Its raining season.. and during check in we paid extra deposit.. when ask to borrow umbrella, its only for inside hotel use… maybe should allow guests to borrow it, just for walk to nearest store/restaurant.

Do NOT book to stay here. They have a NO refund policy so when you actually see the property you can't change to another better hotel. The \"gym / fitness centre\" does not have working equipment so you can NOT use anything there, I don't even think the airconditioning in there works as it was very hot when I tried to use the cable machine that is broken. The \"pool view junior suite\" overlooks a construction site which can be quiet loud some days. The linen is OLD I even had a cover with a hole and frayed. The towels have stains on them. You do not get the daily water bottles as advertised & I had to ask for them. The breakfast is very poor compared to other places I have stayed in Bali over the last 14 years. The staff are friendly and it is not their fault the property is old and worn out and the gym equipment is broken.

Stayed in a Junior Suite. Only given 1 key card. Told too busy didn't have spare. Had to ask for hand/small towels - again \"busy\" would give if they had any. Room very clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast very basic - we went out for breakfast. Staff all very nice, polite and friendly but all very young. Nobody senior seemed to be in charge. Overall reasonable hotel. Would stay again but not in a hurry.

The rooms are quite dated and the bed is not very comfortable. I would suggest putting a top sheet under the blanket - a separate sheet - because at times it got hot because the blanket is too heavy for the temperatures in Bali. I would suggest using a lighter blanet too.

Too much has been out sourced. Bedroom/bathroom had old manchester and ratty towels. Curtains in bathroom had a lot of visible mould.
After informing manager it still took 2 days to replace curtain.

It is best to book this hotel for its advantageous location. However, considering it is rated 4 stars I was let down by the cleanliness of the linen and the overall age of the hotel. All the staff were patient and provided great service.

Started off with an awful check in, receptionist just pointed and said “room that way” very rudely. Photos must be 15 years old. At breakfast I asked for a white coffee and was told by the waitress “ you want milk you pay me money!! “ Shocking place.

Before you read my appraisal remember you are travelling to a 3rd world country. Firstly this hotel has fantastic staff. They are not top of the range rooms if you want 5 star, go elsewhere and pay more. Each room is kept clean and well stocked but the poor staff are only working with what they have been provided. Buffet breakfast is rice and noodles but this is Asia and that is what Asian people eat. Pastries, cereals and fruit is plentiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return. For the owners:- your bed linen and towels need upgrading.

A solid \"3 star\" accommodation.
The interior of the room did not look like the rooms on the hotel website. The room was a bit distressed but it appears the management is remodeling the exterior of the buildings.Bath towls are provided but bring your own face and hand towels and top sheet for the bed (I did not care to sleep under the comforter). I think this may be an effort to save on laundry overhead? The staff was polite and helpful. Also, for the first three days of the stay, there was dirty plates (room service?)and bowls outside our room. On the fourth day the staff removed these items. Food scraps attract vermin...vermin attract snakes. Service was quick and efficient to repair the toilet that did not work.

DIRTY I moved out after one night they’re supposed to refund and they have not done so yet meaning they are shady! Pillows were stained with yellow they tried to give me a smaller room the three rooms they showed me were all very dirty disgusting I could not stay after one day the pillows were stained yellow like urine. There’s no way this can be four star it’s should be a two star hotel at best. They said the pillows were part of a renovation project I can’t make this stuff up I have them on video and where is my refund paragon??

Poor condition hotel. Definitely not a 4 staff property. Staff were rude upon arrival (late night with kids) not accepting that we had a booking for 4 people and providing us with a room with 3 beds only. Changed rooms the following day and charged additional money. Others had the same problem with rooms provided upon checking in.

I found the photos that they advertise very deceiving. Although all hotels put there best foot forward paragon took it too far. Maybe having more westernised options would be nice, just a thought. Maybe play some more upbeat music in restaurant. Get more options when it comes to alcohol. Haha.

I booked and paid Expedia by credit card $324 AUD for a deluxe room for 5 nights. When I arrived at the Paragon Hotel an hour later to check-in I was informed the last deluxe room had already been booked therefore unavailable, therefore I never checked in. I then booked somewhere else and left. That was August 19, 2019. Countless contacts with Expedia have been unsuccessful in requesting a rightful refund even though I am continually told the issue is being “escalated” to the appropriate team. I will never use Expedia again.

