Fantastic location. Right in the heart of Dotonbori. Room was quite small but expected for Japan. Breakfast was unique and extensive for a smaller hotel. Limited laundry facilities for size of hotel.

My biggest pet peeve is cleanliness in a hotel. I’m not sure if it’s because of the location (Dontobori which is pretty dirty) but this hotel was not it. Our room was actually pretty gross with the walls stained, the carpet visibly stained, the toilet paper roll stained….I have no words. Additionally, when we got there we read a sign (we weren’t told we had to read a sign) that says there’s construction in the building next to us from February 16th, 2026 to October 20th, 2026 and we will most likely hear noises. During the week we heard the construction (loudly) but luckily at night and during the weekend we did not. I tried to be positive while we stayed so to be fair the location is in the middle of the chaos of Dontobori, fairly priced, and view was nice. But if you are a tourist and don’t want to stay in the Japan version of Las Vegas/New York do not stay here. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

Hotel Forza Osaka Namba is a fantastic choice, highlighted by its unbeatable location right in the heart of Namba, making it incredibly easy to walk to Dotonbori and local transit lines. The food was a major highlight, featuring a delicious variety of high-quality local specialties at breakfast, and the entire property boasts excellent, modern accessibility. Throughout the stay, the services were top-notch, with incredibly welcoming and helpful staff. The only downside was a lack of ventilation, which caused the room to get quite hot and stuffy at times. Despite the room temperature issue, the excellent hospitality and prime location make it a place I would absolutely recommend.

Look, I'm not gonna lie. When it comes to location, this place is all Aces! Right in the middle of Dotonbori street is a pretty great place to be, if you don't mind stepping out into the chaos of that street. Lots of restaurants, shops, and arcades nearby. That being said, there are some things to consider before you book here.

1: The room is much smaller than you expect. Certainly smaller than the photos represent.

2: There were unidentifiable stains on our carpet. We ended up putting extra towels over them, because God knows what they came from.

3: There was a sewer gas smell that kept appearing in our bathroom, despite us having the fan on.

4: The laundry situation... Look, if the hotel is anywhere near capacity, good luck being able to do your laundry on site. They only have 3 very small washing machines for this huge hotel. They also don't clean the machines very often, from what I could tell.

I'm not going to beat a dead horse here. I've certainly stayed in much worse. It's not a bad hotel. It's just not a great one. If location is the most important thing to you, then feel free to book this hotel for your stay.

Really smooth check-in process and staff spoke sufficient English. Can book luggage transfer online w a QR code, they provide a pamphlet. Also hold your luggage behind doors. Provide water, ice, laundry (need to pay), pajama nightgown, and coffee/tea. Great water pressure, super quiet considering it’s in the middle of dotonbori. Would stay here again definitely!!

Hotel was overall nice but the cleaning in the rooms could be better. Black mold on shower head, old liquid stains on wall near trash can, various splatter marks on tables. These are obvious to the naked eye. I can only imagine how gross the carpets are.

As for as the neighborhood, you’re either going to love it hate it. It’s probably the most touristy and dirtiest streets in all of Osaka.

The hotel was surprisingly quiet inside except for the 24/7 construction going on outside that we were not notified of until our arrival. No email or message from hotel. If you’re on the eastern side of hotel you might be able to feel the vibrations at night from the construction like I did although I admit I am fairly sensitive to these kinds of things when sleeping, I must admit.

Overall hotel could be better if cleaning was improved. Location didn’t do it for me but that’s subjective.

Air conditioning was very bad during our stay. Even with the AC fan set to high, it barely felt like any air was coming out. The thermostat was set to 20°C, which is the lowest setting, but the room still felt very hot, especially at night.

We stayed for 3 nights and were sweating every night because of how warm the room was. We complained to the front desk multiple times, but they said they could not do anything about it. They also did not have fans to provide. One staff member even suggested using the humidifier as a fan.

If you are coming from a cold place or you are a hot sleeper, I would recommend choosing a different hotel.

