The hotel is dated; however, the outdoor onsen is a great experience. Mr. Y. Onimaru at the Front Desk was very friendly and provided excellence customer services during our stay. The breakfast is a combination of Japanese and western style. It is very yummy. Our original booking was a traditional Japanese room but found out there is no shower/bathing area inside the room which was unexpected. Ms. Sato at the Front Desk helped and moved us to a Japanese/Western room the next day so we had our own shower area and were able to experience sleeping on the tatami. The hotel provides shuttle services to 3 different ski resorts; however, the schedule to and back from Hirafu is very limited (even during peak season). They should consider providing shuttle services the same schedule as going to Annipuli during peak season. Need to take a taxi from Niseko Village back after dinner. It costs USD $40-50 each time.
May stay again because of the onsen and breakfast.

Location was really good. Only about a 7 min walk to subway station. Hotel was amazing. I booked the club floor room, so could have spent zero yen on food for the whole trip if I really wanted to. The bar was absolutely perfect. Cocktails were amazing.

This property is not far from the Annapuri Lifts and has regular shuttle busses heading to all the ski slopes! Also, the reason I chose it is the awesome onsen and large outside rotemburo! We were able to combine skiing and onsen enjoyment! Breakfast buffet was very good as well. Good value for the money and super friendly and helpful staff!

It's a great location if you plan on skiing/snowboarding in Annupuri or Grand Hirafu area as their free shuttle goes there and back. If you want to eat though, there's only a few options as taxi is limited if you didn't rent a car. They do have free breakfast which is delicious and their dinner buffet sufficed but not for the price of ¥4500/ person. The free onsen is the highlight after a long day at the slopes. The staff are helpful and friendly. Don't expect a free late checkout as you pay more per hour per room rate. They do offer pick up and drop off shuttle to the bus station for Sapporo/CTS airport. All in all, the stay was great for our family of 7.

We actually loved staying here and the food upstairs in the restaurant is excellent. The rooms are comfy and the access to the mixed onsen is excellent. Probably one of our favourite parts. I will say that the shower in the rooms were very average. Plenty of hot water but it’s a very small setup and feels more like a van than a hotel.

This hotel is definitely dated looking on the exterior and public circulation spaces. But the western rooms were just renovated and are quite nice.

The Onsen is fantastic. The breakfast is also great. I kind of forgot it was included in the rate I chose.

It’s also great they have a free shuttle. It’s mostly convenient. There’s also a public bus stop at the front door.

I’d say location is the main downside for most people. It’s not overly walkable to anywhere without some effort.

I might end up there again. It was my first trip to Niseko, so I really didn’t know the layout yet. Now that I’ve got a good feeling for the area I’ll look and see what other options exist closer to the hills/dining options. I definitely dont want to be at a busier resort area like Hirafu, but wouldn’t mind being walkable to Moiwa or Annupuri. Would make choosing when to start or stop skiing easier.

Mind you.. that Onsen is great. I no in a couple times a day before breakfast and after skiing. It’s open about 22.5 hours a day.

Clean and comfortable, tea and kimonos in the room, heated toto toilet, great lighting, plenty of space for clothes & luggage in the room. Warm, welcoming staff, English was good and a great Onsen!! Nice to share the outside mineral water lagoon with my husband. Felt like a ski lodge enjoyed all the fellow skiers on the bus to 10 minute drive to Annupuri resort frequent schedule.

Loved the Onsen at the hotel. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is great at the hotel. The only downside is the distance to most restaurants. Shuttle service to the ski hills is super convenient and well timed. Would suggest renting a car if you have a group of 4 or more. Great experience though, definitely recommend.

Nice onsen with a mixed bath area. Many bugs in the room and old bedding and mattress. Old spiderwebs on the ceiling. Water damage on the walls. I suggest only visiting as a day trip to the onsen. They offered to clean the room when we mentioned the bugs, but we decided it was too uncomfortable to stay overnight and drove home instead.