Conflicting info on Expedia

We booked this hotel as Expedia had it as a smoke free property in its write up, it wasn’t ! people were walking through the dining area smoking, smoking on balcony’s , around the pool and the front part of the restaurant .
The hotel report said it had a bar and a poolside bar it didn’t ! the bar was not physical just a order drinks service in dining area if you were lucky enough they had your drink of choice ! The pool bar was a desk at the pool where you could order drinks too to me this is a misrepresentation of the facilities and smoking code for the hotel ! Also there was a free shuttle service that they didn’t like you to use as they don’t inform you of it’s availability on arrival and it only leaves at 8am to 10 am and 2pm to 4pm to local Seminyak district, and since breakfast was between 6 to 10am you couldn’t eat breaks unless up very early and use the morning shuttle. Add to that we ended up with food poisoning after eating either breakfast or lunch at the hotel we did not eat any where else that day and ended up violently sick for three days! After that we did not feel safe eating at the hotel and moved out 5 nights before our booking ended at this hotel, Expedia need to punish hotels that don’t meet the write ups that are on the Expedia site, we got no apology from the hotel management, the receptionist offered a free ride to our new hotel we declined

Simply great.

This hotel was the last stop after 2 weeks in Indonesia, we tried several hotels and we can confirm that it was one of the best we stayed at. It's a real standard 4* hotel and everything was in perfect condition. Simply great value for a great price!

The only tiny negative thing that we encounter was issues with the internet connection (probably our room was far away from the hotspot), it didn't bother us much since we were on vacations.

Not the Holiday I Had Envisioned

As I was travelling alone I wanted a place I felt safe in. I chose the Paragon as I felt a structured compact hotel style accommodation felt safer for a woman on her own than a rambling resort to walk around in at night......My choice was SO wrong. I got in from my flight well after midnight and by the time I had checked in and got into bed it was near 2am. To my shock I was woken at about 6.30 in the morning with a man breaking into my room through the balcony door that he had dismantled completely! After that I did not feel comfortable there even though the staff were very caring an apologetic.....it happened...... so I cut my loses and paid for a second accommodation that friends recommended and moved there the next day. Of the time I did spend at The Paragon the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast menu is limited though for non asian travellers The location was not great as the road outside was extremely busy ALL of the time and there were no clear footpath areas to allow a safe walking path. Most hotels etc usually have a booklet in the rooms outlining services offered and information about the place you are staying in but this place does not. If anyone has trouble with mobility the main path area looks amazing but is so difficult to walk on as the paver design is raised unevenly and is very hard to walk on at all.

Average choice compared to competition

We had an alright stay at the hotel. Rooms were as pictures and breakfast was buffet. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in and then looked like it had been quickly cleaned with wet floors and even dirty towels left in the bathroom when we arrived. Another night we returned and the room was cleaned and there were no towels to shower with. The staff were friendly but not very knowledgeable. We did stay over the busy New Years time so I understand staff may have been busy

Spent four nights here. Located at the northern edge of Seminyak. Only a 10 min walk to the nearest beach which although quiet and semi clean did not have any life guard on duty or swimming zones. You must walk further south to beaches near seminyak central. Road connecting hotel with beach was busy during the day and no real pavements to walk on, meaning we had to walk on the road or the tops of the storm drains. there were however a few warungs and mini marts en route. Room was modern and spacious and air con was very powerful. The hotel did feel new and clean although room was not spotless on arrival ( a few hairs in the wet room). Breakfast was also decent and staff were very polite and friendly. The swimming pool was very nice. Taxi to kuta costs anywhere between 40 - 60,000 Rp.

There was pretty much no one staying at this hotel, except for the night a conference booked out the place. Upside - staff were friendly but didn't really understand English. Pool was nice, gym was ok. Room service was decent and well priced. Breakfast was good. Downsides - no wifi, only worked for first 2 days of a 10 day stay. I had to do some work while I was there and the staff kept telling me it would be fixed, never got fixed. I asked to speak to the manager and it took him 5 days and numerous requests to finally speak to him. The people in the room next door would put plates outside the door and they would be left there for 2 days before anyone cleaned them up. Location - It is abit out of town, and there's not much around it. Overall it was reasonable but for the price I was paying I wouldn't stay here again.

New Hotel - Good Location

This hotel is located close to all the hot spots of northern Seminyak/Kerobakan area. Within walking distance or a quick scoot or taxi ride. Foot paths not well developed so watch your step. Still fairly new, everything is clean, tidy and in working order. There seemed to be a lack of management or direction of staff. They were happy to help when asked however not very attentive especially in the restaurant/bar area or around the pool either. Breakfast was included and was on-par for a buffet style feed. There are plenty of other places to eat close by so I wouldn't pay the extra if it wasn't included. I booked relatively late and utilized a special rate (about 40% off) so value for money was on par. Would stay here again if visiting this area, but only at 40% off the list rate.

