Unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations. The room felt neglected — the carpet was very dirty, the freezer was unclean, and we even found toenails on the carpet and dining chair, which was very concerning. Housekeeping did not provide fresh towels during our stay, and there was no room service available. Valet service was also extremely slow, and we had to wait a long time each time we needed our car.

The hotel staff we interacted with were polite and friendly; however, overall we were very disappointed with the cleanliness and level of service.

We stayed at this beachfront property in Fort Lauderdale for 3 days with our toddler. The location and views were beautiful, but our experience was mixed.

What we liked:
•Direct beachfront access and stunning ocean views
•Well-maintained pools and property

What we didn’t like:
•Check-in took too long, which was hard with a toddler.
•We experienced no water in the shower and received no response from staff.
•The property is not toddler-friendly—even the main gate lacks a child safety lock.
•There was no heating on a cold day, making the room uncomfortable.
•The AC unit door did not close properly, creating a child safety concern.
•The kitchen was missing basic items like a blender and chopping board.
•The direct elevator to our apartment floor was not working for all three days, requiring a detour through the parking level, which was very time-consuming.

Overall:
Amazing location and views, but service, accessibility, and family-friendly features need improvement. Better suited for couples than families with young children

It was very bad, I usually never write reviews , but this time I decided to because it was that bad.
We have stayed at this hotel last year and it went well, room, amenities, staff, in general a good stay. BUT this year, we were assigned room 1504 and let me tell you this was no 5 star nor like the pictures…
The carpets were filthy dirty, the dining tables were fabric and were not grey beige they were dirty with stains . The room smelled very bad, there was no safe to put our personal things. The dryer door had no handle, the patio door didn’t lock, and to top it off the dishwasher didn’t work.

So when I called front desk, I was told had to speak with the property owner, since we booked with Expedia, so once we got a hold of him, (property manager) he told me that they knew about the safe that it was broke and were getting a new one but not in time for our stay, the dishwasher he knew about and lied to me telling me the garage disposal didn’t work and they tried to fix it before our stay but didn’t work and never thought of mentioning the dishwasher. We were a family of 6 so imagine not having a dishwasher. Honestly they knew about everything and nothing was done . After contacting Expedia, then they sent someone to fix at least the dishwasher. But nothing else. It will definitely be the last time we stay at this hotel. We travel to Florida twice a year but first time we experience this. honestly don’t know how we stayed in this room, it was disgustingly dirty .

The room is advertised to have 2 beds however one turned out to be a leather couch that flattens into a « bed ». Sleeping on a leather surface, even with a bed sheet, is highly uncomfortable.
Hidden fees of 40$ per day were added.
No laundry soap was available.
Only 1 tv remote for 2 tvs.
No gym towels available.

Our reservation was booked thru expedia. Property only offered Valet Parking and was a fee. Common areas of the property were well kept and clean but our unit was disgusting. I’m not sure the floors have ever been washed. There were substances splattered on walls, closet doors and lamp shades. The sheets were thin and tattered as were the mis matched thin bath towels (only one per guest). Bed blanket was stained. What is in the unit is all you get. So you get one roll of toilet tissue and one bag for each trash can. If you need anything else you have to go buy it. My husband got sick with the chills and they couldn’t give me a blanket, was told I would have to call Expedia for that! Front staff was ignorant and very unwelcoming. Valet guys were the only friendly staff! We won’t be back…

Good: beach access, pool, view from balcony, comfortable mattress, young gentlemen at the front desk was very polite and helpful.
Bad: very slow elevators that stops often, rooms are dirty, bathrooms are gross, kitchen is not equipped well, slow internet, resort fees are high, drinks at the pool's bar are very expensive... Be aware, tip is always included and you cannot bring your own drinks from outside.

The 2-bedroom and 2-bathroom condo we rented wasn't prepared for new guests.
Hair all over the floor, unwashed dishes, molded showers, dirty floors, toilets and windows. Worst experince ever.

When addressed the issue to the building they simply offered house keeping next day. Family and I didn’t feel comfortable to have anyone over after accommodation.

The elevators were total nightmare. Waiting everytime 10-15 minutes (longest wait time reached 22 minutes) to get from 27th floor to the Lobby was unacceptable! DISASTER

The pool hours are different from the ones published on the web site.

Definitely won't be back again!

My family of 5 enjoyed our stay!
The lobby was beautiful.
The room was great, a little unclean, but great. The beach was easy to access.
The pool was nice, a little not kid friendly, but nice.
Yes the elevator took forever and the valet was slow but I understand that. It was no problem for us!
Only thing that I would say we didn’t like was how expensive everything was.

