukkua samantahtisesti. Kesällä huone oli tuskaisen kuuma päivät ja yöt läpeensä, onneksi tehokas ja hiljainen lämpöpumppu puuskutti katonrajassa. Vanhasta villaisesta olohuoneen matosta pitkä miinus, allerginen ystävämme joutui lähtemään kyläilemästä käytännössä heti tultuaan.

Dans une zone commerciale, à 20min à pied du centre d'Helsinki. Un bras de mer est tout proche, idéal pour le footing, mais une grosse rocade gâche un peu la vue ( pas de nuisance de bruit de l'hôtel cependant) .

Ok to stay, some considerations

Everything you need, except parking. Some parking options though not far. Bed linens were not good for hot weather, causing discomfort. Weather had been around 27-30 degrees C that week. Take cleaning requirements into consideration, 250 EUR additional bill might be expecting you.
