Convenient location to ski in and out of An’nupuri. All staff member from front desk, shipping luggage, kitchen staff to housekeeping staffs were very nice and friendly. The onsen was clean and bonus was the sauna and cold plunge. The morning buffet was ok, I would recommend to have more fruit varieties other than just grapefruit and pineapple. Overall spent 4 very nice days skiing and we ate out for dinner, highly recommend making reservations at lucky fingers and Matsuri.

The location of the hotel is perfect with ski-in and ski-out access, and it serves as one of the airport bus stops. We also loved the onsen, which is very relaxing after snowboarding all day. The room is small and old, but the view is amazing. The hotel seemed underataffed, but their staff were friendly. We’d love to stay here again if we find a good deal.

We loved this hotel and our stay. First, we landed at the airport with no reservations for transportation to the airport and found a bus that dropped us off at the door of this hotel for $37. So much easier and more convenient then trying to take the JR train and then having to take the local shuttle in town. We made a reservation through the hotel for the bus company to take us back to the airport and again they picked us up right at the door. So easy and no car needed. The breakfast at the hotel is GREAT. We stayed there 5 days and the other reviews worried me but we really enjoyed it. We had dinner at the hotel once at the buffet which I agree was just ok, but it worked and was so convenient to have that option. The bus to take you into Hirafu or the Niseko Village is convenient but does take a while but honestly there were some good food options around this hotel as well. The pizza place is AMAZING and so were a few of the local spots. All within walking distance. The ski in ski out option was WONDERFUL and so convenient. You have a locker at the hotel so you don't have to put all your wet stuff in your room. Very easy. We also went with the IKON pass so we had access to the whole mountain and it was easy to get around. We went night skiing - right outside the hotel and almost no one was on the mountain. Such an amazing experience. The hotel has a great onsen. So perfect for relaxing after a day of skiing. The lobby bar happy hour, room service and hotel staff - ALL GREAT

Wonderful ski holiday and place to stay

Hotel was quite nice and clean although not all rooms were of equal standards in terms of cleanliness. Bedside table had a bunch of wires sticking out from the back and was a bit unsightly. Location was not the most convenient so finding places to eat was quite a challenge. Thankfully, the hotel serves nice buffet breakfast (included in room) and buffet dinner (although expensive at 4400 yen per pax). The in-resort onsen was fantastic and offered a nice outdoor view of the mountain. Most guests would go there to ski so having the ski rental and classes within the resort was super convenient. The ski lessons were taught very well and the instructors were very experienced and could speak excellent English (Fuji-San) and Mandarin (Jason-San). The resort also provides free shuttle service to Niseko Station and that’s a plus. Overall, I would recommend my friends to come to this resort for a ski holiday any time (well... maybe just winter).

It was nice that I got an upgrade to a large room. Breakfast buffet was great! I enjoyed very fresh ingredients from Hokkaido. What I didn't like was the hallway smells strong cigarette smell. Also, I see quite a few mold spots on the bathroom tile grout.

The external environment is very beautiful and peaceful. It is a nice hotel for vacation. Wonderful buffet breakfast with many varieties, Japanese or western style. But if choosing Japanese style dinner, there are only 7 courses with small dishes. So dinner buffet should be more preferable.

Highlight of our trip

We really enjoyed our stay, it was the highlight of our trip. The room was clean and was very spacious. Breakfast and dinner was amazing and more than what we expected. Hot spring facility was good, with lots of disposable samples to use, water was the right temperature and you can still watch the snow fall from inside if you didn't go to the outside pool.

It's a true ski in and ski out hotel, we find it very convenient, and you can ski until 8.30pm with your all day ski pass. Getting there was easy too, our bus drop us off from Chitose airport directly to hotel door and picked us up from hotel and dropped us back to Sapporo station when we leave.

We would definitely stay at Niseko Northern resort Annupuri again.

The hotel was clean and the service was good except... there was one reception staff who was on duty on 26th Nov night and 28th Nov morning, was really bad. She was smiling very nicely to other customers who are Japanese last second and did not even look at us when we tried to clarify some problems next second just because we did not speak Japanese. She was so impatient when we asked how to get to the ski area and rent the ski board and spoke really fast and I could not catch what she was trying to say. She gave me and my friend a terrible experience in this hotel.

The hotel staff was pleasant..food was fabulous, but there is little to do or see. Transportation very bad. Unbelievable for Japan! My train on the way there from Sapporo New Chitose Airport was stalled because another train hit and killed a deer. I missed my train to Niseko and had to get a hotel room in Otaru. It was quite a challenge!

The room was very large compared to other hotels that I’ve stayed in Japan. Staff were also very polite. Do check out the activities offered at the Niseko Outdoor Centre. We went for soba making and it was really informative and fun!

Some of the front desk staff attitude was good,but I met two of the male front desk staff, their attitude was unfriendly, when I was asking him some question. There was a customer behind me, then he services the customer behind me and ignore me.But I was the fist one visit the front desk. Also one of the male staff at the first floor lounge. His manner was also bad. He didn't did any welcome language to me when l walk in the lounge , and he didn't did thank you to me after I did the bill.

The skiing here can’t be beat. That hotel is beautiful the rooms a great restaurant prices may be a little high but the prices in the bar especially during happy hour are great and they also serve food and room service are both inexpensive. they have volcanic heated baths they call onsen’s. They are not coed and no bathing suit allowed.

