Good for cheap stay. Hotel is quiet, need to go to second floor through elevator to get to lobby. Didn’t know when first coming so I kept looking on the ground floor. Overall decent stay, affordable since there aren’t any crazy amenities but it is in good location and not far from train

The shower/bath tub was the star of the show. We actually got a view from our window, so being able to look out the window every morning was nice. Bed was really comfy. Very convenient location and walking distance from Dotonbori, stores, dining, shopping places etc. Only con is the carpet, but they provide slippers for you to use even though we did not use.

Everything was great. I do wish the pillows were fluffier and a bigger walking space but the room and bath is bigger than most of the hotels I've been too. The location is great as well. I would definitely be back!

After reading several reviews I expected the rooms to be a lot smaller but I found the size was fairly average for Japanese hotels. We travelled as a couple and the room was fine space-wise, for three days. The toilet is separate from the rest of the bathroom which is not ideal imo, but the shower room is quite big. Wifi also worked great.
Upon check-in you are asked to block off three hours in the afternoon if you want the room tidied, during this time you have to be out of the room. This was not a problem for us as we would be out exploring but it’s something to note.

The wall is located conveniently by orange street, so you can easily go shopping. It was only a short walk away from Shinsaibashi, so easy enough to drop off your shopping bags before heading out. The room was quite small, but we managed. Our room was backing towards the highway so it was rather loud during the night when cars zoom by.

Would not recommend. The photos of the room shown were a lot brighter than reality, it was super dark, and the room smelled like cigarettes (granted it was a room that permitted smoking), but the odour was so strong that it seemed like the staff never even tried to get rid of the smell.
Room cleaning was a mess, they clean the room only once every 3 days, which was appointed on the night we arrived. and they did not even clean it on the third day for us. We had to ask for clean towels at the reception every single day.

Surprising cheap hotel at the heart of Osaka. We had the largest room on the floor based on the fire escape instructions, but the room was carpeted and it was FULL of stains. My partner complained that it was musty, although I didn't notice the smell. His allergies were also acting up, likely from the carpet.
I loved the separate toilet, sink, and shower/tub rooms. Makes it easy to stay there with another person and still be able to get ready at the same time.
The morning that we left, we asked the receptionist to call us a hotel and she basically told us to go outside and get one ourselves lol so service wasn't the best.

Check in had a very nice gentleman working in the lobby. During checkout I waited in the lobby for my friend to come down to checkout from his room and I was told I could not plug in my phone to charge it from the outlet and I was kicked out when I was sitting there waiting. The guy was watching me in the cameras to make sure I didn’t try to plug in my phone.

I stayed in this location because I was in town for night life and it was pretty much next door to the club I goto. It was perfect for that. Nice size shower is big bathroom is separate. Comfortable stay

An Inexpensive Hotel Close to all the Action.
This hotel is a nice balance between near it all and affordable. The bathroom and bathtub are large. Being 6'2 and trying to take a nice hot bath after a long day of walking/shopping and getting lost is usually impossible in most Japanese style hotels (kind of like trying to stuff yourself into one of those metal wash basins), but I found the tub to be sufficient in size (which was nice). The rooms are nice enough, but do show signs of age. They are clean and spacious (again, for a japanese style hotel room). I did like that the toilet had it's own room, some people may get a little confused by the bath/shower setup (do a little googling on this).
Non-Review information:
For JR Pass holders, the JR Namba station is about 5-6 blocks south of here. You are in the Dotonbori area, so you are about a block and a half north of the start of the river walk area, 2-ish blocks south of America-mura, and about 3-4 blocks south of Shinsaibashi station. Three blocks east is the main drag if you want to do some high-end shopping (Burberry, Prada, etc...), but if you go past that there are a bunch of shopping/food in that area.

The bathroom was big but the bedroom area was so small. There was no room to open our big luggage on the floor and we had to open it on a little table on top of the fridge. The carpet was quite dirty as well considering it is a relatively new hotel. We were given a room right next to the lift and the staircase to the bar upstairs, it got quite noisy sometimes.

