two groups of family stayed here for 5 nights. everyone love it here. very convenience. 7-11 inside the building, shopping and restaurants are in walking distance. bus station to airport is across the street from the hotel. a lot more simpler to ride a bus to the airport than riding the train. love the sauna and spa. Will Def. stay here again.

You check in yourself, you really don’t deal with staff unless you need something..the rooms were clean and had the amenities needed, except iron which you need to check out at front desk. They provide razors, soaps, toothbrush, etc…the beds and pillows were comfy…location close to station and close enough to Dotonbori..had a 7-11 in hotel 👍..had a double room so it seemed good size..single rooms would feel small…

Great location right next JR Namba station. Easy access to direct shuttle bus to/from KIX just steps away from hotel makes it super convenient. Having an onsite private bath gives an amazing experience. Rooftop view is excellent. Breakfast buffet is good but pricey. I would recommend you try once. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again next time.

The staff were wonderful - helpful and respectful. Check in and out was quick and easy. The room was clean and well maintained. The room was very small for two people but we made it work. The public bath was great once we were confident in the proper procedures to use it. We relaxed after a long day of walking. The massage was great too. I liked having the 7/Eleven on site. The restaurants in the hotel and surrounding areas (Osaru Coffee) were great and reasonably priced. Overall, pleased with the hotel, staff, and our stay there. Felt safe and close to shopping and food options. The pool was advertised when we booked but wasn’t/didn’t open while we were there. We could still go up to the 44 floor (where the pool and restaurant was) to check out the view. Impressive.

Excellent location. Steps away from Namba station , restaurants and shops.Self Check in and Check out. Incredible breakfast/lunch 6am-2pm Western and Japanese. It’s small. No room for luggages. Luggage’s are expected to push under the bed at all time otherwise there’s no room to walk. Bathroom is small. Barely room for daily essentials. Beautiful rooftop pool and public bath house. In house 7/11 and laundry room are pluses.

It was our first time in osaka. We really love the hotel. Near the train station, near dotonbori. The hotel staff are very helpful and respectful. We are so amazed how APA hotel thought of all the things needed for all the hotel guest. They have a 7-11 inside the building so the guest can buy food anytime when they are hungry or thristy. The even have cold and hot water dispenser. the laundry room is so clean, they even have a machine to suction all your things so your luggage will not be bulky. I would really recommend this hotel to everyone and would stay here again.

Rooms are small so only would recommend to those travelling as a couple or solo. Elevators take awhile and it gets really busy. Just wish crowd control is more maintained as a lot of people just standing around with big suitcases in middle of the floor. Overall the 7-11 was really convenient and cleaning crew does an excellent job!

Everything is great such as located beside ICAT for easy transfer from kix to hotel. The public bath is also great. The only downside nothing to do with hotel, is users of washer and dryer do not collect their items on time and so others couldn't use it.

No where did it state that if you wanted to use the public bath no tattoos were allowed until we checked in.

Pool on roof is closed until mid July, and I saw if you wanted to use it - priced around 1000Y per hour.

Bed was horrible.

First hotel I've been to that didn't have umbrellas guests could use.

Recommend not staying here, unless you dont care about the above-mentioned the location is what takes the cake. Great.

Hotel Apa was really clean and had good amenities but the situation with the elevators is a bit of a challenge we stayed Saturday and Sunday night and on Saturday night the line to go up to your room was about 60 people. There are 12 elevators half that go up to the first 21 floors and the other half the top but there was a lot of congestion. Same for leaving in the morning it took on average about 10 minutes to get an elevator. It’s a massive tower so it makes sense but a challenge none the less.

Positives: great location, great views from high floors, staff very helpful when there are issues.

The most concerning aspect of our stay was when we woke up after the first night and saw that the smoke alarm was covered in plastic - that's probably illegal as it won't be able to detect any smoke!

Abysmal internet, the connection kept dropping off. On the last day it was almost non-existent, had to ring reception who had to restart it.

Need cleared instructions in public spa area. Lots of foreigners didn't rinse themselves before entering various public bath, pretty disgusting.

Excellent location and a great stay overall. The hotel has a shared bath (sento) for guests, which was a wonderful bonus. There is also a convenience store inside the hotel, making it very convenient.

We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The food was decent, although not particularly outstanding. However, the excellent location and facilities more than made up for it.

I would happily stay here again.

We booked a last‑minute stay at this hotel after a typhoon disrupted our original plans, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. We reserved two triple rooms; the beds are twin‑size by American standards, so each room comfortably fits three people.

After checking in, we stopped by the bar for drinks and food, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. The hotel’s amenities and overall design were outstanding—modern, convenient, and thoughtfully laid out. It’s also in a great location: close to Namba Station and the JR line, and about a 12‑minute walk to the Dotonbori area.

Our rooms had incredible views, and even though we could hear the storm winds outside, the comfort of the hotel made it easy to relax. There’s a 7‑Eleven inside the building, which was extremely convenient.

The hot tub and pool are located on the top floor, though there is an additional fee to use them. The onsen is free, but note that it follows traditional Japanese customs—no swimsuits allowed—so be prepared if you’re not familiar with onsen etiquette.

Checkout is at 10 a.m., and the hotel offers free luggage storage. A tip: the line for luggage storage starts forming around 9 a.m., and many guests wait until right at 10 to drop their bags, so plan accordingly.

Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice for business travelers, solo visitors, couples, and families. Highly recommended.

