There was many things that stood out to me about this property, I only stayed one night because I had a flight the next day. When checking in , we had suitcases and luggage where we asked if somebody could bring them up for us, they said that the people that bring the luggage were on breakfast and couldn't help us. Which I understand people are on their breaks, but they didn't even offer to help bring up our things at a later time . Once we got upstairs I tried turning on the tv and none of the channels were working , it said their was no cable and no signal and I tried throughout my stay to switch the channels and it never worked. After I came back from the beach my family and I wanted to take a shower , I begin showering and when I open the curtain to step out, the whole bathroom was covered in water ! I told my mom to call the front desk to which they replied "its the shower isn't it? " and they brought up some towels. If you know a room is not suitable for guests and needs maintenance why would you allow guests to stay here? Well to make matters worse, that night I had to do check-in for an international flight(I was flying back to the US) and the wifi was not working ! Completely frustrating, that is something that needs to be fixed! You can't have a hotel with no wifi especially in a place where people are flying in-and-out. I don't like to typically write reviews and especially if this hotel is a small business , I'm not sure , but please fix these things.

Casa Danna is an affordable hotel. It has many pros like walk ability to two of the bay beaches and the main grocery in town. Cons are no mini fridge or ice machine to keep drinks cool. For some reason our room had little to no hot water, no issue if you shower after a stroll or in the afternoon when is Hot! Their pool is ok. No view but we knew that. Room decent size. TV options not the best but not a biggie since we were there just to sleep. Bathroom needs renovation in my opinion. Things are starting to look moldy. Especially the shower curtain. I’d like to see more options in their restaurant menu. Recommend their waffles, they are delicious. All in all a good hotel.

Very clean and quiet hotel at a decent price. Staff was friendly and my room was large and comfortable. Most rooms have a patio and there is a decent pool too.

Above all, this is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at anywhere. The location is good if you are OK walking a bit. It’s not in the heart of the tourist area, but it’s a 5 minute walk to Chahue beach, 12 minutes to Santa Cruz beach and 15 minute walk to Crucecita. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the large department store (across a street) with some restaurants and coffee shops nearby. I asked for a small fridge for our room and got one. I would certainly stay here again.

A few items I wish they would improve: there is no coffee machine in the room, there is only one chair in the room, so not great for two people on the patio and closet space is limited.

Overall, I plan to return and enjoyed staying there.

This was our third time staying at Casa Danna Huatulco. This hotel is our first choice when booking and is always a nice place to stay. It's not fancy but it's safe, clean and quiet. The pool area is great. The staff are always friendly. Bahía Chahué is within walking distance. What more does a person need?

It is always a pleasure to stay at Casa Danna. Property is very clean and well maintained and easy walking distance everywhere. I am glad to see there was a fridge in the hotel room now.

Be aware that on Fri/Sat/Sun very big groups come to the hotel to stay. During the week, it is much quieter.

All bath towels need to be replaced. So buy one at Chedraui for 100pesos and you are set.

It was our first time in Huatulco so I wasn't sure what to expect. Overall, we were pleased but it was missing a fridge and microwave. With little kids, I have found that to be a must. The room was cleaned everyday. We were a little far from the zocalo but were close to a public beach that we didn’t get a chance to check out but was nice to know it was there.

This is a great hotel for the price. Very clean and tidy and good quality bedding. I would have given the highest ratings except for one issue. I booked three months in advance for a King room and received two double beds instead. Maybe they could review there booking policy and supply the room you actually booked in the future.

Nice Independent Seaside Hotel

Nice place, nice stay for a budget hotel. Good location for nearby restaurants, besides the onsite one. Easy check-in. I arrived early before my room was ready (as I expected) and they allowed me to store my bags while I walked around. Good wifi, hot water, decent water pressure. My room was clean and in good order for an independent hotel. There are steps for the higher floors but I enjoyed the exercise. There is a water dispenser off of the lobby to refill your own bottles. My room had a window but the view was of another wall. I stayed in the front portion of the hotel, there is another building closer to the ocean but I can’t comment on it’s view, layout or comfort. I would stay again without hesitation.

Very noisy radio comm and dirty swimming pool

The room was spacious, nice and clean, however you have no place to hang your clothes. The house keeping personnel use radio transmitters to communicate with reception and is so loud you can hear it from one room to another. The pool water was hot and dirty, while I was swimming with my daughters we founded lots and lots of long hair floating around. Disgusting.

Great value - enjoyed my stay

I stayed for 5 nights and was plesantly surprised as this was the second part of my vacation. This was a cheaper rate but much better value and service. There was an issue with my hot water which Angel Gregorio went beyond the call of duty to fix. Amazing staff. The cleaning staff are incredible: there were fresh towels each day and rooms were mopped and cleaned thoroughly every day as if a 4-star hotel. Manager is on site and can answer any questions and he is bilingual. AC worked perfectly and there is also a ceiling fan. Bathrooms are modern and very clean. The pool is gorgeous but needs a thorough cleaning (around the pool is beautiful). I did extend my stay, although the restaurant being closed for 3 days was an inconvenience. I would stay again if there was a safe in the room and they had a little eating area in each room.