Feels like this hotel is short of staff for the amount of rooms they have. I’ve requested more towels and waited for one hour and no staff appeared with the towels which was quite disappointing. However this hotel is quite good in terms of location and price :)

Nice hotel for a rest at a reasonable price. Lots of restaurants nearby. No Wi-Fi on the 1st day but got it fixed upon request on the 2nd day. The male staffs are helpful.

Good for what it is!
The Wall Hotel is a good hotel for the price and is located in a really unique area full of great boutique shops and eateries. It is located right next to the freeway which may not be ideal if you area a light sleeper. This did not, however, bother us during our stay and the hotel was quiet and clean. I would recommend walking to Orange Street (on the other side of the freeway) for shopping and eating.

The Wall Hotel is a decent place to stay but will only get better as time goes on. It seemed that this hotel was relatively new with some staff who meant very well but just didn't have the experience. Once they get the hang of it'll be an even better place to stay. For example, we had sent our bags from Kyoto to Osaka via takkyubin and when we got to the hotel our bags were sitting in the lobby. Other hotels we had stayed at had put them directly in the room. Furthermore, when we wanted to send our bags back to Tokyo, the staff seemed fairly confused on how to do so even though it's a very common practice in Japan. They did however care very much about our experience and in the end they did figure out how to do it with no problems.

Cozy hotel in the Local district of Osaka
We absolutely loved this hotel. It was very comfortable and cozy. The hotel is right next to a cat cafe and several local bars. We didn't go to the cat cafe but the bars around there were lower priced than the ones right on Dotonobori. There is also a Cabana on the rooftop of the hotel. This hotel was perfect for our Osaka trip.

Decided to book a trip down in Osaka for a few days, The Wall Hotel looked like it was a great find for an amazing price. Walk from Namba station was extremely close, walked underneath by the subway station so we wouldn't have to walk outdoors for too long since it was kind of cold! Hotel was very close to dotonbori. Hotel staff was very kind and helpful, also spoke decent English. Hotel is a boutique size, only 30 something rooms and a few floors. Elevator and stair access. Hotel lobby was clean and bright, restrooms and laptops for guest use available! Free wifi in lobby and hotel room included with stay. Hotel also let us keep our luggage checked with them before check in and even after check out on our last day. Rooms are quite small, but full size shower/tub and separate toilet. Very nice shiseido amenities included. Great overall stay for our first time in Osaka, will definitely come back again and recommend.

We had a comfortable stay in this boutique hotel. The English speaking staff was very accommodating. The room was compact but clean. Housekeeping was very good. The hotel was also located in a very hip area of Osaka with quaint shops and nice restaurants. The top floor of this hotel even had a bar overlooking the city.

Although is a small hotel, it's very clean and near to Dotonburi area. The room size is pretty big for 2 person especially you know that Hotel room size in Japan is generally small. Very comfortable bed for us. Will definitely be back if coming back to Osaka next time.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Wall. Room was comfortable and bathroom much bigger than other hotels in Japan. Plenty of toiletries. Walking distance to subway and Dotonbori (restaurants and nightlife). Staff was very friendly. Laptops for use in the lobby.

Great base to enjoy Dotonbori
The close proximity makes The Wall a great base to enjoy nightly spelunking sessions into Dotonbori. We stayed during the Halloween weekend and thouroughly immersed ourselves in the amazing atmosphere. The room was small-ish but we did not find it wanting for our needs - it was impeccably designed. Recommended!

Conveniently located and very spacious and clean.
The room itself was bigger than normal. The bathroom is a full size shower and tub, with a separate room with a toilet. It's very close to all eateries and shopping. In between Shinsaibashi and Namba station. On the rooftop is a restaurant that overlooks the city. We would stay here again and recommend friends and family to stay here also. It has a very urban artsy feel.

The rooms were oudated and not well maintained (stained rug, walls were dirty and the pictures on the website do not match the room in real life). However, the location was near a metro and Dotonbori. Although the hotel was near the American Village, it was quiet at night and plenty of restaurants all around the hotel.
