We were most impressed with friendly staff - both concierge and reception. Hussain was our first and last contact and was v helpful , polite and welcoming. Location was superb and central to all. Very nice location and about 18 minute walk to Dubai Mall & Burj Khalifa. Great room with kitchenette and Washer. Pool area needs work and Jacuzzi was not working while there. Free underground parking. Wifi is good. Good value for $ spent. Will come again. View of Canal rooms is very nice as well.

The worst experience ever, firstly the hotel shouldn’t be 5 star, 3 star services and condition, paid for the 48sqm room/apt but deliberately the receptionist gave us the smallest room in the world of 12sqm, it was sorted when i complained about it, awful breakfast and we were the only ones in the breakfast area, advertised as buffet but there was nothing in the restaurant, we had to chase the staff to serve us the BF which was already paid for and wait for 40mints to be served, this was the last time ever i am using Damac services as its only the name they are selling when services are just waste of money, definitely will not be going there back and wouldn’t recommend unless until you want to spoil your holiday and waste the money

Don’t believe the pictures ,,,,the hotel is below standard very average 3 star hotel ,,,the beds are uncontrollable the black out in the rooms is useless as soon as the sun rises the you feel you are sleeping by the pool .
The area is so disappointing all you see is towers and the constructions noise stars at 6 o’clock in the morning also the boats noise in the canal is so bad,,,,

Everything about our stay was great. The location was very convenient, valet parking was perfect and free. The room was the perfect size for a family of 4 and the bed was a great size. The kids enjoyed the breakfast more than anything and my eldest wants to go back just for the breakfast. A wonderful gentleman named Gaston took great care of us over breakfast and was so accommodating. Food was great, the chefs were amazing and the service was great

Overall good property but taxi's find it very difficult to find entrance to hotel (it's often missed) this is a constant stress. Also there is no safe crossing to cross the main road outside the hotel by foot which makes it very difficult to see surrounding area with children. Final negative was that the rooms were quite outdated. Overal would rate it as a 7.5/10.

Really enjoyed my stay at Damac Maison Canal Views. The room was clean, had a beautiful view, and the hotel location was very convenient. The service was excellent. We opted out of daily housekeeping, however room service was quick and we were very satisfied with the effort brought in to serving our needs. We’d also like to show our appreciation for the receptionist, Aziz. He made our stay very memorable and his professionalism and humor really made an excellent impression on us. Very above and beyond compared to hotels I’ve previously stayed at. Without any external influence, he is one of the reasons why I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends for the future.

WASTE OF MONEY!

After finding out that Damac is the second biggest property developer in Dubai I was shocked when I got to my room. Cramped, claustrophobic, awkward are the three best words to describe it. For some reason no room is just a normal bed only layout they all have a kitchen in them. And it just so happens to be that the kitchen space is huge, it’s actually a full sized kitchen we’d be happy with in our houses and leaves not much room for the bed making that area very cramped and awkward. Which doesn’t make sense as there are so many different food varieties in Dubai I don’t know anyone who would like this type of property.

The bed in all the rooms are horrendous. My and my wife both were unable to sleep and were left with sore bodies due to the terrible mattresses. We asked for a room change and the mattress is the same in all rooms. If you suffer from back problems don’t even chance this as it will make it 100 times worse, trust me I know. Another weird thing about the room is that there are so many chairs. I don’t know who’s idea it was but these chairs just get in the way of everything and really add to the cramped nature of the room.

The staff are also not the best they don’t seem to be trained to be themselves, they’re all so robotic and are startled when you say something their script doesn’t cover. For some reason the lobby is on the third floor and you won’t see anyone if you never go there.
Anyway all in all I would not recommend staying here.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed. We were travelling with 2 kids so space was great. Better than a normal hotel room. The kitchen was also amazing because it made it so easy to prepare the kids breakfast. The only issue we had was a false alarm fire alarm that stayed on for ages that for some reason, they didn’t turn off even though it was a false alarm so both kids were wide awake!

The hotel has great facilities and the service is exceptional. Check-in is normally at 3pm. I had an early flight and arrived at about 9.30 am and within 30 minutes I was in my room. They couldn't have been more helpful. My room was fantastic and even included a kitchen.

The location is ok. It's a 15 minute walk to the Dubai mall, but the area is still in construction and some of the walk does not have a proper path. My view from my room as well was not the canal, but more the building site. Could still see the burj khalifa however.

Absolutely amazing place to stay, we loved every moment of our holiday. The only complaint I would have, is that we booked a ‘deluxe room’ with a king size bed, but the bed in our room was actually two single beds put together with one sheet across. We had a few problems with our oven not working, but reception phoned the engineer who came within 5-10 minutes to fix this for us

Good location if you want to be close to the Dubai Mall. The Business Bay is becoming increasingly popular and I was fortunate to get a view of the Burj Khalifa from my room.

