The Sultans Royal is an excellent place to stay, convenient for all the tourist attractions and within walking distance of the places of interest. The staff at the hotel are friendly and will accommodate any request (if they can), love their cheese toasties for breakfast. The rooms are cleaned daily and have all the amenities required for an enjoyable stay. We've been going there regularly and it feels like our 'second home'. Highly recommend staying here

The hotel is location is perfect if you want to stay around the Sultanahmet area, it's literally a 5 min walk away. There are also many restaurants and shops close by. The room was kept very clean and the breakfast was plentiful and sufficient. The staff were all kind and helpful. In particular, Rashad was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions all around. I had a great experience in all areas.

This hotel is a wonderful little refuge. Not far from the main tourist attractions (10-15 minute walk), but far enough to avoid the awful crowds and noise of the more central Sultanahmet areas. It's actually close to some of the better restaurants in the old town (check Eater). The rooms are clean and spacious, beds are comfortable and the hotel is generally cozy feeling. It is not the newest, most polished place- but at the price point and location it is a really great value, and even picky travelers will be ok with the cleanliness and space.
Most importantly, the staff are truly wonderful and very personable. They are warm, helpful, and went out of their way to accommodate us. This had a real impact on our stay, and gave it a personal touch that made the experience worthwhile.

The managers, daytime and night time, were amazing! We arrived early in the morning and check in was not until 2:00 p.m. The manager told us to go ahead and have breakfast on them and he would do everything he could to get us a room as soon as he could as we had flown all night. The first room that was available was more expensive than we had reserved but he gave it to us for the same price as our original room! There was also a nice a nice young gentleman who helped me late at night for an hour with my cell phone. Then there was Sonya, the cook, and maid. She was a sweetheart who went around at breakfast to make sure everyone like what she had made, She would go to the trouble of using the interpreter on her phone so she could speak to everyone in their language! When she cleaned your room, she would add a special touch to it like a heart on your bed or flower petals. That dear, sweet lady was worth her weight in gold!!!!!

My only issue was that the beds were small single beds, and the lamp shades were above the bed in the corner which i had to keep being careful not to knock into in the middle of the night. Also the switch was right behind the bed on my side which was awkward.
The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, local shops, tram lines, and grand bazaar are all local and easy to walk to. I didnt take the trams as i felt it was commutable on foot. Overall, we felt that we were well taken care of and will definately stay here again.

Sultans Royal Hotel is a good option if you want to stay in the old, historic part of the city with many good restaurant options nearby, and walking distance to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace / Museum. The service was very friendly, the only issue were the very tiny bathrooms / showers. Other than than, great space.