Do not stay here. MISLEADING and rundown

Very disappointed with the beginning of our trip this place was horrible, dirty, run down and misleading. I have traveled all over the world and have never experienced a hotel like this. There was no description on this distance away from EVERYTHING. The shuttles are minimal and I want EVERYONE to know this. There is no description that a shower will not be in your room. You have to shower on a Community bench in the Onsen. I understand the culture, however there needs to be a description so everyone knows. The room was very run down and dirty. We had blood on our sheets. Walls are cracked.. carpet torn not updated.. I have never needed to write a review but I want everyone to know this place is misleading for people flying across the world for the snow.. The location is not best for people not having transportation especially at night if you want to into town. Taxis are difficult. When talking with the staff they had left an intern to run the front desk and she was not very helpful or educated on our issues and how to help the customer when there is an issue.. overall do not stay here if you really want to experience Niseko and it’s amazing snow. We ended up funded an amazing hostel and they made our experience epic.

Great that they offer the free shuttle bus to ski resorts. Otherwise there’s only one restaurant for a few minutes walk. There’s a convenience store in the hotel. The breakfast was awesome. The staff were nice and spoke decent English. There’s free locker for ski equipment. The onsen was beautiful.

The room was old and not as clean. Worse, the onsen was old and dirty; it really needs some remodeling.

We stayed in a traditional tatami room on the first floor of this older building. The accommodations were acceptable for a group of 4, although a bit cramped. The staff turns over the room and sets up the traditional beds for you in the evening, which was a nice touch. They were very kind and helpful and were happy to store our luggage the morning prior to check-in. Noise wasn't much of an issue and being next to the locker room wasn't as loud as we expected with the second door shut. The onsen was great to have on-site and the breakfast buffet had a good spread. There's a great restaurant just a few minutes walk away as well. The shuttle runs often enough and is free. Overall, we were happy with our stay but it wouldn't be our first choice for a group the second time around due to location and available space.

I am not into this culture hence I decided not to bath for that day. Plus point is the breakfast provided is awesome with a very very beautiful view. It’s winter by the way.

Seemed expensive for the location and quality compared to other places in Gran Hirafu. Service was excellent. Breakfast buffet offered a good variety of food and as much as you could eat. Onsen was great. Bus schedule to Hirafu area was somewhat limiting. An earlier bus to Annupuri and later bus back from Hirafu would be great along with a few less gaps between buses.

We had a rental car so it was okay to commute from the ski area and the hotel.

The service was overall okay, I read some reviews about rude service but all the three front desks I’ve talked to was good. There was a young tall staff was offering extremely good service compared to the others. The way very kind and informative. Even willing to exchange a room for us when we arrived late at night.

One thing you might wanna make sure before your booking that, most of the rooms do not come with a private shower room.

The out door onsen was a great facilityc and it seems like many local japanese come to the hotel only for this public bathing as well, which felt a bit uncomfortable.

Wish they could rerenovate the interior so it’s much more comfortable to stay.

2nd time to this hotel because other hotels in Niseko is expensive. I like this hotel because after skiing, you can use their Onsen to soak and relaxed you body. The morning breakfast is also very good. The down-side of this hotel is its surrounding area has nothing for you to do. Its hotel bus service to Ski-Resort ad town area (Hirafu) are also very restricted. (Last bus out is 7pm and last bus back to hotel is 8:15pm from Hirafu). So, if you want to enjoy more night life, you need to get your own transportation.

Great choice for outdoor onsen lovers

Hotel has a mixed huge outdoor onsen and also outdoor onsen available for just ladies. Very rare in Japan! Room was cozy and nice ryokan style for two of us. Breakfast selection is good too. Very reasonable price for such a real Japanese experience! Only minus point would be the lack of control of guests who were loud and eating and drinking in outdoor onsens. Perhaps it was not the fault of management but could be improved.

Been there a half dozen times before , older but clean hotel. Good food. Disappointed with Front desk assistance or lack there of in shipping my bag to airport. I've stayed there every year for the past 3 years while on snow vacation. At first told me they don't accept bags for International airport drop off's. I've done this the previous 2 years and after asking why they finally called the shipping company and took all of 3 minutes to complete paper work. Received bags at airport a few days later as planned, worked out OK.

Poor Location for Skiing but goo for Snow holiday

The hotel is good for holiday. But for people who want to go Niseko to Skii, this may not be a good hotel to stay. Limited Bus Schedule and access to Niseko Ananupuri and Hirafu Resort. You have to plan very well or you will not make it in time to go skiing or come back to hotel. They wifi also does not work often. If you do not have data plan, good luck.
The surrounding has no shop or restaurant. So, you cannot go and buy stuff or eat as you like.