Facilities were good with a decent size pool and good gym, the room was slightly basic in comparison to other properties I have stayed in Dubai.

Hotel facilities and staff were excellent. I liked the location because I wanted to stay close to Burj Khalifa. Walkable distance(10 minutes max) to Burj Khalifa and Dubai mall. It is about 20 km from Bur Dubai, where lot of shopping and restaurant options available. If that is your need, then book a hotel near Bur Dubai. Also lot of construction around the area, so it does not look that clean and attractive around the hotel, but still walkable. But we had a room that had down town Burj Khalifa view. Otherside of the hotel you will get Canal views(hence the name).

This is a good hotel. The breakfast buffet was of high quality with great variety. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly this includes the cleaners, concierge, security and reception. They are a credit to the owners. The self catering facilities were extremely useful, especially the washing machine!

The full staff were great and helpful in the hotel, starting from the door all the way to the hotel management within the building. They were very courteous, helpful with all our needs and did their best to help us with our every need.

I definitely recommend the hotel to all other visitors, it has a great secluded location yet is very close to downtown's main attractions (Dubai mall, boulevard.. etc).

Stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment. Spacious and clean with 4 bathrooms (2 showers). 10 min drive to Dubai mall (wouldn't recommend walking due to construction and dirt paths). Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We made use of the hotel gym and pool which are both great facilities. Shuttle to Dubai mall was very convenient. Would recommend this hotel to others.

Very nice hotel. A very good kitchenette in room. Grocery store about 100 yards away to buy groceries and prepare your own meals. A little distant from area with all the restaurants and shopping district. A good 12 minute walk to Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. Family friendly hotel in Downtown Dubai

We had a very pleasant stay at DAMAC Maison Canal Views. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious with all the required amenities. The pool area was child friendly and there was also a kids play area in the reception to keep kids entertained during check in.
The hotel restaurant has a good basic breakfast offering and also offers lunch and dinner. I would however recommend eating out or getting take away (which the hotel allows) as Dubai has so many more exciting food options.
The immediate local area hasn't got much to offer and there is lots of building works going on. It wasn't noisy, just not that interesting and many roads are blocked. The location itself is good and you can get to the Dubai Mall in 5 minutes in a taxi. If you want to use the metro, you will probably also have to get a taxi to get you to the nearest station.

I have stayed in hundreds of 5 star hotels and dozens in Dubai, but this was really a low end. I am happy it was only for two nights. My new rule: Stay away from Damac properties whenever possible.

Everything was wonderful ........ except for the location. Very hard to find taxis because the area around is still under construction and the concierge (despite being asked) do not help unfortunately. Also their room service ends at 11pm which we found a little too early.
Other than those things, the rest of the staff was very helpful and warm. Great breakfast! Great spacious room! Easy check in and check out. Wonderful amenities!

The hotel was of a good quality and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A special mention goes out to Ahmed, the restaurant manager, who went out his way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The location is ideal for the Dubai Mall and close to the New
Year's Eve celebrations. Only comments are re the noise from other rooms and the building sites, maybe better sound insulation for the rooms could overcome this issue. However, after all things are considered, I would still return and recommend.

It wasn't my style, the place is very quite so no taxis you can finder there, the receptionists doesn't have enough skills to deal with customers. Towels and bedding was not clean. When I have checking in around 10:30pm the receptionist let me signed on another person document not mine ! . When I asked for a late check out they won't accept to exceed 1:00 pm even if I have arrived very late and even if the hotel empty ! . I hate the way they talked to me .

I cut my stay short at the Damac Canal Views. I was to stay 12 nights but only stayed one. The canal has been completely drained and the hotel is located in the middle of a major construction zone. The construction continues to late at night as large dump trucks with flashing lights make their way up and down the drained canal. This a very unpleasant hotel to stay in. The hotels website is highly misleading, it still shows a full canal and balconies overlooking the canal. I had booked with the hotel many weeks before my stay. At no point did the hotel make any effort to inform me of the construction even though they were still selling canal view rooms. Please avoid this hotel, there are so many more to choose from in Dubal.

Great Hotel in Poor Location

A great modern apartment hotel with huge rooms that were well equipped. Built in 2014 the hotel is in a good location, very close to the Dubai Mall, but is still yet to be known by taxi drivers and not on a taxi route. Therefore getting to and from the hotel was a real pain and spoiled the whole experience. The hotel can't even ring for a taxi, so unless one happens to drive by, you have no choice but to walk. Not a problem in January when I was there, but not an option for the Summer!

