Dersaadet hotel is a minute walk from the main tourist area of Istanbul yet is in a local, colorful neighborhood . A lovely old world atmosphere permeates the relaxing common area. Service throughout the property is impeccable.
We stayed in the sultan’s suite which boasts a sweeping view of the water all the way to Asia. The same view can be enjoyed from the breakfast room / bar all day or night. Breakfast was very good. We visited in early March, so it was too chilly to eat on the balcony but the plants provided a welcoming atmosphere.
Our room was spacious with a relaxing seating area plus a table and chairs and refrigerator. A single bed is in a small area by the balcony
around a corner providing a little privacy for a third guest.
The only negatives are a needed wall repair by that single
bed and some drapery repair where the fabric has detached from the rods. Both issues will probably be addressed before your visit.