The best about this hotel is the location. Its right in the heart of Dotonbori. Everything is in 10 to 15min walking distance. But the rooms are very small. If you take large luggage, it will take most of the floor space.

The location is PERFECT!! You are right in the middle of all the action. The nice thing is even though you are on a busy street, you couldn’t hear any of the noise from outside. The amenities they offered were extensive. The staff was nice. The room was good, there was space to put our two large suitcases. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Hotel Forza Osaka Namba Dotonbori for 5 days and 4 nights, and it was a great experience. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Upon arriving earlier than our checkout time, we were able to leave our luggage there and explore in the meantime.

The fact that the hotel is right on Dotonbori is super convenient, as the moment you walk outside, you are met with endless amount of restaurants and cool shops to visit.

As far as the hotel goes, it was extremely clean, and the room was a comfortable size for two. The lobby was also very nice and spacious.

Despite being right on Dotonbori, the hotel lobby itself is on the 3rd floor, which means it was actually quiet and you cannot hear any noise or chatter from the busy street that is Dotonbori.

If you wish to stay in a neat, clean hotel located in the heart of Dotonbori, stay at Forza. This is our second time staying here and it is a perfect base to not only explore the local area, it is about a brisk 6 minutes walk to Namba Station. Despite the noise outside, the room was very quiet. They also supply water, coffee and an endless supply of room amenities such as razors, wash cloths and skin cream. Will probably return a third time.

Loved the location. Hotel staff was good. Didn’t really need much during our stay. We sit need room cleaning but the staff would always ask to change out our towels and take our garbage. The breakfast was great. Had enough items from mini pancakes sausages cereals and Japanese options. Rooms are small but we managed even with 4 luggage’s. Room had blackout shades which was nice. Hotel had laundry which don’t dry very well. We took it out to dry. There is a coffee machine for all day use and toiletries but no floss. Ice machine with plastic cups. Shower water pressure was good. Beds are firm. We walked everywhere from hotel. Train from Namba was convenient to Universal and to KIX airport.

Great hotel in great location. Staff was friendly and the hotel was very clean. Appreciate the decent size room and the separate bathroom and shower. This allowed multiple people to use the restroom at the same time. Some free amenities to pick up and they always offered free iced water, coffee, and hot cocoa down in the lobby.

I’ve stayed in some cheap hotels, but I have never experienced anything as filthy as this hotel. Sheets were stained, and I could FEEL dirt in the bed. Walls were stained; carpets were visibly dirty. I have never asked to switch rooms in a hotel before, but I had no choice here. Staff was apologetic and showed me to another room, which was almost as filthy. When I mentioned the stained sheets, I was told, “That is the condition of all of our sheets.” The difference was that I couldn’t FEEL dirt in the bed in the new room, so I accepted it. I was there during cherry blossom season, so there were no vacancies anywhere else. But please steer clear of this hotel. It is absolutely disgusting!

Prime location; right in the heart of Dotonbori! Easy access to many restaurants, street food, and shopping. Stayed here during first week of April, from afternoon until late evening the area was packed with tourists. Minutes away from metro stations.

The triple room was comfortable for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young children). Great amenities like laundry facility, bathroom amenities, and compliment coffee/tea. Staff was friendly. Our room was ready right at check-in time. Reasonable wifi. Clean room and rather quiet.

the hotel puts you right in the middle of the action so when you're done stuffing your face or getting drunk, you can easily go back to your hotel and relax. it is clean and comfortable. i didnt hear any street noise from the top floor. the staff was nice. i felt a little rushed by the guy who checked us in. the hotel

Excellent location especially with kids as they have a claw machine store right downstairs. Lots of food choices like takoyaki and the best ramen stall within steps and lots of shopping nearby with a Donki close too! Staff was helpful and accommodating! The only thing I did not like is that they only had 3 washing/drying machines and it was always being used, at least it has a QR code to inform you on your phone how long it has been running for. Room is quite small and tight though, hard to open both sides of our luggages. Overall a pleasant stay!

