The interiors are well thought out, decorated with quality and often unusual items. I especially loved the Lloyd loom dressing table chair on castors, presumably once an office chair. Really comfortable bed and chairs in the room, lovely toiletries, good tea, coffee and biscuits selection. We were very lucky to have a marina facing room with a little balcony. We had a couple of drinks on room service, all very prompt. The bar area was a lovely area to relax in the evening and the restaurant was busy, bustling and cosy. We didn’t have dinner but did have a lovely breakfast. The staff are fabulous. Discreet, efficient and friendly. Couldn’t fault the service here, some of the best I’ve experienced. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is right by the harbour with a pretty view. The street in front is one way and not a thoroughfare, so was quiet. The hotel is a few minutes walk to the centre of town, and there are many pubs and restaurants close by. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

A very relaxing and comfortable stay, a spacious room with an extremely comfortable bed and lovely bathroom with a 'free standing bath'. Room was very well laid out with furniture and tasteful decorative features. We had a Juliette balcony that framed the view of the Neptune Harbour immediately outside the hotel front. The staff were very attentive and friendly, especially the Manager who greeted us and reassured us upon our arrival. Everything was conveniently located and there was a high standard of service and great quality food and a great range of dishes to choose from.

As wonderful as always. But a room with a Copper bath and Balcony - that I've been lucky enough to be upgraded to in the past - would be the ULTIMATE gift.

In some ways the hotel was great, the room was large and well decorated and the desk team welcoming. However, there is no parking, no irons and ironing boards in the room, no-one picked up when we dialled for service - we tried 8 times, the bathroom had considerable damp issues and all of this detracted from wanting to stay here again.

What a gem of a hotel, situated right on the harbour with views across the marina.the staff were all so friendly and helpful, happily going above and beyond to provide 'wows'. We only had a standard room, but, in line with the whole hotel, it was beautifully and quirkily furnished, clean and well appointed. So lovely also to be served a top quality breakfast, without self service at a buffet. Not cheap, but highly recommended. Overall probably the best hotel experience I have had! We have no plans to visit Ipswich again, but I'd love to be able to move this place around to wherever I plan to visit.

From check in to check out all of the staff were so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant, the food was amazing and it was a really relaxing and enjoyable experience. We had a marina view room which was large and beautifully decorated, very comfortable king size bed and large bathroom with gorgeous soaking tub and powerful shower. Would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend

We stayed 3 nights, i broke my toe getting out of the shower as its high, i didnt realise it till that night when i took my boot off i asked reception for some surgical tape which i got and told girl on there id done it before so i knew to tape the 2 toes together. My husband mentioned it to a manager in passing when he was at the bar and he said \" she did it before didnt she?\" , he didnt bother come over to me or ask how i was and it was not put in the accident book either, this in my opinion is very unprofessional and poor management , its not cheap in there and we paid top notch so expect a bit more courtesy even if he didnt care. I did say something when we checked out and the girl was also surprised at this . Disappointing to say the least .

Only thing that would have made it better this time was a complimentary upgrade and the £10 beverage credit being given - I did as the receptionist, and she stated it was, but from the invoice, it was obvious it had not been.

Had a wedding reception at Isaacs next door so took the opportunity to stay at this lovely hotel. Whilst the common areas are very well kept, the room left a bit to be desired. Looked tired and dirty in places and the bathroom leaked water into the room itself. Would have been fantastic at a £150-£180 price point but at well in excess of £200 not including breakfast this is way too expensive.

Other than constant wifi dropouts during a critical work call on the first evening, this a lovely stay.
Dinner and Breakfast can be a little slow and haphazard between staff, but if you're patient you will finally be served wondeful food.
I thought the cod meal on the first evening was a little minute considering the large price tag and other local meal offerings along the Harbour, but it tasted good.

The hotel is a very comfortable place to stay and situated conveniently overlooking the harbour. The staff were all friendly and courteous. The room was furnished to a high standard and did not feel at all like a routine hotel room.

Quirky inside with great service from everyone. Room was overlooking harbour and was really nice. Good area, parking on first come basis was ok as we arrived early. The Grazing Sheep cafe was a hundred yards around the harbour and did excellent breakfast (better than £14 pp at hotel). Had delicious and good value dinner in hotel on 5-6pm deal (£29 pp for 3 course dinner with glass of wine or cocktail included).