We stayed at the An'nupuri resort for 4 nights and I found the overall experience wonderful. Very helpful staff, clean room and good food! I would have liked to have a massage but it booked up so fast - this was my one disappointment.

A really excellent experience with the convenience of the ski hill and rentals at your fingertips!!

Family of 5 stayed for 2 nights during mid December. We liked the breakfast and dinner buffet. Liked the easy access to ski areas just beside hotel. Adults love the outdoor onsens, very unique experience of soaking in hot onsen while snow flakes fall onto our faces.
Clean, modern and comfortable hotel. Will love to come back for a longer stay!

It was a pleasant check in experience, the male check in staff on 08th April was helpful on various aspects.
He called the dinner place we intended to go but unfortunately it was closed for the season.
He arranged and reserved free shuttle service to Niseko station on our day of check out.
He addressed our queries on ski pass even when it was after ski hours.
He addressed our queries on transport to Sapporo after we checked out.
The room was pleasant, there was no air conditioning as it was winter. Room was too warm even without heater being turned on. Window was opened to allow the room to cool.

It was communicated via email that our luggages can be stored at the cloak room after we checked out if we are still skiing, and it was free of charge.
The staff on 10th April at the cloak room, only took our luggages but refused to acknowledge our backpacks are also part of the luggage and insisted we rented lockers to keep our bagpacks.
She also deflected our question when we enquired about ski pass after ski pass opening hours at the hotel reception.

Great location but very disappointing stay

We stayed for 5 days in room 215. When we arrived, my comments in my booking asking for Non smoking room had not been taken into account and we were given a smoking room (the hotel was full). Wifi was not working as too many people were connected at the same time. On the Monday we had to wait for 20mn to be given a table for the breakfast + when we were inside the dining room we could see many tables empty but with left-overs on the table. They need more staff to clean the tables. At 5:30am the front loader was removing the snow in the parking which is in front of our windows i.e. you are woken up at 5:30am every morning. In addition there was a regular noise of a drop of water preventing us from sleeping during the night (probably the snow melting and falling on our roof). I asked for earplugs but they had none. I had to purchase earplugs myself and was not offered to be reimbursed.

Solo traveller from NYC (flew in from Taipei). Staff is extremely friendly. Helpful in English, Japanese, Chinese. Plenty of signs and notes in English to help you out with. Take a minute to read and observe everything! Great breakfast buffet to fuel you up before your day out on the slopes! Easy ski-in, ski-out, and also provides corresponding ski lockers to your hotel room. In case you need to check-out of your room first but leave in the afternoon/evening - there's a luggage storage area and changing area to accommodate a last morning ski session.

The Ski-in-ski-out was great. Service was professional and the charge of the lunch buffet at Eclat was very reasonable. The hot spring was up to standard but too bad that it was closed during the day time. The receptionists were friendly and helped us to arrange free shuttle bus for dinner at a nearby restaurant. It was a really nice hotel with a great view. Just unfortunately there's not enough snowfall for us to try skiing. The good thing is that it has a beautiful onsen, indoor and outdoor, so I spent my time enjoying the onsen.
Another big plus was that the resort arranged for a last minute pick up from the train station for me as I was not able to find their contact number from hotel.com as well as their website. I happened to chance upon the resort's phone number when I used goggle map to find out how to get from the station on my own. They were really co-operative to arrange for immediate pick-up. So it was really nice of them.
One word of advice, if you are traveling by JR train to Niseko station, do pack a smaller luggage as at the local train station and Niseko station, there is no escalator or elevator, so you will have to use the steps.

This resort was nice, ski in ski out, with free lockers for your ski equipment at the entrance and a ski rental counter also. Staff was friendly and helpful but their English was not quite as good as where we have stayed before (at the Hilton, which is nice, but cost twice as much) so the communication was a little difficult when we had questions. But the staff did their best. Also, be sure you bring plenty of cash for buses and lunch on the slopes. Many things are cash only outside of the hotel, but there are no atm's nearby anything (there are no atm's at the Hilton or Alpen area either)! We had trouble trying to book the bus back to the airport because it is cash only and had to skip eating lunch on the slopes that day so we would have enough! Annupuri was nice and if the lifts at the top are running, then you can easily connect to ski all sides of the mountain. Since there were high winds when we were there, the top lifts were no running, so we had to take the free shuttle bus to the other slopes which was ok, but takes a while. It's about a 20 min shuttle ride to the Hilton side and another 20 past that to get to Grand Hirafu side.

An unforgettable experience for my family

This is my family's first trip to a ski resort and it was really an unforgettable experience. The hotel is just next to the ski/snow mountain where my kids can play and learn skiing with lots of snow. It was a dream place to be. There is also a public bath in the hotel and it was a good place to relax your muscles after learning to ski. However, there was limited eating places around the hotel, probably also due to the snowing weather. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was fantastic and affordable for hotel standard food. Will definitely go back again if given the chance.

Great ski-in, ski-out hotel

This was a great ski-in, ski-out hotel with all the facilities, hire, lift ticketing to do just that. Just needed a better bus connection to Hirafu or other dinning options nearby.

Nice and Cosy

nice and polite staff. hotel is a little dated especially the exterior. but the interior is nice. not too many choices in f&b.