Lovely Hotel, Great Value for Money

My girlfriend and I just came back from a week at the Paragon and we can't wait to go back again. The hotel itself is nicely decorated and kept very clean, the staff are very friendly and polite and check in was fast and easy. The room was in great condition and clean with a nice comfy bed; it also had a window between the room and the bathroom in case that's something you require. There is a blind you can roll down if it doesn't suit you of course. The breakfast buffet is of very good quality with a good selection and if the hotel is particularly quiet you get to choose from the a la carte menu. There's a lovely pool which I found was kept very clean apart from the odd flower or leaf dropping in it and some nice sunbeds around it. The gym is quite basic but has everything you need for a good workout, just be careful if you're a large sized caucasian such as myself as the cardio machines can get a bit wobbly. The charges for meals, room service and minibar are all very reasonable so you don't have to run down to the minimart for a beer or can of coke as in other hotels. All of the staff from the cleaners to the waiters/waitresses and receptionists are very friendly and polite, they make the hotel a very nice place to stay. We've been to Bali a few times now and this is definitely the best place we've stayed, if you book your holiday here you will definitely not regret it. One tip is if you use a taxi then make sure it's a Blue Bird Taxi, others rip you off.

Stayed here Jan 2015. Paragon is at the quiet end of Seminyak which suited me, yet it was by no means out of the way, & very easy to get to & from.
The place was relatively new, very clean & had great facilities (pool & gym).
I had breakfasts included each day where I enjoyed trying a little of most of what was on offer - fresh fruits, toast, eggs, sausages, mushrooms, rice dishes, vegetables, pastas - the list goes on & as you might've guessed there's something there for everyone.
All of the staff were very attentive, polite, helpful & only to happy to assist with any queries/requests/requirements.
I would recommend Paragon to anyone that was looking for quiet, hotel style accommodation with a little extra.

Overall a comfortable hotel but poor wifi

My husband and I stayed in a double room near the pool ( you can actually get one of the rooms directly next to the pool ). The room is clean and well maintained. At first we were not sure what an \"exterior bathroom \" as described in the booking website meant. What it is is that our private bathroom is located outside the room in the open but well protected by plans and shrubs for privacy.

Breakfast is included in the price for us and is pretty great everyday . Hotel staff is very obliging and helpful.

Hotel is 20 mins walk from the beach and is about 10 mins dow the road from Naughty Nuris, a popular steak and ribs chain.

Alas ! The WIFI of the hotel is almost no existent 80% of the time. We bought local SIM cards but there was no reception. So we were without internet connection most of the time in our room. Call me a technology slave but I simply cannot accept this when I've set out to choose a hotel with wifi.

Pleasant stay in Seminyak

It's a pleasant hotel, spent only one night here. Seminyak was too crowded during our stay and it rained constantly. I will definitely consider this for our next visit.Neighborhood seemed to be nice.Lots of cafes and massage centers around. the bathrooms are open and really cool. I saw plastic and paper wastes in the open area of the bathroom. Wish they would pay little more attention to it and keep it clean.

Very nice hotel. Spacious and very clean room. Slept very well since there are no noisy bars or roads nearby (so far...). Excellent bathroom facilities. Great pool which is around 30 meters long and allows you great swims. Gym equipment a bit poor though. Generous breakfast and very helpful and friendly staff, although some need to improve their English a bit! Only slight problem is that outside the hotel there are no sidewalks which makes it awkward if not dangerous to walk around, particularly at night so you always need a taxi or a scooter (which I did not get since traffic can be orrendous and dangerous and in the rainy season you often risk to get soaked!).

Hadde booket rom til 3, fikk bare 2 håndkler. Etterspurte et ekstra håndkle, men det fikk vi ikke. Skittent sengetøy. 1 av 4 stikkontakter på rommet virket. Føneren virket heller ikke.

Vi ankommer til et 4-stjernet hotel der er alt andet end 4 stjerner. Hygiejnen er i bund, servicen er i bund. Ingen vedligehold på bygningen og værelserne. Vores bruser var ødelagt i det første værelse, så det sprøjtede med vand på toilettet og i resten af badeværelset. Dyne, gardiner og håndklæder var så beskidte, badekaret var ikke rengjort. Så fik vi et nyt værelse hvor bruseren ikke var helt i stykker. Dyner, håndklæder og gardiner var stadig beskidte. Restauranten var også gammel og beskidt. Selvom vi havde morgenmad med i pakken, valgte vi at spise det ude hver dag. Værste oplevelse af et 4-stjernet hotel. Det hotel skal lukkes ned eller ryge ned til 1 stjerne. Det er dsv ikke mere værd…
