Wow! From the moment you drive in you’re transported into a tranquil setting. We stayed for one short night (wish we had more time). We had dinner at the mill and a glass of wine and the pub on the property.
The hot tub/sauna area did close at 6pm so we didn’t get to enjoy them. Wish I would have known that.
The staff as super friendly and our rooms were lovely. We stayed in the lily pond room, which felt new. Its was lovely! Would definitely come back if you are looking for a quite tranquil stay.

Overall the property and setting are beautiful, incredible dinner and lovely bar and breakfast experience - really nice spaces to enjoy at different stages of stay. Staff very nice and helpful. Thermal spa a lovely oasis. Bikes available to borrow to explore the adjacent canal path.

Great location. Absolutely beautiful complex. Fun to bike ride along the grand Canal. The little shop for coffee and drinks was very convenient.

The stay at the cliff was amazing. As soon as you check in they send a porter to your vehicle to get your luggage and bring it to your room. The bed at the cottage we stayed in was super comfortable, the refrigerator had complimentary bottles of still and sparkling water. Anything you needed the staff took care of. The property itself is beautiful, we went around Christmas and New Years and the entire property was decorates with lights. The food was amazing, both breakfast and dinner. They also have a little cafe with delicious sandwiches and baked goods, they we enjoyed during lunch. Highly recommend staying here.

Everything was excellent, I could not have one complaint , we had dinner on the first night in the Mill restaurant, could not fault there, and then thought how much better could Aimsir be , this is miles ahead of anything I’ve ever tried, food was outstanding, all in all what a wonderful place

We have styed at this property just over a year ago, and really enjoyed every minute of our stay. Which is why we decided to book it again for our more recent visit as it had been such a magical, luxurious and special experience.
This time we were disappointed, we stayed in an apartment, just over the reception area.
It was on the upper floor over a coffee shop. There was no one to take our bags to our room, the appartment was cold and we smelt hint of tobacco smoke. The furniture in the main area didn't seem too luxurious, infact, the decor of the main room was bear and a bit dirty, it seemed as if it was thrown together with odds and ends left over from other rooms. The bathroom had no bath, but the shower was wonderful. There were no robes left out so I rang down to reception. I found makeup on the shelf over the radiator and noticed a black tooth brush down at the side of the sink which seemed to be there a while, the floor was very dusty. The kitchen was not very well equipeted, no tea towels, pots and only one pan. We ate in the first night and I had to wash the trays in the oven because a fish cake from a previous guest was stuck to the underbase. The lighting in the main room was really poor to read under so we had to bring two lamps in from the bedroom. We later had to call reception to fix the heating as it still it hadn't been turned on.We ate at the Orangerywhich was woderful we enjoyed the grounds, and staff were very friendly. Room not as luxurious this time

This property is absolutely beautiful and unique. The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms stunning. We would return despite the following: the washer dryer unit had standing, moldly water in it. Sadly, we did not realize it until we had thrown clothes into the disgusting, smelly water. The staff responded to our call but were not able to send for maintenance personnel because it was a Sunday evening. We were left with hand washing our clothes in an attempt to remove the horrible smell. Then, we had to travel with a bag of wet clothes on our overseas flight the next day. Next time we will check the washer before throwing the clothes in!

Disappointed but still a beautiful property
The property is stunning- every detail is perfect. Our room was not good. Do not stay in the Lavery suite, it looks nothing like the advertised Estate rooms and rather is a dark mildewy place. My husband called it the dungeon (that cost 250 euro). Staff was nice but seemed disorganized. We were overcharged as well. Great property but need to organize themselves better and be very clear.about the different type of estate rooms. We were very disappointed about some aspects of our stay and delighted by others.

Overall excellent. The cottages are exceptional, we brought our 4 month old and sitting out the back with the stream flowing by in the morning was beautiful. Check-in was a little stressful as the cottage wasn't ready until nearly 5pm and we had a baby waiting for his bottle but we got a late checkout the next day (1pm) which helped with making up for that. The staff couldn't do enough and thanks to the girl at the front desk who went to the kitchens to sterilise bottles when they wouldn't fit in the microwave in the cottage!

THE WEARING OF THE GREEN!
A FIRE SENSOR IN THE ROOM HAD A BRIGHT GREEN LIGHT WHICH WAS FULL ON, ALL NIGHT, OPPOSITE THE BED . THE ROOM WAS ILLUMINATED WITH A BRIGHT GREEN GLOW ALL NIGHT. WE DID NOT GET THE BEST OF SLEEP. GROUND FLOOR ROOM MEANT LACK OF PRIVACY WHEN CURTAINS WERE OPEN AS VISITORS TO THE GROUNDS WERE PEERING IN LITERALLY AS WE SAT IN BED. ASIDE FROM THIS THE HOTEL SERVICE AND FACILITIES WERE OUTSTANDING.

A treat in a unique property
Unique property with accommodation set in beautiful houses. Grounds are fabulous. Beside a canal for great walks and bikes available. Breakfast was served to table which meant everything was freshly cooked. Some renovations going on to add additional restaurant which will be a good addition.

Hotel is excellent and the grounds are beautiful and perfectly maintained. Breakfast was delicious and the quantity was spot on. A walk along the canal was lovely after it. Only downside was that the chef couldn't make a sandwich up for us the evening we checked in, only what was on the menu was available but would still highly recommend.

We had an incredible time at the Cliff at Lyons. Absolutely beautiful, serene and charming. There is an artful touch around every corner. The staff was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Dining there is a wonderful and tasty experience even breakfast was made so special we ate there every morning we were there. Why go anywhere else!? I hope to stay there again. What an amazing stay. We got married here in 2014 and spent our 3rd wedding anniversary here just recently. The staff cannot be faulted for their great service, a big shout out to Gerard Eager in conference and banqueting who really went above and beyond for us to have a great evening in the bar trying the various whiskeys, tequilas and vodkas form around the world. The hotel itself is just picturesque and beautiful and the food is divine. Will definitely be back whenever we can get another booking! :)
