One of my best hotel experiences ever, in terms of guest services. The staff went out of their way to take care of guests. The location is also unbeatable, within a few minutes of the Dubai Mall and access to lots of places of interest .

Excellent hotel. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment which was super spacious. So close to Dubai Mall which is amazing and the Burj. An awesome supermarket just inside the Mall entry to grab dinner to go or groceries. Irish Murphys pub close by for a good burger and alcohol if that’s what you are looking for. No alcohol served at the Mall restaurants

I stayed here for 5 nights with my family (husband, mother in law and 2 kids). I have booked 2 bedroom apartment, which is very spacious, clean, and everything you need is inside the room. each bedroom with its own bathroom, and there is an extra washroom outside.
The washing machine is great! we can wash & dry our clothes.
We can have our dinner / night snack around the table with 5 seats and utensils.
Staying in here just feel like home! Two supermarkets just downstairs, you can just get anything you wants. What'smore and in a surprise that is, you just need to cross a road and you will reach dubai mall in a minute!!

Everyday, we enjoyed our breakfast in M floor. Although it seems not much choice for the breakfast buffet area, it did include everything you need for an all day breakfast and more!! What's more, don't forget to order your breakfast main dish (e.g. avacado sandwich, indian bread with curry, Eggs Benedict).
The staff in the restaurant is very nice & helpful, special thanks to Khin, Isuru and Mitch (i am not sure if i spell her name right), they sincerely introduced different types of breakfast to me, so that i could nearly try them all during my stays.
Housekeeping team is also very considerate!! We didn't ask, but they noticed that we travelled with young kids, they have arranged the 2 double bed joined together, so that we have a gaint bed to sleep for 3.

I will definitely recommend to my friends and book again here when i travel to Dubai in the future.

The hotel does not pull in 5 stars in any way: old, strongly smelling of cigarette smoke rooms (although they booked a non-smoking room), poor breakfast, poor service (the room key often did not work, I had to spend a lot of time at the reception), wifi is very slow. The only advantage of the hotel is its proximity to the Dubai mall. The price does not correspond to the quality at all.

Two small general store within 50 metres

Having visited this hotel often and frequently come back time and time again I’d have to say after having a break for over a year from the hotel I could see the standards had unfortunately dropped. If you’re looking for more of a self service property then perfect. Self serve towels at the pool, hale your own taxi, open your own doors entering the hotel, in the heat of June waiting for the waiter to come over and offer water at the pool didn’t happen until they were waved down which took 10-15mins. This would all be fine if it was advertised as services apartments but it’s still for the word hotel on the name. location is fab! Staff are truly lovely and helpful but need training. There seems to be a huge emphasis on Google reviews being pestered by several staff members to scan the we code and leave a review.

LOVE this place!!!

The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Concierge was great with suggestions and getting tickets without making us feel pushed. The breakfast was excellent with an array of options and willingness to make something specific for guests. Loved everything about it!!! Location was also really convenient for accessing the Dubai Mall and things of interest. Easy to grab an Uber or taxi to head out into the city too. Honestly this place gave us the comfort of a home with the luxury of vacation. Will definitely stay here again!!!

Firstly the location is excellent for walking to most attractions in that area.

The hotel is clean with highly professional staff. Check in was a breeze and the receptionist Frankline was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable about the hotel and amenities.

He provided great tips for getting about and having a safe time whilst visiting.

The breakfast bar provided many options and being vegan the gentleman in charge ensured that my requests were met. He even went above and beyond to have a vegan option available for my breakfast the next morning.

Additionally, I mentioned that it was my husband’s birthday and he kindly sent over a lovely treat for him.

The 2 bedroom apartment we occupied was always clean and comfortable. Everything was well placed and tidy.

My 10 year old enjoyed the chocolate fountain each day between 16 -17:00.

Having stayed at another two hotels in downtown Dubai, I can absolutely say without a doubt that this hotel is amazing.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel to travellers either solo or family visiting for business or leisure.

The hotel is very well located, just a block to the connecting corridor to the Dubai Mall, very convenient. I wanted to thank the staff (reception, concierge and spa) for its outstanding job. They always focused on providing a great customer service and ensured our stay was pleasant. They also helped us to get our Covid test results on time contacting the lab. We really recommend this hotel and appreciate the work of the staff!

Had to wait in the queue for 45 mins to Check- In as their was only one staff a the reception. He took 45 mins to deal with one client only. Our Check in was pretty slow as well. We booked two units of two bedroom apartments, they said they were full and gave us in two different floors, however upon requesting several times on our 9 nights stay they didnt bother to change our room or inform us anything..we needed to go and check and they were less bothered. Only good staff they have is in vallet and conceirge, they are well behaved and courteous..
13th floor after getting out of the lift it looks so dirty abd smelled horrible probably the carpet was wet for months.
Housekeeping was good too..
Overall experience is not so good in the hotel compared to its location..

