Clean Room. Allocated room of choice as have stayed at this hotel many times. Staff always nice and accommodating. Entertainment good and hotel is well positioned in regards to beach, shopping centre and local transport.

This was my 5th visit to this hotel since 2017. Staff on reception (especially Bea and Joni) are very kind and helpful and the restaurant and room cleaning staff are also nice to interact with. Buffett breakfast and dinner had plenty of variety and room was clean and well equipped. Hotel location was right next to the beach and there are plenty of local transport options to other parts of the island. Overall I really enjoyed my visit and would recommend to families and couples.

We've visited Fuerteventura a few times now, and stayed in this area each time.
We usually stay in the hotel next door which is a 5 star, but decided to stay at the Elba this time which is a 4 star, but in all honesty we were not disappointed with our choice.
We did bed and breakfast and the food and options in the morning were great.
The facilities were really nice, great pools and grounds with access to the beach too.
Staff were bang on point, and proper looked after us whilst celebrating a special date for us too.
Rooms were kept clean throughout our stay and the air-con did a great job keeping us cool. There were no towels in the room on arrival, but I went to the front desk after waiting a while for some to be brought to our room and the staff gave me a couple of pool towels to get us through until the towels arrived the next day with housekeeping. No big deal at all.
One thing that was different to other hotels I've stayed in is that we had to pay to use the room safe. €3 Euro's a day, so €21 for the week. I only mention this so you know what to expect before booking or on arrival.
Like I said at the beginning, we normally stay in the 5 star next door, but I will happily be returning here again when visiting Fuerteventura.
If you need a good affordable place to eat nearby I cannot recommend the Fado Rock Steakhouse enough. It's a 10-15 minute walk away. I eat there every night I'm on the island.
The Elba Carlota Beach & Golf Resort is a hotel I definitely recommend.

Property was advertised as a spa hotel in the description .There is no spa on the premises. Also a sauna is advertised again no sauna on site. Only booked my stay here for the spa. RUINED the hole holiday.

This is my 4th time staying at this property and I really love visiting the hotel. I've previously reviewed the hotel, amenities and transport options in detail in previous reviews (see September 2022) so won't repeat here. Suffice to say I thoroughly enjoyed a hassle free couple of weeks in the sun in a nice hotel with excellent staff.

The hotel can be reached in approximately 10 minutes by taxi from the airport at a cost of ~€18. You can also take a local bus (service #3) for ~€2, but it takes a little longer as it serves a number of local towns on route. Guests can access the beach areas via the hotel gardens with a shopping centre (Atlantico Centro Comercial) which includes a large supermarket, also being nearby.

The hotel staff are amongst the best I have encountered at a large hotel. Everyone is pleasant, friendly and very helpful. My room was on the 5th floor, furnished to a good standard and I had no issues with noise and slept very well. I had half board and was impressed by the variety and standard of food which was available at both breakfast and dinner.

In summary, a well-run hotel which I would highly recommend, particularly, for those with young families.

Cruise like feel. Paid for all inclusive but it was limited to very low end drinks. Cocktails were poorly mixed and did not taste great to include the sangria; stick to beer or wine. Very nice servers, very friendly. No sit down restaurants on property, all meals were buffet style. The jacuzzi heat stopped working after the first day we arrived, informs the front desk daily, they replied with the same reply daily, we will submit a maintenance request. Unfortunately, did not get to use during our stay. Good location, next to a mall and the beach. Had good activities for children on the weekend. If your looking for a getaway to spoil yourself or it’s a special occasion, I would recommend a different hotel.

Great stay and would return

I really liked it here, clean and spacious rooms and all the staff are amazing and very helpful. The queue for the lobby bar wasn't great but that was the only negative. The pools were great, as were the daily aquafit classes, such good fun. I liked the food, there are loads of choices so you couldn't go hungry, some of it could have been a bit hotter but I tended to wait for the freshly cooked items i.e king prawns, squid and steak. The location was ideal being right on the beach and a nice level walk into the town. Beautiful sunrises too.

