We had amazing views, we appreciated free parking, the room we had was a bit too small & made it a little hard to move around and the pillows were pretty non-existent. We asked for more pillows to try and have substance to them and the bed wasn’t very comfortable.

This would be a great boutique hotel to honeymoon at. We really enjoyed our stay. Fresh baked goods and smoothies/juices were offered daily to us. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal to start the day. Easy walk up to town or for a small fee they will give you a ride in the hotel land rover. I would highly recommend this peaceful hotel with amazing views.

Good variety of foods at breakfast. Very slow toaster that only takes 2 slices at a time leaves guests waiting around. Serving spoons/tongs were being mixed up for eggs, potatoes and sausages and meats were touching cheeses which is off putting if you are vegan/vegetarian/religious diet. No water cooler in the communal lounge space seems very mean considering in the rooms guests are encouraged to refill the glass bottle provided with water from the tap since it’s such good quality.

What a delightful experience! The hotel has a very chic decor yet gives a homely feel. All the staff was extremely polite and helpful…to us that was the standout factor. We were able to book the spa easily every day and it felt like a private spa experience. The food at the restaurant was excellent, so is the breakfast. The view is what I had always imagined quintessential Swiss. Premium pricing for sure but worth every bit! Highly recommend…

I LOVEEEE this hotel! I wish my husband and I stayed longer here. We were on our honeymoon and we were doing a Eurotrip. The location is incredible. Once you step outside, you see the alps and all in its beauty. The hotel is also really nice. We loved that they had free breakfast every morning and it had GREAT selection. Staff was super helpful and attentive. We got lost taking our train to get here and we got here at like 12am and the staff that was at the front desk was SOOO nice and accommodating especially the hectic travel we had. Some might not like the uphill walk to the downtown area but loved it and thought of it as exercise! They also had spa and we tried out the 5 course meal they had during dinner in the hotel. Everything was exceptional. My husband and I promised that we would come back here and I honestly can't wait! 10/10 one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in.

Friendly staff. Quite a walk to the station but they provide shuttle service for a fee. You can also take a bus to the station just infront of the hotel but with big luggages it’s better to arrange the shuttle service. Overall stay was great.

Lives up to the hype

Excellent boutique hotel in a great area with incredible views. My sister and I stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. All amenities were top notch and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding and the spa was such a treat. The complimentary laundry facilities were so appreciated as we had been travelling for some time before our stay at the Glacier. Overall, I would not hesitate to return.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel ! The staff were all extremely helpfully and friendly ! The massages were great and the masseuse went out of her way to help my husband with his lower back issues. We both loved the spa room with sauna, steam, hot tube and waterbed relaxation area was amazing !we will definitely be coming back ! The only thing we would say we wished the dinner/lunch menu had more food choices ! The breakfast included in our stay was outstanding !

Would highly recommend this hotel. It is located in a fantastic spot, close to shops and restaurants. A bus stop is right outside which takes you to the terminal where you can access cable cars and trains, and the bus also takes you to the main areas for shops and restaurants. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A lovely spa with amazing views is also available for guests to use. The rooms are clean and the one we had was a very good size.

Beautiful property. The room was spectacular, highly recommend upgrading to a room with a view of the Eiger mountain, well worth it as it is breathtaking. Service was spot on, very attentive whenever anything was needed. Restaurant and bar are very nice albeit extremely expensive. Note that the hotel is about a 10 minute very uphill walk to the main village. Would be 5 stars if they had a pool, spa and more equipped gym. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay

We absolutely loved everything about this hotel and will definitely stay here again. Very hard to fault!
1. Rooms were super comfy, stylish and modern.
2. Excellent buffet breakfast
3. Outdoor heated spa is divine looking out to the mountains
4. beautiful cosy lobby with picturesque backdrop
5. Only 5-6 min walk to the main town but can also take the bus which comes complimentary with the hotel.

The property grounds are beautiful! Access to the day spa is a big perk as well as the included breakfast (which was delicious). I was surprised that there was no mini-fridge or mini bar in the room for the quality of the hotel. With that being said, the bar downstairs was great for a cocktail in the evening. Can’t beat the view!

