The apartment was clean and towels changed twice in the week, it seems to be halfway through being renovated and sofa bed old which let it down but it didn’t spoil our stay. It was very peaceful and we would return.

So this was our experience. We arrived late on 19th Oct. The woman at reception gave us the key to our apartment and said we’d need to properly check in the next day with our passports. No problem at all. I then asked if we could hire towels to take to the beach, as we have done at other places we have stayed in Fuerteventura. I was met with the dirtiest look imaginable and told, in not so many words, that this was 1 star accommodation and we were not to expect any luxuries. Given the attitude of this worker, we walked to our apartment with some trepidation, expecting our accommodation to be a prison cell. To our surprise, the apartment was fine. Pretty basic but spotlessly clean.

On 22nd Oct, the day before we left, we wondered if there was luggage room we could leave our bags in before our evening flight. We had to deal with the same receptionist who said that our bags could be left in the library room. I commented that this room isn’t secure, which was met with this person looking at me like I’d just crawled out from under and rock and basically telling me to deal with it.

Now I’ve stayed in various places, budget to 5 star. The idea that it is acceptable to talk to people like they are dirt because they're staying in budget accommodation is foreign to me. Customer service skills and being treated with dignity is for everyone.

As I side note, the 2 other staff members I spoke to were fab.

As she said this accommodation is “1 star”, that’s all you’re getting from me.

Absolutely amazing week here with my partner, super accommodating property! Comfy beds, amazing central location making 20 minutes the furthest you'll have to walk to anything! And the pool was absolutely amazing!

Dated but clean, spacious and functional.

The apartment was dated but reasonably well maintained and very clean. When I arrived it was like entering a well built and well equipped apartment in 1980! The kitchen fittings, bedroom wardrobes and bathroom fittings appeared to be original, right down to the 3/4 bath and of course the bidet!

Ok place good size rooms, close to town centre in Caleta. BUT the pictures are out of date, no shop area, a bar that closes at 3.30pm, and if you are not into aeroplanes, the hotel is right below the flight path to the airport a mile or so away so can be very noisy

Great clean base for a holiday

Nice complex, its a little tired looking but it was clean, the little bungalows are great, spacious, clean and comfortable. We didn't have the breakfast so i can't comment on that. The pool is great, freezing but great. We were there the end of march so the pool might feel a bit warmer in the summer months. Its close to the center, takes about 10 mins to walk to the main center and a beautiful beach. If you turn left you're about 4 minute walk to a few great bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again. We paid €17 to have a late checkout at 4pm. Great base

Used the bungalow as a base to tour the island on a motorbike. Friendly and professional staff. Proximity to the airport meant that a taxi costs less than €20, worth bearing in mind as taxis are expensive. The bungalow itself, curiously has both a front and rear door enabling a good flow of air and alternate places to sit during the day. Whilst aspects of the interior were undoubtably tired, such as the kitchen units and bathroom fittings, the interior paint was in good condition and the bungalow was cleaned regularly to a high standard by the domestic staff, limited cooking utensils are available, so easy notes is the order of the day. Swimming pool is huge, quality of the water was very good and disinfected with salt instead of chlorine. There are also some excellent, reasonably priced restaurants and supermarkets within a short walking distance from the development. Unfortunately, there is a considerable amount of work taking place to the front of the complex to improve the roads and drainage which necessities having to (in my case) ride around the block to get back into the car park, a minor inconvenience. Lastly, perfect location for those who ‘spot planes’ because the complex is on the flight path of landing aircraft. On balance, more positives than negatives, worked fir me.

The stuff wasn't helpful at all .
This place isn't family friendly as they didn't even have a highchair for babies .
Any time I asked for it, they said \"I'll speak to my boss \" that was for 9 days .
Really sad .
And also found cockroaches in our apartment in the kitchen and next to out bed . Would come back and wouldn't recommend it either as the food is horrible, no fresh food, everything frozen or caned .
I do appreciate everything in life , but this place is just so much disappointment. Sorry about the harsh words , but this is the truth .