The hotel is on the flight path of landing aircraft, less than 300 feet above. The frequency of aircraft and the noise would ruin our stay, we decided within an hour to leave and find a restful hotel. It is unacceptable this issue is not noted for would be customers, at least so they may make an informed choice

My biggest problem where the flies. We where staying at a hotel before just down the road and there where no flies there. We could not stay by the pool as they where so bad. My opinion is that the floors where not cleaned properly inside and outside. It is such a pity as the staff are very very helpful and the property could be excellent.

Unfortunately hotel is a bit run down. Flies everywhere. Pool is lovely except for flies. Towels need all replacing very old.
Entertainers are excellent can’t fault them.
Food not great / luke warm. Fresh omelettes unfortunately disappointing where they didn’t use spoons to add ingredients used hands with gloves on but got other ingredients in it I didn’t want.

The hotel is conveniently located to the beach, taxi stand, bus stop and to the local mall.

The grounds are very pretty with trees, various plants and flowers which adds serenity to this complex.

The staff are very friendly and we rarely found one not smiling. They all were willing to help.

I will and have recommended this hotel.

Lovely beach front hotel on the outskirts of Caleta De Fuste. Sandy bays directly outside the hotel are beautiful along with a wonderful promenade that runs the length of the resort. The Atlantico shipping centre situated next to the hotel is now full of shops, eateries and a supermarket. There are great shows at the hotel, some by the animation team. The Lion King production was great, well done team. The staff are friendly and helpful, particularly the ladies in the restaurant.

Hotel staff were very welcoming...had to wait a while to get to my room but it was expected as I was early...after that I couldn't fault them...Reception staff helped me with an unconnected problem and were so helpful...I stayed on half board and the food was lovely, great quality and choice of different foods every day was amazing...I was in a standard double room and it was veey spacious and bed and pillows very comfortable definitely recommend this hotel...weather was a bit poor but can't blame the hotel...

Nice clean hotel but lacking in food quality

Food was very average, not always warm and ran out of things frequently. Couldn't get safe until 12 on the day when requested it at 9 ?? couldn't get bed round pool after 9am as towels were on them from before 8am. Nice clean hotel but wouldn't stay again.

I can't begin tellhow disappointed I was with my holiday I had saved all year reviewed and researched hotel I wanted to stay for entertainment for my son.we found when we arrived that we were told they have overbooked and do not have room at this hotel so straight off booking through a reputable company like yourself this shouldn't happen we were told that we were being transferred to sister hotel which I'd never heard of reviewed we protested but were given no option but to accept and manager says he would sort out free return text to airport T end of holiday (which they refused to do later and we nearly missed our flight another fight with them!)so we were moved hotel which was quiet no kids or entertainment for my sons age group totally ruined his holiday and the prices for drinks were scandalous even 4 Euro for water so with drinks we had to have T meals we were way out of pocket and couldn't TY in this hotel at night.the room we got was interconnecting room where we heard 3 three kids scream fro morning to night we moved room again after complaining about this but our holiday was totally spoiled the hotel we k ew had everything we wanted and within budget and entertainment wise we never got to stay and even though hotel we got moved to was meant to be upgrade can't list how many times we were treated with contempt all in all terrible experience and expect hotels .com to do something g about this else u will take matter further and review on all social media outlets my

Location not great, food was horrible

The hotel was far out from the town centre of Caleta de Fuste; the only good thing location-wise was the supermarket nearby, which you can find everything in.
The food was horrible - we were HB and both breakfast and dinner were disappointing - poor variety and quality, not always fresh; in the evenings they would start closing off sections in the dining area and not let you sit there. Most of the times, we had to assemble what looked like a meal to feed ourselves. We were told that bacon is only served two times a week??
The entertainment in the evening and at the pool were not great and most of the evenings there was nowhere to sit in the lobby to watch the show, as it's too small. Once there were a couple of drunks around the pool who started swearing and pushing each other. One of the pools was meant to be heated, but it wasn't.
Regarding the room, we only got the bedding changed once for 7 nights, the floor wasn't being cleaned every day, no minibar.
On the positive side, the staff were nice and friendly.
Overall a 3* rather than 4*.

Quiet Room !

The hotel itself is decent enough (rooms could do with a bit of updating and some of the sunbeds around the pool area are a bit tatty) - would not be classed at 4* in the UK.

However, staff were friendly and attentive and food was of a good standard and plenty of choice (we were half board).