The apartament that I’ve booked was for 4 people but the suite they gave us is only for 3 people it’s means that we had to sleep 3 people in one queen bed and the sofa is just for 1 person, it’s terrible.

I’m being nice here and trying to help this hotel. Had to buy own toilet paper and wash towels all week. No maid service. Had to fix tv. No service. Security interrogating people at beach and pool lots of arguing. No main bar in lobby to congregate. You’ll need to Uber or drive everywhere. As one guest put it “you’ll spend half your trip in the elevator” unfortunate he was right as only one elevator for 40 floors and 400 rooms! Service non existent, asked for bikes and clerk said look outside somewhere. If I owned this business I’d be strongly watching the manager of the hotel as something is wrong here. I thought Hyde was a good brand?

Front desk quite unwelcoming and rude. As soon as we arrived, you are faced with a stressful vibe, there was confusion as we were renting in the residence but the black lady on the hotel frontdesk side(sorry can’t remember her name) was quite unpleasant and was irritated that we didn’t know where to stand, which is a desk next to it that says Owners 🙃

We were then given access to the condo for 4pm checkin, but to our surprise the cleaning lady was still there and asked us for an extra 30min, claiming they only notified her to clean the unit around 3pm.

I noticed people working there quite unhappy and miserable, which unfortunately affects your mood and experience.

In the other hand, location, pool, everything else was great.

They need to invest in hiring better.

I loved the atmosphere at the property, the room was nice and clean. Although I did not like the fact I was told $75 for valet parking and was charged $112. I also didn't like the fact that we were required to use hotel towels at the beach if we used one of the chairs and hotel towels at the pool, instead of our own. Drinks at the pool were incredibly expensive considering the amount we received and we weren't allowed to bring in any drinks, although I noticed food and drinks around the pool that were not purchased. We also felt a little uncomfortable with security constantly walking around the pool.

The condo was in a terrible condition. The walls are dirty with some hole, Toilet doesn't flush unless you wait 15 minutes, carpet is torn and filthy, chairs and soft were dirty. The owners were advised, said that they would send housekeeping, then when they wanted to send them, we were out. I had property manager come and take pictures; his comment was ''we will have to shut unit down and force owners to change carpet, furniture and repaint''. On another note, you sometimes have to wait 15 minutes for an elevator, and chairs are not available at pool unless you go at 8:30 am. The cherry on the cake is that Hyde resort takes a $250 deposit to make sure we don't damage the property, and it gets reimbursed 7 to 10 working days after you check out. What a scam!

The cleaning lady even tried to charge us afterwards for the broken things! Beware of the scam! Make sure to let them know what’s broken right after check in.

the only good part is the Oceanfront Balcony.
The unit was not well maintained: a deep crack in the ceiling, the door of the only closet missing, most of electrical plugs has no power, main TV not functioning, light fixtures with burned bulbs, carpet need deep cleaning, The shampoo, soap provided are hardly for more than 1 day
The resort has no service, one elevator for over 40 floors and you need to wait.
The front desk are nice but not helpful :you are on your own for any task needed as calling for transportation etc..
The provided beach umbrella and chairs are almost 1/2 Km walking to reach
It does not worse what we paid for and not suitable for seniors or restricted mobility

I have reviewed over 100 hotels in the past 20 years on Google and on Expedia. I almost did not book this place because of the reviews and what a mistake that would’ve been. It seems like all the complainers in the world keep leaving reviews only. The place was beautiful the staff were amazing my room was absolutely in every sense of the way great, clean and accommodating I want to thank the owners. Folks this is not a hotel so stop writing the wrong review. In every room there is a set of towels but there is washer and dryer so if you need more towels just wash them. If you want good service at the front desk try smiling at them the poor girls were horrified by the time I got up to them everyone on the line waiting was so nasty. Hi people. You are on vacation try having a good time and smiling when I got up and spoke to the girls at the front desk and I put a smile and I complemented their hair and their beautiful nails as you should they gave me anything and everything I want it. I could not have been happier with the staff from parking to poolside to concierge‘s desk. Folks have just become very impatient anyone who has written a negative review here I bet you they did not even have a good time at this place and they would not have a good time at any other place. Hyde beach resort was fantastic!! Thank you 🙏 all again.