Our stay at Mövenpick Downton was absolutely fantastic! From the first moment, Sheina from the reception gave us a warm, nice welcome and upgraded our room to one with view to the Burj Khalifa. Astonishing! We are very, very thankful. Also Arslan and Muhi, the guys from the cleaning service did a wonderful and precise job, being both very kind and helpful! And also until last moment Grace from reception was kind and very pleasant! Breakfast was astonishing , swimming pool installations are amazing. Gym was good but can have a Smith machine or a Squat-Bench press rack with little more free weights such as barbells. With that it should be fantastic . The rooms are more than wonderful! So we’ll equipped and isolated! And the location couldn’t be better. Absolutely a MUST in Dubai

i have stayed in Movenpick Hotel Apartments Downtown Dubai for 21 nights in March 2021.
I have already experienced their hospitality when I checked in. The frontdesk staff gave me loads of tips and arranged me early checkin.

The room is large, the window can be opened. There are stove, oven, microwave, big fridge, and combined washing and drying machine in my rooms and they all worked well.

The housekeeping staff are superb, they did their job well. I would like to thanks YouRai and Burhan.

The breakfast package is affordable, the food is OK. I really appreciate the staff working in the cafe. They serve you the buffet and pick the food for you.

Because of the COVID pandemic, we are all hygiene cautious. The hotel is really upto standard. Hand sanitiser is assessable, all staff wear face mask properly, you can find the sign of keeping social distance everywhere. They clean the gymnasium frequently, and they place the detergent there, so you can do your extra round.

It is not luxurious hotel but it is in great location (10 mins walk to Dubai Mall), clean condition and well equipped. It is a good choice for long stay and family trip.

The room, pool, and gym were really nice, I also got a massage in the spa which was fantastic. Everything was clean and of high quality.

The room had a kitchen but there was no plates, cutlery or anything to cook with. Similarly there was no washing powder available for the washing machine.

The service from the hotel wasn't great. They put me in the wrong room and were very slow to get another room ready the next day, which made me late for an important work call. They also called my room at 1:30am (!) after they forgot to collect payment after I checked in. The hotel manager called to apologise for this and putting me in the wrong room. She said they would get back to me on what they could offer as an apology. I never heard back from her.

The only matter to check for is the cleanines of the blanket sheets, it had some black dirt etc on it 2 out of the 4 nights. Location is good, walking distance from dubai mall/fountains. The service was very good in this hotel, and the hotel is very modern too. I was really positively surprise about the amount of choices in breakfast and the overall quality of it. The staff serving the breakfast were friendly and thank you specially for Ana.

New but disappoonting service not for westerners

Hotel is new but is very unpersonal starting with lobby: 2 benches and limited seating option no music or fragrance diffuser, gloomy atmosphere, restaurant hidden to avoid eye contact, no bar. Rooms could be more Dubai themed too you could be anywhere in the world, no mini bar (even soft). I would not advise this hotel for westerners, the pictures on website suggest it is very westernised while it is not (no harm with this but blonde women at gym must be exceptions). Wifi completely misleading = accor wifi in a movenpick.

Check in was too long, only 3 desks o.w 1 empty, no concierge in peak hour, only 1 staff visible from 11pm. Checking in at 8.30 pm, i had to wait for 10 minutes with locals cutting the queue to ask for other services. Staff saw i was patiently waiting with my luggage but did not invite me at check in, no eye contact or personal greeting, this is way below Dubai standards which are usually great.

I complained online and got personal contact and apologies which felt good and professional.

A fairly new apartment hotel within walking distance of the famous Dubai Mall. Amazing for shopping, eating and watching the fountain display with music.
As our plane arrived early every effort was made to let us occupy our room before the usual check-in at 3 pm for which we were extremely grateful.
An extra occupancy charge enabled us to stay until 6pm on the day of our departure so that we could
arrive at the airport well rested.
The hotel offers a free 'chocolate hour' in the afternoon where guests are able to sample lots of delicious cakes at their leisure.

The Hotel is near the Dubai Mall. provides excellent service but we had issues with the noise from adjacent construction sites that will dominate this area for years into the future. We moved rooms once and had some issues with a neighbor wanting to play music beyond 1:00am which we felt was unacceptable. The Hotel is dry and unable to serve alcoholic beverages for westerners which is not made clear in the hotel advertisements.