Only one niggle. We requested in advance a \"quiet\" room on a top floor which gets sun in the afternoon. We were allocated a room on the \"3rd floor\" which did indeed get sun in the afternoon, however we were above the loading service area of the hotel and directly opposite the commercial centre and its delivery area so as you can imagine, various deliveries were taking place at all times of the day which did not bode well if you are a light sleeper.

Had to open patio doors for ventilation, 5 o clock bin lorries would turn up under room...very noisy. 7 to 7.30 delivery's very noisy...shame because the hotel, food and staff was brilliant. Also, no British TV programs, but every other nation.

Nice hotel but needs some constancy

Hotel could be great however staff rush you all the time. Eating a clearing tables it's not a restaurant it's a canteen . At the reception there was always an excuse!! For things not working . Cleaning staff just barge in most after 4 pm in my room which still had not been clean! Sometime there with tea bags sometimes not maybe one towel the 3 left. Beds never changed was very disappointed this is a 4* hotel however felt it was a 3* .

The internal part of this hotel was not a 5* standard, I would say it is more of a 3-4* standard. The rooms were not luxurious to a 5* standard. The bathrooms had rust around the bath tub and the towels were paper thin. The food in the buffett was ok, but very repetitive. The external part of the hotel was very nice and I would say that for families this was very appealing. Having said that the staff were excellent and always complied to our requests.

Large hotel in quiet area

Checking in easy and reception helpful the couple of times I contacted them. Large dining room easily catered for the number of guests and it was getting busy when I left on 23rd December. No problem finding a sunbed as the grounds are extensive and there were even spots available near the two pools, one of which was (slightly) heated. Lots of room away from the pool areas to relax in peace. I found the food excellent and I'm a bit fussy and I don't eat fish. Very good large supermarket three minute walk away (exit the hotel side gate,cross the road and your there) which is part of a shopping. & resteraunt complex including ten pin bowling and multi screen cinema complex. The grounds lead directly onto a small beach after crossing a pedestrianised (except for cycle lanes) coastal path which runs into town and beyond. Gym was open from 7am till 11pm sand as I only used a static bicycle was ok. Did notice two spinning bikes in need of repair. Cannot comment on entertainment but was probably par for course, bit of miming and dancing from the animation team. Free WiFi was good and only downer was lack of any decent English channels on tv. All in all an enjoyable stay

Not So Great Food

We really enjoyed our stay, the only problem we had was the food. Each day had a different menu, but the food seriously lacked in flavour. On two separate occasions, we had to go for some McDonald's because the food wasn't good. Also their smoothies were disgusting, I fail to understand why a hotel as great as this, would use horrible tasting orange concentrate instead of fresh orange juice. Another thing I had a problem with was paying for drinks at dinner just because we opted for the half board option, for the amount I'm paying to stay at the hotel, I don't think it's reasonable for being charged for water and soft drinks like I was being punished for not choosing the full board option. Apart from that everything else was great.

Reception and waiter staff helped us locate a lost phone and repair a broken one. Nice hotel with pleasant and hard working staff. Close to beach and shops and short drive from the airport. Hotel rooms are a little dated but all clean, tidy and well presented. Evening entertainment wasn't the best We stayed all inclusive. Plenty of food choices although a little repetitive. I think that is to be expected though given the numbers being catered for. Having said that you wouldn't go hungry. All in all a good hotel at a reasonable price.

Nice hotel with beachfront access to coastal path

Cockroach issue was dealt with. Lovely pool and garden area with direct access to the coastal walkway made this an ideal location for me. Atlantico shopping centre is next door so it was easy to stock up on drinks and snacks for our walks. Free transport to other hotels was good for exploring unknown areas in the locality. The hotel breakfast selection was good quality and plentiful to start the day although I found the evening food ranged from disappointing and dried up some evenings to fresh and well presented at other times like the amazing seafood. I took the advantage of trying some Caleta restaurants for some local cuisine (Fado Rock and the Marina). Some very pleasant staff in the hotel restaurant but some preferred to shout instructions and create a scene unnecessarily making this an uncomfortable experience at times. The offer of a courtesy room was much appreciated but with time limited to only half an hour and nearly ten minutes to access it would have been even more helpful if the time allocation could be extended. I would recommend you leave enough time to check your account/bill because mine hadn't been updated and I had been overcharged. I have already recommended this Elba to friends and look forward to a return visit.

