Our room was absolutely gorgeous! The room staff members were quick to respond to anything we needed. The palace was a dream but the only reason I gave it a 4 was because it was so huge and the signage to find your room was difficult to use. And it would have been nice to have several convenience stores at each section of the hotel to purchase over the counter meds, drinks, snacks and even small souvenirs. The souvenir shop has very few items and I wanted to buy one of the signature fans but for $100 I would have expected a fan that had some pearls (even fake ones) and not a fan that looked like it was worth $5. The gift shops had too many items that were not worth the time to buy for souvenirs and many were repetitive. I’d analyze the type of goods that are sold and reduce repetitive type shops! I do have to give a big shout out to the best team members in the EP CLUB; thanks to Wai, Stephen & Koffi for always preparing our “usual table for 4”, always being kind and attentive and to the chefs for preparing different delectables every day! Oh and the staff at the pools and beaches were so kind and attentive too! I also loved the lobby guys who were always great at getting us a golf cart to take us to the very end of the palace!!! Oh and the walk around the marina was beautiful. You may want to include a small snack bar at the very end near the giant yacht! Oh and we love the temperature in the pool and hot tubs and we also love the beautiful patisseries in the lobby!

Although the property has gigantic proportions that make it at times unnavigable and makes it feel impersonal this is definitely an Arabian Nights palace with impeccable service and pool areas among the most beautiful in the world - with a private beach! It’s a bit far from everything else but with a unique beach front view to the newest and even more spectacular Sultan palace. I have also checked the Four Seasons which pales in comparison with this

Upon arrival I was a little worried that due to the size and quantity of rooms, we would be forgotten about and not receive the 5 Star hotel experience but we were wrong!
There is an army of dutiful staff members always available and there to help, our room was a superb garden terrace next to the Mexican restaurant where we had early morning coffees.

The most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed and will probably ever stay. We were made to feel very special. My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary and my daughter turned 7. The staff made us feel so special. The Palace itself is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world and sells itself. This was amazing value for money, with an amazing family pool with waterslides and lazy river; amazing amenities in the rooms; a stunning beach with the warmest stillest waters I've ever swam in; complimentary camel riding, kayaking, paddle boarding etc. The list goes on - It's perfect!

Is a standard stay, not a great stay
The hotel is nice, but honestly, it doesn’t stand out. None of the rooms have a great view, and while the palace nearby is beautiful, the rooms, amenities, and overall experience are pretty standard. There’s nothing here that you can’t get at many other hotels in Abu Dhabi.

This was the most gorgeous hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff, from the front desk throughout the entire property, were super helpful! It was an enormous place and easy to get lost in, but it was also extremely comfortable and luxurious. Will definitely be staying here again when we visit next!

Overall good hard product, some parts of the hotel is a bit dated but the rooms are modern. The services are below standards of Mandarin Oriental. No welcome fruits, just a box of mini sweets. No one showed me the room and lack of attention from the pool staff. The room service food were terrible. I had a stir-fry vegetable with chicken for dinner. It was the worst Chinese food I ever had. It was too salty, and sour also overcooked. It is unacceptable from a hotel brand with Asian heritage. Overall not worth the hype.

No VIP status received. Didn’t actually get given a room until 6pm in the evening and we landed at 7am. Told when checking in hotel was full in the king category and yet I could go online and book multiple rooms in that category. Hotel rectified some bits with free breakfast, champagne etc but it shouldn’t happen in the first place. Communication was v poor.

Wonderful hotel, amazing staff. We enjoyed the EP lounge and would recommend upgrading to this level. The food and all of the staff in the EP lounge were fabulous.
We had 6 very relaxing days but then had to put up with building works and loud noise for 4 days and evenings while they were preparing for a large wedding. We felt this spoilt a large part of our holiday.

Security was high and we felt very safe. The beach and sports facilities were wonderful. This is the best hotel we have stayed in Abu Dhabi in many years of visiting - should have stayed earlier - Perfect!

The rooms are wonderful and the hotel is spectacular.
We stayed in the club room with access to the EP lounge- the food was exceptional (Veronica and all the chefs are doing a fabulous job) but the service was extremely poor which was clearly driven by the management led by Hemraj- we did speak with him but felt it was a disingenuous apology and a lot of excuses even though capacity was around 30%, tables were left with dirty plates, took us 20minutes for a baby cup with some water. Thank you to Stephen, Anthea and Sandra who looked after us during our stay in the EP club.
On our first night we were above what a seemed to be a nightclub - it was a convention. The music and noise didn’t stop until 1am which led to a horrible night of sleep for our 8 month old baby. The hotel compensated us with dirihams, equivalent of £200 but this doesn’t equate to the £550 we spent on the hotel night itself.
We ate in the restaurants in the evening and met Chef George who was wonderful, warm and engaging- we went to Broadway, the steak and lamb was exceptional as were the staff! He also recommended Koal and Sand (the bbq restaurant), every dish was phenomenal- a must go and a beautiful setting! The Indian and Lebanese restaurants were great, food was delicious but not the best we’ve had but again the staff and service was wonderful.
If you’re looking for a club lounge experience then we would suggest Jumeirah Zabeel Saray as a first choice and then Juneriah Beach Hotel.

This was a vacation that I had planned for my vip client who only looks for the best of service and quality. Of course with that being said, I had to pick the Mandarin Oriental. They executed wonderfully and left us feeling very welcomed and taken care of in every moment. A very special shout out to Frida as she definitely understands the art of service and hospitality. She maintained a very professional attitude while also being personable, she truly went above and beyond with any and all requests. She definitely deserves the best, and you guys should be grateful to have her as part of your team. Also wanted to mention Oussama who was the other butler that really amazed me! We ended up having long conversations and truly felt like he was one of my best friends. In the generation we live in, we need more people like Oussama. The club lounge staff was also impeccable. Unfortunately I don’t have the name of the lady who was taking care of us, but she was fridas friend. I believe she would do an amazing job as a butler or a higher position as well. Our whole group was beyond impressed by these 3 and that’s the key reason why my client, Mr. Viviano, will be returning to this immaculate property. I truly am a fan, and look forward to viewing more mandarin properties around the world. We will be sure to return to Abu Dhabi and only would ever think of staying in the Mandarin! The grounds were stunning, the facilities second to none, the rooms immaculate and the dining options were extremely varied - with 3 Michelin starred restaurants! This is the best hotel I ever stayed! Luxury with outstanding comfort. Fun complimentary camel rides, beautiful white sand beach, next door to Parliament House. Expensive but worth the money. Will definitely go back if visit Abu Dhabi again. Only little improvement, add more food variety at Vandome buffet and provide shuttle bus to major sites will be great!
