Our room was spotless, cleaner than many 5 star resorts I’ve been to. Location is perfect, nice and central. My only complaint, good luck getting a chair at the pool if you aren’t up at 6am, the chair hoarding is brutal.

Great place to stay if you're in Huatulco. The hotel is central to many of the bahías. It has a great pool, the staff is super friendly. The breakfast is delicious with many options to choose from.

Will definitely come back in our next trip to Huatulco.

Villablanca was the perfect vacation place- great location- a 15 minute walk to La Crucecita or Santa Cruz and close to Many restaurants and beaches, or a easy and reasonable taxi ride. The grocery store Chedraui a 5-minute walk.away. The hotel isn't super fancy but very quaint and clean and has an authentic mexican feel. Amazing breakfast, and great pool area,.Hotel restaurant and Beach club restaurant had great food and specials! Our room was very clean, bed and pillows comfortable and air conditioning worked great! Wonderful and very friendly, helpful staff ( especially Omar and Alexandro-they would help you with anything you needed ) We'd definitely stay again!! Denise and Don

This hotel has a lot going for it. I enjoyed the Mexican atmosphere, the pleasant pool area and the substantial breakfast. The only thing I didn’t love is the location, that is quite the schlep to the beach or town. If you don’t mind springing for a cab- it is in a convenient location.

The room was excellent, however I asked for a standard room and the room included features like a big jetted tub and deck. The tub did not work and had ants, the radio/stereo did not work and several outlets did not work. No microwave. Listening said it included airport shuttle but it did not. I feel like I wanted a standard room but paid for a more expensive room where many of the features did not work.

The pictures look nicer than it is. In reality, the rooms are rather basic (no extras, like Kleenex or conditioner etc.), the pool is small and the chairs around it are all taken.

The hotel restaurant food was not great and they did not understand my daughter's allergy (even with a Spanish allergy card) and put food on her plate that she could not have for dinner. (For instance, the waiter said a baked potato had cream on it. When it came out with a thick gray gravy, after several questions, he said it had mushrooms and bacon and who knows whatever else.)

The shuttle ride to the beach is trafficy and the beach had a huge cruise ship in front of it. So it's not very scenic if a ship is there, although the water and sand were smooth. The beach restaurant is nice and the food was good; there are bathrooms in the restaurant but I thought it would be a small beach club with a changing room or shower.

The hotel was fine. It would have been fine if we wanted something more bare bones or more local/non-chain. But we wanted relaxation after spending a week in busy Mexico City. We ended up leaving Villa Blanca two days early and spending extra money to go to an all-inclusive hotel instead, because we wanted relaxation and good food, not stress and iffy service. (Oh and iffy wifi service too, which is an issue for teenagers and others.)

Best place for Breakfast in Huatulco Spelling of names is probably off Starting with Hosesway love him Greeting us in the morning with freshly brewed coffee Moses, Ricardo, Tomas, Oliver at the front desk, and tour operator/security. Also the hard working housekeeper that cleaned our room, just to name a few staff. Manager is always walking around checking everything. They are always keeping the property up this time we went it was painting. Can't say enough about Villa Blanca, We love it there! We are going twice a year now.

Perfectly located. A 7 minute walk to the beach, a 4 minute walk to “Target” store, a 5 minute walk to a wine store, a 3 minute walk to amazing street tacos, and a 5 minute drive to the heart of La Crucecita. But I could see a scenario where you wouldn’t want to leave the hotel, the pool is massive, the restaurant and bar serve amazing meals and drinks. The staff is extremely friendly and almost all the employees are bilingual. This is a great place to stay.

Only stayed for one night. Very noisy, from people in the pool laughing to the room above, moving chairs, talking, things falling down until 12:00am or more. Call Recepcion, they asked to stop but people didn’t care. Next day before check out I wanted to go to the beach early in the morning (08:00) but safety box didn’t work, call the hotel and answer the maintenance staff enters at 09:00 so they couldn’t do anything. I complain of the service ant they took more than 30 min to resolve it. So I couldn’t go to beach! Had to go.

Breakfast was good, more than a basic buffet and restaurant staff was good too.

The staff were great, breakfast was limited in choice, the pool was warm, older hotel, street noise on roadside of property started early and was loud, was stuck in elevator for over 10 minutes & staff wasn’t trained to alarm sound so no-one came to help, happened to another person a few days earlier, owners said it was fine but manager did make an amends to our stay, AC froze & stopped working, had to move rooms & when louvers taken off to see about repair, it was full of mold. My sister almost got shocked when an outlet blew in her room & sparks flew out of it, & she also ended up with a scorpion in her room as staff kept leaving her window opened after cleaning it. I know it was reasonably priced but you get what you pay for. Won’t go back and it was hotter/really humid as not on ocean side so no breeze. Found a better priced & selection breakfast place right around the corner. Huatulco is a gem but I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

We spent 10 night here. The location is fantastic, filled with many Canadians that we enjoyed getting to know. The pool is quiet and so relaxing. It could use a good scrub. The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious, good AC. Bed is a little too hard for my liking.
My only real complaint is the restaurant. Over priced and really not very tasty. People rave about the breakfast, we had a much different experience. My daughter loved the 2 cats who live on the property. All in all we would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was ok. We didn’t get the room pictured when we booked online; while it had the correct number of beds, the one we had was much smaller and we wouldn’t have paid what we did for the room we ended up getting (vs the one online). Things were clean but definitely older. The big negative for us stems from being told at our check in that breakfast was included in our stay but after we had breakfast this morning, we were told it wasn’t included. The shady bit was it was literally the same woman who checked us in who told us it was included who was insisting this morning she never said it. It’s just breakfast; we would have paid for it (and we ended up doing so) but it’s crappy to tell customers it’s included then pull a fast one back and insist it was never said. There were four of us in our party and we all heard her say it. It was the dishonesty on her part that left a super negative impression on us.

The property is extremely rundown. The rooms are very dirty from being so old. Poor condition of the plaster had made black mold grow and the room smells badly from it.
When we checked in we were told we have breakfast included but then after we ate they presented us with a bill for 600pesos. Thankful we only booked for one night.
I would not recommend this property.

Well cared for property

I stayed at this property 8 years ago, and was not disappointed this time around. The property is maintained well, the staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and not issues with WiFi or hot water.
I would perhaps skip the breakfast option next time, as there are better restaurants in the area for breakfast and brunch.
The hotel has access to a small beach club a few KM down the road, not ideal, but they offer great food and prices were reasonable.

Great stay for young families. The staff were friendly and so welcoming. The breakfast was 5 star they had a really good variety. We were upgraded for free on our second day there. Our stay was overall lovely!

i had requested a lower floor room around the pool, but did not get one even though there were at least 3 of these rooms vacant for 3 days in a row. Good location, can walk to Santa Cruz and into town.
No lunch specials any more and food prices have gone up considerably from 2 years ago.

I enjoyed my stay here. The beds are comfortable and I was not overwhelmed by the obnoxious smell of sheets and bedding at most hotels in Mexico. I had a late lunch here and the breakfast buffet and 10/10 for both. I loved Bar Tabachines at night. The music was groovy and I got to play pool. The house margaritas are top notch.
