Worst night of sleep ever can hear everyone turning there light switches on and off, Lack of staff and didn’t seem to know what they were doing, beer glasses were dirty, breakfast was a help ur self no one there to help with issues for example the food was running out and it wasn’t being replaced and no milk, will not stay here again.

The morning after our first night. There was one young lady having to deal with the whole breakfast service on her own. She was amazing, considering the lack of support from higher ups.
All of the doors have their automation removed. Being a hotel with a more mature clientele, I spent most of my break there holding doors open. Booked a twin room through Expedia and ended up with a double. Luckily another guest in our party cancelled, so we used that room. Unfortunately my son got a knock on the door at 2300 with a stranger asking if the room was vacant!

we didn’t use the pool or spa but our impressions of the whole place were very good. staff were friendly and helpful. the one caveat was breakfast service. hard to find a cup! and the bread was of the ceiling tile variety. but otherwise the food was great. we’d stay again.

What an amazing experience for a fair and reasonable price, some of the amenities were undergoing refurbishment during our stay, however the amazing staff were very accommodating for this and allowed us a discounted rate for certain things we wasn’t able to experience to the fullest. We have been to a few spas in our time, I can honestly say the temple spa treatments we received at Ufford Park were sublime
Food was amazing (and I’m a very picky eater)
Golf course and general vibe was so relaxed and phenomenal
100% we will be returning again in the future

Had a lovely few days and was pleased with everything, from the standard double room to the breakfast (which was included in the price). There was plenty to choose from. However the latte ran out on our third day but a jug of cold milk was available to add to the black coffee. The friendliness and helpful staff at Ufford Park Resort.are to be commended. I accessed the spa and used the jacuzzi, pool and soft sauna which added to the relaxing experience. The hot sauna was out of order. I would not have used this anyway. Good value for money. It suits my budget for a decent place to stay in Suffolk. A good location to explore nearby towns as well as Southwold beach and Aldeburgh. I would definitely recommend it and I look forward to returning.

I rarely write reviews let alone poor ones but I can’t recommend anyone stay here! We wanted to test it before recommending to our wedding guests looking for hotels in the area and so glad we did. A terrible nights sleep the bed was SO uncomfortable, lumpy and hard and the pillows were ancient. Genuinely the worst we’ve ever had and we are usually able to sleep anywhere. Facilities very shabby and barely any staff to be found at breakfast and the bar - we could have looked past that if the bed was ok but honestly, do not stay here. Marking a 2 stars as at least it was cheap and the shower was good

I had a lovely large room with a wonderful view of the golf course. Generally the room was clean and tidy, but there were areas that looked a bit dreary. Carpet was threadbare in places.
The staff I had interaction with were friendly and welcoming and very helpful.

Ufford seems like it could be a great place to stay and while I did enjoy my time there, a few gripes really marred the experience.

Firstly the room felt tired and worn out. Bedclothes smelt musty and unwashed. The plug in the bath didn't work and had to operated with a spoon. The taps wobbled. A little TLC would go a long way.

The room tea and coffee were enough for one cup each.

The real kicker though was the breakfast service. Utterly chaotic, with staff milling around and no sense of control, each instruction or assistance came from other exasperated hotel guests. The hot breakfast items were taken away half filled are people were trying to get to them. The coffee machine was broken with a queue of 20 people while a number of staff hid behind the bar. I didn't bother going on my 2nd day.

More importantly. The staff do not make you feel welcome at all. They avoid eye contact and there is no sense of management presence at all. Maybe this was an Easter weekend issue. But a great hotel is the people who work there.

The pillows & bed were not that comfortable.
I told the receptionist that each time we had a shower, a large pool of water was on the floor!

Hotel facilities were superb.
However, there were a few things that weren't working in the pool.
We had a massage which was superb - thoroughly recommend.

We eat in the restaurant both nights; food was OK. Thought the fish & chips was greasy and chips not very appetising.
Saturday meal was a bit better.