Nice Hotel, enjoyable stay

My sister & I had a lovely stay at the Elba Carlota. Our room was really nice, although we had to rearrange the furniture as our twin beds were side by side like a double!! It would also have been nice to have had a glass screen on our balcony (as some others did) rather than the solid concrete one, as once we sat down we couldn't see anything! But it was still lovely to have a balcony and it was a great shelter from the wind. Oliver on reception was so friendly and helpful when we checked in, although one or two of the other reception staff were ....... well, let's say less friendly. The breakfast & dinner buffets, overall, were fabulous (apart from the soggy vegetables), great variety of food and perfect for a veggie - salad bar was excellent and super-fresh. The waitresses & waiters worked super hard, they were non-stop. Always somewhere to lay at the pool area, although it would obviously be much busier in season (we went in Feb), and just outside the back gate was a lovely beach and a nice little walk along the coast. Sadly the gym was very disappointing, mega squeaky (and therefore unusable) cross trainer, one of the 2 treadmills was broken, one of the 2 sports bikes had a part missing so seat couldn't be altered, and water had run out - it's a nice gym, just needs some care and attention.

Bad experience at Xmas wouldn't go back ! Hi

So we went to stay at the Elba Carlota for Christmas 2016, we had stayed the previous April , the weather was cold and windy for the first 4 days so we were in the hotel quiet a bit. First off the room there was ants on the dresser everyday loads of them. Then Christmas Day we went down for our dinner As per usual and wasn't stopped at the door because my husband wasn't wearing 3/4 length denim shorts the last at the door said he is meant to have pants as we didnt kno that my husband didn't bring any pants only shorts and I asked her what shall we do now and she said we cannot go in we have to eat else where ,as u can imagine that ruined our Christmas night as we were all inclusive so we would have to leave and eat else where , luckily my husband had a tracksuit bottoms that he had travelled over in which looked worse that his shorts he was wearing , what really annoyed me was if he had not got his tracksuit that woman would have left us without dinner that we already paid for when we were all inclusive . There was 2 days they decided not fl clean our room and not even told us! We handed in washing and got it back damp where I couldnt even put the clothing on my 1 year old boy . Food was very repetitive a lot of pork and fish .waiters were really nice and helpful and showed loads of interest the the baby . The entertainment was boring and no one really went . I wouldn't go back there again. I stayed in sister hotel Elba Sara and that was 100 times nice !

Nice hotel with the nicest beach

Picked up from the airport by Urbis ground transport- but they did not bother to arrive for our return journey despite saying they would collect us at 2.40 pm!! - the coach driver was grumpy and rude. Do not use this company - they take your money and run. We tried to call them 2 days prior to our return - they do not answer the phones or the lines are constantly engaged!

Clean room throughout. Staff very helpful (especially Oliver). Food very \"samey\" and not worth an all inclusive basis, as there is a lovely restaurant/bar behind the hotel and the food is delicious/reasonably priced. Spar supermarket 100 yards away to the front of the hotel where you can buy water, alcohol, food etc reasonably. Took the island tour which included stops at Aloe Vera processing plant; goat cheese farm and sites - not much to see as this is the oldest of Canary Islands - it's pretty much barren! Very little rainfall on this island throughout the year, but quite warm for December. If you want to escape Blighty for a couple of days and do nothing, try Elba Carlotta - nice enough for young kids as there are 3 pools.

Day trip to lanzarote worth a couple of hours off the island to inject a bit of life/excitement, as there's not much to do apart from soaking up the winter rays. Would I stay again....yeah, why not, if only just to recharge my batteries!

The stay was amazing, the hotel is very well maintained and clean, staff very friendly and helpful.
Particular mention for the receptionist Asiya who was very helpful and also our room maid called Olivia (or Livia). The staff overall are friendly and helpful.

