The location is excellent. Dontonbori is just just around the corner 5min walk, aeon food supermarket is 1minn walk. Lots of shops and restaurants around. Breakfast was great. Rooftop onsen is a beautiful place after a busy visit during the day. Staffs are very friendly. The only thing that may not be perfect is laundry, which costs 1700yen to wash and dry. However, at least they have the facilities

Check in was easy, room was spacious, relaxation area was nice. Breakfast buffet was the same everyday and would’ve loved it the items were warmer. Hotel was really close and walkable to the trains. Stay was going really well until we arrived back to our room after being out all day and the cleaning staff failed to close our hotel room door. Immediately contacted the front desk and but there was no further follow up.

Amazing location, polite english speaking front desk staff, clean room, small but manageable, broken cabinet door for small fridge unit 734, no safe, spa at the upper floor, wifi connectivity is really bad. Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, Kuromon Market within walking distance. Please improve your wifi connectivity, it’s not easy to plan the day without proper internet connection.

I gotta be honest - I hate being an online review Karen but I imagine this will be useful info both for the hotel AND future patrons. The Candeo Tower in Umeda is super nice however the Namba one is truly filthy. Filthy carpets, filthy walls, busted up paint job, shabby furniture with stains. It’s really gross and grimy and for the price, it should be MUCH cleaner. If you have cleanliness OCD, do not stay here.

It was our first time in Japan and staying here in Osaka was a great experience. Room was quite small but we made it work. Loved that they provided pajamas and the room was clean. The area was ideal, very close walk to dotonbori and other areas. The staff was very helpful when we needed two of our luggage delivered to our next hotel in Shibuya. The staff called our next hotel and got all the information down. It was an easy process and must be done before 2pm if you want it delivered the following day. I would definitely stay here again!

We asked if there were bigger rooms to upgrade, we did not mind paying more, but we were told all rooms in that location were all the same size. They should not be advertising those rooms for 3 adults, we were literally tripping over our luggage .

The low rating is all about the room. The room was small. The room had too much furniture in it making the useable space even smaller. The two beds were pressed together with one of the beds pressed up against a wall making it difficult for one person to get in or out of bed. The bathroom was like something you would find on a cruise ship only smaller.

The hotel needs some updates as there are stains on the carpet and furniture. There was alit of dust on the vents throughout and the smell of must when we entered the room.

We chose the hotel since it’s close to Dotomburi and walkable distance to Shinsaibashi. It says it’s in Namba but it’s more than 20mins walk to Namba Parks area and station.
Overall we are happy with their service and cleanliness.
However, the laundry self service costs rather expensive, the cost is calculated per 10 mins. In order to tumble dry a full load it needs at least 60 mins plus. At hotel, we pay a flat rate to tumble dry. This is the only downside

No complementary beverages except for vending machines. Fees for laundry is a rip off. 500 Y don’t even include detergent for 30 minutes. Drying is even worse. 100Yen for 10 minutes.
Breakfast was ok, not great.
I left my expensive hat in the hotel room when I checked out. Called the hotel the next day and they said they found nothing in the room. I’m pretty sure the staff has taken it.
Don’t recommend this hotel.

Tourists have really ruined this area. If you are bringing small kids or teens, I don't recommend this area.

We stayed at Candeo Hotels Osaka for two nights and were thoroughly impressed by the experience. While our room was minimalist in design, it was impeccably clean, well-organized, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

What stood out most were the exceptional amenities. From the luxurious rooftop sky spa and onsen to the high-quality toiletries, robes, and in-room conveniences, every detail was thoughtfully curated to enhance the guest experience. The serene atmosphere of the onsen, especially in the evening, provided the perfect way to unwind after a busy day exploring Osaka.

The location was also a huge plus—conveniently situated near public transport, restaurants, and shopping, yet quiet enough to enjoy a restful night’s sleep.

The staff were courteous, professional, and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free.

Not sure if I am biased. The Kyoto hotels that we stayed were better than this hotel in Osaka. Breakfast quality wise, it’s average. I guess maybe the hotel had so many guests that the overall experience became less relaxed. It’s possible that it’s due to over tourism.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the hallway and elevator during my stay — they were quite dirty. Additionally, I was surprised that there was no free washing machine available. I had to spend over USD 10.00 each time just to wash and dry my clothes.
In contrast, when I stayed at Onyado Nono in Kyoto and Osaka, the laundry service was much more convenient: the washing machine was free, and drying only cost 200 yen. I hope your hotel can consider offering a similar service and improving cleanliness in shared areas.

The rooms are VERY small, there is absolutely no place to put stuff, and the bathroom is smaller than a cruise’s bathroom with again, nowhere to put your stuff.
Also, the hotel was packed with people, so waiting for the elevator was a nightmare. People used the onsen a lot, I didn’t try it, but that was another reason for the congestion in the elevators.
The hotel is super close to Dotonbori street and there are lots of places to eat or buy food, but there are soo many people in the area. I don’t know if it’s always like this, or we came in at a especially busy time, but it was overwhelming with so many people

The rooms are nice, the top-floor onsen fabulous. Staff was friendly and the location is in the heart of a busy, energetic area, close to the dotonburi.
Our biggest issue was that on arrival, our bathroom smelled terribly of urine. They sent cleaners but it remained terrible. We had to ask to be sent to another room, which was on a different floor from the rest of our group. The next day we did move back up again, but moving through three different rooms in 24 hours was less restful than we had hoped, and we would have preferred to have the situation resolved sooner. However, it was eventually resolved, and the rest of our stay was very enjoyable.
The only other thing is that while the lobby is fairly large, there are very few places to sit in it, and since the hotel also accommodates large groups, it was often filled with people and luggage and hard to maneuver.
However, we would stay here again for the onsen!

Bad point, small room, expensive room, breakfast is not nice, check out at 11am and need to carry your heavy luggage to lock it by your own and if you are unluckily, no space for ground, need to use your hand to carry and put on the second level of shelves. Abit disappointment with their arrangement.

Probably best not to visit central Osaka, it's dirty, people are rude and pushy in the crowds, unlike the rest of Japan. The hotel was a good location and that was it. Room was tiny, good job I didn't bring a cat as I couldn't have swung it in the bathroom. Lots of cleaning required, it's obviously very busy and they just don't get the time to clean properly.