The location of this property is excellent. Be careful, the moment you step out you are stepping into a battle field; shoulder to shoulder walking with an army of people… but once you come back from the market madness and you step into the hotel it is heaven. You hear none of of the noise that is outside. The only thing I did not like is the internet service .. it was extremely slow and I was unable to play any videos even at like a 144p.

This place is in a great location. It looks new and the room size was good for the price. I would give it five stars except that our room had a stench to it. We tried running the air purifier provided and that didn't help and when we tried telling the front desk their solution was to spray some febreze. I'm sure its an isolate incident because we could clearly see the stains in the carpet, but other than that it was good.

This hotel was perfect! Right in the middle of the Dotonburi with easy access to two different train lines within a 10 minute walk. Despite being right on the main row it was surprisingly quiet at night.

The hotel has everything you need! Pajamas, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, 24 hour coffee and tea.

The room we had was large enough for the 3 of us with an amazing shower room and little bench for our luggage.

Location was at the heart of Dotonbori! Once you step out of the hotel, you're greeted with all of the amazing food, shopping, and friendly Osaka residents.
Although, the hotel is right on the loud and lively Dotonbori street, the hotel is peaceful and we barely heard any nosies from outside!
The service is friendly and professional and they helped get our room ready faster than expected.
There is a laundry room on the 3rd floor with 3 washer/dryer combos. These machines automatically depsense detergent and softener so you just need to supply the machines with 100yen coins. The dryer isn't as strong so you may need to run just the drying cycle an extra 30mins or so.
Room was spacious compared to other hotels in the area. Not too much space to put multiple luggages, nor is there closet or closed drawers - so you'll be using your luggage as the main closet.
The humidifier in the room can get loud and its running 24/7. You can adjust the fan level, but you'll need to translate which is the correct button.
The rooms felt slightly worn and the carpet felt a little dirty. There is no genkan (doorway space to take off your shoes, so all of the traffic the carpet has seen with shoes running all over them can be felt. This is probably the biggest con of the room.
TV has youtube and other major streaming apps installed and can support device casting/sharing.
In room wifi is ok, a bit slow, butdoes the job.
Overall great western style hotel in the area!

What's so FUN with Hotel Forza is that it is a the very HEART of where the ACTION is! Is just a 3 minute walk to EBISU BASI SUJI where GLICO RUNNING MAN is. The 24 hour Don Quixote with the UNIQUE GIANT FERRIS WHEEL is just right across the street. It is what's greeting us every morning as we open our window curtains! The STAFF, from the front desk to the Dining Room, they are all wonderful, friendly, always ready to help and with a big smile that made us so welcomed. The laundry facility and the Free Coffee Bar and the use of the Microwave are a plus for us! The Dining hall which is open for guests to use 24 hours was a pleasant surprise, since, the very street that the hotel was in was a street food haven; Takoyaki, Wagyu on sticks, Melon Pan, Corn on the Cob, Crabs on a skewers, you name it, this street has it! One will never get hungry when staying at Forza... All you need is to get to the elevator and voila! Street food galore! Plus, the KURA SUSHI is on the same building! And a Family Mart right across the street, and an ICHIRAN next door which is open 24 hours will always make one want to wake up at 2am just to grab food! Our room was perfect for 2 adults. It is much bigger than a standard Japanese hotel room. Ours came at 19sqft. The King size bed was comfortable for us. We always had a good nights rest. We will definitely stay here again! Checking in and checking out was a breeze! ❤️

The hotel staff are very friendly and polite. Super easy to check in and they speak English good enough to get the job done. The room is good size, very clean and comfy. Don't expect to have big room in Japanese big cities so it meets my expections and have enjoyed my staty.

My stay at Hotel Forza was pleasant. Its location is 10/10, convient to access to the Dotonbori area. Walking, shopping ,dinning ready for you to enjoy. Staffs were very polite,helpful. They speak English good enough to get the job done.
