Eiger Lodge Chic has clean, spacious, modern, comfortable rooms and overall has a nice, fun, attractive ski lodge feel. It is located within a 2 minute walk to both: (1) Grindelwald Terminal train station, which is connected to the Gondola to Mannlichen and excellent upper hiking areas, and (2) Grindelwald Grund station, which serves the scenic cog railway to Kleine Scheidegg - for more hiking and access to Wengen and Lauterbrunnen. For us, the perfect location. Also, very easy bus ride into main Grindelwald town up the hill with many restaurants (hotel provides free bus passes). Great views of mountains without mobs of tourists found in central Grindelwald. The Eiger grill restaurant had good food and atmosphere. Hotel had excellent breakfast. Check-in and check-out people were super friendly, efficient, and helpful. Perfect hotel for us. We would definitely return.

it is one of my favourite accommodation of my trip. the staff area so nice and it is next to the cable car station and could assets to the train station via the cable car station. I love the balcony with an amazing view of eiger mountain. there is a microwave at the breakfast area and it would be great to heat the food at the balcony of the room. the only thing I would suggest for improvement is installing a door at the bathroom. I would recommend to stay here instead of staying in the centre of Grindelwald.

We had a wonderful two nights here. We loved the bedding and our son loved the bulk bed. I love that the toilet and the shower room are separated and spacious. Breakfast was amazing. The location is just right next to Grindelwald Terminal station where there’s Coop, shops, restaurants, trains, gondola and bus. Taking the bus was free with a guest card. I’ll stay here again!

Setting, convenience to train station and the courtesy of the employees was unparalleled. It is a very, very basic hotel (again with great fuse if you select the correct room) but was undergoing refurbishment with a lot of construction work and machinery going on just a few feet away from our room/view making it currently less than desirable. This would have been OK if we were notified in advance and the price reflected this but that was not the case. I imagine once the work is completed, it will be huge improvement to the facilities and a great property.

The architecture and decor seemed a bit industrial to us at first, but we quickly settled in and were quite comfortable. Staff were very helpful despite the construction onsite, and the location was ideal, just a short walk from the gondola terminal that took us up the mountain towards Jungfraujoch. The view from our room was obstructed, but walking outside revealed spectacular mountain scenery in every direction.

I reserved a room with a view and paid more, but the view is completely different from the their photos. A building under construction a few yards away from my window blocked outside view and I had to close the curtain all the time. The staff at the reception denied the change of room and the payback the amount for view. They are cheating.

This was a nice hotel. There was construction going on so a bit noisy. Staff at breakfast and in lobby were nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Located near a gondola and had a coop (grocery store) within 100 meters or so. Also very close to the train station. A walk up the hill to the main area of town but there’s a shuttle that comes by on the half hour.

We knew in advance that the hotel was under heavy renovation/construction, but this did not detract much from the stay. The worse (?) was that the panorama of the Eiger N wall from the balcony was somewhat marred by a construction crane (see photo) - not a big deal. We found room to park at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was great. The room is nicely furnished. One small fault: not enough power outlets around and just one USB outlet. And confusing light switches that operate on a delay and take time to master. The price is high, but so are most prices in Grindelwald

Amazing place to stay, definitely recommend the balcony view. Staying in Grindelwald to experience Mother Nature in its true form, especially the location of this lodge. Lodge is right next to terminal so accessibility was amazing. Lots of fresh items in breakfast however too many flies during summer season but that seems to be a norm in Switzerland.

Room was very clean and that was best thing about it. Room was supposed to be air conditioned-it was not. Beds were not comfortable and room was stifling hot. Towels were barely big enough to qualify as a bath towel. Breakfast was good and the Grill Bar associated with the hotel was good too.

This hotel was absolutely lovely for our stay in grindelwald. Prices were cheaper than other hotels from our experience looking however nothing is cheap in Switzerland. Room was stunning and comfortable and had amazing views of the mountains. Breakfast was delicious and locally sourced food, and the toilet and shower in the room was superb.

Just a 5min quick walk from the Grindelwald Terminal (be mindful that this stop is one before the train final destination and this stop is called Terminal or Grindelwald terminal) and easy to navigate from the car parking area. Our check-in was smooth and big thank you to the person who happily accommodated us with early check in. Coming to the rooms, they are the best with excellent Mountain Views and crystal clean rooms. They had an excellent free breakfast(I’m not sure what else folks are expecting though) which is much needed in Switzerland given everything is so expensive and one could easily save 15CHF/person. I’d highly recommend for any couples or families with kids. This is just 5mins away from Grindelwald village and if your plan is to visit Jungfrau via cable car(Eiger express) this hotel is the way to go as the cable car starts right from Grindelwald terminal station and is just a few steps away from this hotel.
If we ever come back to Jungfraujoch region, we will stay here again with zero regrets!

I booked this stay for my birthday and the staff surprised me with a postcard and sweets the morning of. Everything was very clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed was super comfy and the train station is close-by. I must comment on the toilet, I’ve never come across a toilet with such a powerful flush and the shower was lovely. An Elevated Hostel Experience
We stayed in the chic side of the lodge, which is a slightly elevated hotel room rather than a hostel. It was not luxurious but it was clean, quiet and roomy with a lovely view of the mountains. The breakfast was simple. It is not located in the village of Grindelwald but with the free bus pass, it is easy to get back and forth. It is next to the Terminal which is great for getting the train and the Top of Europe cable car. Overall, it was good for us but might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
