Overall, I would stay there again in a different room: reasonable price, decent breakfast, comfortable, and well-trained staff.

Stayed three nights. The hotel is a good value. The room was clean and well-maintained. The free breakfast was good-similar to other sausage, egg and hash brown style hotel breakfasts.

The hotel is located between two high-traffic streets and fronted by another high-traffic street. There was sometimes significant road noise in our second-story room. I would stay there again, but ask for a higher room on the north side of the hotel. The pool is small.

There are lots of restaurants in the area, including Nando's ( a South African chain serving spicy roast chicken) and a personal favourite. Krispy Kreme donuts. We got the milkshakes from the nearby Dave's dinner. They did not have enough flavouring.

We appreciated the kindness and prompt service. Our toilet wouldn't flush unless manually assisted, the handyman came immediately and fixed it. The staff was great. The breakfast was very good and the lady at the desk very polite and on top of everything.
The location was super. Exactly situated for our needs.
The room was clean and well stocked with coffee tea etc. All in all its was a comfortable experience.

The restaurant just closed about a month ago unfortunately. (But there is Peter's Drive Inn behind the hotel).
This was one of the reasons why I chose this place.
The staff are friendly.
The complimentary hot breakfast consists of precooked pork sausages, precooked omelettes, bread you can make toast, the famous "make your own waffles", cereal, yogurt, some kind of granola(?)coffee tea and juices.
The coffee offered at the buffet in the dispensers seemed watered down but im a coffee snob.
The hotel offers shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion in refillable dispensers so that helps to keep those little bottles out of the landfill. Pretty good quality too.
I tried the swimming/wading pool. Temperature was not cold but not warm, just right i guess.
I ran out of time and wasn't able to try the workout room which looked spacious with a few TV and floor fans.

The AC was so loud we had to turn it off. The shower was broken. My husband went to the front desk and was given the room key for across the hall to shower. Maintenance could use attention.

The front desk staff were fine. They were neither particularly welcoming nor rude, just fairly neutral in their interactions.

The beds were not especially comfortable, and the breakfast was about what you would expect from a complimentary hotel buffet.

The biggest disappointment was the pool. The kids were really looking forward to it and found it quite underwhelming.

The location, however, is excellent. There are many restaurants and great coffee shops within a short walking distance.

Overall, considering the low room rate, this hotel offers good value for the money.

My go to hotel was a pleasant stay. Air conditioner in the room was making noise so hard to sleep. TV didn’t work and was offered another room but it was late at night. Suggest cleaners add “check tv remote” during their clean/assessment of the room.

AC was not working had to visit 7 room at 1am in the morning to finally find one working.

Staff was amazing in helping and quite a luck property was almost empty so plenty of room to visit to finally found one with working AC in it.

Was quite a challenge for the poor guy at front desk.

Hotel was aware of the issue prior to stay as AC unit were unplugged. They shouldn't accept reservation when they know it will be 28C in the room. That's not ok. Ill never reserve there anymore.

We greatly enjoyed the hot breakfasts (We had omlettes, sausage, hash browns and make your own waffles.) There were other choices like cereal, yogurt, toast, etc. and one day there were scrambled eggs but we preferred the omlettes. The breakfast area was very clean and well supplied, and Anisha, the person who greeted us, was very friendly and helpful. She always gave us a great start for our day, making sure we had everything we needed and making us feel very welcome and appreciated. The beds were comfortable and rooms were a good size, with a nice desk, TV, chest of drawers, fridge and microwave. We did not use any other facilities such as the pool. The location was good - close to main routes and within walking distance of places like Tim Hortons, McDonalds and Mr. Sub.

Room was clean - there was a tournament with a number of teenagers who behaved excellent - the air conditioning unit was unfortunately broken for the entire facility and it was needed. Staff were good a little stodgy lol but otherwise great. We will definitely stay here again - on site restaurant went out of business literally day before but they had a decent breakfast and there are lots of places to dine or order in on one of the apps.

Very disappointed that we were not informed the restaurant had closed after we booked but in the month prior to our arrival. It was an important factor in our choice of hotel, and we would not have stayed there otherwise.

The pool area was also extremely chaotic, as there was 7-8 children throwing a football from end to end, and hit us, and our small children multiple times. The parents were not present and although we asked the staff to ask others to settle down, no one came.

Breakfast was ok. Enough for the kids to eat. Only item that was fresh was the apples and oranges, everything else was very processed foods. Would have rather paid for a freshly made breakfast.

Terrible time checking in. Room was prepaid but for the damage deposit they would not accept our credit card without a pin. The credit card provided does not have a pin. They did not accept debit, the only choice was to go to their ATM and take out $500 cash for the damage deposit. They ended up allowing a credit card via email which they only asked for the number and expiry date, the exact same thing we tried to give at check in! Check in lasted almost an hour. When we tried to get into our room, the door would not open. 4 attempts later, including with staff, there was no getting into that room. A different room was then offered. Breakfast was being cleaned up at 9:20am even though it said 9:30am it would be served until, so we cannot comment on the breakfast as we did not end up having any.

Overall, the hotel was clean, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff serving breakfast and cleaning our rooms were wonderful throughout our stay.
However, we had a very disappointing experience on the evening of April 25. After a busy day and late dinner, the parents in our group gathered quietly in one of the rooms for tea. Shortly after, a front desk staff member approached us saying our group had been making excessive noise for over an hour and that there had been complaints against us.
This was very surprising, as our group had only returned to the hotel about five minutes earlier. There were several teenage sports teams staying at the hotel, and there had been noise in the hallways earlier in the evening, which we assumed caused the confusion. We politely explained this, but later received calls to the room repeating the accusations and warning that we could be removed from the hotel if the noise did not stop.
We were shocked and upset by the way the situation was handled. We quietly finished our tea and returned to our rooms, feeling unfairly accused and treated disrespectfully despite remaining calm and polite throughout the interaction.
It’s unfortunate because the rest of our stay had been pleasant, but this experience left a very negative impression, and we would not return in the future.

When we arrived, the man at the front desk said that the room would be warm from the sun but it would cool down later on. When we got back after our evening out around 11pm, the temp was 26 degrees. We tried turning down the thermostat, and woke up numerous times in the night because it was so hot. When we checked out at 8:45 this morning, the lady said that the 4th floor has central heat and there was nothing that could be done about it. We weren’t rude and neither was she, but it felt like a “too bad so sad” response. We won’t be returning to the hotel.

Staff in the breakfast area started putting things away before the end of breakfast time and were annoyed when people requested items. Sports teams staying in the hotel opening and closing doors multiple times early 6:30 am with no regard for other guests -no other guest should be in areas in the middle of "teams"areas"