CONS: There is no elevator. Restaurant is not open everyday so make plans for that. On Mondays, nothing nearby is open so go to La Crucecita or Santa Cruz for your meals.

TIP: Chahue beach is nearby but not a swimming beach, so take a taxi to Playa Entrega or Playa Maguey which are beautiful. Across the street is Mama Elsa Hamburguesa (open at 6pm). Don’t be fooled by the by-the-side-of-the-road digs; try it!

Just one night before joining family in PE. Manager quickly accommodated request for room on 2nd floor which had not come through from hotels.com. Comfortable room and good value for price. Breakfast ok. Staff all friendly. Parking on site very useful. Forgot something in room and when we telephoned staff quickly searched around and sure did us they will keep the item until we return to take flight home. Thanks guys!

We stayed in the new section. Everything was fresh and kept clean. Rooms are simple: beds and concrete wall side tables.

Close to Chahué Bay and Super Chedraui.

Pleasant and helpful staff

Maids are deligent keeping property clean. Often the pool area would be littered badly by guests, but the maids would be cleaning it up first thing in the morning.

Weekend nights can be noisy as there are a couple of clubs nearby.

Wonderful Holiday in Huatulco

This hotel is in a perfect spot and close to the main artery to get to towns of La Crucecita and Santa Cruz. The hotel's staff, especially Manuel, hotel Manager and Elvira, assistant manager were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room on the 3rd Floor, facing the pool with glimpses of the ocean was spacious and the bed was very comfy. There are 2 beds, but we only used 1. The room and hallways were always cleaned to perfection.

The hotel location is very good. We stayed on Christmas Eve and we were close enough to a bigger resort hotel that we could watch their fireworks from our balcony. It was about a 5 minute walk to the Superche store to buy things we needed, and about 15-20 to the town centre for some wonderful restaurants and bars. The staff at Casa Danna were so friendly and helpful, getting us a taxi on the morning we needed to leave. We at breakfast at the hotel and it was good. We would definitely stay next time we are in Huatulco.

Doesn't have a restaurant (that was open at 7pm on a Friday anyways), the room didn't have glassware, a coffee maker, or fridge but it's okay for a quick stay near the beach or if you don't need much from a hotel other than a bed! Pool area looked nice. Staff is friendly. Bed is comfortable.

Sparkling clean but unappealing and bad service!

Located on a main Street, and you can hear music all night from the Papaya Club next door. What makes this hotel suck is the staff's attitude. Before you leave they have you wait, and make sure you did not steal anything from the room. Also poor customer service on other things ("we cannot provide you with an extra blanket, only what is in the room). Really? It is otherwise brand new and super clean. Very weak wifi- can't use it!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great tip for local specialty restaurant and popular beaches. Room and bathroom was very clean. Two downsides: 1. no elevator - we were on the fourth floor with eight bags (traveling by car for three months) and got help with the bags from the manager; 2. shower water pressure was low. Off street parking.

We stayed for a one night stopover and this one-year old hotel fit the bill. Great value, very friendly and service-oriented staff, nice breakfast and a pool area for cooling down. Everything functioned well. As it is on a major artery between Crucecita and the beaches, it is very convenient for shopping or getting anywhere in the area by car. The hotel is a. Unusual design with the parking lot in between the rooms and the pool. Not the most attractive room views.

El servicio de la gente no es el mejor. No son para nada atentos, excepto algunos.
La alberca tiene agua fría siempre, no hay cajoneras para guardar la ropa, cobran las toallas de playa, lo cual es raro.
No hay nada para comer o pedir de tomar, solo en las mañanas y son solo dos horas las que dan.
En general no es un mal lugar, está limpio, pero si queda a deber bastante

Nunca me había tocado un hotel que fuera tan estricto con sus reglas, el personal de mostrador te las lee y te remarca con muy poco tacto, te las tienen pegadas el la habitación , por ejemplo que teníamos que cuidar y fijarnos que tuviéramos 5 toallas porque si nos faltaba una no las iban cobrar. ( las toallas todas percudidas)
Al hacer el check out también nos detuvieron hasta que fueran inspeccionar la habitación.

La ubicación es excelente, la playa está cerca, aunque no es apta para nadar es genial para pasar el día. Las habitaciones son de buen tamaño y todo funcional. La limpieza excelente. Lo único que faltan son más espejos en la habitación, solo hay uno en el baño. Definitivamente volveré el próximo año.

El hotel es bonito en cuestión calidad precio, la habitación es bonita, grande y tiene buena vista, solo que el aire acondicionado goteaba y una de las llaves del baño estaba floja y se caía, de ahí en fuera todo estaba muy bien, tienen una alberca y acceso por la parte de atrás que a pocos metros estás en la playa de Chahue