Amazing hotel with loads of activities

We had an amazing stay in this hotel. Right st the sandy beach, pools, loads of activities all day for kids and adults as well. Animation staff are excellent and hilariously funny. Every night there was a show and all the quality of them were excellent. We had a beautiful room with 2 balconies one looking at the sea and the other one to the pools. Restaurant buffet was very nice loads of choises every day. We only had a little problem with changing towels as we had to ask reception to get it done after it wasn't changed even after the 4th day. But after that they were keep changing it.
In general we had a very good time and we definitely would go back and recommend it to everyone.

Very cold pool.

Cannot fault the hotel, we only stayed B&B so cannot comment on the evening or all inclusive snacks but the breakfast was very nice and had a wide choice. We like eating out and I'd recommend the restaurants called 15 and Fado Rock in the town centre, only a 4 euro taxi away. Only one negative for the hotel was the swimming pools were absolutely freezing, it was nice to see them empty but it's because nobody wanted pneumonia. Everything else was great, check-in, hotel wifi, sunbeds, rooms. Will definitely go back if they heat up the pools.

Lovely place, will go again

We stayed for 10 days. Lovely hotel, nice selection of food. All staff were lovely to my 1yr old daughter, from reception to restaurant to entertainment team. The only problem was that we had to order adult size meals at the pool restaurant for our 1yr old,So I had to eat a full meal and than eat half of my daughters lunch.

Nice hotel very quiet position.

The Hotel was nice and the cleanliness of the room after initial problems was excellent. The food was of a good standard and reasonable variety throughout the week.
The reception staff were excellent, however, the dining staff were extremely stressed during peak periods. Due to this we used to eat as late as possible to miss the crush. It was noticeable how much friendlier the dining staff were at this time.
Not sure who was at fault but we did not receive the sea view room that we had booked. Hotel was completely full, so could not change our room. Hotel did offer an upgrade to all inclusive, which given the lack of eating places close by was a positive.
The Spa in the Sheraton Hotel was excellent and well worth a visit. Also receive a discount on entrance price.

Good hotel next to the beach with good facilities.

Enjoyed 5 night half board stay with my partner in March 2016. Weather was mostly cloudy and windy with the odd bit of sunshine which meant too cold for swimming which was disappointing as the pools looked promising!

Hotel cannot help being under the flight path if you only want 15 minute taxi transfer from airport.

A relaxing stay with good and plentiful food. Efforts were made to vary evening meal with various cuisines each night. Very clean room and hotel areas. Spacious and pleasant. Would stay there again.

Lovely Hotel with very nice food

We had 3 nights at this hotel. We were very happy with the hotel and the food was very good. The location to the beach is excellent. The hotel's pictures do not do it justice. The weather was disappointing but it was the island that disappointed me the most. Having been to other canary islands, and liked them, this one is ugly and boring. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone but not Fuerteventura, unless you just want a complete rest or lying around is your \"thing\".

Nice hotel a few niggles

first impressions hotel was very clean and reception staff efficient. First room was rather cold and dingy asked for a different one and this was ok position bit more sun. Rather a long walk to reception especially when key card doesn't work which happen at least 4 times.

Cleaners good I unfortunately there is a problem with the towel suppliers as often we did not receive clean towels and was told these had not came in from laundry suppliers.

Not the hotels fault but very noisey in morning from the birds and again early evening, planes on certain days very noisey on some mornings.

Had breakfast in hotel which was very good and always got a table without trouble.

Shows in eve were ok, casino is machines, lovely walk along the beach to the shops and restaurants, apart from the road and pavement and beach being refurbished therefore noisey machines most of the day.

Lots of sun beds and a good entertainments team.

Deposit for beach towels which was refunded when returned.

Safe is 3 euros a day.

First time at feurteventra, the hotel had a good position on the beach every thing you could want. We had booked a sea view and they had upgraded us to senior sea view which had a sitting room separate to the bedroom.our overall time at the hotel was very good.
The staff was all very helpful and checking in staff especially Beago.

nice hotel on the beach.

Warm welcome but no refreshment on arrival (we had been travelling since 07.30 and it was now 8pm). Reception explained everything clearly. The room was tired but clean. Hotel is on a flight path but with ear plugs we had no problem sleeping. Balcony looked out onto supermarket wall but turned out to be the perfect sun trap we loved it. We would request this room if we go back.
We only had breakfast in the hotel we wanted to experience the culture so took our evening meal in various locations. Breakfast was not to our usual English taste but yummy anyway.

