The first room assigned to us smelled musty. The front desk clerk moved us to the top floor which was better. We just had to wait for about 30 minutes to have it ready.
Otherwise, it was a good experience overall.

I loved this place! It was centrally and perfectly located, they also offered welcome drinks and snacks, that you could enjoy everyday - it was great! The facial products and amenities were awesome. And the shower was top notch!! The hotel itself was super clean, well maintained - and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly! I would def stay again the next time I’m in Osaka! ❤️

Great location right in the heart of Namba. We were able to walk almost everywhere easily, which made exploring Osaka very convenient.

Check-in, however, felt a bit chaotic and confusing upon arrival. We booked connecting rooms for our family of five — one room with three beds and the other with two. While many reviews describe the rooms as large by Japanese standards, they still felt extremely tight for three people, especially with luggage. There was very little space to comfortably store or access our bags.

The rooms did include a refrigerator, and the hotel offers complimentary drinks and coffee downstairs, which was a nice touch. The showers were surprisingly spacious, and the amenities were excellent. They provided toothbrushes, brushes, facial cleansers, lotions, creams, hair products, pajamas, and slippers, which we appreciated.

A few additional things to note: there is no gym at the hotel, and construction was taking place during our stay, which added some noise and disruption at times.

Unfortunately, the breakfast was very disappointing. After trying it the first morning, we chose not to use that amenity again during our stay.

Overall, while the location is excellent, we noticed a neighboring hotel in the same area that appeared similarly priced but significantly nicer. Because of that, I think there are better options in Namba that still offer the same convenience and location benefits. Personally, I would not stay here again.

Air conditioning has 2 settings only, on and off. You can’t change the point so if you like a really cold room this may not be your place. It works well enough as a retreat from the summer heat. They currently have some renovations in work but the property is still well maintained for the open areas. Overall very clean with helpful staff in the reception area.

Good, clean room and helpful staff. The air conditioning is very poor and despite having it on full blast and the lowest temperature setting the room was very hot. I have not had this issue at the many other hotels we stayed at on our trip. Great option otherwise, but if you need to be cold to sleep, I would think twice about staying here.

This hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very small no place to store your luggage and they had a table with 2 small chairs that wasn’t needed in the room all it did was make the space more crowded. The air conditioner was older and it wasn’t efficient the room didn’t really get cool at all only at night. The shower was nice and had a rainfall shower head if you wanted to use that, the bathroom was in a separate room. One thing I liked about the hotel was that they had a 24hr lounge area where you could get free soft drinks, coffee, and tea and also snacks and the area could be used for eating take out food or just to get out of the small room for a bit. They also had a washer and dryer that I used but the dryer didn’t dry all our clothes and it didn’t have the option to just use the dryer only I informed the front desk and they knew about the dryer and gave us directions to another coin laundry down the street, I wished they would of been told to us before using the washer/dryer or at least had signage to let us know. My husband tried the buffet he wasn’t impressed with the food at all. It was an enjoyable stay and would stay again even with the minor inconveniences it was still a nice place to stay and the location was excellent in proximity to food, shopping, and the train stations.

we stayed here for 6 nights and loved our stay! the hotel is a comfortable distance (about a 5-minute walk) away from Dotonbori. we liked this location because it’s near Dotonbori but not directly affected by the noise and hustle.

the hotel is equally near both namba and shinsaibashi stations which makes traveling out of the area very accessible. Shinsaibashisuji street is only a 2-minute walk away, which made shopping very easy.

there is lots of great food, especially all-day breakfast options, nearby. there’s also a family mart just downstairs, which was perfect for late-night snacks or quick runs.

we really enjoyed the free flow drinks machine on the first level - the drinks were actually delicious! the amenities were amazing too - we appreciated the fact that they provide free umbrellas for use when it rained.

our only gripe would be that the air-conditioning didn’t feel cold enough at times. the windows also could not be opened which made it feel stuffy. It would also be useful to have more standalone usb-c plugs points, especially near the bed. the bed in the double king room was a tad bit big for 2 people, which negatively affected the amount of walking space.

nonetheless, we had a great experience. we highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back and stay again!

The best part about this hotel for me was their Excellent location, it was minutes away from the train station, dontobori and shensaibashi. Great lobby with refreshments. Rooms were decent size with good sized beds, there was plenty of room (interconnecting rooms) for 5 of us.

One of the best hotel experiences I ever had. Very well positioned hotel in the heart of a fascinating neighbourhood. The lobby has a free self serve pop machine and cappuccino machine and snacks. The breakfast buffet is excellent. There is laundry available which was very useful. The cost of a room was less than half of what we paid for a similar room in Tokyo.

The best location. Everything is only a few minutes walk, Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi shopping, metro line, vintage shops, family mart is across the road, eateries are just outside the hotel. There’s no view even though we’re at the top floor but it’s the roomiest hotel we’ve had during our trip. The king bed is massive and you can open 3 big luggage on the floor with no issues. There is no wardrobe but plenty of clothe hangers. There is a lounge/dinner room on the ground floor that you can use anytime except breakfast unless you opt in. Otherwise guest use it for lunch or diner. Some guest buy take out and use it to dine instead of using your own room. Unlimited soda drinks and coffee (ground coffee and not the 3 in 1). Some free nibbles to go with your coffee or drinks. Highly recommended and will use it again when we come back to Osaka.

Everything was perfect accept for the laundry.
The entire hotel has 2 laundry machines on the 2nd floor. The hotel posted a sign for people to remove their laundry immediately when done but many people don’t. They let hotel guest set a code for the machine so other guests can not remove the laundry but the owner. I guest it’s a good thing until the person forgot to remove the laundry and went for dinner or something.
I would suggest the hotel to have a master override system or put a penalty fee for time people don’t remove their laundry. They will remember to set a timer for sure.

The hotel is located conveniently near Dotonbori, so there are plenty of food and shopping options nearby. The hotel also has laundry service in-house, which is convenient. However, there are only 2 machines, so there are always line-ups to do laundry. The room is also very tight so the washroom situation might be awkward as it is right next to the bed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Karaksa Hotel Osaka Namba. We spent two nights here during a quick trip to Universal Studios Japan, and it turned out to be a great choice. Check-in was quick and efficient, which we appreciated after a long day of travel. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Namba’s main attractions as well as nearby train and subway stations. We did get turned around a couple of times and accidentally wandered into the bar district, but that was more on us than the location.Check-out was just as smooth, and the staff were incredibly helpful—especially when they assisted us in arranging a taxi to Yamato Transport so we could send our luggage back to Tokyo for next-morning delivery. The hotel’s baggage transport service would have taken two days, so this option worked perfectly for our schedule. They also mentioned Airporter as a same-day luggage delivery option to the airport. Overall, this is a great hotel for the price, with an excellent location and very helpful staff.

This hotel is absolute crème de La crème! The size of the room is worth the price alone. The snacks and toiletries they priced were over the top of any hotel for sure! From exfoliating bath to free chocolates available in the middle of the night, we were comfortable right in the middle of Dontonbori! The staff were very helpful and made our stay during special by the festive decorations, having Christmas snacks available, had a person dress as a Christmas tree, and placing a snack fill holiday boot on our doors for Christmas Day. The room was spotless. The room had pajamas, and slippers. We got a connecting room for our family. The hotel looks newer and more modern compared to the surrounding area.