The breakfast staff were superb. However, they were rushed off their feet and it didn't help that the coffee machine broke down both days!!
The coffee wasn't that great anyway!

So, a great weekend but we won't be visiting again.

A lot of areas in the spa were out of order so it was basically a pool & sauna.

Service in restaurant was poor and extremely slow. Food was generally good but not as described on the menu eg banoffee icecream was actually vanilla, and cherry cheesecake was actually strawberries & raspberries, neither of which was mentioned on ordering. But the worst was that one of our party had a large piece of greaseproof paper in their chicken pie. This meal was deducted from the bill but wasnt removed from the table and no substitute offered.

Walked in room wasn’t ready offered to sit in the bar and wait. It was like going back to the 80s Butlins style. Dated hotel nothing warm and friendly and very dated & gloomy reception area was clinical and hospital like! Walked through the bar and out of the exit. Got into car and didn’t go back. Such a shame as had booked for a surprise for my husbands birthday. So dissatisfied. People who say first impressions count well this did and disappointed! Lost the money I had paid! Have travelled so much and never walked out before!!

The hotel was generally comfortable and cosy. I enjoyed my 4-night stay but was disappointed by the cleanliness of the restaurant, including floor, tables and chairs. Only on the Monday morning did I witness a friendly, competent member of staff making an effort to improve and maintain the restaurant’s cleanliness. No matter the time of day, the restaurant floor was repeatedly found unvacuumed. In the room, the toilet bowl was clean, but the rim had not been cleaned for sometime. Overall I would return to the hotel as my stay was comfortable, but I hope the cleanliness would have been improved.

This was a short break for My wife and daughter as a treat.

The staff were not engaged at all and the service at breakfast each day was very poor.

They had to ask for bowls for cereal and the pastries had run out mid way through service and had to get more prepared.

Staff were not visible and tables left for long periods of time before eventually being cleared. They seemed very uninterested in making the stay a pleasure for the guests.

The one main dinner they had was adequate but not good.

The swimming pool changing rooms were not clean with toilets out of order and the smell of drains, towels very thin.

No shampoo in the rooms and curtains that didn't drawer easily. Towel rail was stained and looked old. The general condition of the room and hotel in general was poor.

I booked a deluxe room but it didn't look very deluxe.

It seemed like they were constantly penny pinching and suggested the resort is under serious financial pressure.

The mud treatment they booked was not worth it as the mud product was too dry and didn't spread across the skin. Most ended up on the floor as it dropped off.

All in all it was not the treat I hoped to give my wife and daughter and I am disappointed to have used my one key cash on it.

Beautiful room upgrade a surprise so lovey thank you overlooking the pond & golf course.
Breakfast sunday morning a nightmare no staff to assist, had to ask for cups, plates and fresh food as food was not being replenished quick enough for the amount of guests.
Tables not being cleaned away lots of guests waiting around for stuff.
1 guy in the restaurant running around when others should have been more attentive and doing their job. Need more staff or Manager needs to have a word and get them moving!!

This was our 5th visit to Ufford Park. We are always impressed. The rooms we choose have a balcony overlooking the golf course, are always clean and sufficient for what we need, with comfotable beds and a good shower. The balcony offers extra space during the warmer months. The breakfast offers a variety of food; cereals, rolls croissants, and a good english breakfast buffet. Hot drinks and juices are available. The lunch menu is good, and the diner menu has enough variety to have a different meal each night for several nights. The restaurant has comfortable seating, a good atmosphere, nice lighting and plenty of tables. The staff have always been polite, attentive and friendly. We've never used the golf course, the facilities have an indoor practice range, shop, as well as an 18 hole golf course with many bunkers and plenty of water. The spar facilities are also good. The swimming pool is a decent size, but can get crowded as it's popular, and the jacuzzi is fantastic. The gym is popular with members and visitors, and there are other spa/well-being services avaliable; beauty treatments, massage etc. We did use the thermal spa area once. It was good, but unfortunately at the time, some of it was out of order, and no partial refund was offered. Why only 4 stars? The bar/lounge area has changed over the years. We loved to sit on the many comfy sofas, spending hours relaxing with drinks and cakes in the lounge area. Now there are only 2 sofas left! Apart from that, its all good.