- [ ] From the irritating self check-in that had a person over our shoulder and did require finally a person check in because my passport wouldn’t read on their automatic scanner, this was a penny pinching place that I would avoid.
- [ ] The location of this place was great since one could walk to Doton bori areas but that was it; huge buildings everywhere makes it feel like you’re living in a canyon. It was very close to the Osaka Namba station (could walk using underground tunnels) which was also a good thing.
- [ ] This was the only hotel amongst all our stays which did not provide heated toilet seats. Can you believe that? Even the trains have them. Saving money wherever they could.
- [ ] The rooms were cruise ship small and you could barely get inside with your bags. Bags had to go under the bed using your Tetris skills. Bathrooms were also like a cruise ship; you could touch all the walls while standing. Ridiculous for a rich hotel chain. You could feel the greed behind this one.
- [ ] I booked on Expedia which later revealed that each day was a different charge; may have been some algorithmic basis behind it.
- [ ] Breakfast (thankfully included) was good but the same affair everyday.
- [ ] The wait at the elevators was ridiculous. 40 floors of people fighting to get up and down every day. The last day during checkout at 10am; it took us 25 minutes to get an elevator and we had to ride one up just to get back down!
- [ ] Would not stay here again b

Excellent location. Great staffing. Rooms/bath are small but efficient - store bags under beds. I prefer more standard western-sized hotel rooms but there was limited availability during my time there. This was a great value for the price if you are ok with limited room space.

Check-in was automated and connected you by speakerphone to an associate if you needed help. It was actually really efficient and fast this way. There were adequate staff throughout the day and night - went several times.

Consider a late checkout or drop off your luggage early if you plan on leaving your luggage at the concierge - it's a long line in the morning. You can late check out up to 3 hours.

Beds were comfortable. There was glasses/pitcher and filtered water dispenser in the hallway. Great info on the TV - free movies (even a few in english), town info, discount codes for shopping at some of the nearby stores, hotel info, and even reservation changes right through the TV. Bathroom is small, but fully functional - bidet, tub (smaller sized), good water pressure and hot water, and grooming supplies/robes/slippers provided. Daily towel exchange. They cleaned the room often.

Laundry room seemed busy. There is a gym you can pay to access hourly. I didnt go in but it looked pretty basic. There are gyms nearby that offer passes for better rates. There is a 7-Eleven outside and in the hotel, so super convenient. There is an onsen and pool deck but didn't make it to either one.

Would stay again.

As with other APA hotels, the room was pretty tiny, but this is expected. Location is close to Bus Terminal and JR station, but not as close to Dotonbori and Namba station as other hotels.

I liked the room and the hotel amenities especially having a 7-11 in the hotel. Room was small but typical for Japan. The check in was not good. One person taking in all the luggage while four staff members just stand at the front desk not helping at all. Then when you check in you have to do it on a machine the front desk people don’t even help with that. Total cluster…. The hotel plays super annoying music in the lobby which you can hear through the door of your room 24 hours a day when sleeping.

It was a great stay at this location. Very conveniently located at JR Namba Station. OCAT right next door was a plus getting to KIX. The hotel was gorgeous and had everything we needed. Rooms are small but enough for two. The only complaint is about the elevator waits during peak times. Bonus having 7-11 in the building! Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at APA Osaka. It was an easy check-in through the machines in the lobby. The room was clean and a wide selection of amenities was provided. We were unable to use the pool/spa because my partner is tattooed, but no worries there. Though we elected to not have our room serviced, they dropped off clean towels every evening for us at our door. It was a great location with plenty to do nearby (we LOVED Osaru coffee) and close to the station. We would absolutely stay at an APA again, especially APA Osaka. The elevators do get busy during peak morning and evening times but there are plenty so you never wait long.

Room and hotel were clean and modern, but the real drawback was that there is virtually no seating in any communal area, which is a major drawback if you have companions in other rooms. There is absolutely no seating in the lobby. There are a few outdoor chairs in the 4th floor area outside the baths, but your chances of getting one are slim. Not great for being able to relax with friends in the hotel.

The APA Hotel is very convinently located to public transportation making it easy together around Osaka. The rooms are small by US standards, if you have lots of luggage it could be hard to store. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were the worst I ever had in any hotel. They felt like a foam rubber that had been run over by a steamroller. Very uncomfortable. If I ever go back to the hotel I would bring a pillow.

40 floor viewing area closed at best time in evening.
Pool closed during 80 degree day.
No place to sit except for a few chairs in front of laundry.
Lobby ridiculously busy .
Long lines waiting for check in and baggage and shuttle.
Rooms ridiculously small. Great lesson learned, I avoided APA for next 2 bookings.
Im not likely to stay again, unless in a pinch.

Amazing hotel! Very clean, well maintained, friendly and helpful staff! One of the best features of this hotel is the LOCATION! Bus took us directly from KIX airport to the station next to hotel. From the hotel we had access to 2 of the main train/subway stations and had access to absolutely everywhere we wanted to go. Short walking distance to the main places you want to visit while in Osaka. One sad thing is that the gym is a la carte, meaning you have to pay $20 each use. But for the very affordable price of the rooms here, it wasnt that big of a deal to pay for the gym. Also, in true America fashion, dont plans on the Osen with Tattoos. Unless you have only 2 and small enough to cover with skin tape. Other than that, thing place was perfect for my wife and I. Also, a little bed hack, get a 2 twin bed room and push them together for MEGA BED! Have fun and enjoy, we sure did!