This location was beautiful. The apartment/condo was spacious, modern and simply beautiful to wake up in each day. The view of the ocean and its proximity to the beach was amazing. There were 3 things we did not like: 1. The pay for parking daily seemed unnecessary and the fact that we did not know until we booked caught us a bit off guard, however, the valet staff was very nice.and prompt.. 2. When we arrived, there were no washcloths and the toilet ran, (we had to take the lid off and jiggle the parts after each flush). When calling the front desk, only about the wash cloths, we didn't even address the toilet, we were told that any issues had to be addressed directly with the owner. Since we booked via expedia, we did not know the owners so we had to provide our own wash towels. 3. The front desk was not friendly at all. We did not have a personal issue other than the unfriendliness but every time we went down, someone was having an issue with them and we overheard several times that their \"tone\" or \"attitude\" was unappreciated. They seem annoyed at the guests. I'm not sure if that is because there are owners and guests in the facility and perhaps they don't like guests but there was absolutely no warmth or friendliness from the front desk at any time. They gave us what we needed but didn't seem to care. One guy actually ignored us upon arrival. They definitely need to step that up.

Good view but terrible location

We originally booked this for a fun girls getaway. The issue with this place is the check in and condo. This hotel isn’t a hotel they are renting out privately owned condos so the maintenance is lacking. We arrived to only 3 towels and one pod of tide for the kitchen and two rolls of toilet paper for a large two bed two bath condo. There was also no trash cans in the main area or bags save the small bathroom ones. The view was great. Location is a residential area so I won’t book this. Lastly check in for Covid was an issue. You had to sign in a log book and wait in line each time you enter the building. There isn’t much to do around the area & no restaurants are walking distance. Also because it was a privately owned condo there was no clean up and we actually arrived to dirty dishes in the cabinets. I would not recommend this place.

Elevators always packed up, we waited for the elevators anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, I was on the 35th Floor and the pool is on the 9th floor, so if I have to get outside the hotel to get something and come back and then go to the pool and back to my room and go out for dinner and come back to the room I would have to figure out at least 70~80 per day on the line foe elevators,
Staff was extremely Rude and unprofessional.

The elevator was atrocious. Get ready for long lines and then stopping on every floor when you do get to cram in to the slowest elevator in existence. Staff was not helpful and rude, for the money 💰 this was beyond mediocre. Suite was clean, modern and great balcony and views but overall i give it 0/5 for super stressful check out etc.... hyde is a great name, hyde away and seek another hotel/rental.

The Hotel overall was amazing!! The front staff were very helpful and the place was a magical vacation for my fiancé and I had an amazing time. The valet parking took forever but after you figure it out you just wait for a while before headed down to it. The view was breath taking and the bar n grill had the best food we ate anywhere in town.

We booked our stay at this property because of the good location and room size. Hyde offered 2 bedrooms which was good for our family needs. We stayed at this hotel before and like it there. This time, was unlike our previous experience. We got room 2704. When we came in it looked like this room wasn’t cleaned. Carpet had multiple heavy stains on it and coach in living room was with stains. Bathrooms and kitchen sink didn’t have hand soap and we even can’t wash our hands. I immediately contacted property manager. The property manager called me back to discuss my concerns. Per property manager this room was cleaned, but carpet and coach stains are permanent. He offered us to do another cleaning the next day. He promised us hand soap to be brought later. Also, he checked that he had no other room available to be switched to. We had no choice but to stay in this dirty looking room. To my unpleasant surprise the carpet and coach stains were not the only cleaning issues. We found that blanket in one of the bedrooms was stained with some gross looking stuff, bedroom handle broke in my hands, bedroom door was loudly squeaking that can wake up sleeping person, and safe in the room is locked with no instructions how to open it. I had to call property manager again. Soon after my call housekeeping person came to our room. Dirty blanked was only sprayed but not changed, door handle was repaired but door was still squeaking, and safe remains closed until the end. Not a good experience.

One was broken for the whole week. Walked up and down 14 floors most days. Would never stay here again because of the valet service and elevators.

This is the second and last time staying at this hotel, very disappointing in many ways. The hotel had a real urban feel this time, with security guards and uniformed police officers around the pool area, we had to wear wristband at all times in the hotel and pool area. I couldn't believe how run down it looked in two years since my last stay. I highly recommend not stay here unless you are looking for cheaper room rates and an urban feel. Also the elevators are the worst in any hotel I have ever stayed at! The staff struggled at best.

