The Best Western Ipswich Hotel and Spa is located in the quiet countryside, but is also just a stone’s throw from the A12 and A14, meaning easy access to all the major routes without the hassle of parking in town and looking that one and only parking space. All our guest rooms are furnished to a high standard, with our latest refurbishment having been completed in February 2017.

Sorry to say but won't stay here again. We had a shower that flooded the bathroom floor&a basin that filled with water that never went down. We had a lovely person who stayed the second night &had their tv on for the entire night&the walls are paper thin. Not the best place to stay.

Only downside was the noise, stairs people stomping around, plumbing water pipes were noisy, any time someone used the shower it would wake you up. Traffic noise and loud guests make it a less than acceptable stay for the cost. Definitely not again.

The bedroom had no air-conditioning the lounge room light didn't work no ice in fridge and manager couldn't speak English and downsized our room for 240 bucks a night i excepect air-conditioning in room and milk in fridge not little milk pods i would definitely rate at 3 star wouldn't start here again for price and value

The bedding and towels and cups - cleanliness was great. The door security chain was broken. It was difficult to understand the owners (Language accent). No breakfast on the weekend although that I was not advised before I came. The owners refunded the monies I paid for breakfast. The immediate gardens were beautiful.

I would struggle to give this place one star. It was filthy dirty, broken cracked tiles, damage throughout, disgusting stains of some sort on the lounge. The shower leaked and things like dirty curtains, dirt in corners of the room, a disgustingly filthy microwave oven. We felt we didn't want to touch or use anything or any surface in the room. We booked in late after a long drive, stayed one night of a two-night booking and left the next day. I have stayed at Best Westerns before and always found them clean and comfortable, but this place was terrible and had obviously not been cleaned thoroughly in some time. I will probably never stay with Best Western again after this experience. I'm sure Best Western would not like their name and reputation to be associated with a Motel that provides such a poor and dirty standard of accommodation,

Room had microwave but no cutlery and crockery, so whatever you were going to cook or heat you couldn’t eat as no cutlery.
No toaster.
Advertised pool, but it was not useable.
Advertised restaurant/bar but that was permanently closed. So, for just a room, I found it to be a bit on the expensive side.

As I was travelling with my assistance dog, I informed the hotel on booking the room, also requested a ground floor room. There was a fuss about the dog and I was out in an upstairs room because no-one had read my request, even though they had responded to the booking. I was then prevented from using the on site restaurant, again because of the dog. It is the obligation of hoteliers to understand the disability laws because being treated like that is embarrassing and discriminatory. Lovely people but ignorant of the rules. It made my stay somewhat uncomfortable.

It was exceptionally clean and the rooms were adequate. Advertised as the only property in Ipswich with full room service and dining. There was no room service for food and limited breakfast available in the dining room. Pool could not be used due to licensing issues. Overall a good clean place to stay and I’m guessing owners have not been there long and are working on facilities. Lovely peoplle

Unfortunately the price for the apartment was expensive for location when we can get an apartment in Brisbane City or Southbank for the same price. The tiles were sticky & slimey & had a couple of broken pieces of glass on the floor as well as in the bedroom, the kitchen sink blocked up, one of the bathroom towels had a big yellow stain on it & the base of the shower leaked outside the door & mildew on the ceiling as no ventilation just the window. Received a knock on the door around 9am on checkout day & it was housekeeping, checkout not till 10am, she went away & came back at 9.30 & we had to say we were just about to checkout ( not sure why that happened,). On the plus it's about 15min walk to town & we quiet

It was a convenient location, but unfortunately, no face washers, hand towels or tissues in the room. The fridge was on warm, so our ice packs didn’t freeze.

Very friendly staff, very clean, comfortable bed and a great hot shower. The room was very cosy and despite the cold and windy weather there was no need to put the heating on. Great blackout curtains that allowed a sleep in after a very late night and very close to the heart of Ipswich. Would stay again for sure.

No toaster, no microwave. Charged extra to upgrade room that wasn’t an upgrade at all. This was due to being disabled and unable to use stairs to go upper level. Required ground floor unit. Penalised for doing so. Quite unfair really.