The hotel has a great outdoor Onsen where mixed bathing is allowed. Ladies are given a dress that they can wear into the onsen. Dinner is also good quality. Room is ok but has no bath, only toilet. Also in our Japanese style room, the staff did not come to make the beds and we had to do it ourselves.

Niseko Grand Hotel Is a medium size 3* hotel located 7min drive to Niseko Annupuri ski field and 12min drive from the Niseko station.

Hotel offers free pickup and send off service from Niseko station and offers scheduled shuttle service to 3 ski fields, Annupuri, Nowiwa and Grand Hirafu.

The room size is bigger than most hotels in Japan, comfortable bed and clean towels. All essential amenities are provided. All rooms are facing the snow mountain which makes my stay a wonderful experience.

Hotel has both indoor and outdoor unisex onsen with different kind of natural mineral hot spring water. Very relaxing in the hot spring while enjoying the snow mountain at the outdoor onsen.

Hotels serves good quality buffet breakfast. Dinner is a Japaness set meal.

Hotel staff are friendly and helpful in helping you to make all shuttle pickup service and dinner arrangement.

I would return to stay in Niseko Grand hotel as it is value for money and comfortable.

We landed Haneda @ 9:30 pm and had a 6:25 am flight the next morning to Hokkaido. We had ski gear, so we were not traveling light. This hotel is perfectly priced, conveniently located with efficient free transportation. Rooms are cozy, impressively clean with pjs, toothbrushes, bathroom amenities so you don't need to unpack! PERFECT!!!

very nice location as it is close to Moiwa ski station. It is not ideal for those who want to enjoy Hirafu town as it is very far away. The biggest perk of this hotel is their incredible outdoor onsen (hot spring). And also, where you have breakfast is on the 5th floor which gives you amazing view of trees and hills covered in pure snow.(we went there in February). Everything was very very clean, despite the fact that this hotel is quite old. I would give 8 out of 10 for overall satisfaction.

The hotel staff service is extremely terrible and very disappointing. Besides unable to speak English at all, to assist hotel guest to make call to book bus service also denied.

In the entire Japan trip, this is the most terrible experience my family every had. Further, there is no bathtub and shower in the room attached. We have to take bath in the common areas which is totally horrible experience.

All in all, never, never stay in this hotel especially foreign tourist since we can't speak Japanese.

Never recommend this hotel to anyone and possible please drop this hotel booking in your list to completely avoid disappointment to others in future.

All staff were kind and attentive, Onsen was very great, especially, the best thing was that we can enjoy it with all family members at the outdoor area~!!!

ただ、浴場にいたアジア系外国人の男性二人組の会話がすごく煩かったのが残念でした。
脱衣所に入ったとたん大音量の会話が聞こえてきたので団体客かと思いましたが二人だけとは・・・

食事がとても美味しく、温泉も良く、部屋も清潔で、コンセントや携帯の充電コンセントも多く、使い易く設計されており、また従業員の方々もとても親切です。2年前と去年は11泊、今年は8泊しました。毎年滞在したいと思います。

가성비 좋은 추천하고 싶은 숙소.
일본 전통의 다다미방은 푸근했고 저녁 식사는 훌륭함.
오래된 건물이라 완벽한 청결도를 바라긴 어려움.

안누푸리 스키장까지 10분이지만 다른 스키장에서 호텔을 셔틀로 방문하기는 어려움이 있음.

スタッフの皆さんが明るく対応してくださいました。食事も美味しいです。到着出発やスキー場への送迎も大変助かりました。施設が新しくならばさらに良いと思います。

Personnel très courtois, sympathique et aidant. Le restaurant de l’hôtel est moyen, et il faut aller très loin pour trouver de quoi se restaurer. Superbe on s’en pour relaxer après une bonne journée de ski!

『良かった』につきます。気になっていたお風呂は想像以上でしたし、外観と違って部屋はリフォームされてて綺麗です。他の所も古さはあっても清潔でスタッフさん達の気遣いが感じられます。ひとつ残念だったのは、受付に居たスタッフが研修中だったのか外国の方だったのか対応が「えっ⁉️」って感じだったのが(^^; だったかな。あとは小さいこどもさん連れの家族には物足りないかも… 温泉好きな方やのんびりされたいかたには最高だと思います。

외관은 오래됬지만 내부는 리뉴얼되있어서 깔끔하고좋았습니다 식사도 정갈했어요