I have never had such a bad experience in my life. This hotel is the worst I have ever stayed in. If I could give it a negative rating I would. Elevators are a nightmare, staff was not helpful, security was everywhere but not helpful. I had to go down 17 floors everyday and night because there were never elevators available. They had no towels or chairs in the pool or the beach available. When we tried to speak to a manager there was no manager or supervisor on site to address any of my concerns. When you call the front desk or housekeeping no one answers. The rooms and entire property was filthy dirty. Kids were spitting and throwing ice off balconies in the pool area. My wife got hit in the head by a pool umbrella because it was not weighted properly and the wind threw it about 5 feet. Balconies have broken glass on them. I could go on and on. BE AWARE AND DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Nice to get away, but.... details matter!

Pros: Location & view is wonderful. Nice kitchen, Bosch appliances. Comfortable beds. Washer & dryer in condo.

Cons: Umbrella location on the beach was not in front of hotel, had to walk quite a bit on the sand.
Severely understaffed.
Elevator wait time was 30-45 minutes! No matter what time of day.
Needed garbage bags, was told no one could help me with that. Or with getting more towels.
Very few pans available if we wanted to cook. No seasoning whatsoever. No pizza pan.
No soap to shower with. Only a small hand soap in each bathroom.
Couch extremely uncomfortable to sit on.
Condo in need of severe update- walls were dirty, had stains on them in various places. Carpet was also dirty and stained.
Grout in bathroom floors also very dirty.

This was my first experience staying in a vacation rental vs. a hotel. When we first arrived, we were quite early. I thought we would stop by to see if our room happened to be available for early check in. We were told that it was not ready yet (no worries, it was our own poor planning.) We came back around 3:30pm, still not ready. We check in around 4:30pm. When we arrived at the room it was disgusting. I hand washed all of the counter tops and floors before even putting anything away. The rags that I used were jet black, even the one that I had used on the counter top.

Everything was dirty and broken. We actually got locked out of our bathroom for several hours and the hotel staff said they couldn’t enter our property because they didn’t have permission from the owner but couldn’t get in touch with the owner. No one ever came to pick up our trash or give us our new towels as promised. They only have four elevators for all customers and staff so you wait a really really long time to move from floor to floor. Everything is obscenely expensive and you can’t bring any of your own snacks or even water into the pool area. The cooler is also too busy to even enter most of the time so you can’t even use it. The portion of the beach that was a lot of us is quite a ways down so you have to walk with all of your stuff.

The customer service at the Hyde is non existent. It’s such a beautiful hotel and at first everything is great and by the end of your stay you wished you stayed at the Marriott across the street.

You cant beat the location and beutiful views of the Ocean! The pool deck is also a great place both day and night!

The public areas are really nice but hotel rooms are probably hit or miss, ours was so so. The sink was clogged upon arrival so we ended up having to buy solution and unclog it ourselves. Stains on the carpet‘s and couch but otherwise clean.

worst stay of my life !!!!

Over crowded there was no adherence to CDC guidelines ....over crowded elevators and guests without masks.
The smell of mariguana was horrible. We could NOT enjoy the balcony.

After a long day of traveling we were ready to get in our room and relax. Unfortunately, We had a problem checking in. At first, The lady couldn’t find our reservation, after going back and fourth with the other check in desk they finally found it. They give us our room keys and tell us floor 7. We go up to floor 7 to find a parking garage. Go back down to front desk and they tell us “oh ya, you have to walk through the parking garage to the other side to get to your room”. (Elevators were broken) once we finally got into our room it was 86 degrees and the shower head only worked on one side. We let the front desk know and they told us we had to call our host since it was an air bnb. We didn’t bother since we were only there for 2 full days. By day 2 everything was working fine, we figured someone must have not been there in a while.

Nice resort lacking in cleanliness. our unit was reasonably clean but it looked like the carpet could use a good cleaning. The hallways and the walls of the hallways could have also used a washing and a coat of paint.Our unit did not even provide a roll of paper towels,dish soap, sponge, coffee or any of the basic items that you might expect from a decent Airbnb. All in all a would give rating of 6.5/10.

Great location. Pools and amenities are outstanding. Carpeted areas are stained and look bad, but otherwise a very nice place. Food and drinks are pricey. Make sure you realize that there is an additional 'service charge' with every purchase at the hotel.

