The rooms are nice and turned daily. The staff were helpful and attentive. They offer daily breakfast which was good. Located right next to the bus stops if no rental car, without many uphill walks from the train station or from the First gondola. There’s parking available if you have a rental vehicle.
When we come back to Switzerland a 5th time, this is where we will stay again.

Stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed it. We had an apartment just off the main building with a private bedroom, a large bed, and a single bed in the living area. The kitchenette was well-equipped for simple meals.

Breakfast was excellent — fresh breads and great coffee — and there’s always hot coffee available downstairs. The staff were friendly and very accommodating.

Location is perfect: about a 10-minute walk from the main station, 5 minutes to Grindelwald First, and a grocery store right below. The furniture and key system are a bit dated, but overall, I loved my stay and would happily return.

Great stay in grindelwald

A little pricy for this 3 star hotel

Location from train station is close to 15 mins walk while pushing the luggage, however, it’s very near to Grindelwald First.
Reception leaves by 9pm so if you need anything, no one is around to help. The housekeeping forgot to leave packets of body soap/ shampoo after cleaning our room. Breakfast is good though.

Very clean and cozy apartment. Excellent location. Right in front of bus stop to Bodmi Arena where we have ski lessons. Also 1 min walk to Buri Sports for our ski equipment rental

Staffs are very helpful and there is a small supermarket just downstairs and close at 7pm. Stunning view from the room since there is just a mini golf course in the front and no building hiding the beautiful view, lovely balcony which allow you to chill and enjoy the lovely view.

This hotel is right in the middle of Grindelwald. The views from our balcony were superb. The only down side was the street noise at night. We left the window open to bring air in the room which didn’t help to muffle the noise. But it’s a sacrifice you make for the views.

We stayed in an apartment suite. Location is great, near train station and grocery store. Breakfast was really nice. Agnes, you are amazing! So friendly and helpful, went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable.

Things we didn't like: The silverware drawer really needs a good cleaning. The location of the room faced an alley and the patio. The patio got extremely noisy and there were frequently guests smoking which went right into our room.

What a fabulous little hotel!

What an absolutely fabulous little hotel. It may be rated as 3 star but it felt much better then that to us! The view of the Eiger and Monch from the balcony at the front is nothing short of stunning, but the main thing that sets this hotel apart is the service. On the day we arrived (14th May), the lovely girl on reception (didn't get her name) could not have been more helpful. We were having an early start the next day to Jungfraujoch and asked if we could perhaps have a breakfast tray brought to our room the night before as we would otherwise miss breakfast. She arranged a fantastic picnic lunch for us including sandwiches, fruit, snacks and even a coloured hard boiled egg!! What fantastic service. Don't expect a 5 star hotel, but do expect a fantastic, quaint, comfortable hotel with wonderful service and fantastic value for money. I highly recommend this hotel.

My mom and I stayed here for a few days and didn't want to leave! Room was very clean and updated. Easy walking distance from train and beautiful view of the alps from the window/balcony.

Breakfast is delicious! Lots of options to chose from, delicious meats, cheeses, bread, yogurt, etc. Agnes, the hotel manager was very sweet and accommodating. She truly went above and beyond during our stay and we are so grateful for her hospitality.

Killer views of Eiger and a good overall value.

Great location, with the bus stop right across the street and many restaurants within a short walk. The tram station for the First recreation area is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. If you're going to Grindelwald, I high recommend that you spend a day at First. Lots to see and do there with some incredible mountain and alpine meadow views.

This hotel was clean, the rooms were decent sized, and the staff was very friendly. If you stay here, be sure to get a room on the front side of the hotel that faces the main street. All of those rooms have a good sized balcony and they face directly to an unobstructed view of the Eiger mountain and of the mountains all around Grindelwald. Like many European hotels, there's no A/C, so you need to sleep with the window open, which adds some street noise, but not at level to where you would say it was annoying (and things got pretty quiet around 11:00 PM)

If you don't get a room with a view, there is also an outdoor patio that offers the same view and is a common area that can be used by all guests (nobody used it when we were there). Tables and chairs are available on the patio. Oh yeah, there is a market directly below the hotel on the ground floor, which is really convenient.

The only negative for this hotel is that the breakfast that is included is terrible. Embarrassingly bad with just a limited selection of food with marginal appeal. Nothing hot available

We enjoyed our stay here and will stay there again if we come back.

Amazing hotel and staff

We had an amazing stay. Our view was great and so was the owner of the hotel. She is so hardworking, caring, and courteous. We would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was yummy (boiled eggs, bread, croissants, cereal, juice, fruits, yogurt, tea, coffee, milk, and dressings). We thought the breakfast was good and fulfilling.

The location is also a plus since it is a 5 minute walk from the station and 5 minute walk from Grindelwald First.

The hotel is secure and you need a card to enter after hours.

Negatives: I can't think of much except that there is no iron in the room but this is standard unfortunately for all hotels in Switzerland. There was also no safe but to tell you the truth, I trusted the owner so much that I didn't worry. She even let us store our stuff in the closet downstairs after we checked out to give us an opportunity to go see grindelwald first before we left. She is amazing.

In winter, the practice slopes for children and beginners start right in front of the hotel. Over the last few years, we have renovated the hotel step by step and we are now classified as a 4-star superior hotel.
