The hotel was in a convenient location to a variety of restaurants and attractions. Although the nearest metro station was closed for repairs, the next station was easy to walk to.

Pretty great stay. The rooms are superb, especially the mountain view ones. The beds are super comfy, the staff are lovely, and the hotel is in a good location for getting around. The only negatives were that the breakfast selection was a little disappointing, and if I was to choose my own soap, I probably wouldn't go with mint. All in all it's a great place to stay and I would happily stay here again!

Roadworks outside the property right under our window. Work started one night at 2am. And carried on through the night. We had the window closed and could still hear it. The hotel did not inform us of any works but when i raised it said there had been works going on salzburg for 12 months. There was no offer of a room change or any apology for the terrible experience we were having. No in room tea and coffee facilities so every time you want a drink its 3 euros 90 for a tea! A disappointing stay

Loved being able to borrow an umbrella on a miserable rainy day! Room is small but perfectly formed, only thing lacking for me is a kettle with tea and coffee facilities! Good location close to bus links to get you to the airport and Halstatt. Old town is not a long walk either!

The property is well kept and staff were available at all times to answer queries. There was an issue with the size of the room on night one and no compensation as the hotel believe that Expedia misadvertise the size but they moved us to a King sized room (as booked) for night 2 and this was a lovely stay. I would recommend calling them before to confirm the size of room if 2 adults sharing.

Great location, comfortable and clean room and helpful staff. Only issue we ran into was a bit of an interrogation about wether we had paid for the breakfast on our last day because the front desk didn’t give us a receipt after we paid; other than that great stay. Would book there again.

The hotel interior design downstairs was beautiful and that’s what made us pick it over others. What let it down was the lack of amenities for the price we paid. It was €208 euros for a double room with breakfast for 2 people for one night. There was no tea and coffee in the room. The room was clean and modern but basic. No iron and ironing board in the room to use, you have to get it from reception. There was only hair and body wash in the bathroom, no hair conditioner. I wouldn’t have minded so much that these things were missing if it was cheaper but for the price we paid I expected these to be provided. We stayed at the Radisson hotel for 3 nights before this one in Zurich which was cheaper and provided much more. We even had our own kitchenette. I wouldn’t stay here again for the price, maybe if it was cheaper.

This is a sub standard compared to all hotels in the area at this price range. (I stayed at dozens already). Indisnt have breakfast (extra 16 euros). Othwrwise highly recommended for comfort, as well as easy check in and out.

We were disappointed with our stay here. We realize this is a budget hotel, but simple things could make an improvement. Firstly, the name indicates it’s near the Mirabelle area, and it is not. It is a pretty far walk and the neighborhood does not feel safe, especially after dark. The room is in need of some updates, especially the pillows! They were awful- lumpy, flat and smelly. The bed very hard and the sheets thin. The towels were fine. Only one trash can in the bathroom , none in the bedroom. The staff was friendly.

Pleasant hotel overlooking the river in central Salzburg and only a 5 minute walk from the railway station. Room was comfortable. Hotel a short walk away from the train station. If you want a room with a view try to ask for river view (even in the notes) - as as you can see the “city view” wasn't all that. About a 10-15 minute walk from old town down the river. Staff friendly at check in.

Not Very Understanding of Covid Issues
I came down with Covid and had to cancel the entire trip to Austria and Germany. I did my best to cancel everything, but forgot about this hotel. I contacted them and hotels.com and explained I came down with Covid. The hotel wanted medical proof. I work for a medical device company and they gave us home tests. I took the test, tested positive and threw the test away. I explained that I knew it was my fault for forgetting to cancel, but the hotel insisted on a medical document. I did not expect a full refund, but they decided not to give me ANY refund and blamed hotels.com and said if I booked through them they could have. I had help from hotels.com and they said it was completely up to the hotel, not them. In the end they were not even human enough to understand that we are all going through a lot right now. I lost money on the whole trip and just asked them to be thoughtful and give me some type of partial refund. I hope none of the people that I dealt with at the hotel have anything like this happen to them and if they do get covid, someone is understanding of this.

The hotel is nice and the lobby looks great, but the room was quite small, the smallest we’ve stayed at in Europe. Other than a small table and extremely small bedside tables, there is nowhere to place things, it’s just hooks and hangers, so we ended up having to pile everything in the cubby area. It just felt cramped and difficult to maneuver in the room. We also had problems with the air conditioning, either it couldn’t keep up with the warm temperatures or it wasn’t working, but it got very hot and musty smelling during the day, even though the air was turned on. For the price, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Seems like it’s a little far from Alstadt but there are buses close by and actually the walk is quite nice, sometimes there are stalls by the river if you cross over. I would expect cleaning to have taken place by this time and the do not disturb to be complied with. It was however very clean when I arrived.

We stayed here for the night as part of an Austrian road trip. The hotel is easy to find - right on the river bank - but be aware parking is limited. We parked on a nearby side road but that's obviously not ideal.

As a whole hotel is great and very clean. It would be better if there was a kettle in the room to make tea. Check in was too slow, and for some reason not every staff member could use the computer which was annoying. Room was nice. Bed comfy. Good value for money. We loved basically everything about this hotel. Very convenient location near the main train station and then a 15-20 minute walk along the river to the old town. The room was great, and we had an amazing view of the river. We were only there for one night so it was important to be near the train station so the only thing I would say is that someone staying longer may want to be closer to the old town to avoid having to walk as much. The staff was friendly, the beds were comfy, and the rooms were sound proof. Literally no complaints from us!

Very nice property in Salzburg. It is new, clean and comfortable. It is also a 15 to 20 minute walk to the center of Salzburg. While it is quiet, the immediate neighborhood does not offer much. Parking was expensive and a bit challenging to locate, but it was secure, which was an asset.

Great hotel in a great location and really good value for money....but shower drain was blocked, I informed reception at check out (we didn’t arrive until 23:30 so didn’t know about it until just before we checked out) and was thanked for letting them know. Shame I had to mop up the bathroom and neither myself or my partner were able to have a proper shower, if I was in their shoes I would have offered some sort of compensation but unfortunately I was not offered anything they just took my money.

Poorly Run Hotel. One of rooms did not get cleaned and staff wouldn't do anything about it. Another guest parked in our parking space (which we payed for) and again staff refused to help. Particularly the manager, Razana Mohideen, was unprofessional and rude to my family. Do yourself a favor, choose another hotel.

Nice hotel on the river, but it borders a not so nice street. We picked this location because it's about a 10 min. walk from train station . Make sure to request a river view room because we were put in a room facing a street with construction going on. After I complained, she did move us to a river view. It's about a 15 min. walk along river to old town Salzburg.

It was superbly value for money. I requested a room by the river and they did arranged for me. The view from my room was superb, river, untersberg mountain. The room was designed in a cozy fashion, room and toilet was sparkling clean! Definitely will stay in Motel One again whenever I travel to Europe!

Well located hotel with lovely staff
Room was clean and comfortable. Extractor in bathroom didn't seem to work. A cupboard would have been nice but there were enough hangers, plus shelves. Breakfast was good and Carlos at breakfast and Talia at Reception were superb. Slight confusion over whether breakfast included or not but that was not their fault. Check in was quite slow with only one person on the desk at the time.
