Firstly the staff are super friendly and helpful, however the hotel has three major flaws; 1) the air-conditioning is old and as loud as a jet engine, so you can't hear anything or or make calls while it is on, 2) the worst quality/speed internet I've every experienced, you basically sign into a hotspot and it's unsecure, and it drops off and you will end up trying to sign in 100 times a day, again no streaming or video calls, 3) it is listed as having a gym but every single piece of equipment is from the dump/trash and broken and doesn't work. The only thing in the gym not broken were four solatary dumbbells.

great central location for ubering. close to barrio antiguo but not too close. great market shopping all around. parking a bit tight with a half ton truck. seemed perfectly safe. food options very limited, yogurt and bread, but a full menu is available n cheap. beds were ok, probably shouldve asked for more pillows.

Our stay was real good. The hotel was very clean and the employees were very attentive. The hotel was very close to the Macroplaza. We walked back and forth without any issues. The hotel counts with free parking space and continental breakfast.

Very good option at affordable price

The place was really clean and nice, the service was really good and people that works there were very courteous and kind.
What I did not like was the parking lot was kind of small for a SUV truck, and the breakfast is not a buffet and the portion was really small, you have to choose between a very small piece of bread or a very small portion of fruit
Overall it was good and definitely I would stay again or recommend it to friends

Awesome staff

Arrived at 3am. Check in is till 3pm. We arrived too early! But,the front desk employee called all other Best Westerns to try to find us a place to rest for few hours. We left to explore town. Returned at 11am and were given a room. 4 hours before check in.
Front desk staff at all shifts were awesome. The immediate blocks around the hotel are not safe to be out and about. One day we were about to go get dinner at about 8pm. The frobt desk employee had a driver take us to where we needed to go so we wiuld not walk. The driver, Efrian, took us to a restaurant and to a bakery to grab dessert. Not onmy did he take us, but he went for us 2 hours later when we were ready to head back to hotel.
Rooms are ok, nothing special. Location is not the best but not too bad. Conti ental breakfast is only fruit and coffee. What made this stay awesome was the staff!
Mercado Juarez is 2 blocks. Recommend Los Frijoles Restaurant 2 blocks behind hotel.

Downtown Hotel close to mercados

If you are looking for a budget hotel, look no further.

This hotel is located in the downtown area. The area is not the cleanest nor nicest. During the day, from 10am-6pm, it is full of people and sometimes it is hard to walk around on the sidewalk. It seems everyone closes at about 8pm, and the streets soon become deserted. Later than that, it's almost creepy because there are few people, if any on some of the streets. Nothing happened to me, but I tried to avoid outside at dark, and when I did leave, I just went to the 7-11 which is 2 blocks away, and just kept aware of who's around.

The hotel itself is alright, it's clean, the staff is fine. The room was alright...but the fixtures are old and well, hard to use. They provide shampoo and soap only. There's a safe, but mine did not work. There's a mini-fridge. The bed was semi-comfortable, but the pillows are too soft. There's a window, but it's not a blackout curtain so light will come through. There's about 50 channels on the tv, a few English. There is a free breakfast, but I didn't try it, since it was I think it was a plate of fruit, a piece of bread and a drink...that's it and it's not buffet style. There's a restaurant that shares this space so the public can enter as well.

A Good Hotel with some problems

I stayed at the Best Western Centro for two nights as a tourist in Monterrey. This hotel is showing its age. There is a sign in the hotel room warning that the tap water is not potable. I was given a room directly on the street which is busy at all hours of the day. The service staff is excellent which does help offset the other problems. I would recommend a newer hotel in the area.

Beware!!! Disgusting hotel!!!!

This hotel is very disgusting. I've stayed near that area so I though it would be relatable but it wasn't, it was just on the wrong side. The room was dirty, no comforters or fitted sheets, matress was stained with what looked to be blood, stains on the floor carpet, and smell... I know! It's a bestwestern! But oh boy, we left the very next morning and missed out on the rest of our stay.

Although the staff was kind, the hotel service was terrible. It didn't have elevator. The towels were very old, the lights will buzz after a certain use making it impossible to keep them on. The room wouldn't get cleaned in the morning. Sometimes the cleaning service will go around 3pm or later. The taxis will charge double fee if they were called from the hotel. The restaurant was not big enough to fit all guest at breakfast time. the shower will wet the wall more than us. It was certainly awful to stay there. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

The staff was excellent particularly Miguel-Angel who miraculously was able to fix my ridiculous Apple phone to get wifi. He then realized that I was having surgery so he made sure to always ask if I needed anything extra, every time. He helped us order food in when the hotels restaurant was closed on Sunday and helped us find reliable taxi service. He was an upstanding gentleman. The only negative thing about the hotel is that it is in need of a facelift. My room carpet was horribly stained and the ac only worked if the window was opened or it would feel like the jungles of South America. Humidity was insane. The towels are very old. But for the most part if those things don't bother you then you'll be fine. By the way there was no mini fridge or microwave or coffee refill setup(coffee machine was there). There is no bottom level or handicapped room so consider that if you're going for medical tourism like I did. But they do have an elevator. So that's why I said Miguel-Angel did everything in his power to make my stay comfortable, he gave me the room above the front desk closest to the elevator and a plastic chair for the shower. Thanks to Eva who did her best at cleaning and sticking us with water. Very professional and courteous staff. Lots of available shopping clothing, herb botanical stores arts n crafts and groceries and corner stores like gas stations plus lots of pharmaceutical stores.

Overall it is an ok hotel. The staff is nice and helpful. Although the communication is challenging because they speak only Spanish. The hotel's condition is ok too, but nothing extra. My room was clean and comfortable. Only the mattress seemed a little old.

Room had a wierd smell. Carpet was old. Horrible bed... Old mattresses with hard springs and they tried solving it by putting a \"puffy\" sheet on top of the mattress.... bad solutions! you feel all the springs.... Just get new mattresses. Pillos are kind of hard and old. At night is loud in the hotel. The elevator make loud noises and is bad if your room is close.
Breakfast is ok but the continental breakfast is just sugar bread or fruits.
Bad internet conection. There is only one router for the entire building and if it is full there is no way to get access.... you have to go to the lobby to get conection! bad!

El equipo del hotel destacó por su calidez y atención al turista.
Las instalaciones podrían actualizarse; recomendaría aire acondicionado en el lobby.
La presión de agua en regadera y lavamanos fue excelente y siempre hubo agua caliente.
La limpieza cumple, aunque tiene margen de mejora.
La ubicación es práctica para quienes van al centro. Fuera de esa zona, el entorno puede ser caótico por el comercio informal; por la noche se percibe desolado y con presencia de personas en situación de calle. Sugerencia: moverse en horarios diurnos y planear rutas hacia zonas más tranquilas.

En la aplicación elegí habitación para 3 personas, y cuando llegue al Hotel me dijeron que solo fue para dos, y que tenía que pagar por una persona extra, como si fuera hotel de quinta, una experiencia terrible, y el
Hotel ya está muy viejo, y los colchones no están más vencidos porque ya no pueden.
