However this hotel is located on route of a hill, unless you take a taxi it quite a bit of a hike to walk up from the nearest subway station. Other then that, great hotel! The bedding had tears in it that they mended. There was stained blotches of blood on the sheets and comforters that looks like it can't be washed out. The carpet was smelly and was stained throughout and the upholstery was also super stained.
The A/C was broken when we were there and the room registered at 89F and the fan can't keep it cool even with the window (cracked open, that's as far as it will open)

The room was very comfortable and the staff were efficient. The property is located at the top of a hill, so if you're walking over from a station with luggage, just be aware of some incline and stairs :)

Relatively close and easy to get to from busan station. A little uphill if you find stairs a difficulty then it is not too far by taxi.

do not stay during fall/winter unless you want to be cooked alive because they set the temperature to 28-29C in rooms. despite having an area with controls, it does not actually work. we complained almost 10 times, only then did they finally give us a different room with its own aircon but even that would randomly shut off.

The hotel from the outside looks amazing and the lobby and decor is beautiful. However, the smell reminds me of a musty old public library - not of a hotel.
The room was spacious with a seating area but the carpet is stained and really needs a deep clean to bring out the color. The old smell still lingers. The airconditioning doesn't cool the room even after leaving it on for most of the day. I slept without the duvet blanket to keep me cool.

Traditional hotel
My brother and I stayed here to visit our old houses in Busan. We grew up in the shadow of this hotel but never went in. The hotel is a grand dame and whilst some might find it dated, the rooms are comfortable and service called and anywhere that has silken tofu for breakfast gets my vote. I look forward to retuning.

The hotel is very nice in style and cleanliness. The staff was very helpful from getting our rooms, explaining how the remotes for the tv and AC worked, to calling cabs for us. My only complaint was the firmness of the bed...I swear it's a mattress disguised as plywood. However since im not there to sleep and lounge the day away I was fine.
The food is separate from your room bill. We tried their buffet restaurant. Kinda pricey if you arent a teenager and can eat for hours. On the other end though there was an eclectic variety of foods and well prepared. I tried all kinds of food!!
The pool is paid separately as well. We never made it to the pool but it was 3,000 won per person.

I have stayed at this property 5 times over the past 15 years. Staff at the lounge was typical for latest generation. Not engaging or friendly at all. More interested in their phone or computer than their customers. Very stingy on “bar peanuts “ and just not very friendly at all. Attempts to strike up conversations were awkward. Rooms were very warm and opening the window was no help. Room temperature was about 78 F the entire time

Highly recommend this hotel. All of the staff was extremely friendly and the front desk spoke English. The hotel is beyond gorgeous and the photos do not do it justice. The swimming pool was wonderful too. I will definitely be booking this hotel again.

The Commodore hotel is pretty unique in its exterior and interior structure/decor. The hotel staff was very helpful and even provided recommendations when we asked for them. The room came with a great view of the harbor and was kept clean. For the two of us, the room was quite spacious as well. We also had the breakfast provided by the hotel..for an extra fee...and it was great! Definitely worth the cost as well. The hotel is located near the popular markets and tourist areas, however, be ready to walk for a good 15-25 mins, depending on where you go. The hotel bar is great as well, and when that closes up, there is a tiny little bar across from the hotel that is opened till late. The train station is about a 5 mins cab ride or a 15-20 min walk from the hotel. I would definitely recommend it for folks that want to explore Busan's harbor area.

We were disappointed all in all with this hotel. The pool wasn’t in use due to construction and in 2019 the only spa services available were for men only?! The location also made access to town difficult. We had accidentally stayed in a live motel the night before, and I think that was a better experience than the commodore

If you turned the thermostat down to 58 deg F in the room the lowest the room temperature ever got down to was 76 deg F. We had to check out early from the hotel do to the typhoon that came in that Sunday due to the fact the ship we were working on was going to Japan. I found out late the night before and was still charged for that day for the day. Asked for terms from hotel stating such and never received. Would never stay at this hotel again!

It is an amazing hotel, very unique looking and experience. Staffs were super friendly and helpful. Location is great as well. Many good restaurants around and waking distance to Busan Tower. I strongly recommend it!

We originally booked this hotel based off its external appearance and were more than impressed to see that it continued within the building. Our room was quite spacious and one could truly feel comfortable in there. There were many plug points which was fantastic. The cleaning staff always did an excellent job on tidying up our room. The only potential downside was that the bathroom seemed a little dated.

1. Six months worth of dust surrounding the air conditioner.
2. The refrigerator in the mini bar still had the last guest's half finished Chilsung cider in it. So, much for cleaning the room.
3. The air conditioner couldn't keep the room cool, but since it was on, it was acceptable to the staff.
4. The front desk gentlemen tried to haggle the price if the room and charge me a suite rate for a standard room.

Far from any metro stations, at the peak of summer, swimming pool is not open, gym and sauna is for man only! Room is ok but air conditions remains at 25-27 degree, the corridor is cooler than the inside of the room! There is a shuttle only runs every 40mins, with reduced service on Sunday and No shuttle on Monday. Staff's English is minimal, barely answer your question and with no extra information unless you ask in details.

For half the price of the more luxurious hotels in Busan, the Commodore gives you a comfortable and relaxing stay in a beautiful old Korean-style hotel set on a hill. The rooms have stunning views. It's a short walk to Busan Station (where you can catch the hop-on-hop-off City Tour buses) and a slightly longer walk to Jagalchi and Gugkje markets, with plenty of public transport options. The housekeeping staff are fantastic---very detail-oriented. The food is good and reasonably priced, although the telephone system can be frustrating, so ordering room service is a bit of an adventure! (and service hours are limited, e.g. you can't order breakfast until 7.30 am).

The beds were too hard (Mohs hardness of 8), the room was too hot, and the staff was somewhat indifferent. I called to ask how to cool down the room and after I mistakenly gave them the wrong room number (the 1 looked like a 7), they hung up. From street into lobby, you have to carry your luggage up about 10 steps but they do provide a wooden ramp that's fun to watch your bags slide away from you.

First time at this hotel. It is not too far from old Busan city and Young-do island, a tourist attraction. The hotel itself is an old building and there were many high school students who were on school filed trip (actually a tour). The price didn't include breakfast which costs 27,000 won (~25 $). There was no place outside the hotel where breakfast is served. Overall, it may be rated average or just below average.

二部屋を2泊しましたが、一部屋だけタオル類の交換もせずゴミ箱もそのままでした。スタッフに何故か尋ねると不用の設定になっていると。もし何かの間違いでそうなっていても、他のホテルではタオル類は交換用を部屋の扉のノブに袋に入れて置いてくれていましたが、最低限の配慮が欲しかったです。