Better avoid a comfort double room

Agreeing with other reviewers that the service of this hotel is great. Everyone was nice. The restaurant serves very good dinner with friendly and attentive staff members. The free laundry (washing and drying) is also handy and rare for a 4-star hotel.

We did not get the good rooms as described by other reviewers in a supposedly special trip. Our comfort double room (the last room we could get hold of, which is quite expensive compared with other hotels in the area) has got no balcony, no view, facing the car park and road on the 1st floor (which is actually on the same level as the road and can have quite frequent traffic noise in the morning). I understand that this is a small hotel with only 28 rooms and usually fully booked. There is really not much thing that the very helpful staff members can help. I appreciate their attempt to help though.

Overall the hotel is excellent! It is new, clean and stylish. The room with a balcony is excellent, facing the lovely scenery. Just a minor suggestion for the bathroom, due to the open design, the water easily spilled out if using the shower rain. The hotel restaurant is great too, the only thing is the soup of the week, our comment was ignored when we told the waiter that it was very salty. Anyway, I would
recommend this hotel when you plan to stay in Grindelwald.

Where do I start? This was my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The friendliest staff, most gorgeous property, it exceeded my expectations which I didn’t think was possible based on their website. Ask for room 105, it had the largest patio with swing! The town is charming as hell and idyllic for down time or snow activities. The breakfast spread that was included was grand as ever, mimosas and a huge array of cheese, meat, breads! I can’t wait to come back, everything was worth the charming town and visit. Plus the spa was out of this world. It’s a smaller hotel but it never felt crowded. I traveled alone and miss it terribly already. Dominque you were so attentive each morning I MISS GLACIER!

We loved everything about this property and our experience! We arrived to a jawdropping view from our balcony and the most romantic setting for a Switzerland getaway! The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed from the start. We loved the outdoor spa and sauna rooms, happy hour, modern and sexy decor, amazing backdrop of Eiger, easy access to hiking trails, unbelievable view from our room, delicious breakfast spread and accessibility to downtown and trains. I HIGHLY recommend this lovely hotel. The value was beyond my expectations. I booked for myself and a friend to enjoy a nice little weekend away and we were both over joyed with the stay. The reception was warm and knowledgable, the staff was incredibly helpful and fun, the room and all the ammenitites were very clean, comfortable and styled perfectly (cozy bed, sheet AND pillows, which I am picky about;))...
We also ate dinner at the restaurant and were so happy we did! The menu was beautiful and the food was full of lovely flavors that were blended perfectly (leek, celery, apple soup with pea tendrils and cream cheese croutons?! Yum!...and, for meat lovers, the crispy Pork Belly with port wine jus, was melting in my mouth too.)
While mentioning dinner, I can't forget the lovely breakfast buffet that lacked nothing (mimosas were for the taking!;)), with a view of the Eiger to start the day.
There is also an outdoor hot tub, with a sauna, steam room and waterbeds. It was a great way to end a hike in the alps, of which there are plenty to choose from and the front desk was very knowledable.
I would highly recommend this hotel as a friends getaway, romantic weekends, or as a solo traveler. All aspects of this newly opened hotel are very thoughtfully detailed and you can feel the passion they put into their craft here.
I can't wait to come back.

Family-owned exceptional value boutique hotel

We stayed here in the off-season. The staff was exceptionally pleasant, well trained and quick to respond to any of our requests. The guest rooms and common areas are meticulously cleaned each day and are warmly decorated with intense but complementary colors. The entire ambiance works to make you feel comfortable and rested. Quiet, off the busy streets but a short walk to stores & shopping. Work-class, spectacular views of the mountains!

This place is amazing. Recently renovated top to bottom - high end fixtures and very nicely done - very clean. The staff were very friendly, attentive and helped us with excursion plans - definetly boutique type hotel service. I took a peek in the kitchen - you would believe how nice and clean it was - breakfast was included and very good - homemade croissants that melt in your mouth. The backdrop is awesome with a great view of the mountains and valley and you can hear the river runnng in the distance. Definitely a 10 out of 10 for me.