Lovely relaxing stay - just a shame that our room overlooked a commercial center with noisy lorries early in the morning - but at least we had the sun on our balcony for most of the day & evening. Hotel & staff very good. It is under the flight path to airport but not too noisey

Lovely week in the sun in January, swam in the sea once (coolish) and the outdoor heated pool daily (fine). Loved the junior suite with 2 rooms, 2 balconies, double basin, spa bath and shower too, fleecy bath robes, 2 TVs. All the staff smiled and were helpful.The food (HB) was surprisingly good, and varied each day. My main complaint was the discipline required not to eat too much, and I still gained 2kg.

This was our second time to the ELBA CARLOTA and really can't fault it .
The food is always hot fresh and cooked in front of you, Plenty of choice and caters for everyone.. The staff are hard working and pleasant. The entertainment team are very hard working and try to include everyone to participate in the daily activities and put on some good nightly entertainment.
The hotel grounds are immaculate and kept clean as are the swimming pools. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to family and friends and will definitely be returning next year.

This hotel gets all 5* from an über-fussy me.

I am a demanding, fussy customer and this hotel gets full 5* from me.I will start with few things things I did not like - upon arrival into the lobby at 13.00, saw a sign suggesting check-in is at 15.00, whereas my booking email suggested it was 12.00. View of the room - it felt more like a \"pool view, but you can see the sea\" rather than a \"sea view\". Safe in the room - EUR3/day. We had the full board option, but apparently one non-alcoholic drink at lunch/dinner is not included. NEUTRAL things - something that was not perfect, but was known and expected. Water in the swimming pool - over-chlorinated. Again - as expected - frequent travelers and avid swimmers will know that few pools get it right - it is normally either over chlorinated or over-bio-infested. You want a good pool - go to your local pool. Beach that is 100m away -sandy, but it is all artificial and sand brought by trucks every couple of years. The natural surface is lava/stones as those who will go to swim will find out. Again, this was known and expected. If you want good beaches, then take a car for EUR70/week and drive to Corralejo, Cotillo, Morro Jable, Jandia, etc. POSITIVE surprises came from the people working there - all fantastic, super helpful, super friendly. They did go an extra mile, when I asked them for some things on separate occasions. That is something I did not expect from a \"mass production\" hotel.

The walls between the rooms are a bit thin. Listening to the scraping or shuffling of chairs and tables is a bit disturbing. Otherwise a really lovely and clean hotel with really lovely hotel staff. Very welcoming!!!

Pleasant hotel, quiet location

Nice clean comfortable hotel very close to the beach and small modern shopping mall. Reception staff very efficient and extremely helpful. Large comfortable room, lovely modern bathroom with bath shower and bidet. Food average, ran out of things which were not replenished. Entertainment poor. Ideal for a winters break, one week is more than enough as there is nothing to do apart from sunbathing and walking.

Overall a good one for family holiday.
Friendly and well managed but sometime on the busy time shortage of staff in reception.
Beach can be easily accessed via the back door.
A very good location to reach all the good attractions in island and airport.

The hotel itself is nice enough with a nice unconventional transition from indoors to outdoor with lovely gardens and a short distance to the beach. We arrived at the hotel at 11 and had to hang around until 3 before we got access to our room. The staff at the entry were friendly enough but didn't go above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We also had to change rooms due to bad location overlooking skips and a busy road. Of the 60 TV channels only a handful were English, and they were fashion or news oriented. All films and series were as usual dubbed in Spanish.

The buffet was a big let down for us as vegetarians. Nearly every dish included meat of some kind, even the speciality salads. There were no vegetarian options to the main courses and when I enquired about it I got pointed to some carrots and peas and a margarita pizza and told I could eat them. Aside from that, the food plaques didn't indicate whether or not the dishes included meat, which was very disappointing and I had to try and guess if various sauces and soups were meat-free, which they 95% of the time weren't. The staff at the restaurant didn't understand English and weren't helpful when asking about the food content. Apart from that, most of the dishes were the standard buffet foods with little to no salt or spices, and no water was given with meals.

It was all quite a shame because the location of the hotel and the overall look of it were great, but unfortunately let down by the food and the staff.