At breakfast the coffee machine took forever to make a cup of coffee resulting in long cues.

In my opinion this hotel was not up to its four star rating and will not be recommending it to friends and family.

Superior Double room was pretty good and spacious. Toilet seat (a replacement?) a little bit small for the pan😢 no semi skimmed milk sachets in the room, just full fat.
Breakfast staff very pleasant but provisions not topped up quickly enough, always felt like you were taking the last of everything. Not much choice generally, for example of fruit, no grapes or oranges for example. One type of yoghurt. Frozen berries and tinned mandarin a bit on the basic side. One hot drink machine not enough for the number of people and size of restaurant (always a queue) - just having a separate water boiler would help for those just wanting tea. No muesli out on all three days we stayed, asked day 1 and got some, but couldn't be bothered the other two days. Plates for your hot breakfast were stone cold.

The food in the restaurant was excellent and very generous portions. It was good to be able to use the spa facilities included in our package. Breakfast was good with a good selection of items hot and cold.
Down side was the furniture in the room was very dated and shabby. The carpet in the restaurant hadn't been cleaned from the night before, there was food still visible under the tables and on the floor generally.
But we would definitely recommend it.

upon arrival an hour and a half journey , we were told that there was no running water hot or cold and therefore no heating. We asked why they had not informed us of such and was told \" we thought it would be fixed by the time you arrived \" A pathetic way to go about things . We decided to go back home. There was an error (made by Hotels.com according to the hotel) regarding the booking; we booked a family room but there were none available. However, the hotel put camp beds in a large double room for us.
The room was a bit run down with damage over the shower and marks on the walls/ceiling (dried food?)
There was no shampoo or conditioner in the room but plenty of towels.
We used the pool twice but on the second day, after our swim, we discovered all the showers were out of use so had to take two young children back to our room to shower.
Food was nice-breakfast had many options.
There was a leak in our bathroom on the second day. This was cleaned up quickly but no apology.
Overall, hotel was quite tired and we were not overly impressed.
Difficult to raise concern regarding booking with Hotels.com regarding the issue with the family room (as stated hotel claimed this was an error with the third party we booked through).

Upon arrival was informed that I’d booked a classic room, when in fact I’d booked a family room. The lady on reception advised there was no family rooms available and offered a bigger room to put a cot or put you up bed in it. As I have a 6ft 17 year old, that wasn’t going to work. She then offered a second room free of charge. Beds uncomfortable, hot tap in bathroom sink came away in our hand when we tried to turn it on. Breakfast was limited and healthy options chargeable. Not what I was expecting of a four star hotel? Which is in desperate need of a refurb. Won’t be returning, very disappointing!

Room:Very comfortable & clean (except for a few cobwebs) No mini fridge but had extra pilows & a fan. Room was quiet & had a great nights sleep
Breakfast: Hot food selection and quality was great, continental quite limited but good quality. Unfortunately the coffee machine was temperamental and didn't really work, we had to use takeaway style paper cups due to there being a cup shortage! Staff were particularly helpful & friendly. Only recommendation would be to have a sign saying 'Seat yourself' as quite a few people were waiting to be seated.
Overall a good quality hotel at a reasonable price.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at Ufford Park. We had two lovely evening meals in the restaurant and the self service breakfasts were good too.
Our double room was warm and comfortable.
Of course Ufford Park is primarily a golfing resort but we used it as our base to visit Sutton Hoo and Aldeburgh, and we spent a day shopping in Ipwich (not recommended) and Colchester (excellent).

A lovely clean, bright room with plenty of provisions. Very friendly staff. Evening meal was great. Everywhere looked well-maintained.
The upgrade room was the icing on the cake.
