Everything went well, a little confusing during the check in process, the staff make you do it yourself and it can be a little confusing, but the staff help me. The hotel has a good ubication, sheps are nearby. The only thing that I didn´t like personally was the bed, to me was a little bit stiff and the pillow was super stiff. But overall I rate this hotel 9/10.

Rooms are very basic and a bit tight for twin beds. Missed having an electrical outlet in the bathroom, needed to use my waterpik.
Liked having the buffet breakfast however could not eat it every morning as it was not totally my taste. Location was fantastic and close to subway.

Hotel in perfect location. Located right near popular areas such as Dotonbori, America-mura, and various other tourist areas. We stayed 6 days and found the room size to be acceptable as long as you’re smart with your luggage placement. Staff were friendly. Highly recommend hotel.

Location:
About a 14-minute walk from Namba Station. Pro tip: if you use Google Maps, it routes you through paths with elevators instead of stairs — so you won’t have to drag your luggage up and down train station steps (a small win after a long flight).

The hotel is conveniently located in Namba. It’s within walking distance to the famous Glico Running Man Sign, a Don Quijote Dotonbori branch a few blocks away, and several well-known ramen spots nearby.

The Room:
Pretty standard Japanese hotel size — compact but efficient. I was assigned a room without a street view, which made it quieter but nothing scenic. It’s simple, clean, and functional.

The only slightly tricky part was figuring out the light and AC controls since everything was in Japanese — but thank goodness for the iPhone camera translate feature. Problem solved in minutes.

Service & Amenities:
The staff speaks decent English and were helpful during my stay. Breakfast buffet is your typical business hotel spread — solid, but after Day 3, I definitely felt the repetition.

Overall:
It’s not luxurious, but it does exactly what it’s meant to do. Clean room, good location, reasonable price. For a base in Namba, it gets the job done.

Great location! Free breakfast is actually not bad. Only had it once during my 3 day stay, but it helps to start your day. Room is small, which is normal for Japanese hotels. Beds are hard and stiff, so if it’s a dealbreaker for you, I recommend looking somewhere else. Lobby is always busy, as they bring tourists from China everyday by bus

This review has bias since we were feeling ill while staying here. Check in was done on a machine, staff helped and explained hotel policies. Hotel room was a smoking room, no other smoking facility on the premises. Room smelled so horrible of smoke. The bed was so stiff and uncomfortable. The room was very noisy with sounds heard from the street as well as the hallway. Hotel does not provide free water bottles, only a water jug in the lobby that you are unable to fill water bottles with. AC/Heat unit was confusing to use and not effective. Hotel staff only partially helped with luggage forwarding services. Would not stay at this franchise again.

Location is very near dotonburi, near namba, and also very close to the station, the amenities are adequate, rooms are clean, and the staff are very accommodating to your inquiries. But it is a big hotel near popular areas so if you like quiet this is not the hotel for you.

This hotel sucked to be honest. I loved Osaka, but the hotel its self sucked. It was cold and uninviting. The staff had poor communication and as a result I was woken up via phone call when I specifically requested to not be contacted about cleaning until a certain time and the do not disturb sign was on my door. I absolutely would never stay here again.

The hotel was in a busy part of the city, which was nice because we were so close to main attractions. The hotel has storage lockers, so we were able to leave our luggage there before officially checking into the room. Breakfast was good with a lot of options. They had “light cleaning” every day, and on the third day of the stay, the staff would do a full cleaning. One thing that bothered me was that when I requested an extra towel, we were charged for it. I have never been asked to pay for extra linens in a hotel before. Overall, I would still stay in this hotel again, due to its wonderful location and the super helpful staff!

Make sure you check out by 10am. I was not aware and received a call a few minutes after 10am and was told to pay late check out fee.
Usually check out is 11 or 12 noon, at most of the hotel. But this one is very early. By 10am, if you didn't check out, no call to alert you, when you receive a call, it is time to pay additional fee.
This is not acceptable and it was not highlighted during check in.

The most uncomfortable hotel I have ever stayed in. I did not get 1 decent night of rest. The noise bleed through the walls was ridiculously loud and I have slept on floors more comfortable than the beds in this place. I have been coming to Japan for a decade and have slept on hard beds, but the beds and pillows in this place were horrible. Additionally the rooms smelled really strange and that smell got all over my clothes.

Its in a good location and is a good place to stash your bags, but thats about it.

Location : around 7-10 min walk to the nearest station Namba. 3 min walk to Lawson. 10 min walk to takashimaya shopping mall.

Room: don’t expect the room in big city like Osaka will give you a spacious room. At least for me it is reasonable size for a solo traveller

Breakfast: free breakfast. The quality and variety is better than I expected even though it is free of charge.

We had a room with a queen bed & 2 twin beds. To our surprise, we had 2 bathrooms for us to use. It was a convenient. Our room was spacious- got a space for a 2 seater sofa to relax in. When I first entered the hotel the staff was very kind, and the check in process was really quick and simple. When I eventually got to my to room, the second I walked in, I noticed a scent of cigarette smoke coming from inside. I then opened the window to let some fresh air in, but due to the location of the hotel, there was a lot of commotion going on outside. Then, when I finally decided to lay down, the bed was insanely firm. Probably one of the worst beds I’ve had to sleep on before.

Overall rating is Good! Close to Dotonbori, close to train stations & convenient store (Lawson). Hotels cleanliness was excellent! However, the bed was fairly hard it’s something to get used to. The staff were very friendly! I had a smoking room issued to me but I personally do not smoke & the staff was willing to give a non-smoking room for free! The laundry room was user friendly! I would recommend The Toyoko Inn Osaka Namba!

Breakfast is free for guests which is a big plus as not many places nearby are open until11am. The breakfast however is a bit meh. Sausages taste weird. Most of the food tastes like cafeteria food or airplane food. Then again its free cant complain too much. They have a coffee machine free for use for guests which is amazing. Surprisingly not many guests using it which is wonderful. Hotel is very clean and has all the essentials. Definitely a great budget hotel that has all the essentials. Wifi is very slow however.

Enjoyed our stay very much. It was close to Dotonbori and there was a lot of food options, breakfast was delicious and excellent. Would stay here again. The staff was very nice. The room we chose was on the smaller size, but we made it work. We also knew the room was small. They had space to store the luggage under the bed. We had two large suitcases and two carry on suitcases. They had complimentary coffee also. For breakfast they had two areas, traditional Japanese breakfast and a downstairs area with baked goods like crossaints and coffee.