Very efficient friendly check in.Clean appartment. Nice that you now have free loungers on your own porch. Pool lovely but freezing so not used more than once.
Would have liked informing that they were working on plumbing as got covered with gush of black water.
Overall very happy with our stay as convenient for town and bus station and it was a good price and would happily return

We had a great stay here. Basic great value accommodation but has everything you need and has a lovely communal/pool area. Our neighbours were playing very loud music one night until 2am and when we complained the next morning reception promptly sorted it out. Would stay again!!

The stay was very good,that is my second time staying there, well located,beside all bars and restaurants, the apartments are keep clean,all seemed to be freshly painted,and a little modrenised ,they are basic but all we needed,I would have no problem staying there again.staff were very pleasant, came around a lot to clean room, nice big pool,and pool bar, plenty of sun beds, even some at each apartment,handy men keeping the complex looking good

Our bungalow was very tidy and clean and reception was very friendly and helpful. Only a short walk from the centre of the town and the beach. Had fun playing mini-golf and visiting some of the local more traditional restaurants. Very convenient buses to other areas on the island. Paradise Park worth a visit.

We had low expectations because we paid so little, but were generally pretty happy. Basic room but had all we needed and linen and towels were changed regularly. Kids loved the games room, although whichever parent accompanied them usually cursed their luck! Cheap and friendly bar for the adults. Pool was colder than the sea but we anticipated that and brought wetsuits. No oven so had to fry, boil or microwave all our meals but it was still better than most of the fare on offer in Caleta - didn't really find a restaurant offering proper local or spanish food except when we got the bus to Gran Tarajal and went to a proper fish restaurant.

The hotel is in a good location, 5 mins walk to the the centre of Caleta. Rooms are very tired and in need of a refurb. Staff lovely though. Didn't eat or drink at the hotel so can't comment.

great location, nice, quiet and relaxing.

Great bungalows in great location. Could be updated, but loved the idea of each bungalow having own private area outside front door where you can hire 2 sunbeds for 5 euro each from reception and enjoy the sun without moving. Staff great, nothing was a problem. Lovely and quiet and so relaxing, we would have stayed longer if we could. Would 100% recommend these bungalows.

My wife, 7m old baby and I have just returned and while the accommodation is basic, it's excellent value for money. You need to pay for fan, heater, TV etc but we didn't need any of it anyway in November..

It's a short walk to the main restaurants and bars in the area and there are also a couple of decent well stocked shops about 10 minutes walk up the hill.

The pool was pretty chilly in November as its not heated.

We got a crib for junior no problem and the bungalows are a decent size for a couple with young kids. There is also decent ramp access.

Basic apartments, beach a building site

Not the fault of the apartments, but if you're thinking of going here bear in mind that the (artificial) beach at the resort is undergoing major and slow work and looks dreadful. Find out if it's completed or go somewhere else. The apartments are in very well-tended grounds, have what you need and are generally clean and designed so that balconies are not overlooked. The pool is good. Location is good (whereas the properties up the hill are dreadful). However, the pool bar and games room is below basic and the apartments are old and tired. Also our apartment had friendly cockroaches in the bath if we forgot to leave the plug in. Not the flatmates you would choose.

Chill out, affordable bungalows

Bungalows are very clean, friendly staff. reasonably priced. Nothing to dislike. Many people stay for over 1 month and repeat visitors every year. I have stayed here a number of times and cannot fault it for the price, relaxation and the staff. The pool is fresh water and large.

Good location, 10 mins by public bus from the airport to Caletta's bus terminus then 5 mins walk, only 1.4 euros. 10 mins walk to the beach and restaurants. There is a supermarket and a few bars 5 mins away. The complex does need a lick of paint, literally and metaphorically(they were doing this during my stay)but it is nice and clean. The full English breakfasts at the pool bar (0800-1000)are excellent and good value at 5 euros.

Another lovely 10 days spent at Fuertesol Bunglows. We stay here twice a year. The bungalows are well located to the commercial centre and the beach.
The rooms are basic but always clean, with the whole complex well maintained. A nice quiet, relaxing place to stay.