Room was filthy - bathroom full of hair (shower drain fully clogged with hair, floor looked like someone gave themselves a haircut, grout was very moldy everywhere), oven had pan full of grease from a prior tenant, in addition there were many other examples. We asked to have the room cleaned upon discovering this and a cursory job was done. Most of the issues were not fixed leading us to believe the cleaning staff spent no more than 15 minutes in our room. There were a handful of other issues at the property that have been well documented by other reviews but this was one of the most off putting travel experiences we have had. Zero percent chance we return and/or recommend the property.

The rooms were dirty the carpets in the hallways were filthy. You have to wait 30 min for elevator bc there is only 4 in the hotel. They run out of towels at the pool they run out of chairs and towels at the beach. The cleaning service for the room have no idea what they’re doing.only one pool was heated so it was packed. The other was frozen. Really just not a nice stay. The hotel needs to be shut down and serviced

I also tried to get a late checkout and the owner of the unit didnt even contact me when I called.

The worst stay at any place I've been to in years you can wait 20 minutes or more for a elevator to go from lobby to floor (room) they had a guard standing to stop over crowding the cleaning staff would use the same elevators with the large cleaning carts obvious no service elevator NEVER AGAIN.

Parking is a problem, I was in valet for 25 min waiting to drop off the car. Only one car allowed, a friend came to visit and had to park 4 blocks away and pay $40.

Checkin did not have my reservation and they had to make a call to check me in.

Pool and beach services close at 5 and they came and take your towels and chairs even if you want to stay at the beach.

The AC was not working very well. It was warm in the lobby and the room.

Mixed emotions

This is my second stay at Hyde Beach. I have such mixed emotions. Let me start with the good. The location is convenient to Fort Lauderdale & Miami. There is a lot of shopping, dining options nearby as well as Hollywood boardwalk. The units are spacious & comfortable..most have fabulous ocean views. The is a fitness center which is small but looks directly on ocean. It is kept clean & never crowded. The pool area is wonderful with food, music and beverage service as well as a restaurant and spectacular views. Arrive early to get a chair. The other dining options in the hotel are fine nothing exceptional but good and again... views! Do you see a trend? This is what I love looking at the ocean wherever I go and you really don’t have to leave it’s very relaxing and a lot to do on property as well as the spa for services. Now the bad… The units are individually owned and some are getting run down. If you do not rent through the resort they are not responsible for anything that goes wrong in your unit and we had a problem with the air conditioning and were completely unable to reach the manager for two days. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and we had to take the stairs from the 38th floor only to find it was a false alarm which they neglected to broadcast an update. The elevators & valet are extremely slow and it’s not unusual to wait over a half to an hour to come/go. We checked in on a Thursday & there was 1 bellman no carts. All in all I love this property

Trued to reach property by leaving message on phone as requested but NO RESPONSE. The Vale tried to charge $188 to park per night (desk said $38/night). After, check in the toilet didn’t flush and stains on the carpet. The front desk was informed and again the following morning and NO ONE CAME TO FIX THE TOILET.

The accommodations themselves were quite nice and we were very happy with them. My only complaint would be that it was very hard to get in touch with anyone regarding customer service. Before we arrived, we received an email stating there was a problem with our payment and that we needed to contact the property directly. We left numerous voice mails and emails and it took 24hrs for anyone to get back to us. Meanwhile, we were nervous that we were going to lose our reservation and end up flying to Florida and having no place to stay. It all worked out but it was VERY frustrating.

Choose Another Unit!

Listing says King bed, it is not, it’s a queen. Big difference when your husband is 6’3” tall.
Kitchen has no oven pans, oven mitts, dish towels, dish soap, sponges; no way to clean the counters or dishes you want to reuse.
Bathrooms have no tissues, one hand towel each, and both bathroom door handles pulled off at the beginning of our stay.
There was a hard candy stuck to the patio floor, covered in ants. There was food on the sofa, which ended up on my clothes, and another melted candy on the coffee table, which ended up on my iPad.
Because you are renting privately, the front desk can’t tell you if you can stay extra days, if your room is clean upon arrival, if breakfast is included with your room; and you don’t have daily maid service. A call to housekeeping will get you towels.
Due to the storm, we couldn’t fly home. The day before check out, I called the number listed on our reservation, I left a message at 9:30 am. At 2:30 pm I followed up with a text message via the Hotels.com system, explaining I REALLY needed to know if we could stay another day. I NEVER heard from anyone! I called Hotels.com and was told we could not stay. Check out time is 11:00 am, the cleaning woman showed up at 10:15.
I would stay at this property again but not in this unit. We stayed here last year and many things have improved since then, some have not. The elevators are woefully undersized for the number of floors, often requiring long waits and full elevators.
