I cannot fault this property. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean and fresh to a great standard of decoration (much like the rest of the hotel) and the breakfasts were delicious. We will definitely return when we stay in the Lakes next time.

A character-full period property in an impressive setting, with parking space provided. Everything was clean and tidy.The breakfast room has some great views of the surrounding landscape. The breakfast itself was delicious and plentiful. There is also a lounge room downstairs which has a shared fridge and a free espresso maker in for use throughout the day. Our bedroom was a decent size, comfortable and ckean. The bed and bathroom, shower etc. all good.
What really stood out for us though, were the staff. All very friendly and helpful and helped make our stay very pleasant.

A note for EV users- There is an EV charger (slow - 7kw) available on site for 60p per kWh, which we made use of to top up. Although if you visit the nearby Underscar manor spa during your visit (you can get a free pass for the spa from the hotel) , they have slow pod point chargers there for around 30p per kwh. We made use of these too, but you have to install an app on your phone for these and preload the money for them.

Had a good shower, lovely large fluffy towels and quality toiletries. Breakfast was also superb with a good selection. Would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely property conveniently located on a hill overlooking Keswick and near the many attractions in and around Keswick. Our room was substantial with a comfortable bed and sitting area. Breakfast was tasty and varied, eagerly accommodating a special request. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Definitely recommend and would stay here again on a return visit.

From the minute we arrived, we received the warmest of welcome. A family run hotel and everyone was so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and coffee and cake served in the lounge. We had an absolutely excellent stay. The food was outstanding, every meal was beautifully prepared. The staff could not do enough for us throughout our visit; they were warm, attentive, and made us feel completely looked after from start to finish.

We had the most wonderful stay at The Grange Country House. Our room was clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view out over the gardens. The breakfasts were freshly made each day and delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - I can’t remember the last time I received such great service. Location was excellent, a quick 10/15 min walk into town. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to or recommend this hotel. Thank you!

The setting overlooking the mountains was beautiful and quiet. The B&B itself is wonderful, well kept up and very clean and comfortable. The owners were very nice, helpful and accommodating. Plenty of parking. Breakfast served promptly and was delicious. Getting into Keswick is walkable but uphill on the return (we chose to drive into town). Overall, a wonderful place to stay!

It is an uphill walk from town, but very worth it for the hospitality we received from Mark, Sally, Max, Adam and Jaime.

Tea/coffee and biscuit were replenished daily. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, with lots of local advice - we couldn’t have chosen a better guest house for our Lake District break. This is the second time that we have stayed at this property and will do again if we return to Keswick. The bedrooms are a great size, breakfast is delicious and the staff cannot do enough to look after you from arrival to departure. The communal living room with boardgames and free cake is a lovey touch. Parking is on the property.

If you’re fit it’s a 10 - 12 minute walk down into the town 20 minutes back (it’s a bit of a pull up the hill).

The B&B is in an excellent location, with a 15 min walk into the centre of Keswick. The breakfast is very nice and the staff are really helpful. Free passes to the spa is a great touch and exactly what we needed after a long walk. I'd highly recommend staying that this B&B.

Views were fantastic! The distance from town was ideal, we walked everywhere and never needed the car! Had some fantastic walks, and we were able to pop back to the guest house in the afternoons, before heading out in the evening!
Parking was great and though we had a smaller room without much of a view, it was perfect for us. Amazing breakfast and excellent staff, nothing was too much trouble.

Welcoming family run B+B. The building is maintained to a high standard, the views are astounding and it's in a good location for walking the fells.
The highlight really is the staff, everyone is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the local area. They also take the time to speak to you and are welcoming from the moment you are greeted. This is a lovely B&B with a nice lounge area and excellent breakfast. The weekend I stayed there was a problem with the heating and, despite the efforts of Reception, including putting two oil filled radiators in my room, my attic room always felt rather miserable. Breakfast is of a high standard but the precision with which it must be ordered a day ahead right down to how many slices of toast can be a bit off putting. It is clearly well intended from a sustainability perspective but a card to complete would make it easier to enjoy breakfast each day.

The Grange is a wonderful place to stay. Our room was immaculately well presented and provided us with everything we needed. The breakfast is delicious, offering excellent variety (for vegetarians/vegans too). The views from the dining room, over Keswick and beyond, are spectacular. We loved the location just away from the vibrant town centre which allowed us to walk or drive to where we wanted to be each day. Amazing stay. Customer service is out of this world. The team go above and beyond to facilitate.
The view is absolutely stunning even in rough weather. The walk into Keswick is simple and about 20 minutes (it is slightly hilly), but absolutely fine! Breakfast was stunning. Alll the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

We were upgraded to a larger room on the ground floor, which was much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable, the room was warm, and there was plentiful tea, coffee and biscuits. The shower room was a little small for the size of the room but it was clean and everything worked.

The B&B is about a 15 minute walk to Keswick, and the breakfasts had good options and were very well made.

We would happily stay there again!

We had a wonderful weekend at The Grange Country House at the end of September! We were running a little late on Friday, but when we called ahead, Michael couldn’t have been more accommodating. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed — every member of staff was so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.

Our room was great, with lovely views and a really comfortable bed — we slept so well! Breakfast was amazing, with everything fresh and locally sourced. We also really enjoyed the cake they made.

There’s plenty of parking, and excellent location with only a short walk into Keswick.

We will definitely be coming back here the next time we visit Keswick!

On arrival the greeting was so welcoming. We had also had an upgrade in room. The room spotless and a gorgeous view of the well maintained garden. The breakfast was amazing with both a choice of fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt. Then a coked breakfast with several choices of either full cooked or eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs and bacon, eggs Florentine also vegetarian choices. This was an outstanding experience.

Lovely place to stay in Keswick, a little bit from the town centre for walking but a very short distance from the bus route into town and elsewhere. Nice room and facilities, food fantastic and the staff simply can't do enough for you. We would certainly highly recommend this accommodation without any hesitation.
