Not recommended

We booked for 5 nights and left after the second night. We wanted to leave from the first night actually.
The apartments look different from the pictures. Much older and the cleanness of washrooms can be better. The lobby is too small and the way to/from the hotel isn’t easy during the day due the traffic.
We got charged more than what mentioned here on Hotels.com and when we asked about it and requested to match the price they just ignored it.

The breakfast is very poor more like a 2 stars hotel.
We requested a refund for the rest of the night as we didn’t want to stay longer and they rejected it. We moved to another hotel and just left it with 3 nights already paid.

We like the customer service. Only turn off was the hotel room aircon was too dusty. You can see it from a view as well. And our room was close to a garbage room and smell was terrible. I did mention that to front desk and they placed a humidifier to make the smell better. But it was done only for 1 day. And the rest of the days we have to endure the smell.

Great location downtown with Dubai Mall and the Burj within 15 mins walk. Our room was fantastic with an incredible view of the Burj. Very happy with our stay the only downside was the area was quite loud at night with cars revving and horns blaring constantly as well as building work next door. Overall a great stay :)

Having transferred from Radisson Blu, this felt like a serious downgrade. Property is OK with good views. But lacks a soul. Lack of a restaurant was a huge disappointment. They are however very helpful with transport and taxis and this was a huge help.

Good: lots of things. Damac Distinction is walking distance to the Dubai Mall, Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa. Like, under 10 minutes walkable. If that’s the area you want to be, it’s really one of the best apartment style hotels. It’s pretty fair priced (although Dubai hotels and apartment rentals are generally not bad). There is a 24hr grocery store within 5 minutes of a walk. Ubers and taxis are always right there. Just a great spot. Hotel is also 15-20 minutes from the airport. It was fairly clean and the staff did their best. They were pretty sharp and offering to print out my Covid test results ahead of flights.

Cons: Building itself is pretty standard. One restaurant downstairs and a small lobby. There is an average gym and spa that I tried to
take advantage but it’s ok. There is construction all around and it’s off a major road but it’s not too loud. Nothing too pretty in the immediate block surrounding other than a cute park (good if you have kids).

Overall I recommend it. If you’re trying to spending less than $300/night and need an apartment with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen I’d say this is a good choice.

The only good thing about this property is location, everything else was horrible. Nothing works in the room, sockets don’t work. Washer dryer machine doesn’t work and when they finally switched it out it the clothes still come out dirty and smelly. The tv is messed up the volume turns on 100 automatically then down to 0 automatically. Towels were old poor condition. Beds were uncomfortable, ac didn’t work properly. The room smelled like mold, I will never stay here keep your money stay somewhere else.

The hotel was close to the major sites of downtown Dubai. It was easy to get around and there was a close grocery store. Our original room smelled of smoke so we got a new room. The pool on the property had amazing views and made the hotel completely worth it! It was nice to have a kitchen and living area to cook in. Overall I would stay again. The staff was nice and always ready to help!

We booked this property for the incredible view of the Burj Khalifa & fountain for the NYE fireworks display, and it did not disappoint! Our suite had a huge wrapping balcony. While we loved nearly everything about the room, it seemed to fall short in the amenities category. The room sleeps 4, yet the kitchen had only 2 forks and plates. No dish towels or paper towels. No hair dryer; even cheap hotels have hair dryers! No wash cloths in the bathrooms...what would you wash your face/body with? These might seem small but when you're paying top dollar you expect all the \"i's\" to be dotted and \"t's\" crossed.

Wanted to give higher score but couldn't...

Double/queen size bed but the mattress was made up of two single mattresses. You can imagine it wasn't always comfortable to sleep in.

The box of washing up equipment (liquid, dishwasher tablet, sponge, washing powder etc) was hidden in gas cupboard area and I didn't know so bought my own washing powder.

poor breakfast, very little choices for the amount of money they charged. Bathroom very out dated and getting in and out of the tub very hard and dangerous. Bathroom light just by itself wouldn't work.. in order to have light in the bathroom in the middle of the night we had use the main switch which turned all the lights on in whole room.. called service desk but unfortunately he was no help. For dinning in the room they wouldn't provide us with napkins. we were told to use tissues that are suppose to be for blowing nose. when we arrived tired at night the room was not ready so we had to wait in the lobby . this was the first and will be the last to stay in this hotel. .

Checked in early around 930 AM. Was not told about the free shuttle to the Dubai Mall until the 2nd day of our stay. As a result we used approx 100 dirham on taxis and even walked there once. Also, towels we're not readily available after the room was cleaned daily. We had to ask the front desk to send up towels. Everyone was genuinely nice but not always helpful.

I stayed here for 2+ weeks on business. The property was fairly nice. It’s new, so it felt that way. The valet service was nice and I felt at the hotel staff knew who I was for my entire visit. The housekeeping was not the best. The room was not clean when I checked in. It was made up, but not clean. There was dried food on the couch, and oily handprints all over the kitchen. Every day, it seemed that housekeeping forgot to give me new towels, so I had to ask for them half a dozen times. The location was OK, but there’s not much to do in the surrounding area. In the heat of the summer, it’s too far to walk to the Dubai Mall. The internet was very unusably slow (<250 kbps), which is a big problem. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive. The full kitchen was a nice amenity.

One of the best hotel I have stayed 6 nights at DAMAC The Royal Distiniction in DUBAI. Amazing clean and friendly staff. I had no issue at all.The room was very spacious and Clean. All staff member are so nice professional and responsible and I appreciate a lot on the service that Mr Sam, Roshan,Dinesh and Robin has provided to me every time I came He remembered my name.I will definitely be visiting again. I booked burj khalifa view..i was not happy with the view as it was VERY minor. I had to pay for an upgrade to fountain view as it was not offered for free however, the view from the top was amazing. Totally worth it.

Room service was slow, various things I had to keep asking for, for example when the room was not cleaned, I asked for it to be cleaned, came back after 4 hours and it was still not cleaned. On another occasion I had to ask 5 times for housekeeping to come and clean my room. Good location and clean spacious room but would not recommend. If you want a stress free holiday this would not be the hotel to stay at due to slow service.

Luxurious apartment-style hotel

Loved my stay here...woke up and slept to a magnificent view of the Burj Khalifa and city. It was like having my own one bedroom appartement (with 1 and 1/2bath) and private balcony, yet still have all the benefits/amenities of a hotel. 10 min Walking distance to mall of emerites and Burj Khalifa (where you can pick up the metro to other attractions of Dubai). And upon Check out given with a rose for thanks. Highly recommend.