I booked last minute to go away with my daughter. I was pleasantly surprised the reception staff were first class very helpful rooms clean as was pool area. Very close to town nice easy walk. All in all a lovely stay and would definitely return.

cheap stay with all basic facilities

we are family of 3 and half . when we arrived to hotel was i guess before 12:00 afternoon. straight away i did check in. that was quick service. i paid extra 10€ for fan (weekly cost and on chek out they are giving back 5€) u can get some extra facilities if you want . Our bungalow was on the road side and bit far from swimming pool which was perfect for as. my 3 years old daughter could run easily outside without any worries . bungalow was so clean no sign of any insects only one spider which wasn't harmful so we left it . cleaning service was provided every 2nd day. fresh bedding and towels. even they set up my private pillows and huge scarf which I left in hurry on bed. and other than that nothing was replaced . i left plastic bag with rubbish on side of chair (didn't know where is bin) and they took it to .lovely. at night was quite. in case of theft i was closing all windows at night and i keept all important stuff with me close to bed. it was bit difficult because of hot nights. something which I didn't like was smell inside but once we aired was ok. Other than that i didn't like swimming pool with smoking sels who was throwing it to water and didn't bother that you have kid and they keept smoking . anyway we was using swimming pool only 2 times. was better on beach and natural. market was at Tuesday and Saturday. nothing special like for me and woman who was selling owl bag was rude with my husband lol . they like negotiations with prices :)

Straightforward basic accomadiation

The bungalows are basic but good value. Staff are friendly. The pool is fine as is the pool bar. Located just over the road or under the underpass from the centre of Caleta. Just the right distance away from the centre.
I'm a single traveller who looks for basic accommodation at good value.

This is our second visit to the bungalows and we really enjoyed our stay once again. We will return.

These are good basic accommodation with everything you need.

Pool bar is good for a quite drink a light bite.

Staff are lovely and work hard.

Location is fabulous, quite and close to beach and town.

Tips: get a taxi from the airport (€12), Hire iron/hairdryer (€5 each which you get back), Happy hour is 2-3 & 9-10, eating out - Lins, Fado rock, 15, Wild West. Hyperdino supermarket is fantastic and has everything you need for cheap. Bring a light jacket/cardigan as it gets breezy at night.

Celete is a really nice place for a chilled out holiday. We wil be back again soon.

As you'd expect with lovely staff

You get what you pay for. I only wanted a basic room and that's what I got. Of course it could do with modernising but has been well maintained and kept very clean. Staff were really friendly and super helpful and the beer was cheap - spot on! A good ten min walk from the main bars so nice and quiet. Oh, you will hear planes overhead but it's worth putting up with a few seconds disturbance for the shorter transfer: less travel time, more holiday!

First time in Fuerteventura

My husband and I booked in Fuertesol mostly based on the very good price offered, but on arrival we were pleasantly surprised! The apartment was clean and comfortable. They provide everything needed to cook in your kitchenette and bedrooms have a huge amount of storage. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the location is right beside the town, and thankfully at the bottom of the hill! The pool is nice but cold, which was welcomed on occasion. We had no problems what so ever while staying in this complex and would definitely return!

El apartamento se nota que es bastante antiguo, necesita alguna mejora. De limpieza más o menos, colcha de la cama, mesas de noche y cabecero con manchas.
Es ideal para los que vamos a estar la mayor parte de la estancia fuera de ahí.

Siamo arrivati e tutto intorno alla struttura stanno trapanando e rifacendo la qualunque (ma non è di certo colpa della struttura in questione).
Arriviamo, ci viene assegnata la stanza, entriamo ed avvertiamo fin da subito un odore terribile di chiuso e sporco. Sul tavolo non era possibile poggiarci nulla, era appiccicoso e lasciava le mani nere al passaggio, idem per le “sedie”
Arriva il bello perché iniziano a saltare fuori blatte (loro che chiamano cucarachas) da ogni foro, lampada, scarico e finestra. Il giorno dopo, tornati da un escursione, andiamo a parlare alla reception della situazione a dir poco imbarazzante e ci viene proposto un cambio camera (che abbiamo prima visionato per poi constatare che era meglio tenerci la nostra visto che avevamo comprato i detersivi e l avevamo già pulita da cima a fondo). Chiediamo comunque una pulizia da parte della struttura per il giorno seguente ed accettano la richiesta.. rullo di tamburi… non è mai venuto nessuno a fare NULLA. Il “villaggio” cade a pezzi, piscina e lettini vergognosi. Siamo ragazzi e ci piace anche adattarci ma questo è stato veramente troppo. State alla larga.
