The rooms were remodeled, clean and very nice. The only thing I did not like is there was not enough water pressure in the shower and it took a long time for the water to get hot staff was very friendly. All the amenities were great. The restaurant staff was friendly and accommodating. We stay there every year and I will definitely be back.

The hotel is really old. The sheets and pillows smells dirty, horrible, we need to look for the cleaning lady and call more than twice to the front desk in order to have the room \"clean\". Every time when the A/C turn on, smell as death animal, next to our bedroom was the utility room, 24/7 we can hear the noise of the pumps and pipes; impossible to sleep. The hotel does not has elevator.
Restaurant service and staff is the best from the hotel. Excelent service and food. Congrats Capitan Dario and rest of the restaurant staff. We'll continuing going just to the restaurant.

As an Mexican American and as someone who just came to visit after 18 years, it was a little jarring to see many security in the hotel. We arrived late one night and the gate was closed and nothing upsetting, just everything took me by surprise.

Close to public transportation to downtown Mty.

Hotel was overall great and very clean. Staff very professional and surprisingly close to downtown Monterrey if you take public transportation which is only MXN$4.50 (USD$0.25)! Nice bars within walking distance if you want to grab a drink or quick bite. A bit disappointed with the transportation to the airport, this was the main reason I booked 7 nights at this hotel; the fact that they would provide transportation to the international airport and didn't. The staff didn't ask me if I would need transportation to airport when I checked in and had no idea I had to book a few days in advance. I tried to set it up the night before I left and didn't get an answer. I checked 3 times the next morning I was leaving and they could still not get an answer of whether I could get transportation to the airport. They finally told me they could get me to the airport three hours before I had to check in, so I said no thanks. I ended up taking an Uber and paying my own way to the airport. The website is misleading, looked like they only have two vans and not sure who they prioritized to use the vans. Anyway, I would not use their hotel transportation as a selection criteria to stay at this hotel. Other than that, the cleaning ladies are awesome! Pool looked a little dirty, but room looked great every single day we were there!

Staff needs training or better direction.

A friend and I visited this hotel over the weekend, 4/28/2017 through 4/30/2017. Based on the proximity to what I need to do while visiting Monterrey and prior recommendations, I have chosen this hotel three times over the last 2 years, unfortunately the experience keeps declining every time. The front desk staff speaks very limited English (to say the least) and it is very hard to communicate with them, there is also no express check out, if they are busy this could take some time to do, plan accordingly. This time the parking attendant was rude and nosy; he questioned us about hair care product in the car and even after we showed him the item then he questioned why the car smelled, and before I knew it, he had his head inside the window sniffing until I asked with an assertive tone \"What is the problem?\" and he changed his attitude and opened the gate. When tried to address this with front desk, it was received with deaf ears. Based on this experience, I will not be choosing this hotel when visiting, nor will I recommend it to people I know. There are other hotels in the area like Best Western right across the street or a Wyndham about a block away. Choose wisely!

We were satisfied with our stay. The hotel is older and the bathroom didn't appear clean, but a brush with a wet towel showed that it was clean - just stained instead of dirty. There was sticky paint on the door that at first seemed like a dirty sticky stain. Stuff like that is easy to fix if they wanted to.

I typically stay at Holiday Inn's but this was one of the worst Holiday Inn's I have stayed at in 5 year. Not renovated. Bathroom was moldy. The room had accumulated dirt and grim throughout. And the kicker? The wifi was horrendous. In a 2 night stay I had a total of 20 mins of actually working Wifi. It limited me from being able to be on skype calls, conference calls and perform my job.

Breakfast is very good but at extra charge. Next to elevated train that takes you to sights at city center. Serveral restaurants and two shopping centers within walking distance.

Remarkably long hallway to get to my room. Perhaps the longest hotel hallway I have ever seen, and my room was at the very end. This would normally not be a problem, as exercise is always good, and since it was ground floor there was no waiting for elevators. However, it was a bit annoying when I realized during a business meeting in the restaurant that I had forgotten something in the room and had to jouney back to get it.

Live music in the bar at night was nice. Buffet food in restaurant was very good. Staff was excellent.

Bad neighbordhood! Very loud hotel, never could find silence!

Jorge, the front desk manager was not as helpful as I would have hoped for. I asked him to help me find my frequent traveler number, he said he would, and get back to me and never did. I asked him at the time we checked in to PLEASE MAKE SURE we had a quiet and peaceful room, he said yes, and clearly did not care about it since he put us (my husband and I) in a room that not only was right on the way of EVERYBODY and when I say everybody....
I mean, we had hulagans screaming and running around ALL night (atleast until 5 am) both nights! Besides that, the room was not quiet to start with as we could hear the \"terrible band\" playing downstairs until almost 1 am. The hotel is located blooks away from a university and it is full of bad mannered students! Brakfast buffette was good. We won't stay in this hotel again.

Holiday Inn Norte has a lot to offer from the lounge bar to the pool-side bar with food service. Room service was prompt and the torilla soup was delicious. I loved the Internet connection in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was tasty; I especially loved the chilaquiles. I walked to the nearby grocery store and the ice cream shop was close-by. The exercise/gym room was well-equipped, clean, and stocked with towels. The hotel staff was friendly.