Service oriented hotel 15 min walk Dubai Mall

The people at DAMAC Maison Canal Views are very welcoming and service oriented. The room was clean with a kitchenette and bathtub. The Maison Canal Views are child friendly with a play room (free in the mornings, charge in the afternoons), a kiddie pool, and a small playground. The internet was easily accessed from the room and fast. The bellhop \"fixed\" a snag on my luggage AND reminded me where I set down my wallet. The registration staff found a room for us early (we were in transit from a cruise ship). The concierge printed out our plane tickets and visa document. The concierge also gave us directions for the 10-15 min walk to the Dubai Mall (with the Burj Kalifa next door). The salesman for those purchasing units took time to step outside and explain about the surrounding area and DAMAC buildings even though it was clear I wasn't a buyer. The people were LOVELY. An FYI that the area is developing quickly and what you see in a few months might be totally different views. Although I seldom pay this much for a hotel room Dubai is pricy and the staff's support made it all worth it.

Fantastic Dubai Hotel

Fantastic hotel suite, spacious, modern, clean. Large bedroom with en suite and balcony, large flat screen TV, comfortable bed. Large lounge with further TV, open plan kitchen fully equipped and dining space. Further cloakroom with vanity basin and WC. Very good position, 10 minute walk to the Fabulous Dubai Mall and Burg Kalifa, we are 70 but fit. Perhaps in hotter weather some might need a taxi. Lots of building work nearby but this did not bother us, Dubai has new building everywhere. Used the red tour bus to get around for 2 days, ideal way to see Dubai.

Really pleasant hotel. Staff friendly and always available. Didn't eat here but the mall is a short 15min walk away. Only downside is no taxi drivers know where this is, so can be a struggle getting home. Room very clean and comfortable, balcony great, construction opposite but less audible inside.

We arrived around midnight, the staff were pleasant and helpful advising about places. The lady on the front desk was nice, chatty, didn't get her name but she was from the Czech republic. We were upgraded to a suite which was huge, full kitchen and everything you would need for 2 if you wanted to fully self cater, fridge, freezer, dish washer, washing machine, kettle, toaster and I think the majority of the stuff had not been used. There was a full bathroom as well as 2nd toilet, the bedroom was big, airy and had a balcony with views over the Burj Khalifa (this no doubt will go when the new development is finished in front of the hotel). There was a dining table and settee, all in all a pleasant room. Tea, coffee and bottled water replenished daily. The rest of the hotel was clean, breakfast wasn't included in our rate but we did eat once and it was fresh and well presented and tasty. The pool was nice and views over the canal and by mid afternoon in the shade which was pleasant out of the direct sun. It was about 10 mins walk to the Mall and fountain, about 100m not paved but rest was. The hotel did run a shuttle to the mall and to the beach which we didn't use. There is a Carrefour supermarket nearby as well as Waitrose in the mall to get a few basics. If we wanted to stay in that area again we would definitely stay there again.
Only downside was building site over the road but so is rest of Dubai

An new hotel in the middle of nowhere

no restaurant (information given are not in line with reality) Because of a late arrival we discovered that they were no room service 24/7. In fact, the hotel gives you the menu list of several fast foods with delivery service. The problem is that hat the said fast food does know where is located the hotel (very new area).

You enjoy a large apartment well furnished, but the washrooms are extremelly small. Probably designed for children.

DAMAC DISHONEST Bait & Switch

The room that I was showed suddenly became unavailable upon my arrival they had four hours notice and failed to tell me so that they would not lose my business of 25 days knowing I had another hotel lined up down by the marina however I wanted to stay in downtown ! Each day the room was dirty I had to call down more than once each day to have the room cleaned . Biggest problem for me is Damac being dishonest given me a room half the size as what I was shown is very poor I have never had that happen before and I travel worldwide ! Then when I checked out from my displeasure they still wanted to charge me an extra day knowing I wasn't there claiming they did not know i was gone I even though the front desk send me the bell cap And the valet car and even waived good bye , I advised I was leaving Damac very dishonest

The hotel itself was very good, very spacious room and clean. There were very few plug sockets in the room. Also we struggled with finding taxi drivers who knew where the hotel was. The pool was very nice, and so was the spa

Enjoyed the staff and service. Enjoyed the Quality of the Hotel. Enjoyed the facilities of the Hotel. Found the Dubai Mall Van Shuttle indispensable.

The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably price for what we ordered. Enjoyed the Indian and arabic dishes.

Nice Hotel Close to Dubai Mall

Lovely modern hotel with rooms overlooking the pool. Great location close to Dubai Mall. Only downside was the shuttle service from the mall back to the hotel. Shuttle van changes and hardly any signage so you may end up waiting for 20mins and then taking a taxi anyway as you cant find it. Sadly when we asked the hotel about this we were told they had had a number of complaints but that seemed to be it. Overall the hotel is lovely and would stay here again just plan on taking taxis (these are very cheap $12.50 UAE). Lovely pool and otherwise helpful staff.
